Abstract

This study aims to describe students' self-concept and reflective thinking skills. Quantitative descriptive is the research method used. Class XI students of SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak is the population used. The sample taken was class XI-C consisting of 32 students selected by purposive sampling. Self-concept questionnaires and tests of reflective thinking skills are the instruments used. Data were analyzed descriptively by using linearity, normality, and correlation tests. Based on the results of calculations using IBM SPSS statistics 25, it was obtained that the average self-concept and students' reflective thinking skills were 70.8% and 65.63% respectively, indicating that class XI-C students at SMA Negeri 8 Pontinak were included in the medium category. While the results of the Kendall's Tau correlation test obtained a significance level of 0.60 and a correlation coefficient of 0.246 and showed no relationship between self-concept and the ability to think reflectively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa yang dikarenakan belum terbiasanya siswa menyelesaikan soal-soal literasi numerasi dan soal-soal literasi numerasi masih belum banyak tersedia sehingga guru kesulitan untuk memberikan soal literasi numerasi kepada siswa. Oleh sebab itu, perlu untuk dikembangkan soal matematika yang mampu mengukur kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa. Metode yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini yaitu Research and Development dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) tanpa menjalankan tahap keempat dan kelima. Proses pengembangan dimulai dari tahap analisis, yang meliputi analisis kurikulum, kebutuhan, serta materi dan soal. Setelah itu, pada tahap desain dirancang prototipe produk, kemudian pada tahap pengembangan produk tersebut dikonsultasikan kepada tiga orang ahli sebagai validator. Selanjutnya dilaksanakan uji coba produk kepada siswa untuk mengetahui validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh soal mempunyai koefisien validitas lebih besar dari 0,6 yang berarti kategori seluruh soal yang dikembangkan tergolong valid. Soal-soal yang dikembangkan juga sangat reliabel karena mempunyai koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0,853. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa penelitian pengembangan ini menghasilkan lima butir soal berbasis AKM untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa materi statistika yang valid dan reliabel.

Abstract

This study is a descriptive study that discusses problem solving mathematics that has high, medium, and low self-concepts on algebraic material at MTs Darul Hidayah. The subjects in this study were seventh grade students of MTs Darul Hidayah who were in high, medium, and low self-concept classes. Data collection techniques are test techniques and direct communication techniques. Data collection tools used were questionnaires, problem questions, and interviews. Obtained from Students with high self-concept able to understand problems, able to plan problem solving, able to solve problems according to plan, and able to prove answers by re-examining the results that have been obtained; Students with moderate self-concept are able to understand problems, are able to plan problem solving, and are able to solve problems according to plan; Students with low self-concept are able to understand problems, able to plan problem solving, able to solve problems according to plan but with inappropriate final results.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the mathematical thinking process of students in terms of self confidence in the material of lines and angles. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. This research involved 20 students of class VII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya. The results of this study indicate that students with mathematical thinking processes with high self-confidence when solving line and angle problems are able to identify and translate information into mathematical form, students also apply the concept of lines and angles, can identify elements of the concept then develop it into a procedure, re-examine answers and plan problem solving. Students whose mathematical thinking process with moderate self-confidence when solving line and angle problems are able to identify and translate information into mathematical form, able to apply the concept of line and angle, can identify elements of the concept then developed into procedures, but students answer only until explaining and checking back and cannot plan problem solving. Students whose mathematical thinking process with low self-confidence are only able to identify and translate information into mathematical form and apply the concept of lines and angles, but cannot identify elements of the concept, cannot develop it into a procedure and also cannot explain and check back each step and cannot plan problem solving.

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative research was conducted to describe the problem-solving strategies of junior high school students on Pythagorean theorem material. The source of the research data was 23 students of class IX SMP Pontianak in the academic year 2022/2023. From this research, it is known that the variety of strategies in solving mathematics problems are trial and error, making illustrations of pictures or diagrams, trying simpler problems, making tables, finding patterns, working backward, considering several possibilities, and simplifying problems. The strategies that were widely used were trial and error (38.04%), making pictures or diagrams (17.39%), finding patterns (27.17%), and working backward (15.22%). Generally, subjects were able to understand the problem by finding the known and questionable information in the problem, only a few had difficulty formulating the problem. Similar cases were also identified when planning problem-solving strategies, most students were able to construct mathematical models and formulate problems, although there were also those who did not do this stage. In other variations, some students made illustrations of pictures or diagrams, found patterns, and worked backward. An important finding of this study is that subjects have a deep understanding of mathematical problems, and the ability to plan strategies and apply them appropriately affects students' success in solving problems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas butir soal Penilaian Tengah Semester Ganjil mata pelajaran matematika wajib kelas X Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial di Sekolah Menengah Atas Swasta Mujahidin Pontianak tahun ajaran 2023/2024 ditinjau dari daya pembeda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode dokumentasi. Soal yang diuji kan berbentuk pilihan ganda (multiple choice) berjumlah 34 butir soal. Data di analisis dengan pendekatan Teori Tes Klasik menggunakan bantuan salah satu aplikasi yaitu software Microsoft Excel. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dan pencocokan indeks daya pembeda menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 8 butir soal atau 23.53% memiliki kriteria daya pembeda jelek, 15 butir soal atau 44.12% memiliki daya pembeda cukup, 8 butir soal atau 23.53% memiliki daya pembeda baik, dan sisanya 3 butir soal atau 8.82% tergolong kategori tidak baik. Hasil dari analisis tersebut menunjukkan bahwa butir soal Penilaian Tengah Semester berbentuk pilihan ganda dengan materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan nilai mutlak mata pelajaran matematika wajib kelas X Sekolah Menengah Atas Swasta Mujahidin Pontianak berdasarkan Teori Tes Klasik ditinjau dari indeks daya pembeda menunjukkan hasil yang cukup baik.

Abstract

Keraton Ismahayana Landak is a Malay royal heritage palace located in Landak Regency. Ismahayana Landak Palace has architecture in the form of a typical West Kalimantan stilt house. This research originated from mathematics learning in schools that were less supportive in integrating local culture-based mathematics learning. In addition, some students still do not know the existence and history of Ismahayana Palace. The purpose of this study is to describe the concept of geometry and the philosophical meaning contained in the Ismahayana Palace of Landak. The research method used is descriptive method combined with ethnographic approach. Research data obtained from observation sheets, interview guidelines, and documentation. In this study, the object of research is Keraton Ismahayana Landak and the management of Keraton Ismahayana Landak and Malay figures as research subjects. The results showed that the Ismahayana Landak Palace has a geometry concept, namely flat and spatial shapes that contain philosophical meaning in it. The ethnomathematics activities contained in the Ismahayana Landak Palace are counting, locating, and explaining.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the distinguishing power of the multiple-choice form test items of class XI trigonometric equation material at SMA Mujahidin Pontianak. The object analyzed is 40 items of multiple-choice questions of trigonometric equation material. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. The data collection method is a documentation method and the data obtained in the form of secondary data is then analyzed using a classical test theory approach. The results of the analysis showed that as many as 7 questions or 20.59% had bad distinguishing power criteria, 16 questions or 47.06% had sufficient discriminating power, 10 questions or 29.41% had good discriminating power criteria, 1 question or 2.94% had bad discriminating power, and no questions or as many as 0% had very good discriminating power. From the overall data, it can be concluded that the test items have a differentiating power that meets the feasible criteria because most of the questions have sufficient criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the RMS learning model on trigonometry material. The method used is quantitative with a one-shot case study design. The subjects of this research are the tenth-grade students at SMAN 1 Silat Hulu. The research instruments consist of tests and non-tests. The non-test instruments include observation sheets and questionnaires, while the test instrument is in the form of essay questions. The effectiveness of the RMS learning model is evaluated based on three categories: learning outcomes, student responses through questionnaires, and student learning activities observed through observation sheets. The results of the study indicate that the RMS learning model is effective in teaching trigonometry, with student learning mastery reaching 100%, student activity showing more than 100% engagement, and student responses to this learning model being 100% positive. The research discussion highlights that the RMS learning model not only improves learning outcomes but also enhances student engagement and positive responses. The implementation of the RMS learning model is recommended for educators to apply to appropriate materials to improve the quality of learning and student involvement.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memanfaatkan teknologi sebagai penunjang KTI mahasiswa dan dosen pendidikan matematika di STKIP Melawi wilayah nanga pinoh. Karya tulis ilmiah yang ditunjang dengan pemanfaatan teknologi adalah laporan berupa yang dipublikasikan ataupun dipaparkan dari hasil pengkajian ataupun penelitian yang telah dilakukan, yang dalam penulisannya memperhatikan kaidah atau etika keilmuan yang berlaku dimasyarakat ke ilmuan yang berbasis pemanfaatan teknologi. Bentuk PKM ini adalah Workshop atau pelatihan tentang pemanfaatan teknologi untuk menunjang KTI Mahasiswa dan Dosen di STKIP Melawi Wilayah Nanga Pinoh. Targetnya akan diikuti oleh mahasiswa dan dosen pendidikan matematika STKIP Melawi. Metode pemanfaatan tekologi untuk menunjang KTI ini meliputi: 1) menyesuaikan dengan aturan penulisan yang berlaku, 2) ada bagian pembuka, pendahuluan, pembahasan, metodologi penelitian, hasil penelitian, penutup, dan bagian penunjang. Subjek penelitiannya adalah mahasiswa dan dosen program studi pendidikan matematika STKIP Melawi. Kegiatannya berupa workshop/pelatihan. Produknya berupa Karya Tulis Ilmiah ditunjang dari pemanfaatan teknologi. Rencana Kegiatan PKM ini adalah: 1) persiapan yakni penetapan tempat dan memperoleh ijin pelaksanaan, dan KTI yang ditunjang dari teknologi; 2) pelaksanaan yakni melaksanakan workshop, analisis hasil tes, dan pendampingan penyusunan KTI memanfaatkan teknologi, pelaksanaan workshop di kelas; 3) akhir yakni penyusunan KTI memanfaatkan teknologi. Luarannya adalah KTI. Hasil PKM ini adalah terlaksananya kegiatan Workshop KTI memanfaatkan Teknologi sesuai dengan langkah-langkah yang telah ditetapkan dan terjalinnya kuliah kunjungan dengan STKIP Melawi.
