Abstract

This research of background is the important of mathematics concept comprehension student’s, and the unusually of student’s discuss with their friend. This research to determine how indicator of student’s concept comprehension about student’s mathematics concept by using active learning strategy type The Learning Cell, to determine  what is mathematics concept comprehension of student’s by using active learning strategy type The Learning Cell better than student’s mathematics concept comprehension using conventional. The kind of this research is experiment, by using random sampling research. The formulation is all of IX SMPN 1 Batang Kapas and the sample is IX.5 as experiment class and IX.4 as control class. The instrument that is used in this research are quiz and test. The function of quiz is to see the development of student’s mathematics concept comprehension indicator an the test used to see mathematics concept comprehension that consist of seven items in essay form with reability 0,98. Based on the quantitative analysis that is done on normality test by using MINITAB’S program we can get p-value 0,713 for experiment class and p-value 0,909 for control class, soo the hypothesis using t test by significant 0,05. Based on description of data and hypothesis test, can be conclude that the student’s mathematics by using active learning type The Learning Cell is better than student’s mathematics concept comprehension by using conventional learning student’s.

Abstract

The background of this research was students’ mathematic understanding which was still low. The purposes of this research were: 1) is students’ mathematic concept understanding through Genius Learning strategy by using Power Point better than a conventional Strategy that is applied to Eight Grade Students in MTSN Durian tarung in year 2012/2013. 2) To find out students’ motivation before and after being treated through genius learning by using Power Point. This research is an Experimental Research with random arrangement toward the subject of this research. The research population is all Eight Grade students which consist of five classes and the sample of the research is VIII2 AS experimental class and VIII1 as control class. The instruments used in this research are 1) motivation questionnaire 2) essay posttest with test reliability 0,708. MINITAB software used in this research to get the T-value = 2,76, it means better that ttabel = 1,645. In result, the hypothesis is accepted. In conclusion, Genius Learning strategy by using Power Point is better than a conventional strategy toward students’ mathematic concept understanding through that is applied to Eight Grade Students in MTSN Durian Tarung and students’ motivation increased.

Abstract

Background of this research was students understanding of mathematical concept and students rarely make a summary of the materai provide by the teacher. Study was to examine students understanding of mathematical concept using a model of cooperative script with handout is better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts using conventional learning ". This type of research is experimental research, wich used subject random. The population in this study were students of class VIII SMP 2 Basa Ampek Balai Tapan in the Academic Year 2013/2014. The result of hypothesis test was accept  = 0.045 < α = 0.05, so hypothesis was accepted. It can be concluded that understanding of mathematical concepts in aplliying cooperative Script with Handout better than the understanding of mathematical concept students in conventional learning.

Abstract

This research based on isconceptual mathematic students’ comprehension which still low. One way to increase the conceptual mathematic student by using GivingQuestionsand Getting Answer (GQGA) strategy. This research was done to know how student activity in applying GivingQuestionsand Getting Answer (GQGA) strategy in mathematic learning and the influenceof applying GivingQuestionsand Getting Answer (GQGA) strategy on conceptual mathematic students comprehension. This research use experimental research, which used subject random. The instrument which is used in this research was final test in essay formed with test reability r11 = 0,88. The technique of data analysis was t-test straightly. The result of hypothesis test was receivedα = 0,05  and hypothesis tests was, so hypothesis was accepted. It can be concluded that the comprehension of conceptual mathematic student in applying GivingQuestionsand Getting Answer (GQGA) strategy is better than comprehension of conceptual student in conventional learning.

Abstract

This research was made because of the lack of students’ experience in discussing so that they find difficulty in sharing opinion and ideas with their friends. It makes the students lack of mathematics comprehension concept that is seen in the VIII of students SMPN 13 Padang on 2012/2013. This research is aimed to determine students’ mathematics comprehension that applies cooperative of learning Technigue Berkirim Salam Model dan Soal that is followed by quiz is better than the comprehension of students’ mathematic concept that applies conventional learning in the VIII grade of SMPN 13 Padang. This research is an experimental research which is designed randomized to the subjects. The population of this research is SMPN 13 Padang students at the VIII  grade on 2012/2013 learning period that consists of seven classes. The sample was taken by randomly, Where VIII5 as the experimental class and VIII6 as the controlling class. The instruments that are used in this research are quiz and the com­prehension of mathematics concept test. The test that is used is a kind of an essay with reliabili­ties is 0,88. The data analysis technique is t crucible with one section. Based on the analysis data, it is known that the two samples distribute normally and homogeneous in α = 0,05. The result of this hypothesis is     P-value = 0,000 was less than  so that this hypothesis can be accepted. It can be concluded that stu­dents’ mathemat­ics comprehension that applies cooperative of learning Technigue Berkirim Salam dan Soal that is followed by quiz is better than conventional applying learning in the VIII grade of SMPN 13 Padang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research of background was the lack  of students want to asked some questions and understanding mathematical concept still low, It can be seen at result of student mathematics at eight grade of SMPN 2 Lembah Melintang. This research purpose was to determined whether students’ understanding of mathematical concept by applied active learning strategy Questions Students Have type better at SMPN 2 Lembah Melintang. This was an experimental research and applied random research toward the subject. Population was students at eight grade of SMPN 2 Lembah Melintang. Technique of data colection was random, VIII4 as experimental class and VIII3 as control class. The instrumentation was final test and used essay form with reliability r11=0,84. Technique of data analyse used t –test. Based on the data analised,  means of experimental was 74,81 higher than control 63,15. From the hypothesis testing got t-calculated 2,134 and t-table 1,664 because t-alculated higher than t-table so, research hypothesis was accepted. It concluded that understanding of mathematical concept by applied active learning strategy Questions Students Have type better than the understanding of mathematical concept by applied conventional learning at SMPN 2 Lembah Melintang at trust level 95%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The background of this research is the comprehension of the students’ mathematical concept that are still low. Not only that, but also the process of learning is still contred to the teacher it self. The purpose of this research  is to know about comprehension of the students’ mathematical concept by applaying Market technique toward comprehension of mathematical concept is better than students’ conventional learning at the eight grade SMPN 1 Sipora Kabupaten kep.Mentawai. The kind of this research is experiment reserch. The population of this research is the eighth grade students of SMPN 1 Sipora Kep. Mentawai who registered in 2012/2013 academic year. The sample classes that choosen are two  classes, where VIII.1class as class experimental class and the VIII.2 is control class. The instrument of this research is the concept comprehension test in essay that has reliability 0,8883. Based on the data analysis, mean of  experimental class was 80,61 and class control was 71,03. can  concluded that the comprehension of the students’ mathematical concept by applaying the market technique toward comprehension of  mathematical concept is better than conventional learning at the eight grade SMPN 1 Sipora Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai.

Abstract

ABSTRACT   The background of this research was the lack of students motivation in teaching learning mathematics and result of students mathematics still low. The aim was to determined whether co-operative Talking Stick type toward students comprehension better than comprehension of mathematical concept by applied students conventional learning. This was an experimental research and applied random research toward subject. The population was eight grade of SMPN 15 Padang 2013 / 2014 .VIII.3 as experiment and VIII.2 as control. Instrument in this research was essay.  Based on the data analysis, mean of experimental was 86,50  and control was 73,53, percentage of every indicator experimental higher than control . From the hypotheses testing got t-calculated 2,951 and t-table 1,697 , so t-calculated higher than  t-table. Can concluded that students comprehension of mathematics concept using co-operative Talking Stick type better than conventional learning at the eight grade students of SMPN 15 Padang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The background of this research is about students understanding of mathematical concepts is still low and they prefer copy answers without understand and consider its true. The aims of this research is to know the students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning model pair exchange technigue is better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional learning in VIII grade SMPN 22 Padang. The kind of this research is experimental research by random design towards the subject. The population in this research was students in VIII grade SMPN 22 Padang in school year 2013/2014. The sample Class were chosen is VIII.8 class as experimental class and VIII.6 class as control class . The instrument which was used is final test which is essay  from with reliability is  = 0.89. Based on calculations of data analysis using t-test of the side obtained = 2.50 and = 1.67 . So  >  thus it can be concluded that students understanding of mathematical concepts apply cooperative learning model pair exchange technique is better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying conventional learning in VIII SMPN 22 Padang .

Abstract

AbstrakThis research was motivated by the less active students’ in the learning process of mathematics and students understanding of mathematical concepts is still low. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the model to the understanding of mathematical concepts Treffinger students better than students in understanding mathematical concepts with conventional learning, and see the development of student activity in the learning process. This type of research is experimental research design with random on the subject. Population is a eighth grade student SMPN 1 Kubung Kabupaten  Solok. The instrument used in this study is an essay test . Data were analyzed using the test for normality, homogeneity test and t-test. From the statistical result obtained thitung = 1,713 and is larger than the ttabel =1,682 thus reject H0 which means thank H1. So, it can be concluded that the ability of understanding of mathematical concepts that students use the model Treffinger better than conventional learning eighth grade students SMPN 1 Kubung Kabupaten Solok.
