Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the integrated learning model of local wisdom in improving students' science process skills. This research uses a quasi-experimental design with two groups, namely an experimental group that applies an integrated learning model of local wisdom and a control group that applies a direct learning model. Data was collected using a science process skills test. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis and statistical analysis using MANOVA analysis. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the science process skills of students in the experimental group and the control group. This shows that the integrated learning model of local wisdom is effective in improving students' science process skills because there is a significant difference with an F value of 1.114.

Abstract

The learning of addition and subtraction that usually be done in sequence impact students’ tendency to separate type of the strategies employ to solve the related problems. In fact, there are a number of situations that can be observed and solved through both lenses. Therefore, in this study we designed a simultaneous addition and subtraction of two-digit numbers learning trajectory. The learning activities were constructed based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Approach. This design study was conducted in three steps consist of preliminary study, teaching experiments, and retrospective analysis. The teaching experiments were done in two cycle, the first was done with four students and the second was done with 33 students in two classes of an elementary school located in Singaraja, Bali. The data related to number sense ability were gathered from observation and students’ written work in solving worksheet and post-test. The collected data were analyzed using constant comparative method. From the results, we found that a simultaneous learning of two-digit numbers addition and subtraction were effectively develop the students’ number sense and encourage the students to develop efficient counting strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a flat shapes e-module based on project-based learning (PBL) supported by Scratch to enhance computational thinking skills. The research method used is research and development with three development phases: preliminary research, prototyping, and assessment. The research subjects consisted of 30 students from class VII at SMP High Scope in the limited trial, and 32 and 35 students from SMP Negeri 5 Denpasar in field tests 1 and 2, respectively. SMP High Scope was selected for the limited trial because its student characteristics are similar to those of SMP Negeri 5 Denpasar. In addition, SMP High Scope frequently uses Scratch in its informatics lessons, making it more suitable for identifying and addressing issues with the e-module before further testing in a more general environment. The revisions and feedback from the limited trial were then followed by field tests 1 and 2 at SMP Negeri 5 Denpasar to refine the e-module. The e-module characteristics include learning objectives, estimated time, and project-based materials. The integrated support features include Scratch, learning videos, and evaluation exercises. The e-module was assessed using validation sheets, student and teacher response questionnaires for practicality, and pre-test and post-test sheets for effectiveness. The results showed that the e-module was valid with a score of 4.00, indicating it was appropriate for use. The practicality, based on student response questionnaires, was 75.34%, and for teachers, it was 75.45%. Effectiveness was tested using a t-test with a significance value of 0.00 and an N-Gain score of 0.31, categorized as moderate.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the types of error abilities of grade VIIID students of Widya Wakti Junior High School, Denpasar, in solving problem-solving story problems in SPLDV material based on concept understanding with Newman procedures. This research method is a qualitative descriptive research. Data collection was carried out using written tests and interview methods. The research subjects were taken from 30 students in grade VIIID of Widya Sakti Junior High School, Denpasar. Each work result of the research subject was analyzed to describe the types of errors using the Newman analysis method, and then interviews were conducted to describe the students' errors. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the types of errors that arise when students solve SPLDV questions are 1) Mistakes in understanding the questions, which include not writing down what is known in the questions, and not writing down the things asked in the questions. 2) Transformation errors that include not understanding the solution method used. 3) process capability errors, which include not completing the process. 4) Final Answer Writing Errors, which include not writing the final answer in the question. The factors that cause student errors are students who are not careful in doing problems, students who are too hasty, and students who do not practice story problems.

Abstract

This study conducts a systematic review of secondary school physics curricula in 18 countries, including both developed and developing nations, to identify patterns in curriculum structure, pedagogical approaches, and implemented innovations. Utilizing the PRISMA framework, 25 indexed articles published between 2020 and 2025 were analyzed using comparative and content analysis methods. The findings reveal significant differences in curriculum modularity and flexibility. Developed countries such as Finland, Germany, and the United States adopt highly adaptive and student-centered models, while developing countries like Pakistan and Rwanda implement more rigid and centralized models. Globally, there is a pedagogical shift towards inquiry-based learning, the integration of contextual and cultural values, and the use of innovative technologies such as PhET simulations, Arduino, Python, and digital assessment tools. This study highlights practical implications for Indonesia, emphasizing the need to implement a physics curriculum that is more flexible, contextual, and technologically innovative, while integrating local values to equip students with 21st-century competencies.
