Abstract

Biofilm terutama dimiliki oleh bakteri pathogen, dan pengetahuan biofilm bermanfaat sebagai strategi pengobatan. Penelitian terhadap produksi biofilm oleh strain lokal masih jarang dilakukan, termasuk Staphylococcus aureus dikaitkan dengan sifat kekebalan terhadap antibiotik. Penelitian ini  secara in vitro meneliti tentang produksi biofilm oleh Staphylococcus  aureus yang diisolasi dari pasien infeksi saluran kencing  yang menjalani perawatan RSUD Provinsi NTB. Penelitian ini menggunakan lama inkubasi sebagai faktor yang mempengaruhi pembentukan biofilm bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Lama inkubasi yang dilakukan adalah 0, 12, 24, 36 dan 48 jam. Pembentukan biofilm merupakan hasil dari pembacaan menggunakan metode perlekatan biofilm pada microplate reader atau microtitter plate biofilm assay yang selanjutnya akan dilakukan pembacaan optical density dan dilakukan pengujian / analisa data dengan uji one way ANOVA yang dilanjukan dengan uji post hoc TUKEY HSD (œ = 0,05).  Hasil optical density diketahui adanya kenaikan yang juga berarti terjadi kenaikan pembentukan biofilm seiring dengan bertambahnya lama inkubasi. Kesimpulan yang bisa diambil pada penelitian ini adalah bahwa lama inkubasi atau umur biakan mempunyai pengaruh terhadap peningkatan pembentukan biofilm bakteri Staphylococcus aureus secara in vitro.

Abstract

Songgak is a concoction of the Sasak tribe of Lombok in West Nusa Tenggara. It consists of coffee mixed with groundwood, cloves, black pepper, coriander, and nutmeg. The original recipe involves roasting the spices before mixing them with coffee, namely using a frying pan over a stove. The roasting process is carried out without controlling the temperature and roasting time, so the roasted ingredients need to be standardized(Dewi et  al., 2021). GCMS is a tool used to analyze compounds in samples using chemical separation methods, mainly chromatography. The compounds in the mixture are separated in a chromatographic column. The separation mechanism between several compounds occurs due to differences in the solubility values of each in the moving solvent and differences in the absorption of each of the competing compounds into the stationary phase (Gross, 2017). In this research, variations will be carried out on spices, namely T1 original treatment of roasting spices over fire for 8 minutes, T2 drying spices in sunlight, T3 oven for 5 minutes, T5 oven for 5 minutes, T4 oven for 15 minutes and T5 oven for 15 minutes. In the T4 treatment, namely oven for 10 minutes, the results of the analysis of the substance content with the most types, namely 20 types, were obtained. The active anti-microbial compound found in all treatments was Hexadecanoic acid, 2-hydroxy-1-(h)(C19 H38 O4) BM:330, which helps inhibit the growth of cancer cells. (National Library Medicine, n.d.). Octadecanoic acid (CAS) Stear (C18 H34 O2) BM:282 Anti-inflammatory, Antiandrogenic Cancer prevention, Hypocholesterolemia Dermatigenic, 5-Alpha reductase inhibitor, Anemiagenic, Insecticide (Natarajan et al., 2019) and Tetradecanoic acid (CAS) Myris (C14 H28 O2) BM:228 as anti-inflammatory and anti-nociceptive.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is a contagious infectious disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis or often called Acid-Fast Bacteria (AFC). Tuberculosis positive patients must undergo treatment by administering category 1 Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs (ATD) for approximately 6-8 months. Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs (ATD) are divided into two phases, namely the intensive phase and the advanced phase. Consuming Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs (ATD) for a long period of time can cause the drug to become toxic in the body, so that it can affect body organs such as the kidneys and pancreas. The aim of this study was to measure blood glucose levels, measure urine protein levels and analyze blood glucose levels and urine protein levels in tuberculosis sufferers who took Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs (ATD). Using analytical observational research methods with a cross sectional research design . Tuberculosis sufferers are checked for blood glucose and urine protein, first and second collection. The results of research on 24 tuberculosis patients who took Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs (ATD) at the Dasan Tapen Community Health Center, West Lombok showed that the blood glucose levels of tuberculosis patients who took intensive phase ATD, namely of the 14 patients, 9 patients experienced an increase. Meanwhile, in the continuation phase, of the 10 patients, there were 6 patients who experienced improvement. The urine protein levels of tuberculosis sufferers who consumed ATD in the intensive and follow-up phase of the first examination were positive (+1) in 1 sample while negative (-) in 23 samples. In the second examination, 2 samples were positive (+1), while 22 samples were negative (-). The conclusion of this study is that there is no relationship between the first and second examination of random blood glucose levels and random urine protein levels.

Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis is an infectious lung disease caused by Mycobacterium Tuberculosis which can cause several complications, including a decrease in hemoglobin levels, abnormal erythrocyte index values that can cause anemia. Examination of hemoglobin levels and MCV values to determine the type of anemia in tuberculosis patients. There are several types of anemia in tuberculosis patients and causes, one of which is microcytic anemia caused by a decrease in iron. Research Objective: Determine hemoglobin levels and erythrocyte index in patients with new pulmonary tuberculosis at Dasan Tapen Health Center Research Method: This study is observational analytic with Cross Sectional approach, the number of samples is 24 samples using the lomeslow formula with hemoglobin levels and MCV values. The collected data is then analyzed using descriptive tests. Results of the study: From 24 samples of tuberculosis patients as many as 5 people (21%) with a very mild degree of anemia, 16 (67%) people with a mild degree of anemia and 3 people (12%) with a moderate degree of anemia. A total of 18 people (75%) with microcytic type anemia and 6 (25%) people with normocytic type anemia. Conclusion: From 24 samples as many as 18 people (75%) with MCV values of <80 which indicates tuberculosis patients have microcytic anemia.

Abstract

Latar Belakang Latihan berlebihan dapat meningkatkan kadar protein urine, menandakan proteinuria. Permainan sepakbola memerlukan kebugaran fisik yang tinggi, maka pada atlet sepakbola perlu dilakukan skreening funsi ginjal.Protein urine merupakan salah satu parameter fungsi ginjal pada urine.Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan pengamatan hubungan frekuensi latihan terhadap protein urine. Tujuan Penelitian untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar protein urine pada atlet sepakbola yang latihan selama 1 minggu, 2 minggu, 3 minggu, 4 minggu, dan 5 minggu setelah latihan, serta menganalisa gambaran kadar protein urine pada atlet sepakbola tersebut. Metode Penelitian Pada penelitian ini bersifat observasional analitik dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 atlet sepakbola, kadar protein urine pada penelitian ini dipriksa menggunakan metode carik celup. Hasil Penelitian Rata-rata kadar protein urine atlet sepakbola per minggu meningkat dari minggu pertama hingga minggu kelima, dengan nilai tertinggi mencapai 62,67 mg/dL pada minggu terakhir. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa kadar rata-rata protein urine pada atlet sepakbola mengalami peningkatan secara bertahap dari minggu ke minggu, dengan nilai tertinggi mencapai 62,67 mg/dL pada minggu kelima. Analisis terhadap 30 sampel menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas fisik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kadar protein dalam urine (proteinuria), dengan nilai tertinggi 86 mg/dL pada beberapa sampel dan nilai terendah 21 mg/dL pada sampel lainnya.

Abstract

Hyperglycemia has increased arachidonic acid thromboxane which is an effective ingredient in platelet activation. Thrombocytopenia in COVID-19 patients occurs through a variety of mechanisms, such as uncontrolled production of cytokines destroying bone marrow progenitor cells, direct inhibition of hematopoiesis viral infection of the bone marrow, increase in autoantibodies and immune complexes that cause platelet destruction, and lung injury that causes platelet aggregation and consumption of platelets so that platelets in the circulation are reduced. Objectives: To analyzed the ratio of platelet counts in COVID-19-positive patients who had different blood glucose levels. Methods: This research used secondary data, with types of analytical observational research as well as comparative study approaches. Statistical tests were conducted using an independent samples t-test with a confidence level of 95%. Results: The average platelet count was normal, but a low platelet count of 3.30% was obtained with normal blood glucose levels and a high platelet count of 2.20% with normal blood glucose levels, with a significance value of platelet count with normal blood glucose levels of 0.790 and platelet counts with blood glucose levels above normal which is 0.791 with a confidence level of 95%. Conclusion: There was no significant difference between the platelet count in COVID-19 patients with normal and above normal blood glucose levelsKeywords: blood glucose, platelets, COVID-19

Abstract

Desa Jelantik Kecamatan Jonggat Kabupaten Lombok Tengah memiliki kasus penderita penyakit tidak menular sebanyak 4,198% kadar gula darah, asam urat dan kolestrol dari jumlah penduduk dan ketercapaian deteksi penyakit tidak menular masih kurangnya yaitu masih dibawah 22 % dari total jumlah penderita. Penggunakan alat sederhana Point Of Care Tests (POCT) lebih praktis, mudah dibawa dan memungkinkan digunakan pasien untuk self-monitoring. Metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat ialah penyuluhan dan pelatihan pengetahuan kader tentang tentang penyakit tidak. Hasil yang dicapai ialah terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai penyakit tidak menular dan pemeriksaan laboratorium sederhana serta terjadi peningkatan keterampilan penggunaan alat sederhana POCT. Terjadi juga peningkatan ketercapaian pemeriksaan penyakit tidak menular dari 22% menjadi 50%. Saran dari hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini ialah pada kegiatan posyandu keluarga pemeriksaan glukosa/kolesterol dan asam urat dapat dilaksanakan oleh kader posyandu terlatih, sehingga meningkatkan ketercapaian deteksi penyakit tidak menular.

Abstract

Skrining penyakit tidak menular (PTM) seperti hiperurisemia memerlukan partisipasi berbagai pihak. Namun, masyarakat sering enggan melakukan skrining, meski data Puskesmas Tanjung Karang tahun 2021 menunjukkan hiperurisemia sebagai salah satu dari tiga penyakit terbanyak. Masyarakat cenderung mengandalkan obat-obatan untuk terapi gout, meskipun terapi non-farmakologi juga efektif. Penelitian tahun 2021 menunjukkan herbal tradisional Sasak, songgak, dapat menurunkan kadar gula darah pada tikus, dan penelitian 2022 membuktikan efektivitasnya dalam menurunkan kadar asam urat darah tikus. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan mengendalikan kadar asam urat penderita hiperurisemia dengan songgak. Dari 30 peserta, 25 mengalami penurunan kadar asam urat dari rata-rata 8,98 mg/dL menjadi 6,52 mg/dL. Lima peserta tidak melanjutkan konsumsi karena alasan kesehatan. Mahasiswa berperan aktif dalam pelaksanaan dan evaluasi kegiatan, sekaligus mempromosikan songgak sebagai jamu herbal tradisional Lombok, mendukung upaya prioritas Kementerian Kesehatan dalam pengendalian PTM.

Abstract

Background : Laboratory examination for UTI consists of urine culture and dipstick urinalysis consisting of glucose, protein, bilirubin, urobilinogen, erythrocytes, pH, ketones, specific gravity, leukocytes and nitrites. In this study, only protein and urine specific gravity were examined, because one of the causes of proteinuria is post-renal which occurs due to infection in the urinary tract. Meanwhile, for urine specific gravity, patients who are suspected of having a urinary tract infection usually have a high urine specific gravity due to an increase in the number of leukocytes in the urine. UTI can cause a decrease in kidney function due to the risk of infection in the ureters which can cause several complications of kidney disease. Research Objective : To find out whether there is a relationship between the results of urine culture examination and the results of protein and specific gravity of urine as an examination of kidney function in UTI patients. Research Method : This research is an analytical observational research with a cross sectional research design. By examining urine culture and urinalysis using the dipstick method and analyzed using the chi square test. Results of the study : The results of data analysis showed a significant relationship in the positive direction with the strength of the relationship being quite strong between urine culture examination and urine protein results in UTI patients (p 0.030˂0.05). And there is a significant relationship in the positive direction with the strength of the relationship being quite strong between urine culture examination and urine specific gravity results in UTI patients (p 0.021<0.05). Conclusion : There is a significant relationship in the positive direction with the strength of the relationship being quite strong between the results of the protein examination and the urine culture results in UTI patients, as well as the results of the specific gravity examination and the strength of the urine culture results in UTI patients, there is a significant relationship in the positive direction with the strength of the relationship being quite strong.

Abstract

Beberapa bahan dapat digunakan untuk menekan larva nyamuk, diantaranya B. thuringiensis yang merupakan mikroba enthopatogenik yang dapat menjadi biolarvasida untuk menekan larva Anopheles sp. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi B.thuringiensis dari habitat hidup larva Anopheles sp pada tanaman Eceng gondok di Kabupaten Lombok Tengah (Desa Batujai). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif observatif dengan analisa data secara deskriftif untuk menentukan terdapat atau tidaknya B. Thuringiensis  setelah diinokulasi pada media.Pertumbuhan bakteri  setelah dilakukan preparasi sampel pada suhu 80°C selama 10 menit, diinkubasi pada suhu 30°C selama 24 jam. Kemudian di lakukan identifikasi/pemeriksaan sampel secara makroskopik dan mikroskopik di dapatkan hasil B.thuringiensis terdapat pada sampel larva. Hasil dari identifikasi ini memiliki ciri-ciri yang sama dengan B.thuringiensis yaitu bentuk koloni bulat, pinggiran yang rata, warna koloni putih krim,  permukaan koloni datar dan halus serta sifat Gram yaitu basil Gram positif dengan endospora terletak di terminal/subterminal, dengan adanya kristal pada bakteri ini yang menandakan bahwa bakteri B.thuringiensis ini bersifat toksin terhadap larva Anopheles sp. Beedasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan inventarisasi Bacillus thuringiensis terdapat pada sampel Larva Anopheles sp pada tanaman Eceng gondok (Eichornia crassipes) di Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Namun tidak terdapat Bacillus thuringiensis pada sampel tanah.
