Abstract

Introduction: Many behaviors are carried out by FSW in preventing HIV/AIDS, namely not using condoms, taking antibiotics to prevent HIV disease, washing the vagina with toothpaste, squatting after having sexual intercourse with customers, drinking herbal/special ingredients to clean vital areas. Lack of knowledge and economic factors are one of the factors causing the emergence of HIV/AIDS. Purpose: this study aims to determine HIV/AIDS prevention behavior among female sex workers with physical disabilities. Method: Literature Review with the PRISMA approach. Literature search using electronic database such as PubMed, Google Scholar and Science Direct. Literature review was conducted on international journals published in the last 5 years, available in full text. Results: A total of 3.112.416 articles were identified. Fifteen articles that have been analyzed the results show that the knowledge of FSW about STIs and HIV/AIDS has sufficient knowledge and low education, are in the age range of 26-35 years, but in FSW with disabilities there is still stigma and discrimination and sexual violence, workers with disabilities experience stigma and discrimination in the workplace, online-based education using HIV/AIDS prevention videos for people with speech impairments is effective in increasing the knowledge and attitudes of people with speech impairments in preventing risky behavior, people with disabilities are affected by poverty, which includes lack of access to education, health and income so that women with disabilities are at higher risk of being exposed to HIV. Discussion: The vulnerability of female sex workers with physical disabilities will increase the number of HIV/AIDS cases. The gap between women sex workers and physical disabilities requires advocacy at local and national levels to support health service improvements. Conclusion: persons with disabilities are diverse and their HIV risk varies from individual sexual behavior to contextual factors such as poverty, lack of access to health and education, and experiences of violence.

Abstract

Background: Patient safety is a top priority in hospital health care today, and the role of nurses in preventing and reducing risks, errors, and injuries is a top priority. Nurses are required to have various abilities that must be mastered in providing nursing care to patients. This study aims to identify factors that affect the ability of nurses to identify clinical risks. Method: A literature review that uses the PRISMA protocol in selecting articles and the Critical Appraisal Checklist in assessing article quality. Three databases are used to search articles with selected keywords from Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) combined with the Boolean operator Results: 10 selected articles in this study were further studied with relevant topics, and the results of the literature review stated that two main factors could influence the ability of nurses to identify clinical risks, including intrinsic factors and extrinsic factors. Intrinsic factors come from within the nurse such as knowledge and competence, psychological pressure, and experience of the nurse, while the extrinsic factors found include effective communication, teamwork, organizational support, leadership style, and work environment. Conclusions: the researchers concluded that the main factor that can affect the ability of nurses to identify clinical risks is effective communication.

Abstract

The patient is the focus of nursing care, so interpersonal relationships between nurses and patients are needed. Caring behavior can create harmonious interpersonal relationships between nurses and patients. Nurses' caring behaviors are friendly and they always empathize with patients and their families. The study aimed to analyze the relationship between nurse caring behavior and nurse-patient interpersonal relationship in the inpatient room at RSU dr. H. KoesnadiBondowoso. The correlation method used was cross-sectional. The sampling technique applied total sampling with 104 nurses in the inpatient room. This study was analyzed using Kendall's tau-b because the two variables had ordinal scales. The results of Kendall's tau-b test showed that p-value = 0.025 (p less than 0.05) with a correlation coefficient of 0.221, which meant that the correlation of the two variables was positive as the strength of the relationship was weak. Nurses with caring behavior were 56 respondents (53.8%), and nurses with good nurse-patient interpersonal relationship quality were 62 (59.6%). This research is expected to be a policy framework for hospital management to improve quality services. Abstrak: Pasien merupakan fokus dari asuhan keperawatan, sehingga hubungan interpersonal yang baik antara perawat dengan pasien sangat dibutuhkan. Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic poses significant challenges to the collaborative process between health workers. In handling a pandemic, every health professional must collaborate and coordinate with other professionals to produce safe and quality health services. Interprofessional collaboration is a general strategy to achieve the desired quality results effectively and efficiently in improving health services. This study aims to determine the implementation of nurse-doctor collaboration in inpatient rooms based on the perspective of inpatient nurses. This study used a descriptive research approach through a total sampling technique and as many as 151 inpatient nurses at dr. Soebandi Hospital participated as a respondent. Data was collected using a nurse characteristic questionnaire and NPCS (Nurse-Physician Collaboration Scale). Data were analyzed using descriptive methods and categorized as good and bad collaboration. The results showed that 51.7% of nurses had good interprofessional collaboration, and 48.3% reported bad interprofessional collaboration. The results showed that interprofessional collaboration between nurses and doctors showed almost the same results; nearly half of the nurses' perceptions showed results that still needed to be improved. There is a need to increase interprofessional collaboration in all hospital services. Even though the pandemic is a limitation for direct collaboration, collaboration is further enhanced by using supporting communication media, such as by telephone. Good collaboration between doctors and nurses will improve the quality of health services.
