Abstract

The motivation behind this research is that if you use a traditional learning model, a learning process that focuses on the role of the teacher can cause less active teaching and learning activities. This reduces students' enthusiasm for learning. In fact, teachers must be able to choose learning models based on the characteristics of the students they teach. The aim of this research is to find out how teachers of the Aqidah Akhlak teaching subject apply the problem-based learning model in class XI MA Al Khairiyah Pabuaran Cilegon. A descriptive approach was used in this research, data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, key informants such as moral teaching subject teachers, and supporting informants such as class XI students and school administrators. The results of the research show that students' interest in learning moral beliefs with problem-based learning is considered very good. Students can engage with everyday topics, think critically, and work in groups to solve problems they encounter during learning activities in class.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in schools today tends to be limited to formula memorization and routine exercises, leading to a lack of cognitive engagement of students. Learning innovations are needed that can develop mathematical reflective thinking skills. This study aims to determine the difference in the improvement of mathematical reflective thinking skills between students who are taught using problem-solving strategies by drawing diagrams and students who are taught by the expository method. This study used a quasi-experiment design with a Randomized Posttest Only Control Group Design, involving a population of 288 grade VIII students. Two groups were randomly selected from clusters, each consisting of 36 students; one group as an experiment and the other as a control. Data were collected through a written test of mathematical reflective thinking ability and analyzed using an independent sample t-test to see significant differences between groups. The results showed that students who were taught with diagramming strategies experienced a significant improvement in mathematical reflective thinking skills compared to the control group. This study concludes that the diagramming strategy is effective in improving mathematical reflective thinking skills and helping students in solving problems systematically.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of transformational leadership among principals in Islamic Senior High Schools in Indonesia within the context of the digital era. The study aims to analyze how transformational leadership influences teacher motivation and performance, to identify the leadership roles of principals, and to examine the challenges and strategies applied in digital educational transformation. Employing a qualitative descriptive multi-case study design, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis from two Islamic Senior High Schools located in Serang Regency and Serang City. The findings reveal that principals successfully applied the four dimensions of transformational leadership (idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration) in guiding teachers through digital adaptation. They acted as motivators, facilitators, and innovators, fostering collaboration and professional growth through digital initiatives. The integration of Islamic moral values such as amanah (trustworthiness), adl (justice), and ihsan (excellence) enriched the leadership’s ethical and spiritual foundation. Despite facing challenges such as digital inequality, limited infrastructure, and resistance to change, the principals implemented adaptive strategies, including continuous professional development, mentoring, and spiritual reinforcement. The study concludes that transformational leadership grounded in Islamic ethics and digital competence significantly enhances teacher motivation and performance, offering a sustainable framework for educational transformation in the 21st century.
