Abstract

Women's Economic Empowerment is crucial in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals. One aspect of women's economic empowerment that has been widely studied is women's involvement in entrepreneurial activities. Women have great potential to develop businesses. However, they often face barriers such as a lack of management education, access to capital, building business networks, and the persistence of community understanding that causes gender discrimination that women are not obliged to earn a living. This assumption can be an obstacle to the growth of the nation's economy. One of the efforts to overcome this is to educate the community on the importance of women's economic empowerment through Entrepreneurship Education. The purpose of entrepreneurship education for women is to encourage the national economy and improve family welfare. Economically empowered women can play a positive role in meeting personal needs, family and social activities.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the dynamics of resistance and adoption of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Makassar City using a qualitative approach and the Nudge Theory framework. This study focuses on an in-depth understanding of the factors that encourage and hinder QRIS adoption, by exploring the perspectives of both user and non-user businesses. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 10 MSMEs in the culinary sector and analyzed using thematic analysis methods. The results show that the decision to adopt QRIS is influenced by factors such as ease of access (simplification), social influence (social norm), default option settings(default option), information visibility (salience), the way of conveying information (framing), and providing feedback (feedback). Conversely, resistance to QRIS is driven by limited digital literacy, a lack of understanding of the benefits, and concerns about the risks of digital transactions. This finding confirms the relevance of Nudge Theory in explaining MSME decision-making behavior. This research contributes to the development of behavior-based strategies to promote digital financial inclusion in the MSME sector. Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in fostering entrepreneurial characteristics among Vocational High School (SMK) students through entrepreneurship learning. The background of this study lies in the high unemployment rate among SMK graduates, indicating a gap between vocational education objectives and labor market demands. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation, then analyzed using Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña’s interactive model. The findings reveal that teachers play strategic roles in three main dimensions: motivators, facilitators, and role models. As motivators, teachers inspire entrepreneurial interest through motivational stories and direct encouragement. As facilitators, they provide experiential learning such as project-based learning and small business simulations. As role models, teachers with real business experience act as authentic examples for students. However, the study also identifies structural challenges, including limited practice facilities, low parental support, and weak collaboration with industry. The results highlight that entrepreneurship education should not only focus on cognitive knowledge but also emphasize attitudes, values, and entrepreneurial skills. Practically, this study recommends stronger collaboration between schools, government, parents, and industry to reinforce the entrepreneurship education ecosystem in vocational schools.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed education and entrepreneurship. However, many young school entrepreneurs still face limitations in financial literacy, technological understanding, and the use of data to support business decision-making. These conditions create challenges in equipping them with adaptive and innovative entrepreneurial competencies in the digital era. This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of young prospective entrepreneurs through financial literacy training and the utilization of artificial intelligence. The implementation method consisted of three main stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stage included initial observations, the development of training modules, and the design of evaluation instruments. The implementation stage involved financial literacy training and AI-based training, particularly in business simulation and data visualization. Evaluation was carried out using participant satisfaction surveys as well as pre-test and post-test assessments to measure improvements in knowledge and skills. The results indicated a significant increase in participants’ understanding of financial literacy, business budgeting, AI concepts, and data visualization skills. Participant satisfaction surveys revealed that most participants expressed satisfaction and high appreciation for the training materials and delivery methods. This program successfully addressed the identified problems and contributed to preparing inclusive, adaptive, and competitive young entrepreneurs in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

The rapid development of Makassar, particularly along the Arung Sanrego Street, has driven an increased demand for rental properties, particularly boarding houses, leading to intense competition among property owners. To succeed in this competition, an effective marketing strategy is required, one of which is digital marketing. This article aims to examine the application of digital marketing in the boarding house industry in Makassar, focusing on the utilization of digital platforms such as social media, websites, and property search applications. A training program was conducted for boarding house owners to enhance their understanding of digital marketing and the use of graphic design tools, such as Piktochart, to create attractive promotional materials. The results of the training showed a significant improvement in the participants' understanding of how to market their boarding houses effectively and efficiently, as well as expanding their market reach, even to other cities or provinces. Additionally, the training also had a positive impact on increasing the competitiveness of boarding house businesses, as owners were able to leverage data analytics to design more targeted marketing strategies. Overall, the implementation of digital marketing not only provides direct benefits to the boarding house owners but also contributes to the local economy through increased revenue and the creation of new jobs in the boarding house industry Keynote: Digitital Marketing, Piktochart,Kost
