Abstract

Basic literacy skills become a strong foundation for mastering knowledge in the next grade. Basic literacy skills are part of language skills learning which is the basis for improving cultural competency in reading and writing. Experiential learning is a learning method through the formation of students' experiences. The significance of basic literacy being so important has apparently not been able to provide awareness for various parties involved in the world of education to immediately rush to improve mastery of basic literacy. This encouraged researchers to look at and analyze literacy activities in the elementary school environment, using qualitative research methods such as case studies and the main focus of this research was the experiential learning-based basic literacy program carried out at Fathia Islamic Elementary School, Sukabumi City, focused on the lower classes. The data sources for this research are interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the research results, it is divided into planning consisting of adequate human resources and training, supporting facility resources, allocated funding resources. The implementation part consists of habits that prioritize a combination of general and religious learning such as 15-minute reading and murojaah. The development section for each teacher creates media, modules and teaching materials based on creativity related to literacy. The obstacle factors are that not all stakeholders are able to collaborate well in the literacy movement and funding is not yet optimal.

Abstract

Pendidikan dalam hal ini sekolah adalah tempat siswa menemukan dan mengembangkan karakter integritas yang selanjutnya harus berakhlak mulia dan budi pekerti yang baik dan berbudi luhur serta menerapkan nilai-nilai kejujuran. Penggunaan teknologi digital oleh siswa sering kali berpusat pada beberapa jenis kegiatan utama, seperti melatih keterampilan, mencari informasi, dan menghasilkan pekerjaan seperti dokumen atau tayangan slide.Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan karakter jujur pada siswa kela II Alfath SD Islam Fathia, penanaman/ pengembangan nilai karakter jujur selama proses pembelajaran, dan pembiasaan karakter jujur selama siswa berada di lingkungan sekolah. Metode penelitian pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif.. Adapun Teknik pengumpulan datanya yaitu wawancara,observasi dan angket hasil penelitian nya menunjukan bahwa karakter jujur di kelas II Al-fatih SD Islam Fathia nilai-nilai kejujuran yang terdapat pada indikator Dari hasil penelitian melalui pengumpulan data dengan instrument angket diketahui bahwa tingkat kejujuran kelas 2 Al-Fatih SD Islam Fathia di dapatkan hasil yaitu terdapat nilai-nilai kejujuran yang terdapat pada indikator yang telah peneliti amati yaitu dalam menyampaikan sesuatu sesuai dengan keadaan yang sebenarnya responden atau siswa menjawab ya sebanyak 21 responden, artinya sebanyak 81% responden menjawab dengan positif. Indikator kedua mengakui kesalahan diri sendiri responden menjawab ya sebanyak 20 atau 80% responden menjawab dengan positif. Indikator ketiga tidak mencontek menjawab 21 atau 88%. Indicator keempat tidak berbohong menjawab 22 atau 85%. Indicator terakhir tidak memanipulasi situasi dan kondisi sebanyak 24 atau 92%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal's strategy in assessing teacher performance in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SDN Cikaret. The Merdeka Curriculum is the focus of the study because it is a new innovation in the world of education in Indonesia that emphasizes relevant, inclusive, and student-oriented learning. This study uses a qualitative research method. case study approach by collecting data through in-depth interviews, observations, and analysis of related documents. The principal at SDN Cikaret has succeeded in developing a teacher performance assessment strategy that is in accordance with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum. The development of comprehensive and relevant assessment instruments and the implementation of training programs for teachers are integral parts of this strategy. So that the implementation of this performance assessment was successfully carried out on time and the assessment results were good. Overall, this study shows the importance of the role of the principal in developing effective strategies in assessing teacher performance in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum can make a significant contribution to improving the quality of education at SDN Cikaret and supporting the realization of national education goals.

Abstract

This research is based on the lack of creativity in students. Students' creativity still tends to be lacking due to learning that does not provide stimulation for students' creativity. One of the activities that can develop students' creativity is the activity of making collages. Collage making activities allow students to explore and express their imagination to be more creative. This research aims to increase students' creativity with collage making activities. The research method used in this study is classroom action research with the Kemmis and Taggart model which is carried out through four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subject of this study is 24 students in grade IV of SDN Ranji. Data collection techniques are carried out by performance, observation and documentation. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in students' creativity with the activity of making collages as evidenced through performance assessments. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in complete students during the pre-cycle of students or 54.17% of the number of students. Cycles I and II also increased, originally 54.17% increased to 83.33% of the number of students in the class. The percentage of completeness shows that the activity of making collages can increase students' creativity.

Abstract

Abstrak; Motivasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar masih menjadi permasalahan yang menonjol, terutama pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yang kerap dianggap monoton dan kurang menarik. Hasil observasi di SDN 10 Cibadak menunjukkan rendahnya antusiasme siswa serta pengelolaan kelas yang belum optimal. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas pengelolaan kelas berbasis gamifikasi dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar Bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group pada 60 siswa kelas IV, terbagi atas kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket motivasi belajar berskala Likert dengan reliabilitas tinggi (α = 0,931). Analisis data menggunakan uji independent sample t-test setelah memenuhi uji prasyarat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan motivasi belajar antara kedua kelompok (sig. 0,000 < 0,05; t = 10,1) dengan selisih rata-rata 9,70.Abstract; Learning motivation among elementary school students remains a prominent issue, particularly in Indonesian language learning, which is often perceived as monotonous and less engaging. Observations at SDN 10 Cibadak revealed low student enthusiasm and suboptimal classroom management. To address this problem, this study aimed to determine the effectiveness of gamification-based classroom management in improving students’ motivation in learning Indonesian. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design involving 60 fourth-grade students, divided into an experimental class and a control class. The research instrument was a Likert-scale motivation questionnaire with high reliability (α = 0.931). Data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test after fulfilling the normality and homogeneity assumptions. The results showed a significant difference in learning motivation between the two groups (sig. 0.000 < 0.05; t = 10.1) with a mean difference of 9.70.

Abstract

To evaluate the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of a cloning-based Virtual Laboratory in enhancing high school students’ learning motivation. Specifically, this study addresses: (1) the objectives of the research; (2) how the study was conducted; (3) the results obtained; and (4) the novelty of the work. This research employed a Research and Development (R2D2) approach consisting of definition, design–development, and dissemination phases. Media validation involved subject matter experts, instructional design experts, media experts, and biology teachers. Effectiveness was measured using the ARCS questionnaire (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction) and analyzed with a Paired Sample t-test. The media demonstrated very good validity (84.72–97.29%), high readability and practicality (85.20% and 90.69%, respectively), and positive student responses (86.62%). Students’ learning motivation increased significantly across all ARCS dimensions, with an average improvement of 0.77. This study addresses a gap in the application of Virtual Laboratories to the high school cloning topic a complex and abstract area rarely implemented due to limited laboratory facilities. The novelty lies in the development and validation of a cloning-specific Virtual Laboratory combined with motivation measurement using the ARCS model, offering an adaptive and effective solution to bridge the gap between curriculum demands and schools’ laboratory constraints.

Abstract

This paper discusses the effect of the learning model experiental learning based on the Wayang Sukuraga for social skills in elementary schools. The samples are 30 students, which were 15 students in the control class who were not given treatment and 15 students in the experimental class who were given the treatment of experiental learning model. The data used are pre-test and post-test data. The research method used is the experimental method with a quasi-experimental research design with a Non-equivalent control group design. The instruments used are questionnaires and observation sheets. The analysis technique used is hypothesis testing with a simple linear regression test. The hypothesis results indicate that sig was 0.002 and 0.014. The data results are significant < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the experiential learning model based on the Wayang Sukuraga for social skills in elementary schools.

Abstract

This article explains the influence of the Problem-based Learning (PBL) model on the scientific literacy of third-grade students in elementary school. The research method used was a quasiexperimental design with a non-equivalent control group. The respondents of the study involved one teacher and 18 students. Data on students' scientific literacy abilities were obtained from the pretest and posttest, then analyzed by using SPSS 26.0 for the Windows version. After utilizing normality and homogeneity tests, the control and experimental classes were determined to have a regular and homogenous distribution. The hypothesis was tested by using the Independent Sample t-test in the study. The findings indicated a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, which indicates that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It could be described that there was a statistically significant difference in values between the experimental class that utilized the PBL model and the control class that did not use the PBL model. According to the data analysis, the PBL model has an influence on third-grade elementary school students' scientific literacy in the domain of competence or scientific processes. Thus, the authors recommended that teachers may include the PBL model in their classroom instruction.

Abstract

This article covers the discussion about the improvement of students' writing descriptive skills through the Sukuraga puppet as electronic student worksheets media. The method applied was CAR (Classroom Action Research) to improve learning problems in the classroom, especially the description writing skills. The population in the study was carried out for students of class III in SDN Mekarjaya in the academic year 2021/2022, which consisted of 8 students, 4 male and female students. The results of the data indicated that the application of electronic media student worksheets of Sukuraga puppet was able to improve students' descriptive writing skills. It could be seen from the result of the final students’ descriptive writing skill test that the students experienced a significant improvement starting from the pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II that have been discussed. Based on preliminary research data, the student’s average score on the descriptive writing test was 63, which was still lower than the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) score determined at school. Nevertheless, after applying the electronic student worksheets media of Sukuraga puppet in cycle I, the score of the descriptive writing test was 71 then in cycle II, the score was 80. It could be concluded that the use of E-Students Worksheet media could further develop the descriptive writing skills of the third-grade students of elementary school III Mekarjaya.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the Sukuraga puppet story on the student’s character education in elementary schools. This study utilized a quasi-experimental type of quantitative approach. The design used in this research is the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The subjects used in the study were 4 th -grade students of SDN Suryakencana CBM. The data collection tool in this study used a questionnaire using a Likert scale measurement consisting of 20 statements with the answers to statements including Always (SL), Often (SR), Sometimes (KK), Rarely (J), Never (TP). ) based on a checklist (√) on the attitude scale instrument grid. Based on the results of data processing pretest and posttest, with the calculation of the t-test carried out with the help of the IBM SPSS version software 26 with the results of planting character education using the Sukuraga puppet story, it obtained sig (2- tailed) 0.000 which is less than = 0.05. Based on the results from this calculation, it can be concluded that the story of the wayang Sukuraga affected the character education of students.
