Abstract

The impact of mobile games now has a major influence on elementary students' learning motivation. The impact varies based on the intensity playing the game. This study aims to determine the impact of the intensity of playing a mobile legend game on the learning motivation of elementary school students in Bayongbong district. This research is a descriptive qualitative study with 10 students with high tendency of playing mobile legend games as research subjects Data was collected through interviews and FGD (forum group discussion) with students’ parents. The results were presented and grouped into three categories based on the intensity of playing time with the impact on learning motivation. The middle category (sometimes playing) resulted by 40% has no impact on learning motivation. The high intensity category (often playing) obtained 40% of respondents and the impact begins to decrease students’ learning motivation. The very high intensity category (always playing) gained 20 % and it make the respondents’ hav no learning motivation. This result showed that the intensity of playing mobile legend game has an impact on elementary school students' learning motivation. Teachers and parents should take this issue as relevant concern to guide their children achive better academic result.

Abstract

Cheating behavior is a phenomenon that often occurs in the education system in Indonesia. This will have an impact on the loss of moral values inherent in character education. Therefore, character education needs to be implemented early to deal with cheating behavior. The researchers try to describe the results of the exploration of cheating behavior among elementary school students. The approach in this study used a qualitative approach. The method used was descriptive in order to describe the phenomena. The research subjects were students of 4th grade of SDN 1 Cibeuti. Based on the results of students’ interviews, most students had cheated with various reasons. This research observed on 4 dimensions, namely: individualistic-opportunistic, independent-planned, social-active, and social-passive. Based on those four dimensions, the most prominent type is social-passive by 75%. While the individualistic-opportunistic type of 50%. While the social-active type is 25%. While the independent-planned type was not found cheating behavior or equivalent to 0%. So, it can be concluded that students tend to cheat because of difficult subjects. The benefit of this research is that the teacher can find out the main reasons students make and can overcome and reduce the students’ cheating behavior.

Abstract

Teachers' perceptions of video-assisted mathematics instruction in measurement topics within flipped classroom learning models vary. This study explores teachers' perceptions of using video-assisted mathematics instruction in measurement topics in elementary schools. A case study was conducted with 30 elementary school teachers teaching in various regions in Tasikmalaya. Data collection was carried out through questionnaire dissemination and interviews as research instruments. The data analysis technique employed in this study was Interactive Analysis, which involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research findings indicate that teachers' perceptions of video-assisted mathematics instruction encompassed cognitive aspects with an average score of 87.50%, affective aspects with an average score of 88.50% and psychomotor aspects with an average score of 89.50%. The results show that most teachers positively perceive using video-assisted mathematics instruction in measurement topics. Teachers state that video-assisted instruction helps students understand measurement concepts and makes learning more engaging and enjoyable for elementary school students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap pembentukan karakter mandiri peserta didik. Karakter mandiri menjadi bahasan utama atas permasalahan yang banyak terjadi di lingkup usia sekolah dasar. Rendahnya tingkat kemandirian peserta didik dalam aktivitas pmbelajaran, memiliki hubungan sejajar dengan motivasi belajar yang menjadi dasar yang mendorong dan menggerakan peserta didik memiliki karakter mandiri. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional untuk mengkaji hubungan antar variable penelitian. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDN Cikate Sukabumi, sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah Kelas IV. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengkaji korelasi antar variable adalah angket denggan menggunakan rating scale. Analisis data hasil penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan statistika deskriptif dan inferensial dalam aplikasi SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara motivasi belajar dengan karakter mandiri peserta didik. penelitian ini menemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi dengan karakter mandiri peserta didik kelas IV SDN 1 Cikate. Motivasi mempengaruhi kemandirian peserta didik sebesar 32,2%. Kekuatan hubungan antara motivasi dengan karakter mandiri peserta didik termasuk kategori sedang. Semakin tinggi motivasi pada diri peserta didik maka semakin tinggi pula karakter mandiri peserta didik.

Abstract

This research is a research on the development of the “Teman Disabilitas” application to instill the value of empathy for people with physical disabilities. The purpose of the research is to find out the need for applications based on the value of empathy for disability in elementary schools, develop and describe the form of application designs based on the value of empathy for disabilities in elementary schools, conduct trials of application products based on empathy values for disabilities in elementary schools, and produce a form of the end of the application product based on the value of empathy for disabilities in elementary schools. The method in this research is Design Based Research according to Reeves. This research was conducted at SD Islamic Leader School. The stages in this research are (1) principles and collaborative problem and practice analysis, (2) prototype development as a solution based on existing design, and technological innovations, (3) iterative testing cycle and solution refinement in practice, and (4) cycle improvement and refinement of solutions in practice. The types of data collection used are interviews, questionnaires, observations, and Values Clarification Test. The final product of this research is the “Teman Disabilitas” application. This research trial was conducted before and before using the “Teman Disabilitas” application using the Values Clarification Test. Based on data analysis, there was an increase in the empathy value of students before and before using the "Teman Disabilitas" application.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan aplikasi “Teman Disabilitas” guna menanamkan nilai empati kepada disabilitas fisik. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui kebutuhan aplikasi berbasis nilai empati terhadap disabilitas di Sekolah Dasar, mengembangkan dan mendeskripsikan bentuk rancanagan aplikasi berbasis nilai empati terhadap disabilitas di Sekolah Dasar, melakukan uji coba produk aplikasi berbasis nilai empati terhadap disabilitas di Sekolah Dasar, dan menghasilkan bentuk akhir produk aplikasi berbasis nilai empati terhadap disabilitas di Sekolah Dasar. Metode pada penelitian ini yaitu Design Based Reseacrh menurut Reeves. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Islamic Leader School. Adapun tahapan pada penelitian ini (1) identifikasi dan analisis masalah dan praktisi secara kolaboratif, (2) pengembangan prototype sebagai solusi yang berdasarkan desain, prinsip, dan inovasi teknologi yang ada, (3) siklus berulang pengujian dan penyempurnaan solusi dalam praktik, dan (4) siklus berulang pengujian dan penyempurnaan solusi dalam praktik. Jenis pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, angket, observasi, dan Values Clarification Test. Produk akhir penelitian ini berupa aplikasi “Teman Disabilitas”. Uji coba penelitian ini dilakukan pada saat sesudah dan sebelum menggunakan aplikasi “Teman Disabilitas” menggunakan Values Clarification Test. Berdasarkan analisis data adanya peningkatan nilai empati peserta didik pada saat sesudah dan sebelum menggunakan aplikasi “Teman Disabilitas”.

Abstract

Keterampilan menulis sangatlah penting untuk dimiliki setiap siswa sejak dini. Kegiatan menulis akan menghasilkan sebuah produk, salah satunya teks undangan resmi. Kemampuan menulis teks undangan resmi merupakan kemampuan yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa. Namun, layaknya juga dalam setiap belajar sesuatu yang baru, pembelajar bahasa akan menemui berbagai kesulitan dan kendala dalam proses pembelajaran yang dijalaninya. Kesulitan-kesulitan inilah yang kemudian menyebabkan kesalahan-kesalahan. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan analisis penggunaan kata baku, khususnya dalam penulisan teks undangan resmi yang dibuat oleh siswa kelas V SDN Mugarsari Kota Tasikmalaya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk ketidakbakuan kata pada teks undangan resmi siswa beserta penyebab terjadinya ketidakbakuan kata tersebut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebagai suatu gambaran kemampuan siswa kelas V dalam menggunakan kata baku khususnya pada teks undangan resmi yang telah dibuatnya. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Berdasarkan penelitian yang sudah dilaksanakan, hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu: pertama bentuk ketidakbakuan kata pada teks undangan siswa adalah (1) alternasi huruf (huruf vokal, huruf konsonan, huruf vokal dan konsonan), (2) menghilangkan huruf (huruf vokal, huruf konsonan, huruf vokal dan konsonan), (3) menambah huruf konsonan, (4) ejaan yang tidak benar. Kedua, ketidakbakuan berdasarkan jenis kata adalah (1) kata benda, (2) kata sifat, (3) kata kerja, (4) kata penghubung, (5) kata keterangan. Ketiga, penyebab ketidakbakuan kata.

Abstract

This research is based on student’s mathematical problem solving ability isn’t as expected. Using children’s storybook with mathematical concept is expected to be the one of many solutions to that problem, but unfortunately it’s still difficult to find children’s storybook that support mathematics learning in elementary school. The purposes of this research are : 1) to describe the information about children’s storybook with mathematical concept; 2) to describe the design principles of children’s storybook that will be developed; 3) the final product of children’s storybook. This research is using educational design research method with Reeves model which consist of 3 steps : 1) analysis and exploration; 2) design and construction; 3) evaluation and reflection. The results of this research are : 1) to tell the information about children’s storybook with mathematical; 2) design principles of the character based math storybook for elementary school; 3) final product of this research is produced a children’s storybook with “Weather” topic which contained about fraction and character building in the story. Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang belum sesuai dengan harapan. Penggunaan buku cerita yang mengandung konsep matematika diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu solusi permasalahan tersebut, namun sayangnya masih sulit ditemukan buku cerita anak yang mendukung pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu : 1) mendeskripsikan ketersediaan buku cerita anak yang mengandung konsep matematika; 2) mendeskripsikan prinsip desain dari buku cerita anak yang akan dikembangkan; 3) Produk akhir buku cerita anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode EDR (Educational Design Research) dengan model Reeves yang terdiri dari 3 tahap penelitian, yaitu : 1) Analisis dan Eksplorasi; 2) Desain dan Konstruksi; 3) Evaluasi dan Refleksi. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu : 1) menghasilkan data tentang ketersediaan buku cerita anak yang mengandung konsep matematika; 2) prinsip desain buku cerita anak bermuatan karakter untuk pembelajaran matematika; 3) produk akhir dari penelitian ini menghasilkan buku cerita anak bertema cuaca yang memuat konten pecahan dan pendidikan karakter melalui tokoh-tokoh dalam cerita.
