Abstract

 ABSTRACTComprehension of  mathematical concept of students in class VIII of SMPN 33 that still low. This is why students do not like learning mathematical. One way that is used to overcome this problems is type of active learning  strategies Bingo Review. This research was aimed at revealing whether the use type of active learning strategies Bingo Review  could give a better effect on the students comprehension of  mathematical concept than the conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 33 Padang. This was an experimental research which used random research design toward the subject. The instrument used in this research is a test in students comprehension of  mathematical concept. Based on the result of data analysis, it was revealed that the sample was distributed normally and homogeny variant. Hypothesis test results obtained tcount = 2.47 and ttable = 1.664,  indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. So, it was concluded that the application of  Bingo Review strategies could improve the students comprehension of  mathematical concept better than the conventional learning

Abstract

The cause of students’ low achievement in mathematic in teaching learningprocess is because the teaching method is not varied. Thus, this research is aimed tofind out: Are students’ communication mathematic using cooperative learning-STAD better than those who use conventional strategy. The population was studentsof 2009A and 2009E of STKIP PGRI west Sumatera in 2010/2011 academic yearwho was taken simple differential equations and the sample was purposive samplingtechnique. The instrument was post test which was analyzed using U Mann-Whitneytest. The data analysis shows that: Students who use cooperative learning-STADhave better competence on mathematic communication than those who useconventional strategy.

Abstract

Mata kuliah Persamaan Diferensial Biasa (PDB) merupakan kelompok mata kuliah keahlian berkarya (MKB) pada Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat dengan bobot3 SKS. Untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang telah dirumuskan, diperlukan suatu bahan ajar yang dapat mengkover permasalahan-permasalahan yang muncul terkait dengan keterbatasan sumber belajaryang tersedia. Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM) merupakan salah satu bentuk bahan ajar yang dapat digunakan dalam perkuliahan PDB.  Pengembangan LKM  berbasis  Problem Based  Learning  (PBL) memberi peluang kepada mahasiswa untuk terampil dalam memahami konsep melalui masalah-masalah yang disediakan. Oleh karena itu, CD interaktif dapat digunakan untuk membuat konsep abstrak menjadikongkrit melalui visualisasi statis maupun animasi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan. LKMdan CD interaktif dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model 4D (define, design, develop, dan desseminate). Pada  tahap  ini  dilakukan langkah-langkah seperti analisis silabus, analisis buku teks, analisis literatur, analisis karakteristik mahasiswa dan wawancara dengan teman sejawat. Hasil pada tahap define menjadi acuan dalam merancang produk berupa LKM berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan CD interaktif

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect to the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to the mathematical problem solving ability of students of the sixth grade of MIPA SMAN 1 Six Lingkung. This type of research is PreExperimental Design, with research design that is Pre-test and Post-test Group.The population in this study were all students of class XI MIPA SMAN 1 Six Lingkung, which consisted of six classes.The sampling technique in this study used random sampling,with the sample of there search being the students of Class XI MIPA 6. The instruments used in this study were the Pre-test and Post-test given before and after applying Problem Based Learning (PBL). The analysis technique used is the t-test. The calculation results obtained by the value of t_count=4.99 with N=35, significant figure =0.05 and t_table=1,69, because t_count is greater than t_table then reject H_0. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to the mathematical problem solving ability of students of class XI MIPA SMAN 1 Six Lingkung.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Practice Rehearsal Pairs lebih baik daripada hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional dan bagaimanakah perkembangan aktivitas belajar siswa dengan menggunakan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Practice Rehearsal Pairs di kelas VIII SMPN 9 Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan random terhadap subjek. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII dengan kelas eksperimen yaitu VIII.3 dan kelas kontrol yaitu VIII.5. Tes hasil belajar matematika dengan reliabilitas tes adalah r11=0,07. Hasil analisis aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan yaitu 57% sampai 84%. Hasil dari uji hipotesis diperoleh t hitung=0,83 dan t tabel=1,67 maka hipotesis ditolak. Jadi hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Practice Rehearsal Pairs sama dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional di kelas VIII SMPN 9 Padang dan perkembangan aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan matematis mahasiswa yang menggunakan model jigsaw disertai penilaian diskusi dengan tanpa penilaian diskusi dan perkuliahan konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode true eksperiment dengan randomized control-group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah Aljabar Linier Elementer. Sampel sebanyak tiga kelas dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Data yang diperoleh dengan teknik tes (awal dan akhir), sedang analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skor gain rata-rata. Sebelum data dianalisis terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji persyaratan, yaitu berupa uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan kesamaan kompeetnsi awal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan matematis mahasiswa yang menggunakan model jigsaw disertai penilaian diskusi dengan tanpa penilaian diskusi dan perkuliahan konvensional. Kata Kunci: penilaian diskusi, model jigsaw, kemampuan matematis THE EFFECTIVENESS OF JIGSAW MODELS WITH ASSESSMENT OF DISCUSSION TO IMPROVE MATHEMATICAL ABILITY OF STUDENT Abstract: This research aims to determine of differences in improvement of student mathematical ability who use the jigsaw model accompanied with discussion assessment to without discussion assessment and conventional learning. The research method used true approach experiment with randomized control-group pretest-posttest design. The study population were students who take courses Elementary Linear Algebra. The data obtained were analyzed by using gain score. The results showed that there are differences in improvement of student mathematical ability who use the jigsaw model with discussion assessment to without discussion assessment and conventional learning. Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika merupakan salah satu kompetensi yang sangat penting untuk dikuasai siswa. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis salah satunya adalah minat belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah ditinjau dari minat belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian dipilih secara purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian yang dipilih adalah kelas XI AKL-2 SMK Negeri 1 Enam Lingkung tahun pelajaran 2021/2022. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data yaitu soal tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, angket minat belajar, dan pedoman wawancara. Soal tes pemecahan masalah dianalisis berdasarkan pengkategorian kemampuan pemecahan masalah tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Angket minat belajar dianalisis berdasarkan kriteria pengelompokkan minat belajar tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Dari hasil penelitian, diperoleh siswa dengan minat belajar tinggi memiliki kemampuan pemecahan tinggi sebanyak 10,53%. Siswa dengan minat belajar sedang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah tinggi sebanyak 21,05%. Siswa dengan minat belajar sedang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah sedang sebanyak 42,10%. Siswa dengan minat belajar sedang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah rendah sebanyak 15,79%. Siswa dengan minat belajar rendah memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah rendah sebanyak 10,53%.Math problem-solving skills are one of the competencies that are very important for students to master. Factors that affect mathematical problem-solving ability one of them is the student's learning interest. This research was conducted to analyze problem-solving skills reviewed from students' learning interests in math learning. This research uses descriptive methods with quantitative approaches. The study subjects were selected by purposive sampling. The selected research subjects were class XI AKL-2 SMK Negeri 1 Enam Lingkung school year 2021/2022. The instruments used to collect data are problem-solving skills tests, learning interest questionnaires, and interview guidelines. Problem solving tests are analyzed based on categorizing high, medium, and low problem-solving capabilities. Learning interest questionnaires are analyzed based on the criteria of grouping high, medium, and low learning interests. From the results of the study, students with a high interest in learning have high solving ability as much as 10.53%. Students with a moderate interest in learning have a high problem-solving ability of 21.05%. Students with a moderate interest in learning have a moderate problem-solving ability of 42.10%. Students with a moderate interest in learning have a low problem-solving ability of 15.79%. Students with low interest in learning have a low problem-solving ability of 10.53%.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes and learning motivation of grade VIII students of SMPN 1 IV Jurai, Pesisir Selatan Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the application of the Teams Games Tournaments learning model on mathematics learning outcomes and motivation of grade VIII students of SMPN 1 IV Jurai, Pesisir Selatan Regency. The type of research used in this study is experimental research with research design is post-test only control group design. The population of this study was all grade VIII students of SMPN 1 IV Jurai, South Coast District. The sampling technique used in this study was random sampling so that class VIII4 was selected as an experiment class with twenty-one students and class VIII1 as a control class with twenty-two students. The instruments used are learning outcomes tests and student learning motivation questionnaires.
