Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has become a new stressor with significant pregnancy consequences, limiting access to health services. Mindfulness-Based Art Therapy (MBAT) has been proven to intervene in the body-mind-soul and improve mental health problems. However, no research has developed it into a form of artificial intelligence for use by pregnant women in supporting the current situation of access to health services.Purpose: This study aims to produce a system of MBAT based on artificial intelligence for early detection and to prove the effectiveness of improving mental health in pregnant women.Methods: This study employed Research & Development consisting of 4 stages, namely Literature Study, Development Stage, Validity Expert, and Trial.Results: The MBAT application has five features, from mental health information to history. The validity score of the application system is 87.33%. The trial results showed that the application effectively reduces stress levels by 91.26% and anxiety by 90.24%. Also, the application can predict the percentage reduction in stress and anxiety levels correctly and without errors using the decision tree.Conclusion: This application is helpful for pregnant women and health workers in detecting stress and anxiety levels early in pregnancy and improving mental health.

Abstract

Background: Swallow's nest has a glycol content of proteins, carbohydrates (25.62–27.26%), and proteins (62–63%); protein is an indispensable content for the healing process of perineal wounds, protein plays the main ingredient in cell formation, and repairs damaged tissues. In previous studies, swallow's nest extract against perineal wounds in mice obtained the results of accelerated healing on days 3 and 4. However, no studies have been conducted on human perineal injuries.Purpose: Knowing the effectiveness of the swallow's nest extract gel (Aerodramus Fuciphagus) 30% against wound healing and a decrease in the number of colonies of staphylococcus aureus bacteria in the perineal wounds of the postpartum mother.Methods: This experiment study has a post-test with a control group design. The sample comprised 34 postpartum maternal respondents divided into two groups randomly (intervention and control groups). The intervention group was given gel from swallow's nest extract while the control group carried out a dry clean treatment; both were treated to the wound. Perineal wound healing based on REEDA scores was analyzed using the Friedman test, while bacteria in perineal wounds were analyzed using the Man-Whitney test.Results: Based on the REEDA scale, the perineal wound healing rate in the intervention group was better, where healing had already occurred on day 5, compared to the control group that occurred on day 7 (p<0.0001). The number of bacteria in the perineal wounds of the intervention group was less, with an average of 0.06 CFU, compared to the control group's average control group's average of 1.11 CFU (p<0.05).Conclusion: Swallow's nest extract is influential and beneficial in healing perineal wounds in postpartum mothers and has antibacterial activity.

Abstract

Background: Labor pain feels tremendous, and only 2-4% of mothers low pain during labor. Heat therapy is a non-pharmacological method. The heat therapy is still conventional, and this study uses a relaxation belt with more stable, dry heat media, and comfortable.Objective: This study aims to develop and test a relaxation belt for efforts to reduce labor pain intensity and increase β-endorphin levels in the primigravida of the active labor phase.Method: This study Research and Development (R&D). It consisted of 5 stages; stage I (literature study), stage II (product development), stage III (expert validity and phase I trials), stage IV (product revision and final product), and stage V (phase II trials).Results: The relaxation belt has been created, it has been validity experts test and field trials. The result that the relaxation belt is more effective in reducing pain and increasing β-endorphin levels than warm water compress (mean different pain labor 2.40; p<0.01; effect size 1.72 and mean different increasing β-endorphin levels 53,34; p<0.01; effect size 2.42).Conclusion: The relaxation belt is effective in reducing labor pain intensity and increasing β-endorphin levels.

Abstract

Ovarian cancer is the biggest malignancy problem in female reproduction today. Dr. Hospital H. Abdul Moeloek as a referral center hospital in Lampung province has data that ovarian cancer is the most gynecological cancer with cases that have continued to increase over the past 3 years. The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors associated with the incidence of ovarian cancer in RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Lampung Province. This type of research is quantitative with a case-control design. The population was all patients treated in the gynecology room with 70 case samples taken using total sampling and 70 control samples using simple random sampling. The results showed that the factors related to the incidence of ovarian cancer in RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek included age (p-value = 0.001 and OR = 13.5 with 95% CI = 6.01-30.31), history of breastfeeding (p-value = 0.009 and OR = 2.684 with 95% CI = 1.326 -5.432), and a history of contraception (p-value = 0.001 and OR = 3.882 with 95% CI = 1.855-8.126). While the age of menarche and parity has no relationship with the incidence of ovarian cancer. From the research results expected, the high incidence of ovarian cancer in Lampung province can be socialized properly in society, so that people understand and can prevent ovarian cancer early.

Abstract

Background: In Asia, more than 54.7% of postpartum mothers experience sleep deprivation, ranging from 50.9%. Massage can increase the levels of endorphins in the body and stimulate the central nervous system (CNS). This study aimed to determine the effect of Pointer Finger Friction (PFF) Massage on β-Endorphin Levels and Sleep Quality in Postpartum Mothers in Semarang City.Method: This study was quasi-experimental with a pre-posttest control group design. The population consisted of postpartum mothers in the Semarang City Health Center area, and samples were obtained by simple random sampling. The number of samples were 36 postpartum mothers who were divided into 2 groups. The treatment in the intervention group with PFF was carried out five times, starting on the first postpartum day. Venous blood was collected before and after treatment to measure endorphin levels and sleep quality. Data analysis was performed using the Mann–Whitney U test.Result: The results of the study showed most of the respondents were 23 years old and had a high school education (82.9%). The average level of β-endorphins after the treatment group was 135 mg/ml higher than that of the control group (38 pg/ml), and the quality of sleep after the treatment group decreased by 3.5 compared to the control group, with a score of 0.9. There was a relationship between the levels of β-endorphins and sleep quality between the PFF and control groups. To increase the levels of β-endorphins and the quality of sleep of postpartum mothers, we can promote and educate people about the use of the PFF massage method.

Abstract

Background: Untreated pregnancy anxiety can have a significant impact on the pregnancy and postpartum outcomes. Causing mental disorders during pregnancy has an increased risk and adverse effects on the mother and fetus. Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) can increase awareness about the function of thought patterns in daily activities and is able to control awareness of thoughts, feelings and body gestures that can affect anxiety levels and cortisol hormones in the body. This study aimed to examine the effect MBCT to reduce anxiety in 3rd trimester of pregnant women. Subjects and Method: This was a randomized controlled trial. A sample of 20 pregnant women divided into two groups. Intervention group was MBCT with 8 sessions for 30 minutes each session within a period of 2 weeks. The control group was health education and usual care. The dependent variable was anxiety. The independent variable was MBCT. Anxiet was measured using HARS questionnaires. Difference of anxiety between groups were tested using independent t-test. Results: Mean of anxiety score in the MBCT group (Mean= 16.40; SD= 4.01) was lower than in the control group (Mean= 23.60; SD= 7.37), and it was statistically significant (p = 0.015). Abstract

Luka perineum karena bersalin dapat menimbulkan ketidaknyamanan dan infeksi. Patch transdermal ekstrak sarang burung wallet mengandung glikoprotein untuk merangsang penyembuhan luka. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis efektivitas patch transdermal ekstrak sarang burung walet terhadap penyembuhan luka perineum ibu postpartum. Metode yang digunakan adalah True experiment, pre-test dan post-test with control group design dengan Teknik sampling randomized simple sampling. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 34 ibu postpartum hari pertama, dengan luka perineum derajat II dan dilakukan penjahitan, bersalin normal, berusia 20-35 tahun, status gizi normal, tidak diabetes, tidak mengalami infeksi dan kadar hemoglobin 11-15g/dl, serta kriteria eksklusi yaitu memiliki komplikasi masa persalinan dan masa nifas. Sampel terdiri atas 17 orang kelompok intervensi yang diberikan patch transdermal ekstrak sarang burung wallet 2,8g dengan cara ditempelkan pada perinium dan 17 orang kelompok kontrol yang diberikan gel ekstrak sarang burung wallet 2,8g dengan cara dioleskan. Kedua kelompok diberikan intervensi 2 kali sehari selama 7 hari dan dilakukan pengukuran sebanyak 4 kali, pada hari 1,3,5, dan 7. Alat ukur penelitian menggunakan skala REEDA. Analisis menggunakan uji Friedman, Mann Whitney, dan Wilcoxon. Patch transdermal ekstrak sarang burung walet lebih cepat dalam proses penyembuhan luka dibandingkan kelompok kontrol dengan rerata skor REEDA 0,29 artinya penyembuhan luka baik, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol 3,06 artinya penyembuhan luka kurang baik dengan nilai p<0,05. Patch transdermal ekstrak sarang burung walet efektif untuk menyembuhkan luka perineum pada ibu postpartum.

Abstract

Latar Belakang :Masa bayi adalah masa keemasan sekaligus masa kritis pertumbuhan dan perkembangan. Tercapainya pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang optimal merupakan hasil interaksi berbagai faktor yang saling berkaitan, yaitu faktor genetik, lingkungan dan perilaku, serta rangsangan atau stimulasi yang berguna. Salah satu rangsangan atau stimulasi yang dianjurkan adalah pijat bayi. Pijat bayi dapat dilakukan satu atau dua kali dalam sehari. Tujuan :untuk mengetahui pengaruh frekuensi pijat bayi terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi usia 1-3 bulan di desa Karangsari dan Purbadana Kecamatan Kembaran Kabupaten Banyumas. Metode : Jenis Penelitian adalah quasi experiment dengan pendekatan non randomized pretest posttet with control group design dan teknik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling. Sampel merupakan bayi berusia 1-3 bulan berjumlah 30 bayi yang terdiri dari 10 bayi sebagai kelompok kontrol, 10 bayi sebagai kelompok intervensi pijat 1x/hari dan 10 bayi sebagai kelompok intervensi pijat 2x/hari. Analisis perbedaan pertumbuhan (berat badan) menggunakan T test berpasangan, sedangkan analisis perbedaan perkembangan sebelum dan sesudah pijat bayi menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon. Untuk analisis pengaruh frekuensi pijat bayi terhadap pertumbuhan (berat badan) menggunakan Uji One Way Anova, sedangkan analisis pengaruh frekuensi pijat bayi terhadap perkembangan menggunakan Uji Kruskal Wallis. Hasil : Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa ada perbedaan pertumbuhan (berat badan) sebelum dan sesudah intervensi pada ketiga kelompok (p= 0,0001<α0.05). Hasil analisis Uji Wilcoxon menyebutkan ada perbedaan perkembangan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi pada ketiga kelompok (p=0,046;p=0,025;p=0,046< α0,05). Hasil analisis dengan Uji One Way Anova menyebutkan tidak ada pengaruh frekuensi pijat bayi terhadap pertumbuhan (berat badan ) dengan nilai p=0,166>α0,05. Hasil analisis dengan Uji Kruskal Wallis menyimpulkan tidak ada pengaruh frekuensi pijat bayi terhadap perkembangan (p= 0,342 > α=0,05). Saran : diharapkan untuk menggerakkan kembali aktifitas pijat bayi dan memberikan stimulus secara terus menerus serta memperhatikan faktor-faktor lain yang menunjang pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi seperti memberikan ASI secara eksklusif.

Abstract

Luka perineum dapat disebabkan oleh persalinan secara spontan oleh alat atau tindakan (episiotomi) dan terjadi selama kelahiran berlangsung. Luka perineum terjadi pada hampir semua persalinan pervaginam yang dialami oleh ibu primipara dan tidak jarang juga terjadi pada multipara. Data Kementerian Kesehatan tahun 2021 menunjukkan bahwa 83% ibu melahirkan pervaginam mengalami ruptur perineum, dengan 63% disebabkan oleh episiotomi dan 38% disebabkan oleh robekan spontan. Luka perineum yang tidak  tertangani  denganntepat  dan  cepat  dapat menyebabkan keterbatasan aktivitas fisik serta gangguan laktasi. Penanganan non-farmakologi menggunakan ekstrak daun renggak menjadi solusi alternatif untuk penyembuhan luka perineum. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbandingan gel dan hydrogel daun renggak (amomum dealbatum roxb) terhadap penyembuhan luka perineum pada tikus dibandingkan kelompok kontrol perawatan bersih kering. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu True Experiment dengan Post-test with Control Group menggunakan simple random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 24 ekor tikus betina (Rattus Norvegicus) yang dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok yaitu kelompok gel, hydrogel dan kelompok perawatan bersih kering. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi skor skala REEDA. Analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji friedman dan Kruskal wallis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gel dan hydrogel daun renggak lebih cepat dalam proses penyembuhan luka perineum sejak hari pertama dibandingkan kelompok kontrol perawatan bersih kering. Hasil analisis kelompok intervensi dan kontrol terdapat penurunan skala REEDA yang bermakna dari hari ke 1 sampai hari ke 7, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan p-value sebesar 0,00 (p-value <0,05). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian gel dan hydrogel daun renggak efektif sebagai alternatif penyembuhan luka perineum

Abstract

Background: Sanitary pads are essential for postpartum mothers to accommodate lochia and prevent infection in perineal wounds. Binahong leaves (Anredera cordifolia) contain flavonoids with antiseptic, antioxidant, and analgesic properties that promote wound healing by inhibiting microbial growth and reducing inflammation. However, research on the use of sanitary pads infused with Binahong leaf extract for perineal wound healing remains limited.Objective: This study investigates the effectiveness of Binahong leaf extract sanitary pads in accelerating postpartum perineal wound healing. Methods: A quasi-experimental study with a post-test-only randomized control group design was conducted at the Poasia Health Center, Kendari City. The study included postpartum mothers meeting specific inclusion and exclusion criteria, with a total sample of 34 participants (17 intervention, 17 control). The intervention group used Binahong leaf extract sanitary pads four times daily, while the control group relied on standard dry wound care. The intervention lasted seven days, and wound healing was assessed using the REEDA scale on days three, five, and seven.Results: The findings demonstrated a significant effect of Binahong leaf extract sanitary pads on perineal wound healing. The intervention group (2.52 ± 0.87) experienced faster wound recovery than the control group (5.23 ± 1.67) (p< 0.001).Conclusion: Binahong leaf extract sanitary pads effectively accelerate perineal wound healing in postpartum mothers and may serve as an alternative wound care approach.
