Abstract

Air kelapa merupakan salah satu bahan sumber daya alam yang melimpah di Indonesia dan masih tidak termanfaatkan secara maksimal. Jumlah hasil air kelapa yang ada di Indonesia dapat mencapai kurang lebih 1 sampai 900 juta liter pertahun. Berdasarkan jumlah ini menggambarkan bahwa kondisi air kelapa yang terbuang menjadi percuma, sehingga air kelapa yang tidak termanfaatkan menjadi limbah organik dan dapat menjadi salah satu polusi asam asetat. Adapun peserta yang terlibat dalam kegiatan pendampingan ini yaitu ibu – ibu PKK (pemberdayaan dan kesejahteraan keluarga) yang terletak di Desa Perapakan Kecamatan Pemangkat. Sampel dalam pendampingan ini berjumlah 10 peserta. Peserta yang tergabung dalam pendampingan ini adalah ibu-ibu rumah tangga yang tergabung dalam kelompok PKK Kegiatan ini berlangsung ke dalam tiga tahapan, diantaranya adalah pendekatan pada pemangku kebijakan/ perizinan, kegiatan pendampingan dan tahapan evaluasi. Pendampingan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman peserta dalam mengelola limbah air kelapa menjadi sebuah produk yang memiliki nilai ekonomi. Untuk pendampingan dilakukan secara langsung kepada ibu-ibu PKK dan sekaligus tanya jawab. Hasil dari kegiatan pendampingan ini terdapat adanya endapan nata de coco, selain itu pula peserta yang telah diberikan pendampingan memiliki kepuasaan terhadap pengolahan limbah dari air kelapa. Nata yang telah jadi endapan dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif usaha dalam skala kecil karena memiliki nilai ekonomi yang tinggi.

Abstract

This descriptive study aims to determine the morphological diversity of Nitrogen-fixing bacteria and Phosphate solubilizing bacteria from various agro-ecosystem environments in Takalar Regency. The research was done from September 2018 to April 2019. Soil samples were taken from dried land, irrigated rice fields, and rice fields of the south Galesong District. Colony morphology was isolated and characterized in the Laboratory of Bio-Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University, and cell morphology was characterized in the Laboratory of Plant Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Brawijaya. The results showed variations in the morphological characteristics of the bacteria. Nitrogen-fixing bacteria isolates in irrigated rice fields were SIT02, PNSIT01, and PNSIT02, while the chili fields were PNTC01, PNTC02, and PNSIT02. Phosphate solubilizing bacteria in irrigated rice fields were SIT01, SIT03, SIT04, and SIT05, the chili fields were TC01 and TC02 isolates, and the dry land was TK01. The characteristics of Nitrogen-fixing bacteria isolates are round to stem, Gram-positive and negative, round to irregular colony shape, convex elevation, glossy surface, flat to choppy margins, and white to yellow. Phosphate-solubilizing bacteria are rod-shaped, gram-positive bacteria with a spherical colony form, convex to flat elevation, glossy surface, flat to wavy edges, and white color.

Abstract

A Fisheries Business License (SIUP) is a mandatory thing that must be owned by fish farming entrepreneurs to have a license to do business and use the fish cultivation production facilities contained in the letter. It is important for every cultivator to know the procedures for obtaining a SIUP so that the business carried out can run well. The problem found is that most farmers do not have a SIUP because they do not know the purpose and benefits of SIUP for the catfish business they are engaged in. The purpose of this community service is to provide knowledge about doing catfish farming businesses that have SIUP. This service was carried out on September 4-5, 2021 at the Pokdakan OI Cere Nggembe Village, Bolo District, Bima Regency using the socialization method and FGD to the OI Cere Pokdakan which consists of 10 members. The result of the service is that the participants have known the procedures for the SIUP application process and the benefits of having a SIUP in running a dumbo catfish farming business.

Abstract

Pineapple fruit is a fruit that has distinctive characteristics ranging from aroma, color and shape. This fruit contains many nutrients that are beneficial to the body including bromyelin, vitamin C and other nutrients. This community service activity aims to improve the community's ability to utilize local food ingredients that have the potential to increase village superior products. The problem faced by Sajad Village is that there are frequent losses because agricultural products from pineapples tend to have lower prices to be sold to the market, besides that this loss also causes the motivation of the farmers to decrease. The preparations made in this activity are pineapple syrup, pineapple jam and shredded pineapple and packaging is done on preparations that have been processed. The method used in this community service is through outreach and training. After the training process was completed, each team evaluated the preparations that had been made and the testers were given the opportunity to give their opinion. Based on the activities that have been carried out, the community in Sajad Village, Sambas Regency, is satisfied and helped by the preparations that have been carried out. Another result that can be seen is that participants begin to understand that pineapple has many derivative preparations that can be utilized and are aware of the advantages of consuming pineapple.

Abstract

Water has a crucial role in human life and ecosystems, especially as a source of life. However, the sustainability of water sources, such as rivers, is threatened by industrial waste pollution, as happened to the Jirak River in Sambas City. This condition is caused by the poor system of Wastewater Sewerage (SPAL) and Wastewater Management Plant (WWTP), as well as the shortage of latrines around the river. In 2014, the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia noted that 75% of rivers in Indonesia experienced heavy pollution, including the Jirak River. One of the main pollutants is mercury (Hg), which can be toxic and harmful to human health. Therefore, it is necessary to make prevention and counseling efforts to the community. The purpose of this counseling is to socialize about the dangers of consuming polluted fish in Jirak Village in the Jirak River area of Sambas Regency, and also provide awareness to the surrounding community to consume fresh fish that can be applied in people's lives in a sustainable manner. The location of this counseling is the Jirak River located in Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan Province. The approach used in this community service activity is to provide socialization and direct communication to mothers in Jirak Village. The socialization participants participated in the activity by actively discussing and experiencing increased knowledge and understanding of the dangers of consuming polluted fish.

Abstract

The social context of contributions can be in the form of donations, gifts, or actions carried out by individuals or institutions to improve the welfare of society. Contribution is seen as a concrete form carried out by individuals or institutions which then has a positive or negative impact on society. The elderly are an age group that has entered the final stages of its life phase, which according to WHO has an age range of 60 years and over. Posyandu for the Elderly also functions as a forum for communication, technology transfer and the provision of health services. The purpose of this activity is to find out the activities carried out at the Lansi Posyandu in Sumber Harapan village. The flow of activities carried out when the elderly posyandu is implemented is first distributing serial numbers randomly and then filling in attendance according to the serial number obtained by each elderly person. After that, call the elderly according to their serial number and ask for their KTP to support filling in their data. First of all, the elderly will have their blood pressure checked, weighed, checked and followed by providing an understanding of their medical history and medication. The activities of the Posyandu for the Elderly in Harapan Village have contributed significantly to improving the health and quality of life of the elderly. This activity involves various health services, including routine health checks, distribution of medicines, as well as increasing knowledge about healthy lifestyles and body care.

Abstract

One of the tourist attractions that attracts the attention of domestic and foreign tourists is the marine beach in Kec. South Java. Looking at the history of this Marine Tourism Beach, it has been around for a long time, this beach is an empty beach and forest that is not managed or developed, since 2019 one of the residents of Jawai Laut Village has taken the initiative to invite local residents to explore this still beautiful beach and form an awareness group. Marine Tourism Beach tourism which has 52 members. The aim of this background is to increase tourist awareness in preserving the marine coastal tourism ecosystem in the Javai Laut village, Javai sub-district. The methods used in the activity include counseling and discussion. Based on outreach activities at the maritime coast of Jawai Laut Village, Kec. This outreach program conveys information regarding tourist awareness in preserving the marine coastal tourism ecosystem in Jawai Laut village, Jawai sub-district the tourists were very enthusiastic in taking part in the outreach that was carried out.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the potential of peat land for the development of plantation crops which describes the potential of the land. This research is located in Sambas District, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan. The number of soil sampling location are 10 sampling points. The initial activity of the program is collection of information about the status of peatland capability followed by a peatland suitability analysis to determine the types of plantation crops that are suitable for development. The data obtained include rainfall, temperature, topography, solum depth, water permeability, drainage conditions, erosion sensitivity, texture, C-Organic Content, Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, CEC and pH. The analysis of the suitability of the actual conditions of the land with the types of plantation crops, namely oil palm and rubber, is highly developed in Sambas sub-district because there are no growth limiting factors. Other plantation commodities that have the potential to be developed but have growth limiting factors (S3) are coconut, cloves, coffee, cocoa, tea, tobacco, cashew, nutmeg and vanilla which have 1 limiting factor, while cotton, melinjo and kapok commodities are categorized as highly inappropriate (N) with the heaviest limiting factor of water availability. The limiting factor of rainfall can be overcome through the creation of basins and drainage channels so that excess water in the land can be anticipated, while the improvement efforts that can be carried out on acid soils are the application of dolomite lime to increase the pH of the soil so that it is in accordance with the requirements of plant growth.

Abstract

The plantation sector is one of the area utilization activities that can significantly contribute to the income of rural communities, both in terms of providing employment and earning potential foreign exchange. These conditions are not supported by digitally integrated regional development information. This study aims to map the potential development of coffee plants in the Sambas sub-district based on the physical properties of the land presented in digital maps. The research was conducted in six villages within the Sambas sub-district administrative area using purposeful sampling. Within every village, three locations were chosen for soil sampling plots, each plot covering an area of 1 ha, and the sampling was done diagonally. The distance between each sampling plot is 5 km. Soil samples from each plot were then analyzed in the soil laboratory. The analysis results were processed using quantum GIS software to generate a digital map of land development potential. The results show a variety of land capability classes (classes II, III, and IV) with their respective limiting factors, namely drainage, flood threat, and soil texture. Land capability class II-d2 consists of locations A1, A2, A5, and A6. Land capability class III-d3O2 is at location A3, and capability class IV-t3.d4.O3 is at location A4.

Abstract

Penerapan Aplikasi Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian, termasuk budidaya tanaman nenas di Kabupaten Sambas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan SIG dalam memetakan produktivitas tanaman nenas dengan fokus pada wilayah di Kabupaten Sambas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan studi kasus di petani nenas sebagai populasi penelitian. Data yang digunakan berupa data sekunder dan dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi SIG. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa penyebaran buah nenas tidak menunjukkan pola penyebaran khusus meskipun ada beberapa populasi pertanian nanas di Kabupaten Sambas yang fokus dalam membidangi hasil pertanian nenas, diantaranya adalah Kecamatan Tebas, Galing, Paloh, Sambas, Tangaran, Selakau Timur, Teluk Keramat, Semparuk, Sajingan Besar, Jawai, Salatiga, Tekarang, Sajad, Subah, Sejangkung, Sebawi. Dari hasil pemetaan produktivitas buah nenas di Kabupaten Sambas menunjukan bahwa produktivitas rata-rata selama 2018-2021, tertinggi terdapat di Kecamatan Selakau, Selakau Timur, Sebawi, Salatiga, Jawai dan Jawai Selatan berkisar pada 7.501 – 10.000 kuital/ha. Sedangkan jumlah produksi rata-rata selama 2018-2021 tertinggi berada pada Kecamatan Tebas dengan jumlah berkisar pada 7.501 – 10.000 kuintal.
