ABSTRACTThis research was background by student understanding of mathematical concept is still low and the students do not have responsiblity in do  the group task. He aim of this research model is to know the understanding of mathematical concepts by applying model study with cooperative type Numbered Heads Together  Accompanied Quiz better than student in understanding mathematical concepts with conventional learning. This research is to design  experimental with random subject. Instrument used in this research is the quiz and final test . Form of tes the used is form of essay with r11 = 0.816. Based on the analysis of data the are development of understanding mathematical concepts. From the test result obtained tcount = 2.031 greater than ttable = 1,682 . So that can be concluded studentsâ  understanding of mathematical concepts apply cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together accompanied by quiz better than understanding of mathematical concepts students applying conventional learning in  the class VIII SMPN 1 Talamau.

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the students understanding of mathematical concepts are still low and the students did not dare to ask and did not want to answer questions from the teacher. This study aimed to determine whether students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning model exchanging greetings and questions technique better understanding of mathematical concepts than students taught with conventional teaching. This research is an experimental study, the research design Against Random subject. The instrument used in this study is the ultimate test of understanding of mathematical concepts.  Based on the results of the analysis of the data found that both classes of normally distributed and homogeneous samples. Hypothesis test results obtained t = 1,86 and is larger than the table = 1,665 thus reject H0 which means thank H1, the hypothesis in this study received and it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning techniques about exchanging greetings and more understanding of mathematical concepts better than students taught by conventional teaching eighth grade students MTsN Talaok shadow.

                                                        ABSTRACT               This research was based on opinions of the students that mathematical was a difficult, boring lesson. This was supported by the fact that their understanding of mathematical concept was still low. The purpose of the research was to study whether students understanding of  mathematical concept by using Course Review Horay active learning method was better than understanding of mathematical concept by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. The instrument of the research was an essay posttest whose reliability was 0,83. Based on the result of hypothesis testing, it is found that tcount is 1,85 and ttable is 1,645,  so tcount > ttable  then the hypothesis is accepted. It can be conclude that the students understanding of mathematical concept by using Course Review Horay active learning method was better than understanding of mathematical concept by using conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 18 Padang.

ABSTRACT  This research was aimed at revealing whether the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Index Card Match active learning strategy was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. The population of the research was all of students in class VIII of SMPN 17 Padang registered in Academic Year 2013/2014. The data of the research was analyzed by using t-test. The result of t-test indicated that the value of tcalculated was bigger than ttable on the level of significance α=0,05. Based on the result of data analysis, H0 was rejected signifying that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Index Card Match active learning strategy was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 17 Padang.

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted for the studentsâ low understanding on mathematics and low cooperative between them in comprehend the material given by the teacher .This research was aimed at revealing whether the use type of cooperative learning Student Team Achievement Division ( STAD ) on the students comprehension of  mathematical concept than the conventional learning in class VII of SMPN 1 Pagai Utara Selatan. This research is an experimental study . This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. Hypothesis test results obtained tcalculated = 2.07 and ttable= 1.669,  indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. So, it was concluded that the application of  Student Team Achievement Division ( STAD ) could improve the students comprehension of  mathematical concept better than the conventional learning SMPN 1 Pagai Utara Selatan with 95% confidence level . ABSTRACTThis research was conducted due to the studentsâ less confidence to express ideas, inability to work in a group and low understanding on mathematics concepts. The aim of the research was to reveal whether the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by Numbered Heads technique cooperative learning model was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. The population of the research was the students in class VIII of SMPN 2 Hiliran Gumanti. By using random sampling technique. The instrument of the research was a post-test. Based on the result of data analysis, it was found that the value of tcalculated  was bigger than ttable. ABSTRACTThe research was conducted based on the fact which indicated the students low motivation to rehearse the learning material which emerged the students difficulties to do the mathematical questions. The purpose of this research was to know whether the students treated by college ball strategy have better comprehension of mathematical concept than those who are treated by conventional strategy. This was an experimental research which used random sampling. The population was the VIII grade students of MTSN Talaok Bayang. The VIII.5 was the experimental class while the VIII.3 class was the control class. The instrument was final test. The hypotheses was tested by one tailed test. It was found that t-obtained > t-table. ABSTRACTThis research was background by the students respond to questions given teachers and less motivated to ask the teacher. The research hypothesis is that students understanding of mathematical concepts apply Active Learning Strategies Giving Type Questions and Getting Answers Accompanied Handout better understanding of the mathematical concepts that students applying conventional learning. This research is to design experimental with Random subject. Instrument used is in the form of an essay test to test the reliability of  R11 = 0.92. Based on the analysis of data known to both classes of normally distributed samples, homogeneous and tcount = 1.71 is greater than ttable = 1.67 then the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts that use Type Active Learning Strategies Giving and Getting Answers Questions Accompanied Handout than better understanding of the mathematical concepts students to apply classroom learning conventional in the class VIII SMP N 5 Sawahlunto.

ABSTRACTThe background of this research is  students comprehension of mathematical concepts is low and the lack of cooperation of students with other students. The aims of this study is to determine whether students comprehension of mathematical concepts by using cooperative learning Make a Match a better comprehension of mathematical concepts than students using the conventional teaching high school students of class XI Science Adabiah Padang Academic Year 2013/2014. Experimental research is type of this research, with a random design on the subject. Sampling was done randomly, which was selected as the experimental class is a class XI IPA2 and class XI IPA1 as the control class. The research instrument is the final test of learning that contains an indicator of comprehension the concept of the reliability of the test is  = 0.93. Based on the analysis of data got by the average value of the experimental class higher than the control class. Hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney  test. From the calculation of z ⤠-1.9158 has a probability under H0 of p = 0.0274; because it is smaller than α = 0.05, reject H0 and accept H1 , so  the hypothesis is accepted. Based on the hypothesis test results concluded that the students comprehension of mathematical concepts that apply cooperative learning Make a Match a better than comprehension of mathematical concepts than students with applying conventional learning.

Based on the result of data analysis  by using t-test of the side, it was found that the value of = 2.33 was higher than = 1.67 indicating that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by applying cooperative learning model sending greeting  technique  and question was better than that of students taught by applying conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 35 Padang
