Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of improving the learning outcomes of class VII G students at SMP Negeri 9 Palu in the Mathematics subject, Addition and Subtraction of Whole Numbers, through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model with the Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) approach. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK), the subjects of this research are students in class VII G of SMP Negeri 9 Palu, consisting of 33 students. The data collection instrument used in this research was a multiple choice test which was carried out at the end of the meeting. The data analysis used is quantitative descriptive. As a result of the first cycle of research, students obtained an average science learning outcome score of 57.27 and a student completeness level of 84.85%. This has increased from the previous pre-cycle results. Furthermore, in cycle II the average value of students' Mathematics learning outcomes increased to 61.30 with a student completeness level of 81.82%. It can be concluded that improving the learning outcomes of class VII G students using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model with the TaRL approach can improve students' Mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII F students at SMP Negeri 9 Palu through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in the mathematics subject of numbers. This research is class action research (Class Action Research) which consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of action planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. The research subjects were students of class VII F at SMP Negeri 9 Palu. Data sources come from teachers and students obtained through observation, interviews, tests and document review. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of the research show that: (1) The teacher's ability to carry out learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method to improve student learning outcomes in mathematics learning at SMP Negeri 9 Palu in cycle I had an average of 78% (sufficient), while in cycle II to 90% (very good), this shows an increase of 12%. (2) There was an increase in student learning outcomes in mathematics learning in Whole Numbers material using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method in class VII-F of SMP Negeri 9 Palu, where student learning outcomes in cycle I had an average score of 69.70% with the percentage of completeness was 54.54%, while in the cycle II test results the average score was 71.81% with a percentage of completeness of 75.75%. This shows an increase in student learning outcomes by 2.11%.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the TGT type cooperative learning model assisted by Quizizz. This research was carried out as many as II cycles, by following the predetermined stages. This research method leads to the steps of classroom action research (PTK) with a qualitative approach. The results showed that from cycle I to cycle II showed an increase in student learning completeness in learning addition & subtraction operations for numbers using the TGT type cooperative learning model assisted by Quizizz, namely in cycle I by 40% and in cycle II by 78%. Given the determination of the success indicator has been achieved in cycle II with an average student score of 78%, learning mathematics using the TGT type cooperative learning model assisted by quizizz can be declared successful. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model assisted by the quizizz application can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. Abstract

This study aims to describe the literacy and numeracy abilities of class VIII students at SMPN 02 Darmpelas in terms of low, medium and high mathematics anxiety. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method with instruments in the form of mathematics anxiety questionnaires, tests and interviews. The results showed that subjects who had low math anxiety were able to meet 3 numeracy literacy indicators, subjects who had moderate math anxiety were able to meet 2 of the 3 numeracy literacy indicators, and subjects who had high math anxiety were only able to meet 1 of the 3 numeracy literacy indicators. In conclusion, for the category of students with moderate mathematics anxiety, attention needs to be paid to writing down known and asked data in detail and clearly, while for students with high mathematics anxiety, students need intensive guidance from the teacher to understand the methods used in planning problem solving and also in drawing conclusions to obtain correct and appropriate answers. Abstract

This research aims to obtain students' mathematical reasoning abilities in solving sequence and arithmetic series word problems in terms of learning style. The method used is providing learning styles, written tests, interviews. The results of this research show that of the three visual, auditory and kinesthetic subjects the ones with the best mathematical reasoning abilities are the visual and kinesthetic learning style subjects. In conclusion, the mathematical reasoning ability of visual subjects is able to fulfill four indicators, namely representing ideas, determining solution strategies, implementing solution strategies, realizing solutions and interesting conclusions. The auditory subject's mathematical reasoning ability is able to fulfill four indicators, namely representing ideas, determining a solution strategy, implementing a solution strategy, solving a solution and drawing conclusions, but in the process there are errors so that the results obtained are less precise. Meanwhile, the mathematical reasoning ability of kinesthetic subjects is able to fulfill 3 indicators, namely representing ideas, determining completion strategies and implementing completion strategies. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang penerapan model pem­belajaran Quantum Teaching yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi perbandingan di Kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Palu. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yakni perencanaan, tindakan dan observasi, serta refleksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Palu yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dengan jumlah 32 siswa dan dipilih empat siswa sebagai informan. Kriteria keberhasilan tindakan pada penelitian ini yaitu: (1) setiap aspek pada lembar observasi aktivitas peneliti minimal berkategori baik,(2) setiap aspek pada lembar observasi aktivitas siswa minimal berkategori baik, (3) lebih dari 24 siswa minimal berkategori baik untuk setiap aspek sikap pada lembar penilaian sikap,(4) siswa dapat menyelesaikan soal perbandingan untuk siklus I, dan (5) siswa dapat menyelesai-kan soal perbandingan senilai dan perbandingan berbalik nilai untuk siklus II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Quantum Teaching, hasil belajar siswa meningkat, dengan mengikuti fase-fase model pembelajaran Quantum Teaching sebagai berikut: (1) tumbuhkan, (2) alami, (3) namai, (4) demonstrasikan, (5) ulangi, dan (6) rayakan. Pada langkah 1 peneliti memberikan motivasi belajar melalui bahan tayang; pada langkah 2 siswa mengerjakan LKS terstruktur bersama kelompoknya untuk menemukan konsep perbandingan; pada langkah 3 peneliti mengarahkan pengetahuan siswa tentang konsep perbandingan melalui diskusi kelas; pada langkah 4 peneliti memberikan latihan soal dilanjutkan dengan presentasi kelas; pada langkah 5 siswa menyampaikan kembali konsep yang telah diperolehnya saat pembelajaran; dan pada langkah 6 peneliti memberikan penghargaan kelompok. Kata kunci: Quantum Teaching, hasil belajar, perbandingan Abstract: This research aims to describe about applying Quantum Teaching to increase learning outcomes of students in Class VII SMP Negeri 9 Palu in comparison material. This research is a classroom action research which refers to Kemmis and Mc.Taggart research design that including is planning, doing and observation, and reflection. This research was conducted in two cycles. Subject of research is students of Class VII SMP Negeri 9 Palu enrolled in the academic year 2014/2015 the number of 32 students and four students selected as informants. Criteria for the success of the actions in this research are: (1) every aspect of the researcher activity observation sheet minimal on good category, (2) every aspect of the student activity observation sheet minimal on good category, (3) more than 24 students are minimal in good category for every aspect of attitude on the attitude assessment sheet, (4) students can solve problems comparisons for the first cycle, and (5) students can solve problems worth ratio and turns ratio value for the second cycle. The result of this research indicates that applying Quantum Teaching which can increase student’s learning outcomes according to phase of Quantum Teaching, they are: (1) grow Up, (2) experience, (3) named, (4) demonstration, (5) review, and (6) celebrate. At the 1st step researcher provide learning motivation by aired material, at the 2nd step students do structured students worksheet to find comparison concept in their group discussion, at the 3rd step researcher aim student’s knowledge in class discussion, at the4th step researcher give exercises and followed class presentation, at the 5th step students reconvey comparison concept that has been studied, and at the 6th step researcher give the group rewards. Abstract

Negeri 1 Balinggi dalam belajar segitiga dan segiempat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak lima orang berdasarkan tahap berpikir van Hiele yang terdiri dari 1 siswa berkemampuan pada tahap 2 (deduksi informal), 2 siswa yang berkemampuan pada tahap 1 (analisis), dan 2 siswa yang berkemampuan pada tahap 0 (visualisasi). Instrument penelitian ini menggunakan tes dan wawancara yang digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan tahap berpikir setiap siswa. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) pada tahap 0 (visualisasi) subjek telah mampu menggambar bangun datar, mengidentifikasi bangun datar dan memberikan nama bangun datar serta dapat mengetahui bagian-bagian bangun datar (2) pada tahap 1 (analisis) subjek telah mampu menggambar bangun datar, memberikan nama bangun datar, mengidentifikasi bangun datar, mengetahui bagian-bagian dari bangun datar dan memahami sifat-sifat bangun datar, (3) pada tahap 2 subjek telah mampu menggambar bangun datar, memberikan nama bangun datar, mengidentifikasi bangun datar, mengetahui bagian-bagian bangun datar, memahami sifat-sifat bangun datar, dan memahami keterhubungan antara beberapa bangun datar. Kata kunci : segitiga dan segiempat, tahap berpikir van Hiele Abstract: This study aims to describe the profile of the stage thinking van Hiele students of SMP Negeri 1 Balinggi in learning the triangle and rectangular. The research is a qualitative research. The subjects used in this study as many as five people is based on the stage thinking van Hiele consisting of 1 students ability in stage 2 (deduction informal), 2 students ability in stage 1 (analysis), and two students ability in stage 0 (visualization). Instrument research using tests and interviews were used to describe the thinking stage every student. Results of this study were (1) at stage 0 (visualizing) the subject has been able to draw a flat wake, identify wake flat and give the name of waking up flat and can know the parts get up flat (2) in phase 1 (analysis) the subject has been able to draw wake flat, giving the name of waking flat, identify wake flat, knowing the parts of the flat wake and understand the properties of flat wake, (3) in stage 2 subjects have been able to draw a flat wake, giving the name of waking flat, identify wake flat, knowing part -part flat wake, wake up to understand the properties of the flat, and understand the interrelationship between several flat wake. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi tentang penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing dengan media bantu software GeoGebra untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi persamaan lingkaran di kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Dampelas. Ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yakni perencanaan, tindakan dan observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing dengan media bantu software GeoGebra dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi persamaan lingkaran, mengikuti fase-fase: 1) fase pendahuluan, 2) fase terbuka, 3) fase konvergen dan 4) fase penerapan dan penutup. Kata Kunci: Penemuan terbimbing, hasil belajar, persamaan lingkaran. Abstract: The Objective of this research was to obtain the description of applying the guided discovery learning method with media assist GeoGebra software for increase learning result on items of equation of circle on class XI IPA 2 SMP Negeri 1 Dampelas. This was a classroom action research, as the research design refers to the design of the research Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, that is planning, action, observation, and reflection. This research does ini two cyclic. The research results showed that applying the guided discovery learning method with media assist GeoGebra software in effort to increase learning result on items of equation of circle, following these phases, namely: (1) preliminary phase, (2) opening phase, (3) convergent phase, (4) application and finality phase. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis kesalahan siswa kelas VII dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pada materi luas dan keliling bangun datar khususnya bangun datar segiempat dan segitiga. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 siswa yang diambil dari 24 siswa kelas VII SMP Al-Azhar Mandiri Palu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kesalahan-kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa yaitu kesalahan konseptual dan kesalahan procedural. kesalahan konseptual yang dilakukan siswa meliputi (1) kesalahan konsep yaitu siswa salah dalam menggunakan rumus luas dan keliling serta salah dalam memahami soal cerita, (2) kesalahan fakta yaitu salah atau tidak menuliskan satuan luas dan keliling dalam penyelesaian, serta, (3) kesalahan prinsip yaitu tidak dapat mengubah soal cerita ke dalam model matematika. Sedangkan kesalahan prosedural yang dilakukan siswa berupa (1) kesalahan dalam menyusun langkah-langkah penyelesaian, (2) prosedur tidak lengkap dan (3) kesalahan strategi. Kata Kunci: Analisis kesalahan, konseptual dan prosedural, luas dan keliling bangun datar. Abstract: This study aimed to describe the types of errors made by class VII students in solving the story question in on area and perimeter of two-dimentional figure material.The type of the research was a qualitative research.The subjects were 3 students drawn from 24 students of class VII SMP Al-Azhar Mandiri Palu.The results indicated that the errors made by students were conceptual errors and procedural errors. Conceptual errors that the students made include (1) a misconception that students were incorrect in using the formula of the area and perimeter as well as incorrect in understanding the story question, (2) errors of fact that incorrect or did not write area and perimeter units in the problem solution, and, (3) error principles that could not change the story question into mathematical models. While the procedural errors committed by the students were (1) an error in strategy that incorrect in manipulating the problem solution steps, (2) the procedure was not complete and (3) error strategy. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional untuk melihat hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Palu. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Palu yang terdiri dari 12 kelas. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling (randomisasi kelompok). Diperoleh tiga kelas sampel penelitian yaitu kelas VII C, VII F, dan VII H. Jumlah siswa yang menjadi sampel adalah sebanyak 73 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan dua intrumen yaitu, data kecerdasan emosional dengan kuisioner kecerdasan emosional dan data hasil belajar diperoleh dari nilai raport. Hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai korelasi . Nilai untuk dengan taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh . Nilai maka diputuskan menerima hipotesis awal (H0) dan menolak hipotesis alternativ (H1). Artinya, tidak terdapat hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Palu. Kata kunci: Kecerdasan Emosional, Hasil Belajar Abstract: This was a correlational quantitative research to see the relation between emotional inteligence with mathematics achievement of student Class VII SMP Negeri 2 Palu. The population of these research was all students of Class VII SMP Negeri 2 Palu which was consisted of 12 class. Sample was determined by using cluster random sampling technique then obtained three sample classes which were Class VII C, VII F and VII H. The total number of students that were became sample was 73. Data was collected by using two instruments that are emotional inteligence questionnaire for emotional inteligence data and students’ report card for mathematics achievement data. The result of data analysis showed the correlation number r = −0,05. The for N=73 with significant number of 5% obtained rtabel = 0,235. Value of rhitung (-0,05) rtabel (0,235). Thus, it was concluded to receive hypothesis (H0) and reject the alternative hypothesis (H1). This means that there’s no relation between emotional inteligence with mathematics achievement of student Class VII SMP Negeri 2 Palu. Keywords: Emotional Inteligence, achievement.
