Abstract

The integration of sustainability principles into human resource management has gained increasing scholarly attention, yet comprehensive frameworks addressing economic, social, and environmental dimensions simultaneously remain insufficiently developed. Whilst previous research has examined socially responsible HRM, green HRM, and sustainable work systems independently, the fragmented nature of these investigations limits understanding of how organisations can operationalise triple bottom line principles through strategic human resource management. This study employs a bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review to explore the incorporation of triple bottom line concepts into sustainable human resource management scholarship. Bibliometric data were collected from the Scopus database covering publications between 2015 and 2025, analysed using VOSviewer and Bibliometrix package in R to map intellectual structures, publication trends, and thematic evolution. The findings reveal substantial growth in sustainable HRM and green HRM research over the past decade, with three dominant typologies identified: socially responsible HRM, green HRM, and triple bottom line HRM. However, persistent challenges include conceptual fragmentation, inside-out economic orientations, and geographical imbalances in research contributions. The study contributes empirically by documenting intellectual evolution of triple bottom line research in sustainable HRM and conceptually by synthesising how economic viability, social equity, and environmental responsibility are progressively operationalised within human resource management domains.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of adaptation strategies for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the integration of digital marketing, creative innovation, and technological capabilities in responding to business environment uncertainty. The study employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method, where data were obtained from various scientific publications and credible sources through searches on Google Scholar and official websites of relevant institutions within the period of 1991–2026. From an initial pool of 50 articles, a rigorous selection process was conducted based on relevance, quality, and contribution to the research topic, resulting in 27 articles for further analysis using descriptive analysis techniques. The findings indicate that the integration of digital marketing enables expanded market access and improved customer interaction, while creative innovation plays a role in generating product differentiation and business flexibility. Technological capabilities are also proven to enhance operational efficiency and MSME readiness in facing change. However, the implementation of these three aspects still encounters various challenges, such as low digital literacy, limited access to technology, and suboptimal policy support. Therefore, integrated efforts are required through strengthening human resource capacity, providing access to technology and financing, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders to sustainably enhance MSME resilience and competitiveness.

Abstract

Purpose – This study examines how digital technology integration and social capital influence tourism income in a community-based tourism context. While digital marketing has become an essential strategy in modern tourism development, its effectiveness often depends on the strength of social relationships and community participation. This research aims to analyze the combined role of digital technology, social capital, and communication collaboration in improving tourism income in Ketapanrame Tourism Village, Mojokerto Regency, Indonesia. Design/method/approach – This study employs a quantitative explanatory approach using a cross-sectional survey. Data were collected from tourism stakeholders in Ketapanrame Village through a structured questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS to evaluate the relationships among digital technology, social capital, communication collaboration, and tourism income. Findings – The findings reveal that social capital has the strongest positive and significant effect on tourism income, indicating that trust, community participation, and strong social networks play a crucial role in generating economic benefits from tourism activities. Digital technology significantly strengthens social capital but shows a weak and negative direct effect on tourism income, suggesting that the current use of digital technology has not yet been fully optimized to produce direct economic returns. Communication collaboration significantly supports stakeholder interaction; however, its relationship with tourism income appears negative, indicating that existing coordination mechanisms may still be inefficient or overly bureaucratic. Implications – The results highlight the importance of strengthening community social networks alongside digital transformation initiatives in tourism villages. Policymakers and tourism managers should focus on improving digital literacy, fostering participatory governance, and developing integrated community-based digital marketing strategies to maximize tourism income and ensure sustainable tourism development. Novelty/Originality – This study proposes an integrated techno-social tourism framework by combining the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Social Capital Theory to explain tourism income generation in a rural tourism village context, an area that remains relatively underexplored in empirical tourism research.
