Abstract

This study investigates the effect of profitability, dividend policy, and firm size on firm value among companies listed in the LQ45 index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2023. The research addresses the issue that firm value, as a key indicator of shareholder wealth, is influenced by various internal factors, yet prior studies have shown inconsistent findings regarding these relationships. Using a quantitative approach, the study employs secondary data from annual financial reports of 45 companies selected through purposive sampling. The variables are measured using Return on Equity (ROE) for profitability, Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) for dividend policy, firm size (log of total assets), and Tobin’s Q for firm value. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression with a cross-sectional design, using SPSS version 26. The results reveal that profitability has a significant positive effect on firm value (? = 4.807, p < 0.001), indicating that higher profitability reflects better managerial performance and strengthens investor perception. Dividend policy (? = 0.005, p = 0.506) and firm size (? = -6.965E-16, p = 0.390) show no significant effects. However, jointly, the three variables significantly influence firm value (F = 7.876, p < 0.001) with an Adjusted R² of 0.319. These findings imply that while profitability remains a strong driver of firm value in LQ45 companies, dividend policy and firm size alone are less determinant, highlighting the need for investors to evaluate companies holistically.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low public understanding and trust in insurance, even though this insurance is very important for future life. This study aims to analyze the influence of public understanding and trust on the interest in becoming a Sharia insurance participant, with public perception as an intervening variable. The study was conducted in the rural area of Sibuhuan, Padang Lawas, considering the low penetration of Sharia insurance due to low public understanding and trust. A sample of 100 respondents was drawn from a population of 22,464 people, referring to the age distribution of BPS 2024–2025. Analysis using SmartPLS 4 showed that understanding and trust significantly influenced interest, with trust as the dominant factor. Public perception was proven to strengthen the relationship between understanding and trust on interest in participating in Sharia insurance.

Abstract

The Indonesian capital market has experienced significant growth supported by advances in information technology, particularly the implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS) in investment decision-making. This study aims to analyze the role of MIS in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of stock investment decisions in the Indonesian capital market. A qualitative research method using in-depth interviews with individual investors was employed to explore their experiences and perceptions in using MIS. The results indicate that MIS facilitates real-time data access, improves the quality of fundamental and technical analysis, and assists in investment risk management. However, challenges such as data quality, interface complexity, and low financial literacy hinder the optimal use of MIS. This study recommends improving data quality, developing more user-friendly features, and providing continuous financial literacy education programs to maximize MIS utilization. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for MIS developers and capital market regulators in strengthening an inclusive and sustainable investment ecosystem.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is driven by high revenues. The background of this study is based on the declining revenue among salted fish entrepreneurs due to fluctuations in raw material costs, unstable raw material availability, and intense competition in the local market. This study aims to analyze the effect of raw material costs, raw material inventory, and the level of competition on the income of salted fish entrepreneurs in Bagan Arya Village. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through interviews involving 30 salted fish entrepreneurs as a sample. Panel data is used because it is able to capture changes and relationships between variables more accurately over a five-year observation period. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the SmartPLS 4.0 application. The research findings revealed that raw material costs and raw material inventory have a positive and significant effect, while competition has a negative and significant effect on revenue. The R-squared value of 0.745 indicates that raw material costs, raw material inventory, and competition simultaneously explain 74.5% of revenue. These results highlight the importance of cost and inventory management strategies, as well as innovation in the face of competition, to increase the income of local entrepreneurs in the salted fish processing sector.

Abstract

Various models of choices that people have to invest their capital in the form of investment, including by investing their capital in the capital market. ISSI is present as one of the stock indicators that displays all sharia stocks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The purpose of this study is to see the level of interaction between inflation, exchange rates, BI rates, oil prices, and gold, and how this impacts the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) in the short and long term from 2015 to 2024. This study uses a quantitative approach using the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method. The results of the VECM show three long-term variables—inflation, BI rates, and oil prices—and two short-term variables, namely gold prices and exchange rates. The results of the causality test show a two-way relationship between ISSI and the exchange rate. The results of the Variance Decomposition test show that oil prices make the largest contribution, namely 25.6 percent. followed by the exchange rate of 18.3 percent, inflation of 7.1 percent, BI rate of 6.9 percent and gold prices of 0.6 percent to the variation of ISSI. The results of the causality test show that the BI rate significantly affects the gold price, the oil price affects the exchange rate, the ISSI affects the exchange rate, and the exchange rate affects the ISSI. This confirms that the ISSI and the exchange rate have a strong causal relationship.

Abstract

This study explores how social and economic factors simultaneously influence the choice of halal-labeled food and beverages among Muslim Generation Z, with a particular focus on students of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. Previous research has largely examined these factors in isolation, leaving limited attention to their simultaneous effects in shaping halal consumption. Employing a quantitative survey of 100 respondents analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), the study reveals that social factors, such as family and peer influence, serve as the strongest drivers of halal choices, while economic factors, including price and accessibility, function as moderating conditions. The findings contribute to the halal consumption literature by integrating social and economic dimensions within the context of Islamic higher education, thereby addressing a gap concerning young Muslim consumers. Practically, the study suggests that policymakers and halal certification bodies should enhance community-based halal literacy, while businesses may strengthen market engagement through price affordability strategies and the utilization of family and peer influence.

Abstract

This study examines business development strategies for a small and medium enterprise (Havana Collection) in the digital era and prioritizes actionable initiatives using a SWOT–QSPM approach. Internal and external factors were mapped through field observations and document review; weighted scores were computed with IFAS/EFAS, strategic alternatives were formulated via SWOT, and priorities were determined using the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix. The firm’s IFAS and EFAS totals indicate a relatively favorable external context (IFAS ≈ 2.56; EFAS ≈ 2.71). QSPM highlights an SO-led pathway: intensifying digital marketing—including paid ads, creator collaborations, and affiliate programs—emerges as the top priority, while product development and market expansion serve as supportive moves. Managerially, the roadmap emphasizes content capability and performance analytics, sequencing quick wins while strengthening core processes. The study demonstrates how a compact, evidence-based framework translates qualitative factor mapping into an implementable priority list for SME growth in the digital landscape.

Abstract

Modern Monetary Theory or MMT is currently considered capable of making a country no longer dependent on the value of taxes and debt. Printing as much money as needed in the realsector will not make printing money cause inflation as it has been. There have not been many studies that discuss this MMT from an Islamic economic point of view. This study aims to provide new insights for monetary policy, especially Islamic monetary, in developing monetary policy in accordance with the development of exchange instruments or money circulation which is currently very rapid. This research is a qualitative research with a library research approach. The data sources used are primary data sources (Ibn Khaldun's book and Umer Chapra's book), secondary data (supporting books, journals, and other literature). The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and content analysis (conten analysis). Data assurance through triangulation, namely sources, methods, investigators and theories. The result of this researchis that modern monetary theory (MMT) can be one of the options in overcoming an economicrecession, in line with the Islamic economy which emphasizes more on real investment than investment on paper, with strict requirements. Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) can be adopted to help increase people's purchasing power so that it has an impact on increasing state incomewithout having to increase foreign debt.
