Abstract

This study aims to examine how learning culture is reconstructed through classical Islamic text literacy practices among early-generation students in modern Islamic boarding schools. It employs a qualitative case study design to gain an in-depth understanding of the phenomenon within its natural context. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and documentation, and were analyzed using data condensation, data display, and verification techniques. The findings reveal that the reconstruction of learning culture is achieved through the integration of traditional methods such as bandongan and sorogan with interactive and contextual learning approaches, supported by adaptive teacher roles and the use of learning media. These practices significantly improve students’ literacy skills, participation, and confidence in engaging with classical texts. The study implies that combining traditional Islamic scholarship with modern pedagogical strategies can enhance the relevance and effectiveness of pesantren education.

Abstract

The development of educational technology encourages Islamic educational institutions, including Islamic boarding schools, to innovate in building their image and increasing public trust. One effort is through the implementation of digital marketing strategies that utilize various social media platforms and official websites. This study aims to analyze how digital marketing is optimized in building the image of institutions and increasing public trust in Islamic boarding schools in the era of educational technology. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation of digital marketing activities carried out by Islamic boarding schools. The data obtained are then analyzed descriptively to understand the patterns and strategies applied. The results of this study indicate that digital marketing carried out consistently and planned can increase visibility and shape a positive image of Islamic boarding schools in the community. The use of informative, educational, and religious content is a major factor in building public trust. In addition, transparency of information through digital media also contributes to increasing the credibility of institutions. Practically, this study provides an overview of the importance of optimizing digital marketing in building image and public trust. Theoretically, this research enriches the study of Islamic education marketing in the digital era, particularly in the aspect of the relationship between institutional image and public trust.

Abstract

This paper describes the efforts of MTs Pandean in improving the quality of its institutions through teacher professionalism in the digital era. The quality of educational institutions is closely related to teachers as educators who will prepare students in the digitalization era. To obtain valid and accountable data, the researcher conducted interviews with several informants using purposive sampling technique, which consisted of five people, namely Qodiri, S. Pd as the head of the madrasa, Nurul Huda, S. Pd as the deputy head, Hasan Bashri, S. Pd. I as the deputy head of the curriculum, Noviwahyu Ningtiyas, S.E, S. Pd, one of the teachers at the madrasa. The forms of efforts made at MTs Pandean are training to build digital literacy awareness, teacher working groups (KKG) to build an entrepreneurial spirit, and supervision to build teacher leadership and emotional intelligence. With the fulfillment of the teacher indicators of teacher professionalism at MTs Pandean, it is hoped that then it will be able to improve the quality of these educational institutions.

Abstract

This study focuses on the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in optimizing the potential of madrasahs and improving the overall quality of educational services at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Iryadun Nasyi’in. The primary objective of this research is to analyze how TQM principles are implemented within the context of Islamic educational institutions, highlighting three main aspects: the leadership of the madrasah principal as the driving force of a quality culture, the participation and commitment of teachers in performance improvement based on quality, and the system of evaluation and continuous improvement in educational services. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the implementation of TQM in the madrasah is effective when the principal’s leadership is transformative and participatory, enabling the development of a quality culture rooted in spiritual and collaborative values. Active participation of teachers and educational staff strengthens the internal quality system through reflection, evaluation, and continuous innovation. Furthermore, structured and data-based evaluation mechanisms ensure the existence of a continuous improvement cycle across various aspects of educational services. The implications of this study affirm that TQM can serve as a strategic management model for madrasahs to achieve superior accreditation, enhance institutional competitiveness, and foster an adaptive, quality-oriented work culture. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berfokus pada penerapan Total Quality Management (TQM) dalam mengoptimalkan potensi madrasah dan meningkatkan kualitas layanan pendidikan secara menyeluruh di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Iryadun Nasyi’in. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana prinsip-prinsip TQM diimplementasikan dalam konteks lembaga pendidikan Islam, dengan menyoroti tiga aspek utama: kepemimpinan kepala madrasah sebagai penggerak budaya mutu, partisipasi dan komitmen guru dalam peningkatan kinerja berbasis mutu, serta sistem evaluasi dan perbaikan berkelanjutan dalam layanan pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan TQM di madrasah berjalan efektif ketika kepemimpinan kepala madrasah bersifat transformatif dan partisipatif, sehingga mampu membangun budaya mutu yang berakar pada nilai-nilai spiritual dan kolaboratif. Partisipasi aktif guru dan tenaga kependidikan memperkuat sistem mutu internal melalui refleksi, evaluasi, dan inovasi berkelanjutan. Selain itu, mekanisme evaluasi yang terstruktur dan berbasis data turut memastikan adanya siklus perbaikan berkesinambungan di berbagai aspek layanan pendidikan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa TQM dapat dijadikan model manajemen strategis bagi madrasah untuk mencapai akreditasi unggul, meningkatkan daya saing lembaga, serta menumbuhkan budaya kerja yang adaptif dan berorientasi mutu.
