Abstract

This research aims to produce Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles-based Taman River sand as the raw material through coprecipitation. The Fe content percentage in the Taman River sand after separation was characterized using XRF testing. The lattice parameters and crystal size of the samples were tested using XRD. The nanoparticles' morphology, structure, particle shape, and elemental content were characterized using SEM-EDX. The magnetic properties and magnetic saturation values were tested using VSM. XRF testing results on the iron sand showed a Fe content of 84.72%. The synthesis resulted in a brNownish-black Fe3O4 nanoparticle powder that a permanent magnet could attract. Based on the XRD results, the Fe3O4 nanoparticle powder peaks were obtained at X-ray diffraction pattern angles of 2θ: 21.44°, 35.38°, 41.74°, 50.78°, 63.36°, 67.70°, and 74.66°, indicating the presence of Fe3O4 nanoparticles. The crystal structure formed was cubic with lattice parameters a = b = c = 8.331 Å and a crystal size of 18.43 nm. SEM-EDX results showed an average particle size of 25-30 nm. VSM results indicated that the Fe3O4 sample had a saturation magnetization (Ms) of 27.36 emu/g, a remanent magnetization (Mr) of -0.01 emu/g, and a coercive field (Hc) of 0.01 T.

Abstract

Consumption of fossil fuels causes greenhouse effect and global warming, hence the need for renewable energy sources that are environmentally friendly. Hydrogen is one of the abundant elements on earth. Hydrogen refers to a clean and renewable energy source, hydrogen can be a good choice to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. One way to produce hydrogen is by electrochemical water splitting. This study aims to determine the characterization of iron-based nanomaterials (iron sulfide - iron hydroxide) as a water splitting catalyst in general. Iron sulfide synthesis was carried out using hydrothermal sulfidation method for 6 hours at 80 oC with nickel foam as substrate. Synthesis of iron sulfide varying the concentration of sodium sulfide nonahydrate (0.0125 M, 0.025 M, 0.05 M and 0.1 M) produced brownish yellow to blackish grey colored samples. Characterization results using XRD showed that iron sulfide peaks were detected at higher concentrations of sodium sulfide nonahydrate. Based on the results of analyzing iron hydroxide using SEM, it is known that the sample is in the form of nano walls and on iron sulfide, it is known that the sample is in the form of nanoscale particles. Based on electrochemical measurement results, iron hydroxide can be a good catalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) compared with commercial Pt/C. The overpotential of iron hydroxide is smaller than Pt/C, which is only 15 mV at a current density 10 mA/cm2 and iron sulfide can be a good catalyst for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) with electrocatalytic measurement results close to commercial RuO2. This is indicated by the small overpotential (260 mV at current densisty 10 mA/cm2 and small tafel slope (51 mV/dec).

Abstract

Abstrak: Program Kosabangsa di Desa Oepuah Selatan, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara, dilaksanakan sebagai upaya mengatasi rendahnya produktivitas usaha rumah tangga dan tingginya prevalensi stunting yang dipengaruhi oleh keterbatasan akses pangan bergizi dan pengelolaan usaha berbasis teknologi. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas produksi, manajemen, dan pemasaran kelompok industri rumah tangga berbasis ikan, serta memperkuat peran Posyandu dalam pengelolaan pangan lokal bergizi dan digitalisasi layanan gizi balita. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, workshop, pendampingan, dan penerapan teknologi tepat guna yang dilaksanakan secara partisipatif. Peserta kegiatan terdiri atas Kelompok Industri Rumah Tangga Nekmese sebanyak 27 orang dan kader Posyandu Desa Oepuah Selatan sebanyak 20 orang. Evaluasi program dilakukan melalui observasi langsung, angket kepuasan mitra, dan analisis capaian indikator kinerja program. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan teknis dan manajerial mitra industri sebesar 40% pada aspek produksi dan pengemasan, serta peningkatan penjualan produk olahan ikan sebesar 30%. Pada mitra Posyandu, sebanyak 80% kader mampu mengoperasikan sistem pencatatan gizi berbasis digital secara mandiri, disertai peningkatan kesadaran gizi masyarakat. Program ini berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan nilai ekonomi produk lokal, memperkuat kapasitas layanan gizi masyarakat desa, serta menjadi model kolaborasi pemberdayaan berbasis teknologi dan potensi lokal yang berkelanjutan.Abstract: The Kosabangsa Program in Oepuah Selatan Village, North Central Timor Regency, was implemented to address low household business productivity and high stunting prevalence resulting from limited access to nutritious food and inadequate technology-based enterprise management. This program aimed to enhance production capacity, managerial competence, and marketing of fish-based home industries, as well as to strengthen the role of Posyandu in managing nutritious local food and digitalizing child nutrition services. The implementation methods included socialization, training, workshops, mentoring, and the application of appropriate technology through a participatory approach. The program participants consisted of 27 members of the Nekmese Home Industry Group and 20 cadres of the Oepuah Selatan Posyandu. Program evaluation was conducted through direct observation, partner satisfaction surveys, and performance indicator analysis. The results demonstrated a 40% increase in technical and managerial competencies related to production and packaging, along with a 30% increase in sales of processed fish products. Among Posyandu partners, 80% of cadres were able to independently operate digital nutrition recording systems, accompanied by increased community nutrition awareness. This program contributes to enhancing the economic value of local products, strengthening community-based nutrition services, and providing a sustainable model of technology-driven and locally grounded empowerment.

Abstract

Abstrak: Desa Nian memiliki potensi kelapa yang melimpah, tetapi masyarakat hanya menjualnya dalam bentuk mentah dengan nilai ekonomi rendah. Kelompok Tani Oemanas, dengan 29 anggota, mengalami keterbatasan alat dan teknologi untuk mengolah kelapa menjadi Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). Program pengabdian bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas pengolahan kelapa melalui penerapan teknologi sederhana dan pelatihan, dengan fokus pada pengembangan hardskill, seperti penguasaan proses teknis dan penggunaan alat, serta softskill, seperti komunikasi, kerja sama tim, dan manajemen waktu, untuk mendukung keberlanjutan dan efektivitas hasil pengolahan. Metode kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi, workshop, pelatihan teknis, penerapan alat modern seperti mesin parut otomatis dan alat pemeras santan, serta pendampingan dan evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi, angket sebanyak 12 pernyataan, dan wawancara. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan kapasitas produksi hingga 60 botol (100 ml) per minggu, efisiensi waktu produksi meningkat 30%, dan kualitas VCO sesuai standar industri. Sebanyak 85% peserta mampu mengoperasikan alat, dan 80% melaporkan peningkatan pendapatan dari penjualan VCO. Program ini meningkatkan soft skill dan hard skill anggota, tetapi juga mengoptimalkan potensi lokal dan mendukung pencapaian SDGs pada tujuan pekerjaan layak dan pertumbuhan ekonomi.Abstract: Nian Village possesses abundant coconut resources, yet the community predominantly sells them in raw form with low economic value. The Oemanas Farmers Group, comprising 29 members, faces limitations in equipment and technology for processing coconuts into Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). The community service program aims to enhance the capacity for coconut processing through the application of simple technology and training, with a focus on developing hard skills, such as mastering technical processes and tool usage, as well as soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, and time management, to support the sustainability and effectiveness of the processing outcomes. The methods included socialization, workshops, technical training, implementation of modern tools such as automatic graters and coconut milk presses, as well as mentoring and evaluation. Evaluations were conducted through observation, surveys, and interviews. The results indicated an increase in production capacity to 60 bottles (100 ml) per week, a 30% improvement in production efficiency, and VCO quality that meets industry standards. Additionally, 85% of participants successfully operated the equipment, and 80% reported increased income from VCO sales. This program improved members' soft and hard skills but also optimized local potential and supported SDG goals for decent work and economic growth.

Abstract

Bonyoh Village in Bangli Regency has great potential for development in the sectors of horticultural agriculture, livestock, educational agro-tourism, and renewable energy. Located on the southern slopes of the Mount Batur Caldera at an altitude of 850–950 meters above sea level, the village has a cool climate and high rainfall that support the cultivation of high-value crops such as Siam oranges, Arabica coffee, and chili peppers. However, this potential has not been fully utilized due to limited basic infrastructure, particularly the lack of a permanent irrigation system and proper water management. The hilly topography prevents the village from receiving water supply from Lake Batur, making agricultural productivity highly dependent on rainfall. In the livestock sector, work efficiency remains low since feeding and waste management activities are still performed manually. To address these issues, a technology demonstration plot approach, hands-on training, and institutional mentoring are implemented. Appropriate technological innovations include the construction of a well-dam system with a submersible pump, the application of smart farming through solar-powered drip irrigation for citrus cultivation, and the utilization of livestock waste for biogas production. This program is expected to improve energy efficiency, enhance agricultural productivity, and realize a sustainable, zero-waste integrated farming system.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence, khususnya ChatGPT, dalam pembelajaran IPA pada Kurikulum Merdeka menunjukkan variasi dalam pola penggunaan dan tingkat pendampingan guru, yang berdampak pada kesiapan belajar siswa. Perbedaan literasi digital dan ketersediaan infrastruktur turut membentuk cara teknologi ini diintegrasikan dalam praktik pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengevaluasi implementasi ChatGPT dalam pembelajaran IPA serta menginterpretasikan keterkaitannya dengan kesiapan belajar siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam, dan angket yang melibatkan guru dan siswa SMP negeri se-Kota Singaraja. Analisis data dilakukan secara induktif untuk mengungkap pola pemanfaatan, dinamika pendampingan, dan kendala implementasi ChatGPT dalam pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 34 dari 40 siswa (85%) memanfaatkan ChatGPT untuk berbagai keperluan akademik. ChatGPT dimanfaatkan sebagai alat bantu pemahaman konsep IPA, sarana pembelajaran mandiri, dan pendukung motivasi belajar siswa. Namun, variasi akses internet, kompetensi digital, serta strategi pendampingan guru memengaruhi kualitas dan konsistensi pemanfaatannya. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan ChatGPT dalam pembelajaran IPA tidak terlepas dari konteks implementasi dan kesiapan pengguna, yang membentuk efektivitas integrasi teknologi dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Analysis of the Utilization of Artificial Intelligence (Chatgpt) in Science Learning in the Independent Curriculum in Junior High Schools in Singaraja City Abstract The use of Artificial Intelligence, specifically ChatGPT, in science learning under the Independent Curriculum (Curriculum Merdeka), shows variations in usage patterns and levels of teacher support, which impact students' learning readiness. Differences in digital literacy and infrastructure availability also shape how this technology is integrated into learning practices. This study aims to analyze and evaluate the implementation of ChatGPT in science learning and interpret its relationship to student learning readiness. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires involving teachers and students of public junior high schools in Singaraja City. Data analysis was conducted inductively to uncover usage patterns, support dynamics, and obstacles to ChatGPT implementation in learning. The study results showed that 34 out of 40 students (85%) used ChatGPT for various academic purposes. ChatGPT was used as a tool to help understand science concepts, as a means for independent learning, and as a motivational support for students. However, variations in internet access, digital competency, and teacher support strategies influence the quality and consistency of its use. These findings indicate that the use of ChatGPT in science learning is inseparable from the implementation context and user readiness, which shape the effectiveness of technology integration in the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kabupaten Buleleng, Bali memiliki potensi pertanian dan kehutanan yang besar, namun belum dioptimalkan secara terpadu sebagai basis ekonomi pariwisata berkelanjutan. Desa Selat–Sukasada menghadapi keterbatasan kapasitas sumber daya manusia, rendahnya adopsi teknologi pertanian, serta belum terintegrasinya sistem tani-ternak dan ekowisata hutan. Program Pemberdayaan Desa Binaan (PDB) bertujuan meningkatkan hardskill dan softskill mitra dalam pengelolaan agroforestry tourism dan sistem tani-ternak multilayer berbasis smart farming. Program dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Learning System (PALS) melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, dan pendampingan kepada Kelompok Pengelola Hutan Desa Selat dan Kelompok Tani-Ternak Dharma Wiguna yang melibatkan 60 orang. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan dan pre–post assessment menggunakan 15 butir soal. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan hardskill sebesar 38%, pemahaman pengelolaan wisata edukatif sebesar 42%, serta nilai ekonomi usaha tani-ternak dan HHBK sebesar 27%.Abstract: Buleleng Regency, Bali has significant agricultural and forestry potential, yet it has not been optimally integrated as a sustainable tourism-based economic resource. Selat–Sukasada Village faces limited human resource capacity, low adoption of agricultural technology, and weak integration between crop–livestock systems and forest ecotourism. This Fostered Village Empowerment Program aimed to enhance partners’ hard and soft skills in managing agroforestry tourism and multilayer crop–livestock systems based on smart farming. The program was implemented using the Participatory Action Learning System (PALS) through socialization, training, technology application, and mentoring involving 60 members of the Selat Village Forest Management Group and Dharma Wiguna Farmer–Livestock Group. Evaluation was conducted through field observation and pre–post assessments using 15 questionnaire items. The results showed a 38% increase in technical skills, a 42% improvement in understanding of educational tourism management, and a 27% increase in the economic value of crop–livestock and non-timber forest products.

Abstract

Abstrak: Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilaksanakan pada kelompok tani mitra di wilayah pedesaan dengan basis ekonomi pertanian hortikultura dan perikanan air tawar. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra meliputi sistem produksi yang masih konvensional, keterbatasan akses air, lemahnya manajemen usaha, serta ketergantungan pemasaran pada pengepul. Kegiatan pengabdian bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas produksi dan nilai tambah ekonomi mitra melalui penerapan teknologi digital dan penguatan manajemen usaha. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Learning System (PALS) yang meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan dan evaluasi, serta penguatan kelembagaan dan keberlanjutan dengan melibatkan 25 anggota kelompok tani. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre–post assessment keterampilan dan pencatatan perubahan produktivitas. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan teknis mitra sebesar 38%, peningkatan efisiensi produksi pertanian sebesar 30%, serta peningkatan nilai jual produk olahan bawang merah rata-rata sebesar 25% melalui diversifikasi produk dan perbaikan sistem pemasaran.Abstract: This Community Service Program (PkM) is implemented in partner farmer groups in rural areas with an economic base of horticulture and freshwater fisheries. The main problems faced by partners include conventional production systems, limited water access, weak business management, and marketing dependence on collectors. The community service activity aims to increase production capacity and economic added value of partners through the application of digital technology and strengthening business management. The implementation method uses the Participatory Action Learning System (PALS) approach which includes socialization, training, technology application, mentoring and evaluation, as well as institutional strengthening and sustainability by involving 25 farmer group members. Evaluation is carried out through pre-post skills assessments and recording productivity changes. The results of the activity show an increase in partners' technical skills by 38%, an increase in agricultural production efficiency by 30%, and an average increase in the selling value of processed shallot products by 25% through product diversification and improvements to the marketing system.

Abstract

Abstrak: Wilayah mitra sasaran menghadapi penurunan produktivitas pertanian dan peternakan akibat keterbatasan air, rendahnya efisiensi teknologi, serta meningkatnya kerentanan usaha tani. Program pengabdian Kosabangsa ini bertujuan meningkatkan produktivitas, efisiensi sumber daya, dan kapasitas teknis mitra melalui penerapan teknologi tepat guna berbasis energi terbarukan dan pendekatan partisipatif. Kegiatan dilaksanakan menggunakan metode Participatory Action Learning System (PALS) yang meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan dan evaluasi, serta dan penguatan kelembagaan dan keberlanjutan, dengan melibatkan dua kelompok mitra sektor pertanian dan peternakan sebanyak 50 orang. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre–post assessment keterampilan, observasi lapangan, dan pencatatan perubahan kinerja produksi. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan produktivitas pertanian sebesar 25%, peningkatan efisiensi penggunaan air sebesar 35%, serta penurunan tingkat penyakit ternak sebesar 50%. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan hardskill mitra dalam pengelolaan teknologi dan praktik usaha tani berkelanjutan.Abstract: The target partner area faces declining agricultural and livestock productivity due to limited water, low technological efficiency, and increasing vulnerability of farming businesses. The Kosabangsa community service program aims to increase productivity, resource efficiency, and technical capacity of partners through the application of appropriate technology based on renewable energy and a participatory approach. Activities are implemented using the Participatory Action Learning System (PALS) method, which includes socialization, training, technology application, mentoring and evaluation, and institutional strengthening and sustainability, involving two groups of 50 agricultural and livestock sector partners. Evaluation is carried out through pre-post skills assessments, field observations, and recording changes in production performance. The program results show a 25% increase in agricultural productivity, a 35% increase in water use efficiency, and a 50% decrease in livestock disease rates. In addition, there has been an increase in partners' hard skills in technology management and sustainable farming practices.

Abstract

Abstrak: Sebuah desa Bali Aga di Bali Utara memiliki potensi warisan sosial-budaya dan sumber daya alam yang mendukung pengembangan agrowisata berbasis kearifan lokal. Namun, pemanfaatannya belum optimal akibat keterbatasan kompetensi masyarakat dalam manajemen usaha dan penerapan teknologi. Program pemberdayaan ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas manajerial, produktivitas, dan efisiensi usaha melalui pengembangan sentra kerajinan bambu serta sistem tani-ternak multilayer berbasis IoT. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan Penthahelix dan metode Participatory Action Learning System (PALS) melalui tahapan pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, dan evaluasi pretest–posttest berbasis indikator keberdayaan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan: 80% anggota menerapkan pencatatan usaha digital, produksi ternak meningkat hingga 75%, biaya pakan menurun 20%, dan omzet kerajinan bambu naik 40%. Program ini memperkuat integrasi ekonomi lokal berbasis agrowisata berkelanjutan.Abstract: A Bali Aga village in northern Bali possesses rich socio-cultural heritage and natural resources with strong potential for local-based agro-tourism development. However, these resources have not been optimally utilized due to limited community capacity in business management and technology adoption. This empowerment program aimed to enhance managerial capacity, productivity, and business efficiency through the development of a bamboo handicraft center and an IoT-based multilayer crop–livestock system. The program applied a Penthahelix approach combined with the Participatory Action Learning System (PALS), including training, technology implementation, mentoring, and pretest–posttest evaluation based on empowerment indicators. The results indicate significant improvements: 80% of members adopted digital business record-keeping, livestock production increased by up to 75%, feed costs decreased by 20%, and bamboo handicraft turnover rose by 40%. The program strengthened the integration of local economic activities within a sustainable agro-tourism framework.
