Abstract

This study aims to describe smartphone usage behaviors among high school students in Tarutung City, and students' perceptions of the benefits of smartphones for learning. It is a quantitative study with a descriptive survey design. The research population consists of 3,604 students, and the sample size was determined using the Krejcie table, with 354 students selected at a 95% confidence level and a 5% margin of error. Stratified random sampling was used to select the sample. The results show that smartphones serve a dual role, functioning as a highly valuable learning aid and an alternative source of knowledge. However, smartphones also present challenges to students' social and psychological development, potentially fostering negative behaviors, such as decreased social interactions, weakened emotional connections, and increased risk of cyberbullying. Students perceive smartphones as having a positive potential to support learning. A limitation of this research is that it only included high school students, limiting its generalizability across all student smartphone users. Future research is recommended to include samples from all levels of education.

Abstract

The livestock business in Kampung Kolam village is dominated by dairy goats. One reason many dairy goat farmers raise goats in the area is to facilitate the sale of fresh goat milk products due to the proximity of Medan City and the abundance of land available to grow forage for dairy goats. The Community Service program was well-implemented and ran smoothly, meeting the established goals and plans. The questionnaire assessment given to participants during the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) before the presentation was 36.69%, and after the presentation, the understanding of hygiene practices increased to 93.33%. The community service team created and motivated all livestock group members to use teat dipping and pasteurization equipment according to procedures, ensuring proper hygiene practices, improving goat milk production in their businesses, and increasing their income and sales.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the Effectiveness of Knowledge-Based Economy on China's Economic Growth. The research design used is quantitative correlation where this study is a study that investigates the extent to which variations in a factor are related to variations in one or more other factors based on the correlation coefficient, while what is meant by quantitative research is research where the data used is in the form of numbers. In this knowledge era, the potential of natural resources owned by a country does not guarantee a country is able to develop and grow the economy sustainably, in this case many developed countries also implement a knowledge-based economy, especially China where China is able to implement a knowledge-based economy and can be declared successful and able to grow its economic growth well, when compared to countries that follow the basics of a knowledge-based economy. China in its level of development which is none other than implementing the concept of a knowledge-based economy can be called successful by looking at the level of economic growth which every year shows increasingly positive results where the growth is 10% growth. In the 1980s when China was still experiencing a political dilemma of the state by adopting a socialist stream that still could not develop well, but when the change of leadership and the change of stream where the stream adopted was capitalism showed drastic changes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Ekonomi kelas X di SMA Swasta Bandung Percut Sei Tuan. Latar belakang penelitian ini did asari oleh rendahnya hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa, yang ditunjukkan oleh data awal bahwa 50% lebih siswa belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) sebesar 75. Salah satu penyebab utamanya adalah metode pembelajaran konvensional seperti ceramah yang masih dominan digunakan. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, strategi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi diterapkan agar proses belajar sesuai dengan kesiapan, minat, dan profil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen dan desain pretest-posttest control group. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 58 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen (X-2) dan kelas kontrol (X-3), masing-masing sebanyak 29 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes hasil belajar dan angket motivasi belajar. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji-t (independent sample t-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai posttest hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen sebesar 84,14 lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol sebesar 69,38. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelas. Untuk motivasi belajar, rata-rata skor posttest kelas eksperimen adalah 88,62, sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya 73,79, dengan hasil uji-t sebesar Sig. 0,000 yang juga menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan. Selain itu, uji peningkatan menggunakan N-Gain menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol, baik pada aspek hasil belajar maupun motivasi.Dengan demikian, strategi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Ekonomi. Strategi ini dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif model pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka dan mampu menjawab kebutuhan belajar siswa yang beragam.

Abstract

The 2025 Solo Vocal Competition and National Choir organized by Ombas Arts Indonesia is a tangible form of community service that integrates sound arts with character education and strengthening nationalist values. Through the active participation of children aged 9-14 years from various regions, this activity aims to instill the spirit of nationalism, strengthen cultural identity, and shape the character of the younger generation through meaningful musical expression. This activity is designed as an educational and inclusive space, where vocal art is used as a medium of social and emotional learning. This article examines the background of the activity, the implementation method, as well as the results and social impact on the participants and the surrounding community. The analysis was conducted with an art-based character education approach and supported by academic literature and community-based art practices. The results of the study show that art activities such as national vocal competitions are able to strengthen the love of the homeland, increase children's confidence, and build social cohesion between participants and supporting institutions. This article recommends the development of similar activities as a sustainable strategy in character education and art service to the community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Ekonomi di kelas X SMA Swasta Utama Medan Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Model pembelajaran CPS diterapkan karena diyakini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif, serta pemecahan masalah siswa yang berdampak positif terhadap hasil belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian One-Shot Case Study. Subjek penelitian adalah satu kelas X-1 yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar yang diberikan setelah perlakuan. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar siswa setelah perlakuan adalah 81,30. Uji normalitas menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal. Uji One Sample t-Test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa dan nilai KKM 75 (t = 13,196; sig. = 0,000). Analisis regresi sederhana menunjukkan bahwa model CPS berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar (sig. = 0,038; R² = 0,145). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa.
