Abstract

ABSTRACT Hospitalization in young children can induce anxiety, potentially impacting emotional development. Puzzle play therapy may offer a non-pharmacological approach to alleviate hospital-related anxiety. To evaluate the effectiveness of puzzle play therapy in reducing anxiety among hospitalized preschool children. A pre-experimental design using one-group pretest-posttest was conducted in the pediatric ward of RSU Pekerja Jakarta Utara. Thirty-two children aged 3–6 years were recruited. Anxiety levels were assessed using a modified version of the SCAS scale. Data analysis utilized the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The mean anxiety score significantly decreased from 25.28 pre-intervention to 19.19 post-intervention (p < 0.001), indicating a positive effect of the therapy. Conclusion: Puzzle play therapy effectively reduces anxiety in hospitalized preschool-aged children and can be integrated into pediatric nursing care. Keywords: Play Therapy, Puzzle, Anxiety, Preschool, Hospitalization  ABSTRAK Hospitalisasi dapat menjadi pengalaman traumatis bagi anak usia prasekolah yang sedang mengalami proses adaptasi perkembangan emosional.

Abstract

Background: Anemia in pregnancy is a global health issue with a prevalence of 48.9% in Indonesia (Riskesdas, 2018). This condition is influenced by iron deficiency (50% of cases), dietary patterns, and socioeconomic factors. Previous studies indicate a correlation between maternal knowledge and anemia incidence, yet research in the Puskesmas Nagrak area remains limited. Objective: To identify the relationship between pregnant women's knowledge and anemia incidence in the working area of Puskesmas Nagrak. Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional study involving 70 pregnant women in trimesters 1-3. Data were collected using Guttman-scale questionnaires and secondary data from maternal health records. Chi-Square test (a=0.05) was used for analysis. Results: 52.9% of respondents had anemia (Hb<11 g/dL). Women with low knowledge (38.6%) showed the highest anemia risk (p<0.000). Education level (57.1% junior high graduates) and occupation (92.9% housewives) significantly contributed. Conclusion: Knowledge level significantly affects anemia incidence. Community-based health education interventions are recommended to improve immunization coverage and Fe tablet consumption.

Abstract

As part of the Sleman Millennial Farmers Group, Vigaza Farm SME has great potential in developing quail farming products. However, this business is still hampered by issues related to brand identity management, packaging design quality, and suboptimal digital marketing strategies, which have implications for low sales value and competitiveness. Through community service activities, this program focuses on enhancing branding and digital marketing capabilities for the managers of Vigaza Farm. The training was conducted on June 21, 2025, at Building 2 of Amikom University Yogyakarta, attended by 10 participants comprising owners, staff, and internal members. The implementation methods included socialization, training, technology application, as well as mentoring and evaluation. The materials covered basic branding concepts, visual identity creation (logo, brand colors, typography), packaging design development, and an introduction to simple digital marketing strategies. Evaluation results showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding. Before the training, 75% of participants were in the “understand” category (score 4) and 25% in the “very understand” category (score 5). After the training, 75% of participants were in the very knowledgeable category (score 5) and 25% in the knowledgeable category (score 4). This activity produced two ready-to-use packaging designs, namely “Sambal Telur Puyuh Kencana” and “Puyuh Kencana Frozen,” which met branding principles and were suitable for promotion. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of the training in enhancing branding and digital marketing skills, although further guidance is still needed for optimizing online promotions.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension in pregnancy is a major cause of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality, contributing to 14% of global maternal deaths. In Indonesia, it is the second leading cause of maternal mortality. Knowledge is an important determinant of health behavior, yet its link to pregnancy-induced hypertension remains underexplored in Sukabumi. Objective: To analyze the relationship between pregnant women’s knowledge and the incidence of hypertension in pregnancy. Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted with 44 pregnant women diagnosed with hypertension in the Amarylis Room, Bhakti Medicare Hospital, Sukabumi (November–December 2024). Data were collected using a validated 15-item questionnaire. Knowledge level (good, sufficient, poor) and hypertension severity (mild, severe) were analyzed with the chi-square test (p < 0.05). Results: Most respondents had poor knowledge (45.5%) and severe hypertension (52.3%). Chi-square analysis showed a significant relationship between knowledge and hypertension incidence (p = 0.002). Severe hypertension was more frequent among women with poor knowledge (36.4%) compared to those with good knowledge (2.3%). Conclusion: Maternal knowledge significantly influences the incidence of hypertension in pregnancy. Educational interventions are urgently needed to reduce risks and improve maternal health outcomes.

Abstract

Background: Adherence to blood-boosting tablet consumption among adolescent girls is vital for preventing anemia and maintaining optimal hemoglobin levels to support overall health. Objective: This study aimed to examine the relationship between adherence to blood-boosting tablet consumption and anemia incidence among adolescent girls. Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted among 36 randomly selected grade VII students at SMPN 16 Sukabumi City, using the MMAS-8 questionnaire for adherence and the Homovue tool for hemoglobin measurement, analyzed with the Kendall tau test. Results: The findings revealed a significant relationship between adherence and anemia incidence, with a p-value of 0.002 (<0.05). Students with low adherence showed a higher prevalence of anemia, while those with moderate to high adherence maintained normal hemoglobin levels. The results also indicated that knowledge, motivation, and family support influenced adherence behavior. These findings confirm that consistent consumption of blood-boosting tablets effectively reduces anemia risk among adolescents. Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between adherence to blood-boosting tablet intake and anemia prevention, highlighting the importance of continuous education, motivation, and parental involvement to improve adolescent health outcomes.
