Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO, 2023), immunization is a highly effective health intervention in reducing infant and toddler mortality. More than 1.8 million Indonesian children have not received complete routine immunizations over the past six years, from 2018 to 2023. This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal knowledge and compliance with basic immunizations in infants in the Sidomulyo Community Health Center (UPTD) Work Area, Bengkulu City, in 2025. The study used a cross-sectional design, with data collected by distributing questionnaires to 40 mothers with infants aged 12-59 months using a simple random sampling technique. Univariate analysis results showed that almost half of the respondents (17 (42.5%) in the Sidomulyo Community Health Center (UPTD) Work Area, Bengkulu City, had inadequate knowledge, and more than half (22 (55.0%) in the Sidomulyo Community Health Center (UPTD) Work Area, Bengkulu City, in 2025) were non-compliant with their infants' basic immunizations. Bivariate analysis revealed a significant relationship between maternal knowledge and infant compliance with basic immunizations in the Sidomulyo Community Health Center (Puskesmas) Work Area of Bengkulu City in 2025, with a p-value of 0.017. The Sidomulyo Community Health Center (Puskesmas) of Bengkulu City should enhance health promotion efforts through ongoing counseling and education regarding the importance of basic immunizations for infants. This education should not only emphasize the type and schedule of immunizations, but also the benefits, safety, and management of post-immunization side effects.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease that requires long-term management through lifestyle modification and adherence to therapy. Health education is an essential intervention to improve patients’ self-efficacy and self-care in supporting lifelong treatment. Good self-efficacy enhances patients’ confidence in managing their condition, while optimal self-care contributes to improved quality of life. This study aimed to determine the effect of education on self-efficacy and self-care among patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in the working area of Batujaya Primary Health Center, Karawang. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a one-group pretest–posttest design. The sampling technique used was proportional purposive sampling, involving 32 respondents. The instruments used were the Diabetes Management Self-Efficacy Scale (DMSES) and the Summary of Diabetes Self-Care Activities (SDSCA) questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the paired t-test. The results showed an improvement in self-efficacy and self-care after the educational intervention. Statistical analysis revealed a p-value of 0.000 for self-efficacy and 0.000 for self-care (p 0.05), indicating a significant effect of education on self-efficacy and self-care among patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It is recommended that primary health centers optimize continuous health education, counseling, and health promotion programs to enhance patients’ ability to manage their condition and improve their quality of life

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is menstrual pain frequently experienced by adolescent girls and impacts concentration, school attendance, and quality of life. One psychological factor contributing to dysmenorrhea is stress levels. Stress can affect reproductive hormone balance, thereby worsening menstrual pain. This study aimed to determine the relationship between stress levels and dysmenorrhea among adolescent girls at SMAN 1 Bengkulu City in 2025. This study used quantitative analytical methods with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 80 respondents, all female adolescents in grades 10 and 11 at SMAN 1 Bengkulu City. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods using the Chi-Square test.. The results showed that almost all respondents experienced moderate stress (37.5%) and moderate dysmenorrhea (36.3%). The results of the Chi-Square test obtained a p-value (0.022) smaller than the ∝ value (0.05), so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that statistically there is a significant relationship between stress levels and the incidence of dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls at DMAN 1 Bengkulu City in 2025.. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that schools and health workers provide education on stress management and reproductive health as an effort to prevent and treat dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls.

Abstract

due to impaired insulin secretion and function. In addition to physical impacts, this disease also impacts patients' psychological well-being, including anxiety. Anxiety can trigger a stress response through increased levels of the hormones cortisol and epinephrine, which contribute to elevated blood sugar levels. Data from the Telaga Dewa Community Health Center in Bengkulu shows that the number of Type II Diabetes Mellitus patients continues to increase annually. This study aims to determine the relationship between anxiety levels and blood sugar levels in Type II Diabetes Mellitus patients at the Telaga Dewa Community Health Center in Bengkulu. This study used a descriptive analytical method with a cross-sectional design. The sample size was 68 respondents, using a purposive sampling technique. Anxiety levels were measured using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS), while blood sugar levels were measured using a glucometer. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed that most respondents experienced moderate levels of anxiety and had uncontrolled blood sugar levels. Bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between anxiety levels and blood sugar levels in patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus. The p-value was 0.000. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between anxiety levels and blood sugar levels in patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus at the Telaga Dewa Community Health Center in Bengkulu City. It is recommended that patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus pay more attention to their psychological well-being, implement stress management, and undergo regular health check-ups to help maintain controlled blood sugar levels.

Abstract

Community health centers are the primary healthcare facilities in Indonesia, but many of the services provided are still of poor quality. Service quality can be described by patient waiting times and unintegrated patient data. This is due to inadequate infrastructure to support services. Therefore, the government has issued a policy for community health centers to use a community health center management information system. The purpose of this study is to determine the perspectives of health workers in implementing a community health center management information system. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a centralized interview approach. The participants of this study were 14 health workers taken by purposive sampling. The location of this study was three community health centers in Bukittinggi City, namely the Nilam Sari Community Health Center, the Guguk Panjang Community Health Center, and the Tigo Baleh Community Health Center. This research instrument used an interview sheet and data were collected through semi-structured interviews with data analysis techniques through the use of thematic content analysis. The results of this study are described in two themes: the first theme of the information system facilitating work and improving the quality of services in community health centers and the second theme of obstacles to using the community health center information system consisting of infrastructure constraints such as network and application errors. Thus, it was concluded that the implementation of the community health center information system supported services at the community health center, but there were several obstacles during use, such as network and application errors. Therefore, the researchers hope that this research will be continued with the design of an adequate community health center management information system application by integrating other applications.

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) remains a public health problem in Indonesia. The success of TB treatment is greatly influenced by patient compliance in taking Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs (OAT). Low motivation and lack of family support can cause patients to be non-compliant in taking OAT, thereby increasing the risk of treatment failure. This study aims to determine the relationship between motivation and family support with adherence to taking OAT in pulmonary TB patients at Batujaya Community Health Center in 2026. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The study population was 114 pulmonary TB patients with a sample of 53 respondents selected using proportional purposive sampling technique. Data collection used a questionnaire and analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed a relationship between motivation and adherence to taking OAT with a p-value = 0.000 (
