Abstract

The urgency of this community service program lies in the fact that Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is the backbone of the Indonesian economy—contributing over 60% to national GDP. As financial technology (fintech) continues to evolve, the gap between opportunity and MSMEs’ readiness is widening. Without timely intervention, many MSMEs risk being excluded from the benefits of Indonesia’s growing digital economy, limiting their growth and long-term resilience. This   community service was designed to raise awareness of financial digitalization among MSMEs and Indonesian migrant workers in Penang, Malaysia. The objective is to enhance understanding of digital bookkeeping, electronic payments (QRIS, e-wallets), fintech-based financing (P2P lending, crowdfunding), and basic investment access. By increasing awareness, the program aims to strengthen MSMEs' financial transparency, digital readiness, and long-term business prospects. The sessions were designed to be interactive and accessible for participants with limited prior exposure to fintech tools. Results of the program engaged 35 MSME participants. Evaluation results showed that 91% improved their awareness of digital  knowledge, 86% gained understanding of QRIS and e-wallets, and 74% expressed interest in fintech funding options.  Contribution of the program       enhances MSMEs’ preparedness for digital financial inclusion, supports national goals of economic digitalization, and aligns with higher education’s mandate to deliver measurable social impact through community service.

Abstract

The low competitiveness of the Indonesian manufacturing industry is a current phenomenon causing a decline in Indonesia's manufacturing industry competitiveness ranking below that of Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. This indicates that Indonesia needs to enhance four factors: national economic performance, policy efficiency, business efficiency, and infrastructure. The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of factors affecting competitiveness. The data analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The population in this study is companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange. Data collection used purposive sampling method, with a total sample size of 212, with a sampling quota of 109 companies that have both sales increases and decreases annually. In this study, there are independent variables such as Asset Intensity, Employee Intensity, and Intellectual Capital, dependent variable Competitiveness, and mediating variable Cost Stickiness. The results of the research show that the variables of employee intensity and intellectual capital have an influence in this study, whereas asset intensity does not have an influence in this study. Additionally, Cost Stickiness has not been able to mediate the influence on Asset Intensity, Employee Intensity, and Intellectual Capital.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and test the impact of Business Diversification, Investment Decisions, and Good Corporate Governance on Company Performance. Company performance is measured using Return on Assets (ROA), while the independent variables include Business Line, Asset Growth, and Institutional Ownership, with Company Size as a control variable. The research population consists of industrial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines during the period of 2019-2022. The sample size was calculated using the Slovin formula, resulting in 95 companies, with 19 companies selected from each country (quota random sampling), totaling 380 data points for analysis. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the aid of Eviews 12 statistical software. The results show that Business Diversification, Investment Decisions, and Institutional Ownership have a positive and significant impact on Return on Assets. Analysis for each ASEAN country concluded that business diversification does not have a significant effect in Indonesia, investment decisions do not have a significant effect in Malaysia, and Institutional Ownership does not have a significant effect in Thailand.

Abstract

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic metabolic condition characterized by insulin resistance and impaired glucose metabolism, leading to elevated blood sugar levels. Effective blood glucose management is essential to prevent serious complications such as cardiovascular disease, renal failure, and neuropathy. This study aimed to investigate the impact of low-impact aerobic exercise on blood glucose levels among T2DM patients. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test approach. A total of 74 participants were divided into two groups: an intervention group (n=37) that underwent a two-week low-impact aerobic exercise program, and a control group (n=37) that received no intervention. Respondent demographic characteristics included age, gender, education level, and occupation. Blood glucose levels were measured using a standardized digital glucometer. Data were analyzed using paired t-tests and independent t-tests with a significance level of p < 0.05. The results showed a significant decrease in mean blood glucose levels within the intervention group, dropping from 266.27 mg/dL to 173.14 mg/dL (p=0.001). Conversely, the control group showed no significant difference, with blood glucose levels changing from 256.83 mg/dL to 259.22 mg/dL. The independent t-test confirmed a significant difference between the intervention and control groups following the intervention (p=0.001).  In conclusion, low-impact aerobic exercise is effective in reducing blood glucose levels in T2DM patients. Based on these findings, low-intensity physical activity is recommended as a safe and effective non-pharmacological management strategy for diabetes patients to maintain routine glycemic control.
