Abstract

Sebagian masyarakat di Indonesia masih banyak sekali yang tidak memanfaatkan kulit buah manggis. Dalam beberapa penelitian, kulit buah manggis memiliki banyak manfaat untuk merawat kulit wajah. Untuk mendapatkan zat aktif pada buah manggis perlu dilakukan proses ekstraksi. Penelitian tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manfaat ekstrak kulit buah manggis untuk perawatan pada kulit wajah, dan mengetahui apa saja pemanfaatan ekstrak kulit buah manggis untuk perawatan kulit wajah. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan dengan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Populasi dalam tugas akhir ini adalah artikel jurnal yang berjumlah 8 dan 1 buku dengan teknik sampling berupa total sampling dimana populasi dijadikan sampel atau sampling jenuh. Berdasarkan kajian literature yang dilakukan terhadap artikel jurnal dan buku tersebut diperoleh bahwa ekstrak kulit buah manggis dapat digunakan untuk merawat kulit wajah dan dapat dijadikan bahan dalam kosmetika untuk perawatan kulit wajah.

Abstract

Untuk perawatan kulit wajah lebih aman menggunakan cara perawatan yang tradisional dari bahan-bahan alami. Salah satu bahan alami yang digunakan untuk perawatan kulit wajah yaitu menggunakan tumbuhan lidah buaya (Aloe​ vera​). Berdasarkan hasil studi pustaka yang dilakukan oleh penulis, pemanfaatan dari tanaman lidah buaya (Aloe vera) sebagai salah satu tanaman perawatan kecantikan kulit yang sudah dikenal pemanfaatannya secara turun-temurun. Penulis menemukan lidah buaya dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai perawatan kesehatan dan kecantikan kulit seperti hand body lotion dan juga masker wajah yang alami. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kualitatif, dilakukan saat pengumpulan data berlangsung dan setelah selesai pengumpulan data sesuai dengan waktu yang ditetapkan. Mengacu pada model analisis interaktif yang diajukan oleh Miles dan Huberman, yang prosesnya berbentuk siklus yakni memperlihatkan sifat interaktif kolektif data atau pengumpulan data dengan analisis data.

Abstract

This study aims to found out how interest in buying eyelash serum through social media for students of the D3 Makeup Program 2019 Jakarta State University. This research was made using quantitative descriptive methods by distributing questionnaires to students of the D3 Makeup program 2019 at Jakarta State University. Based on theoretical studies and data collection conducted in this study, itu produces 81,11%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze whether there is any effect of persimmon mask to brighten skin. This study applied quasi experimental research methods, skin color chart as an instrumental that use to evaluation the skin color. Sampling was done by purposive sampling where sampling was conducted based on the physical appearance or characteristic of the population in accordance with the purpose of the research. The total of the sample was 10 people, divided into two treatment groups. Five people used persimmon masks as the research group and the other five people used papaya masks as the control group. Each group received 8 treatments for four weeks and the treatment was done twice a week .After obtaining the data, analysis requirement test by normality test using Lilliefors test and two test of variance homogeneity. The result for group A Lhitung < Ltabel is 0,221 < 0,337, so the experiment A have a normal distribution. Whereas experiment B obtained Lhitung < Ltabel, 0,163 < 0,337 so the experiment B are normally distributed. For testing the homogeneity of two variances the writer used F test, Fhitung < Ftabel is 2,19< 6,39, this means the data are homogenous. The writer also applied T test average of two directions which indicated t= 2,72 at the signigicance level of α = 0,05 and Ttable= 1,86 so, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and (Hi) received. It means that the type of facial skin care using soursop leaf persimmon mask totally has influence to brighten the skin.

Abstract

Cosmetics is a necessity that has long been used and developed by humans. Along with the development of the era of increasing use of cosmetics, female students as consumers who use cosmetic products should have good knowledge about cosmetics. Cosmetics on the market are very diverse in terms of brands, types, uses, as well as colors and shapes. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and behavior to avoid Cosmetics containing Rhodamine-B. This study uses a descriptive research method with a correlational approach and the sample of this research is the Make-up Education Students, Class of 2018 with total 30 students using random sampling. The data used is primary data and collected through a questionnaire. The analytical requirements test used in this study is the Kolmogorov-Smirnov Normality Test which shows a probability value (Sig.) of 0.080 for the cosmetic knowledge variable (X) and 0.198 for the behavioral variable to avoid cosmetics containing Rhodamine-B (Y). obtained > 0.05 significant level, so that both variables can be declared normally distributed. Hypothesis testing in this study uses the product moment correlation coefficient test and the significance test of the correlation coefficient. The results show r arithmetic of 0.625, which means it is greater than r table of 0.361, which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The correlation value of 0.625 indicates a strong correlation, this refers to the Correlation Coefficient Level. It can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between knowledge of cosmetics and behavior to avoid cosmetics containing Rhodamine-B.

Abstract

This study examines the perceptions of female students in the Beauty and Cosmetic Care Study Program regarding beauty influencer content on the TikTok platform, specifically regarding the Skintific Mugwort Clay Stick Mask. Against the backdrop of TikTok's increasing popularity as a digital marketing medium and the significant role of beauty influencers in shaping consumer opinion, this study aims to understand how student perceptions influence their intention to purchase these beauty products. A descriptive qualitative method was used with six purposively selected female students, involving in-depth interviews, content observation, and data documentation. The results indicate that students view beauty influencers as credible and inspiring sources of information, but remain selective, conducting additional verification before making a purchase. Content quality, social interaction, and influencer reputation also influence purchasing decisions. This study confirms that despite the strong influence of influencers, students' purchasing decisions are influenced by various critical considerations. Therefore, the role of beauty influencers is not absolute dominance, but rather part of a complex and active information ecosystem. These findings provide important insights for digital marketing strategies that seek to maximize influencer influence while maintaining the credibility and trust of young consumers.

Abstract

Dry and chapped lips are a common problem caused by environmental factors such as extreme weather and UV exposure. The use of natural lip balm such as cucumber (Cucumis Sativus L.) which is rich in antioxidants and water content is a safe alternative to overcome this problem. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of making lip balm based on cucumber (Cucumis Sativus L.) fruit extract in terms of its physical characteristics and stability. This research method was experimental. Cucumber fruit was macerated with virgin coconut oil (VCO) for 7 days. The results of the homogeneity test showed that the lip balm preparation was homogeneous with a pH of 5.07–7.30 which met SNI 16-4399-1996. The lip balm formulation obtained a spreadability of 3.23–3.53 cm and an adhesive strength of more than 10 seconds which indicated that the results had met the test requirements. However, the melting point test did not meet the test requirements with results of 47°C–48.5°C. In the stability test, there was no change in color, texture, aroma, and form of the preparation during the 28-day storage period with two temperature conditions of 25°C and 40°C. The conclusion of the results of this study shows that the formulation of cucumber fruit extract-based lip balm preparations meets the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for lip balm preparations, both in terms of organoleptics, homogeneity, pH, and stability. However, the evaluation results show that the melting point of the preparation is still below the expected range, so it is necessary to optimize the composition of ingredients or manufacturing methods in future studies to increase the overall melting point.

Abstract

Kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai bahan kimia berbahaya dalam kosmetika dan pemilihan produk yang tepat sering kali menyebabkan gangguan pada kulit. Di sisi lain, pandemi COVID-19 menekankan pentingnya kebersihan diri, termasuk penggunaan hand sanitizer. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi tentang keamanan kosmetika dan praktik kebersihan kepada warga di Kelurahan Jatinegara Kaum, Jakarta Timur, dan Jakasampurna, Bekasi Barat. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui penyuluhan, pembagian buku saku, serta pelatihan daring menggunakan aplikasi Zoom. Peserta juga diajarkan cara membuat hand sanitizer berbahan alami seperti daun sirih dan lidah buaya. Meskipun terdapat keterbatasan teknis selama sesi daring, program ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang penggunaan kosmetika yang aman dan pentingnya menjaga kebersihan diri. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa ibu-ibu PKK dan remaja putri menjadi lebih bijak dalam memilih kosmetik serta memiliki keterampilan dalam membuat dan menggunakan hand sanitizer. Program ini berkontribusi dalam peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat melalui edukasi preventif dan pengembangan keterampilan praktis dalam penggunaan produk yang aman.

Abstract

Having healthy and soft hair is everyone's dream that must be maintained and cared for. For a long time, Indonesian women have been known for their treatments with natural ingredients. The wealth of Indonesia's natural resources is very diverse. The empowerment of women in the economic sector is one indicator of increasing welfare. Women also have a big share in poverty reduction activities through community and group empowerment by carrying out household productive business activities. The problem with partners in this community service program is that the activities are not optimal, because of the members' limited ability and knowledge, and partners do not know how to treat hair using traditional ingredients such as hundred hairs. The implementation method in this training is 1) Field observation, 2) Identification of partner problems and weaknesses, 3) Offering solutions to partners, 4) Product implementation. Implementation is done online by providing knowledge and demonstration of material through video shows. The results of community service activities include several components such as the number of participants, goal achievement, material achievement, material mastery and video quality is very good. In addition, participants are ready to be involved again in similar activities. This partner coaching activity is expected to complement the knowledge and skills in various aspects of family life, as well as meet the needs so as to strengthen the family economy. Abstrak Memiliki rambut yang sehat dan lembut merupakan impian semua orang yang harus dijaga dan dirawat. Sejak dahulu, wanita Indonesia sudah terkenal dengan perawatan dengan bahan yang alami. Kekayaan sumber daya alam Indonesia sangatlah beragam. Keberdayaan perempuan di bidang ekonomi adalah salah satu indikator meningkatnya kesejahteraan. Perempuan juga mempunyai andil besar dalam kegiatan penanggulangan kemiskinan melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat dan kelompok dengan melakukan kegiatan usaha produktif rumah tangga. Permasalahan mitra pada program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah kegiatan belum optimal, karena keterbatasan kemampuan & keilmuan anggota, juga mitra belum mengetahui perawatan rambut menggunakan bahan tradisional seperti ratus rambut. Metode pelaksanaan dalam pelatihan ini ialah 1) Observasi lapangan, 2) Identifikasi permasalahan dan kelemahan mitra, 3) Penawaran solusi pada mitra, 4) Implementasi produk. Pelaksanaan dilalukan secara daring dengan pemberian pengetahuan dan demonstrasi materi melalui tayangan video. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat mencakup beberpa komponen seperti jumlah peserta, ketercapaian tujuan, ketercapaian materi, penguasaan materi serta kualitas video sangatlah baik. Selain itu juga peserta siap terlibat kembali dalam kegiatan serupa. Kegitan pembinaan mitra ini diharapkan dapat melengkapi wawasan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam berbagai segi kehidupan keluarga, juga memenuhi kebutuhan sehingga memperkuat perkonomian keluarga.

Abstract

The species Garcinia Latissima Miq. is native to Southeast Asia's tropical rain forests, primarily in Papua and Maluku. This plant is well-known for its thick-skinned fruit, used as a spice in traditional recipes. Garcinia Latissima Miq is also used in traditional medicine. Its use as a traditional medicine is because Garcinia Latissima Miq. has long been recognized as a source of phenolic compounds, and earlier research has shown that the chemicals extracted have biological activity as antioxidants, antibacterials, and antimicrobials. This study aimed to gather adequate information on the Garcinia Latissima Miq. plant's potential for usage as a cosmetic or skincare ingredient. A literature review was done in this study to obtain data from prior investigations. According to the findings of this investigation, the Garcinia Latissima Miq. plant possesses anti-elastase, which helps maintain skin elasticity, and contains flavonoids that inhibit tyrosinase in melanogenesis. Garcinia Latissima Miq. plant has the potential to maintain skin elasticity and brightness.
