Abstract

Penggunaan strategi pembelajaran yang tepat merupakan salah satu faktor keberhasilan dari suatu proses pembelajaran.Berdasarkan observasi peneliti di SDN Nguruhan 01 Kecamatan Soko Kabupaten Tuban tempat peneliti mengajar, dalam pembelajaran guru masih menggunakan strategi pembelajaran lama. Guru hanya menggunakan strategi ceramah, sedangkan siswa hanya duduk diam dan mendengarkan penjelasan guru. Guru juga hanya terpaku pada buku paket. Hal ini membuat pembelajaran menjadi membosankan dan menimbulkan rasa malas pada siswa yang pada akhirnya berpengaruh pada nilai prestasi belajar siswa. Keadaan semacam ini juga mempengaruhi tingkat pemahaman siswa pada apa yang sedang dipelajari. Siswa hanya akan paham selama materi itu disampaikan. Namun sesudahnya siswa akan lupa begitu saja karena konsep yang tertanam dalam pikiran siswa kurang begitu kuat. Hal ini mengakibatkan rendahnya nilai hasil belajar siswa yang masih di bawah KKM. Dari sinilah perlu adanya perubahan pada proses pembelajaran yang dapat membuat siswa merasa bahwa apa yang mereka pelajari menjadi lebih bermakna dan tidak mudah hilang meski waktu pelaksanaan pembelajaran sudah lewat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah penerapan Quantum Teaching untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA di kelas V SDN Nguruhan 01 Kecamatan Soko Kabupaten Tuban. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Tiap siklus, terdiri dari empat komponen yaitu: rencana, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV Nguruhan 01 Kecamatan Soko Kabupaten Tuban berjumlah 11 siswa, terdiri dari 9 siswa perempuan dan 3 siswa laki-laki. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, angket dan catatan lapangan dan lembar tes hasil belajar. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Quantum Teaching dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa. Peningkatan hasil belajar dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 71,73% menjadi 81,82%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode Quantum Teaching dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SDN Nguruhan 01 Kecamatan Soko Kabupaten Tuban. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalahan yang terjadi yaitu media yang digunakan oleh guru sangatlah terbatas dan guru hanya berceramah dalam menyampaikan materi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Hasil penelitian meliputi aktivitas guru pada siklus I mencapai persentase 84,38%, sedangkan pada siklus II mencapai persentase 89,06%, aktivitas siswa pada siklus I mencapai persentase 84,21%, sedangkan pada siklus II mencapai persentase 88,16%, hasil belajar pada siklus I mencapai rata-rata 65,33 dengan ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 60%, sedangkan pada siklus II mencapai rata-rata 75,00 dengan ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 80%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media kartu domino dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci : Media Kartu Domino, Mengenal Simbol Dan Makna, Hasil Belajar Abstract This research is motivated by problems that occur, namely the media used by the teacher is very limited and the teacher only lectures in delivering the material. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research. The results of the study include the activities of teachers in the first cycle reached a percentage of 84.38%, while in the second cycle reached a percentage of 89.06%, the activity of students in the first cycle reached a percentage of 84.21%, while the second cycle reached the percentage of 88.16%, the results learning in cycle I reached an average of 65.33 with student learning completeness reaching 60%, while in cycle II it reached an average of 75.00 with student learning completeness reaching 80%. Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (PTK) is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in science subjects, especially this is due to boring teaching methods. This Classroom Action Research (PTK) aims to improve student learning outcomes in Science Class VA SD Negeri 2 Banda Aceh through the application of the Think Pair Share Learning Method. The benefits of this Classroom Action Research (PTK) are that it can improve teacher teaching skills, can improve the quality of teacher teaching, can improve understanding of material for students, can improve and can improve student learning outcomes. Classroom Action Research (PTK) which consists of 2 cycles. The data in this study were obtained from teachers of student test results. Based on the research data from cycle I to cycle II, it is obtained that the level of student learning outcomes has increased significantly. So, the conclusion is that the application of the Think Pair Share Learning Method can improve student learning outcomes in science learning class IV A SD Negeri 2 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

Hama ulat grayak (Spodoftera frugiperda J.E Smith) merupakan hama penting pada tanaman jagung, penanaman varietas tahan merupakan salah satu cara untuk pengendalian serangan hama tanaman. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mendapatkan galur tetua jagung manis MS-Unsika mutan generasi M7 yang memiliki ketahanan terhadap serangan hama ulat grayak. Metode menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal. Perlakuan terdiri dari 10 genotipe yaitu SR 1 (Galur SR Latan), M6 (SR Latan di iradiasi sinar gamma dosis 200 gy) M8 (SR Sweet di iradiasi sinar gamma dosis 200 gy) M9 (SR Bonanza di iradiasi sinar gamma dosis 200 gy) M10 (SR Jambo di iradiasi sinar gamma dosis 200 gy) G11 (Varietas Talenta), G12 (Varietas Bonanza), G13 (Varietas Maestro), G14 (Varietas Golden Boy), G15 (Varietas Exotic) dan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Data di analisis menggunakan Anova, apabila terdapat pengaruh nyata, maka data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Duncan’s Multiple Range Tes (DMRT) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan galur perlakuan M8 memiliki tingkat serangan hama ulat grayak terrendah yaitu sebesar 9.40% dengan populasi berkisar 0-6 ekor, pada varietas pembanding perlakuan G12 memiliki tingkat serangan terrendah yaitu sebesar 3.74% populasi berkisar 0-7 ekor.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the perseverance and ability of middle adult women aged 40-60 years in overcoming difficulties, challenges and obstacles in achieving success in memorizing al-Qur’an, without easily giving up. This is called adversity quotient. The subjects in this study were six people. This study aims to determine the type of adversity quotient of memorizing al-Qur’an, the factors that influence it and how to improve it. This study uses a qualitative descriptive phenomenology approach, with data collection methods of interviews, non-participant observation and documents. The results showed ER and NH is a type of climbers or runners or winners. Both of them are patient, optimistic, unyielding and big-spirited. Memorize according to the provisions and independently. Discipline in doing repeatation in reading 10-20 times until memorized. The ER subject had memorized 16 juz and NH has 5 juz of memorization. The other four people are walkers or campers. The four subjects are RD, MS and RS have memorized 2 juz of memorization, and SH has memorized 1 juz. The supporting factors for adversity quotient are high motivation, competitiveness, productivity, the ability to take risks, make improvements, persistence and willingness to learn. To increase adversity quotient is by listening to responses to the difficulties faced, tracing the causes of problems, analyzing evidence of the causes of difficulties and doing because they already have adversity quotient.

Abstract

This study aims at exploring the EFL students’ perceptions towards the use of YouTube video media in learning English pronunciation whether positive or negative. This study employs a mixed-methods approach using questionnaire and observation sheet to 28 students from one of junior high schools in Aceh Besar, Aceh. Therefore, based on the results of the questionnaire, it can be stated that the majority of students responded very positively to the use of YouTube-based video media. Based on the results of observation, it indicated that the majority of students showed a very good assessment in terms the students’ interest, the atmosphere of learning in class, as well as the activeness and involvement of the students through the use of YouTube video media. This is indicated by the high percentage of all statements on the aspects of students' interest in the use of the media in learning pronunciation. Thus, there is a positive significant result shown by the EFL students towards the use of YouTube video media in learning English pronunciation

Abstract

This research is intended to find out the learning strategies that Respondents used to get higher TOEFL scores. TOEFL is test of English as foreign language, or a standardize in measuring the abilities in English skills (Listening, Structure and Reading). This research used samples method by using qualitative approach. In this study, the writer found the respondents who got higher TOEFL scores. Then, the writer asked each of the respondent about the strategy that made their scores higher in TOEFL test. This research used both interview and questionnaire instruments. The interview was 10 questions about the TOEFL learning strategies, and the respondents answered relate to their strategy used in learning TOEFL. In addition, the writer made a questionnaire instrument in the research aimed to find out the TOEFL learning strategies scales that respondents usually applied in learning TOEFL. Moreover, The interview and the questionnaire showed that the strategies that respondents used in learning TOEFL was a proper methods to apply in learning TOEFL. In this research, the dominant strategy relate to the theory respondents used, were the audiotory and visual methods, the respondents used those because the TOEFL is the language testing, so visual and audiotory were very influential in learning learning TOEFL. In conclusion, the research illustrated that learning TOEFL has each strategy depends on the respondent, and the strategy that respondents used have been increased their TOEFL scores in official test.

Abstract

The present research investigated the grammar learning strategies (GLS) used by Malaysian ESL undergraduate students. It also examined the mean differences in the GLS used based on students’ proficiency levels. Quantitative research using a survey design was conducted in gathering the data. A set of questionnaires was randomly distributed via google forms to Indonesian EFl undergraduate students who enrolled in a grammar course. 80 students responded to the questionnaire; thus, they became the participants of the research. Both descriptive and inferential analyses were used to interpret the data. The findings indicated that taking notes while listening to their teacher’s explanations, finding out the reasons for their mistakes, encouraging themselves to practice grammar and asking friends for help were the most common strategies used in cognitive, metacognitive, affective, and social strategies respectively. Social strategies were found to be the most common strategies used by the students. Finally, the research also revealed that high proficient students used all strategies more than low proficient students. The findings of the research can be useful for teachers as they can vary their teaching approaches to match the students’ grammar learning strategies. In addition, less proficient students can also learn the strategies used by the more proficient students so they can also benefit from using the strategies in learning grammar

Abstract

This study aims to identify the difficulties of English teachers at SMAN 2 Banda Aceh encounter, the causes that contribute to those difficulties, and the strategies the teachers employ to overcome those difficulties. A qualitativedescriptive methodology was employed in this investigation. Researchers employed observation sheets and interviews to gather data for this investigation. The researchers discovered various difficulties for English teachers at SMAN 2 Banda Aceh based on the data collection results. Managing pupils presents several difficulties. The obstacles include students' lack of enthusiasm for learning English, ignorance of the fundamentals of English classes, using one's native tongue while learning English, and students' lack of self-confidence

Abstract

With the expanding realm of online education in Indonesia, determining factors influencing university students' participation in distinct modes of virtual learning is crucial to developing more effective digital pedagogy. This research aims to scrutinize factors affecting Indonesian EFL (English as a Foreign Language) university students' low participation in synchronous and asynchronous online learning classes. This research was framed quantitatively by employing a five-rating Likert-scale survey. This survey aimed to illuminate the underlying factors that shape students' behaviors or perceptions within these online learning modes. The findings showed that factors affecting the Indonesian tertiary EFL students' low participation in synchronous virtual learning mode include technical problems, learning anxiety, social isolation, socioeconomic status, and pet and human interferences. Meanwhile, heavy workloads, tedious content, and deprivation of human contact were associated with the factors affecting the EFL students' low participation in asynchronous learning modes.
