Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan konsep etnomatematika yang terdapat di Alwatzikhoebillah keraton Sambas untuk dijadikan sebagai sumber pembelajaran matematika dalam bentuk Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKPD). Penelitian ini berawal dari kurangnya kesadaran generasi penerus untuk menjaga bangunan cagar budaya. Tidak hanya itu, pembelajaran matematika di sekolah juga kurang mendukung dalam mengintegrasikan pembelajaran matematika berbasis budaya lokal. Fenomena yang terjadi selama ini, siswa cenderung kurang memahami pembelajaran matematika karena tidak adanya hubungan antara matematika dengan budaya dimana mereka tinggal, padahal matematika dan budaya merupakan dua unsur yang tidak dapat dipisahkan. Etnomatematika merupakan ilmu yang memadukan konsep dalam matematika dengan budaya yang ada di masyarakat, salah satu budaya yang dapat dipelajari adalah kraton Alwatzikhoebillah. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, jenis penelitian kualitatif, dan menggunakan pendekatan etnografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di keraton Alwatzikhoebillah terdapat konsep etnomatematika yaitu menghitung, mengukur, menentukan lokasi, merancang, dan menjelaskan. Konsep etnomatematika ini diintegrasikan ke dalam sumber belajar berupa pembuatan LKS berbasis budaya dengan menggunakan konsep matematika segitiga dan segiempat di kelas VII.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe mathematical communication skills, mathematical resilience, and the relationship between mathematical communication skills and mathematical resilience. This research used a quantitative approach with a correlation research design. The population in this study were students of grade XI SMA Negeri 2 Teluk Keramat and the sample was students of grade XI MIPA 2.The results showed that the mathematical communication skills students tend to have is the ability to express mathematical concepts by stating daily events in language or mathematical symbols (mathematical expression ability) which were able to be achieved by the students as much as 62%. Whereas for mathematical resilience that students tend to have is to have curiosity, reflect, research, and make use of various sources in mathematics learning, which contributed 38.7% and were able to be achieved by 16 students (76%). Furthermore, based on the results of the Pearson Product Moment correlation test, a significance value of 0.021 and a correlation value of 0.500 was obtained. So it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between mathematical communication skills, mathematical resilience, and the strength of the correlation between the two variables is classified as moderate. Keywords: Correlation, Mathematical Communication Skills, Mathematical Resilience

Abstract

Based on the results of the study, in general there are still many students who experience errors in solving problems on the material of a two-variable system of linear equations. The errors experienced by students based on student error indicators are as follows. wrong in choosing a formula or method to solve the problem, wrongly determining the unit of the object in the problem, wrongly writing what to askand know about the difficulty, wrong in using the rules that exist in the elimination and substitution method, wrong perception in interpreting the meaning of the problem. questions, as well as misperceptions between methods of elimination and substitution. While the overall factors causing the error include the following. Factors that come from within students, namely the lack of mastery of the material and lack of interest in mathematics. Factors that come from outside the students are the way the teacher gives lessons.

Abstract

The research purpose is to analyze the misconceptions by using the certainty of response index modified in trigonometric equations at class XI State Senior High School 9 Pontianak. that Research method used in this research was a case study. The subjects in this research were seven students of class XI IPA 1 and IPA 2 of State Senior High School 9 Pontianak. The instruments used in this research were diagnostic tests and interview guidelines. From the result of the study, obtained 8 out of 32 students had computation misconceptions, 9 out of 32 students had generalized misconceptions, 1 out of 32 students had specialization misconceptions, and 1 out of 32 students had theoretical misconceptions. Misconceptions experienced are caused by students are students' associative thinking, incomplete reasoning, wrong intuition, stages of student cognitive development, and student abilities. Generalizing misconceptions are the most common misconceptions experienced by students, the cause of this misconception is wrong intuition and the stage of students' cognitive development.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to describe the state of student satisfaction in online learning during covid 19 in terms of tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy dimensions and to examine the effect of satisfaction and cognitive style on student learning outcomes in participating in online learning during covid 19. The form of the research used mixed methods with commensurate status, namely using a qualitative descriptive approach and quantitative analysis. The research was conducted at FKIP Untan Pontianak, Mathematics Education Study Program. As the main independent variable is cognitive style and the second independent variable is learning satisfaction. The dependent variable is learning outcomes. The research sample is students who take the mathematics learning process assessment course for the 2021/2022 academic year. This study uses 3 instruments, namely the cognitive style scale, learning satisfaction questionnaire and learning outcomes test. Hypothesis testing is a two-way ANOVA test. The results showed (a) students who had a free cognitive style were as much as 43.47% and students who had a dependent cognitive style were 56.52%. (b) Satisfaction aspects, Tangibles, Reliability, Responsivenes, Assurance and Empathy are classified as high. Research conclusions: (1) The average percentage of very satisfactory and satisfactory satisfaction levels is greater than the average percentage of unsatisfactory and unsatisfactory levels of satisfaction for all dimensions of tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. (2) a. The learning outcomes of students who have a free cognitive style are higher than the learning outcomes of students who have a dependent cognitive style, (b) Cognitive style factors and satisfaction factors do not affect jointly on student learning outcomes, (c) Students who have a level of learning satisfaction high, learning outcomes with independent cognitive styles are higher than student learning outcomes with dependent cognitive styles, (d) students with low levels of learning satisfaction, learning outcomes with independent cognitive styles are higher than student learning outcomes with dependent cognitive styles.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah melakukan bimbingan teknis instrument penilaian pendukung perkuliahan berbasis masalah dan proyek untuk meningkatkan pemahaman, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan dosen-dosen di Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Kalimantan Barat. Pengabdian ini berawal dari dari kesepakatan antara kerjasama antara dua Universitas dengan bersepakat mengambil satu sasaran yang perlu dibahas dan disajikan dalam instrument penilaian saat ini adalah instrument yang berbasis masalah atau proyek yang tersusun dengan format yang sama dalam satu perguruan tinggi. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan pengabdian ditempuh melalui pendekatan bimbingan teknis yaitu bimbingan yang diberikan oleh tenaga ahli atau professional dibidangnya dengan tujuan: 1) meningkatkan kualitas sember daya manusia; 2) memperbaiki koordinasi kerja; 3) mengoptimalkan kompetensi dosen; dan 4) peningkatan kinerja insitusi. Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan langkah-langkah: 1) identifikasi masalah pembelajaran terkhusus kebutuan evaluasi pembelajaran; 2) menyesuaikan evaluasi pembelajaran dengan capaian pembelajaran; 3) menetapkan perangkat asesmen berdasarkan soal-soal bertipe hots; 4) membuat instrument pembelajaran dalam satu format yang sama dengan melakukan bimbingan teknis penyusunan. Dari hasil pengabdian diperoleh sebagai berikut: 1) pelaksanaan pengabdian dosen-dosen di universitas nadhlatul ulama yang bertujuan melakukan bimbingan teknis penyusunan instrument penilaian pendukung perkuliahan berbasis masalah dan proyek; 2) membuat format penilaian yang serempak dan disepakati dan kemudian menjadi dasar bimbingan teknis penyusunan; 3) terdapat produk instrument penilaian berdasarkan format penilaian yang tersusun dan mata kuliah yang diampu. Kata kunci: instrumen penilaian; bimbingan teknis; berbasis masalah dan proyek ABSTRACTThe purpose of this community service activity is to carry out technical guidance on problem-based and project-based lecture supporting assessment instruments to improve the understanding, knowledge, and skills of lecturers at Nahdlatul Ulama University, West Kalimantan. This dedication stems from an agreement between the collaboration between the two universities by agreeing to take one target that needs to be discussed and presented in the current assessment instrument, which is a problem- or project-based instrument that is structured in the same format in one college. The method used to achieve the goal of dedication is taken through a technical guidance approach, namely guidance provided by experts or professionals in their field with the objectives of: 1) improving the quality of human resources; 2) improve work coordination; 3) optimizing the competence of lecturers; and 4) increasing institutional performance. The stages of implementing activities use the steps: 1) identification of learning problems, especially the needs of learning evaluation; 2) adapting learning evaluations to learning outcomes; 3) determine the assessment tools based on hot questions; 4) make learning instruments in the same format by carrying out technical guidance on preparation. From the results of the dedication, the following were obtained: 1) the implementation of the dedication of lecturers at Nadhlatul Ulama University which aims to provide technical guidance for the preparation of problem-based and project-based lecture support assessment instruments; 2) create an assessment format that is unanimous and agreed upon and then becomes the basis for technical guidance for preparation; 3) there is an assessment instrument product based on the structured assessment format and the subjects taught. Keywords: assessment tools; technical guidance; problem-based and projects

Abstract

Salah satu yang dapat mempengaruhi terbangunnya keterampilan berfikir kreatif adalah scientific attitudes seseorang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (a) Mendeskripsikan profil scientific attitudes mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan matematika, (b) Mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan matematika, (c) Menguji keterkaitan antara scientific attitudes dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa. Aspek kelancaran, aspek keaslian dan aspek kerincian termasuk kategori tinggi. Sedangkan aspek keluwesan termasuk pada kategori sedang. Bentuk penelitian menggunakan mixed methods dengan status sepadan yaitu menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sedangkan sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang tidak mengulang pada mata kuliah penilaian proses dan hasil pembelajaran matematika tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik klaster random sampling. Pengujian hipotesis penelitian dengan menggunakan analisis korelasi Kendall Tau. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat keterkaitan yang erat antara scientific attitudes dengan kemampuan berfikir kreatif mahasiswa pada perkuliahan penilaian proses dan hasil belajar matematika. One that can affect the development of creative thinking skills is a person's scientific attitude. The aims of this study were (a) to describe the scientific attitude profile of students in the Mathematics Education Study Program, (b) to describe the creative thinking skills of students in the Mathematics Education Study Program, (c) to test the relationship between scientific attitudes and students' creative thinking skills. Aspects of fluency, aspects of creativity, and aspects of fact are included in the high category. In comparison, the aspect of flexibility is included in the medium category. This form of research uses mixed methods with commensurate status, namely using a qualitative descriptive approach and a quantitative approach. Meanwhile, the research sample was students who did not repeat the mathematics learning process and results in the 2022/2023 school year assessment course. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique. Testing the research hypothesis using Kendall Tau correlation analysis. The results of hypothesis testing show a close relationship between scientific attitudes and students' creative thinking abilities in the process assessment lectures and mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe students’ mathematics anxiety levels on the quadratic function in tenth grade in Al-Amien orphanage, Pontianak. This research method used was descriptive in the form of a survey. The number of subjects in this research was six students of tenth grade at orphanage. Based on the questionnaire on anxiety level, it was found there are two levels of anxiety experienced by the students, namely moderate mathematics anxiety, and severe mathematics anxiety. Three students experience each a level of anxiety. In addition to administering questionnaires, students were given mathematics tests and interview questions. From the result of data processing carried out, three students have moderate levels of anxiety and three students who have severe anxiety levels. Keywords: Mathematics Anxiety, Quadratic Functions, Descriptive

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan kesulitan dan faktor penyebabnya yang dihadapi siswa ketika menyelesaikan soal pemahaman konsep matematis pada materi persamaan kuadrat. Metode penelitian digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitannya yaitu empat siswa SMP Negeri 1 Jagoi Babang Kelas IXA dengan nilai yang sangat rendah. Pemilihan subjek penelitian dari kategori sangat rendah dilakukan berdasarkan nilai tes siswa yang paling rendah serta hasil jawaban siswa yang memiliki banyak kesalahan. Tes tertulis dengan bentuk uraian dan pedoman wawancara semi terstruktur merupakan alat pengumpul data. Dalam temuan analisis data, didapat kesulitan dan penyebabnya yang dialami oleh siswa. Adapun kesulitan yang dialami oleh siswa yaitu kesulitan dalam mengingat konsep, kesulitan dalam memahami tujuan dari pertanyaan hingga soal dianggap susah untuk dikerjakan, kesulitan dalam menggunakan operasi perhitungan dalam menentukan akar persamaan kuadrat, kesulitan dalam menentukan mana yang merupakan dan bukan merupakan persamaan kuadrat satu variabel, kesulitan dalam mengingat rumus kuadratik, dan kesulitan dalam melakukan prosedur atau langkah-langkah perhitungan dalam menentukan akar persamaan kuadrat. Faktor penyebab siswa mengalami kesulitan diantaranya adalah kurangnya pemahaman siswa dalam menguasai konsep persamaan kuadrat, kurangnya pemahaman siswa dalam menguasai konsep operasi perhitungan dalam menentukan akar persamaan kuadrat, kurang memahami prosedur atau langkah-langkah penyelesaian dalam menentukan akar persamaan kuadrat, dan kurang fokus dalam mengerjakan soal sehingga siswa merasa terburu-buru.

Abstract

This study's objective is to ascertain whether A connection exists between students' math learning results on the subject include linear equations with three elements and their level of self-efficacy. The study used a sample of 20 students, which was carried out in September 2022. Correlation approaches were employed in a survey as the study methodology. Data were gathered using student math learning outcomes and self-efficacy instruments. The instrument's reliability and validity have been assessed., making it both valid and dependable. The answers of the self-efficacy questionnaire and the findings of the description were found to be regularly distributed using Lilliefors' prerequisite testing of normality. If the information is evenly distribute, a linearity and significance test is obtained that the results of the self-efficacy questionnaire and the descriptive question test are significant and linear. The correlation of the correlation moments obtained from rxy = 0.790 is used to test the hypothesis. It can be inferred from the findings of this investigation that the material of three-variable linear equation has a self-efficacy and the link between learning of mathematical results of a student.
