Abstract

ABSTRACT Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) represent Islamic educational institutions that possess a distinctive nurturing system in shaping students’ character in a holistic and sustainable manner. One of the fundamental values that forms the core of pesantren education is the Panca Jiwa, which consists of sincerity, simplicity, self-reliance, Islamic brotherhood, and fighting spirit. Amid the challenges of globalization, digitalization, and increasing moral complexity among younger generations, a well-structured and continuous nurturing management system is required to ensure that these values are effectively internalized in students’ daily lives. This study aims to analyze nurturing management in the formation of Panca Jiwa character at Al-Basyariyah Islamic Boarding School, Cigondewah, focusing on the aspects of planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up within the student nurturing process. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with pesantren leaders, the director of student nurturing, teachers, and student administrators, as well as documentation analysis. The findings indicate that nurturing management at Al-Basyariyah Islamic Boarding School is implemented systematically and is deeply rooted in pesantren culture, involving all elements of the boarding school community. The internalization of Panca Jiwa values is realized through religious habituation, daily discipline, student independence, literacy programs, and the exemplary conduct of caregivers. Evaluation is conducted through both formal and informal mechanisms and is reinforced by the practice of muhasabah as a form of spiritual reflection. This study concludes that nurturing management integrated with pesantren culture is effective in shaping students’ Panca Jiwa character and has strong potential to serve as a contextual and sustainable model of community-based character education. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of facilities and infrastructure in improving the quality of educational services at PKBM Qiyya Santosa, Bandung Regency. The research background is based on the importance of facilities and infrastructure as one of the national education standards that play a strategic role in supporting the learning process, particularly in non-formal education units that often face resource limitations. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and verification techniques. The findings indicate that the management of facilities and infrastructure at PKBM Qiyya Santosa has been implemented through the application of POAC management functions (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling). Planning is carried out in a participatory manner based on the actual needs of learners and budget constraints. Organizing includes clear task distribution among managers, tutors, and education staff, as well as the implementation of standard operating procedures for facility use. The execution of procurement is conducted gradually through government assistance, self-help, and community support, while the utilization of facilities is optimized through tutors’ creativity. Supervision is carried out regularly through internal monitoring and evaluation to ensure sustainability. Although challenges such as limited budgets and learning spaces remain, adaptive and participatory management of facilities and infrastructure has proven to contribute positively to improving the quality of educational services at PKBM Qiyya Santosa.

Abstract

Human resources are a key factor in improving the quality of education. The quality of teacher and educational staff management significantly determines the success of the learning process and the achievement of educational goals. However, in practice, human resource management in elementary schools, especially in rural areas, still faces various limitations. The focus of this research covers Henry Fayol's management functions: planning, organizing, implementing, coordinating, and supervising, as well as their impact on educational quality. This study aims to describe and analyze the application of human resource management in improving the quality of education at SDN Wanasuka, Pangalengan District, Bandung Regency. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research subjects included the principal, teachers, and educational staff. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies, then analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that human resource management at SDN Wanasuka has been implemented through planning, organizing, implementing, coordinating, and supervising. Human resource planning and coordination have been running quite well, while human resource development and evaluation are still suboptimal due to limited human resources and infrastructure. The main supporting factors include principal leadership and teacher commitment, while inhibiting factors include limited human resources and teacher administrative burdens. The study's conclusions indicate that human resource management plays a strategic role in improving educational quality, but ongoing strengthening and evaluation of human resources is necessary.

Abstract

Institutional transformation in higher education has become a strategic necessity to improve governance quality, academic capacity, and institutional competitiveness. However, empirically, STAI Al-Masthuriyah Sukabumi still faces various challenges in its implementation. This study aims to describe and analyze the internal and external factors influencing the transformation process through the mapping of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The study employs Lewin’s Institutional Transformation Theory, Albert Humphrey’s SWOT Analysis in Strategic Management, and Kezar’s Higher Education Management Theory as theoretical frameworks. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied through observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies involving institutional leaders, lecturers, educational staff, and relevant stakeholders. The results indicate that STAI Al-Masthuriyah possesses strengths in its pesantren-based identity and strong social support but still faces weaknesses in digital governance and unequal human resource competencies. The main opportunities come from government policies and the growing public interest in Islamic education, while threats arise from changes in the accreditation system and increasing competition among Islamic higher education institutions (PTKIS). The institutional transformation process proceeds through human resource development, curriculum renewal, the establishment of new study programs, and the gradual and collaborative digitalization of academic administration.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of POAC management functions (planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling) in improving graduate quality at SMA Negeri 1 Banjaran. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the planning stage was systematically formulated through the establishment of graduate quality standards, curriculum development, and planning for the improvement of human resources and facilities. Organizing was implemented through a clear division of roles and responsibilities within the school structure. The actuating stage was characterized by collaborative leadership, the implementation of academic and non-academic programs, and continuous teacher professional development. Controlling was conducted through regular evaluations of academic and non-academic outcomes. Overall, the implementation of POAC management functions was effective and contributed positively to improving the quality of graduates..

Abstract

Tantangan global menuntut lulusan perguruan tinggi tidak hanya unggul secara akademik, tetapi juga memiliki integritas, spiritualitas, dan kepedulian sosial. Namun, banyak calon wisudawan masih kurang siap secara mental dan karakter untuk memasuki dunia kerja dan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, FKIP Universitas Islam Nusantara menyelenggarakan Program BISLIM (Bina Sarjana Muslim) sebagai pendampingan untuk menguatkan iman, ilmu, dan amal dalam membentuk generasi unggul dan berdaya saing. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman keislaman, kesiapan profesional, dan komitmen pengabdian sosial calon wisudawan. Metode yang digunakan berupa pendampingan partisipatif melalui pembinaan spiritual, penguatan wawasan, dan refleksi nilai. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan angket. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman nilai keislaman, kesiapan menghadapi dunia kerja, dan kesadaran untuk berkontribusi bagi masyarakat. Simpulan menunjukkan bahwa Program BISLIM efektif dalam membentuk sarjana muslim yang berkarakter dan berdaya saing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi kebijakan pengelolaan Dana Bantuan Operasional Satuan Pendidikan (BOSP) di SDN Jati 3, Kecamatan Bojongpicung, dengan menitikberatkan pada penerapan prinsip akuntabilitas dan transparansi dalam mendukung optimalisasi proses pembelajaran. Pengelolaan dana pendidikan yang efektif dan bertanggung jawab merupakan faktor penting dalam peningkatan kualitas layanan pendidikan di tingkat sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif evaluatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan informan kunci yang terdiri atas kepala sekolah, bendahara sekolah, dan perwakilan komite sekolah, observasi lapangan, serta analisis dokumen berupa Rencana Kegiatan dan Anggaran Sekolah (RKAS) dan laporan pertanggungjawaban keuangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SDN Jati 3 telah menerapkan mekanisme pengelolaan dana BOSP yang relatif transparan dan akuntabel melalui pencatatan administrasi keuangan yang tertib serta penyampaian informasi penggunaan dana secara terbuka kepada pemangku kepentingan. Pengelolaan dana BOSP juga diarahkan pada peningkatan sarana pembelajaran, pengembangan kompetensi guru, serta penguatan literasi dan numerasi siswa. Dampak positif dari pengelolaan dana tersebut tercermin pada peningkatan kehadiran siswa hingga 95 persen serta meningkatnya kepuasan orang tua terhadap fasilitas sekolah sebesar 25 persen. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penguatan tata kelola Dana BOSP berbasis akuntabilitas dan transparansi menjadi fondasi penting dalam menciptakan efisiensi pengelolaan pendidikan dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses school strategic management in optimizing inclusive education in public schools, with case studies at SMKN 1 Palasah and SMPN 2 Dawuan, Majalengka Regency. The background of this research is the need for appropriate strategies so that students with special needs receive fair and suitable educational services. The purpose of this study is to identify how schools plan, implement, and evaluate inclusive strategies, and to compare their impact on school culture. This research applied a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that both schools are committed to inclusive education, but differ in readiness and implementation. SMKN 1 Palasah tends to apply simple and situational adjustments, while SMPN 2 Dawuan implements a more systematic process including assessment, situation analysis, strategy formulation, implementation, and monitoring. The impact at SMKN 1 Palasah is limited to improving student independence, while SMPN 2 Dawuan shows broader impacts on academic and social development as well as the creation of a more inclusive school culture. The conclusion emphasizes that well-planned strategies, facilities, teacher competence, and collaboration with parents and stakeholders are key to inclusive education success. Schools are recommended to develop clearer strategies, establish special inclusion teams, provide teacher training, and conduct regular evaluations to ensure effective and sustainable inclusive practices.
