Abstract

As women play an important role in shaping the character of a quality generation, women’s empowerment is an investment for a better future. This study aims to; 1) reveal women’s subjectivity in Juliet Mitchell’s feminist psychoanalysis perspective; 2) analyze the role of women’s empowerment reflected to female characters; and 3) explore the dynamics between social structure, culture, and psychology of female characters in the novel Zeina by Nawal El Saadawi This research uses a descriptive-qualitative method. The data source of this research is the novel “Zeina” by Nawal El Saadawi and complemented by theoretical and other references that have relevance. Data collection techniques use translation, reading and note-taking techniques. Data analysis techniques use the Miles and Huberman models. The results of this study show that; 1) the subjectivity of female characters in the novel “Zeina” includes; identity differences, resilience and self-formation, internal and external conflicts, and struggles for emancipation and freedom 2) The role of empowerment reflected in female characters, includes; women becoming entertainers, women becoming magazine leaders, and women becoming literary critics as well as department heads. 3) The dynamics that occur between social, cultural, and psychological structures of female characters are; the influence of trauma in identity formation, identity reconstruction, and identity transformation through trauma healing. This research confirms that women can empower themselves, even in a patriarchal environment. Empowerment through education, employment, and psychological support is important as a foundation for women’s role as agents of change.

Abstract

The Sudan crisis is an important topic that reflects global humanitarian challenges, yet there is a gap in the literature regarding media representations of this issue. This study aims to uncover how two media outlets, royanews.tv and Aljazeera, portray the famine crisis in Sudan, with a focus on the role of the United States and its geopolitical impact. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques through text analysis of two news reports. The main findings show that the media plays a significant role in shaping public perceptions by using attention-grabbing terms such as "humanitarian catastrophe." The resulting discourse reflects power relations, where media narratives can benefit or harm certain actors in the existing political context. In addition, there are hidden ideologies in the use of language that support or challenge power, in line with Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) theory. The conclusion of this study confirms that language in media discourse not only shapes public perception, but also reflects and maintains power relations, and influences social and political narratives. This research demonstrates the important role of the media in international responses to humanitarian crises.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to analyse the contributions of Indonesian netizens' comments regarding Israel's war crimes in Palestine and to examine the contributions of fuqaha's political exegesis towards peace politics in addressing these crimes. The study provides insights into Indonesian netizens' views and the role of fuqaha in promoting sustainable peace. Using an in-depth qualitative method and textual analysis, the research focuses on fuqaha interpretations of Israel's war crimes, the two-state solution, Palestinian independence, and the role of Islamic law in peace and reconciliation. Participants include fuqaha experts, Islamic studies and international law academics, and Indonesian netizens selected for their expertise. Data collection involves analyzing war crimes documents, two-state resolution texts, and public forum comments. Thematic coding identifies patterns in the data. Findings show Indonesian netizens' strong opinions on social media, calling for accountability for figures like Netanyahu and urging ICC action. Fuqaha, like Al-Shafi'i, Al-Shaukani, and Al-Zuhaily, emphasise peace and justice, condemning Israel's violations of international law. They advocate for integrating Islamic principles into political and social approaches to achieve lasting peace.

Abstract

Redesain bekisting kolom dan balok sistem knock down. Perkembangan teknologi semakin cepat di era sekarang hal ini dapat dilihat dengan diciptakannya berbagai alat bantu, yang dapat memudahkan dalam melakukan pekerjaan, begitu pula dalam kontruksi. Metode penelitian menggunkan motode kuantitatif, dengan data primer berupa hasil survey dan wawancara dengan pihak kontraktor. Penelitian ini selain menggunakan data primer penulis juga menggunakan data sekunder untuk memperkuat data dan acuan penulis dalam menyelesaikan penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dari redesain bekistig knock down tidak hanya dapat digunakan untuk bangunan gedung namun dapat juga digunakan pada bangunan yang lebih kecil, contohnya seperti: rumah tinggal, bangunan ruko dan jenis bangunan lain yang memiliki dimensi kolom tidak lebih dari 40 cm. bekisting redesain ini memiliki bobot yang ringan yaitu sebesar 126 kg pada setiap satu unitnya, bobot ini lebih ringan dibandingkan dengan bekisting knock down yang lain.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country prone to earthquakes. The high earthquake-prone level is due to the meeting of the plates. The occurrence of this earthquake has proven that there are still many buildings, especially building structures that suffer light to heavy damage and even collapse. This study was conducted to analyze the differences in loading on the building structure using the equivalent static method and dynamic time history at the Telecommunication Telkomsel Center (TTC) building in Makassar 2, South Sulawesi. This study is intended to determine the safety of an earthquake-resistant building structure using the ETABS V.16 program. Classification of moderate soil sites and using concrete quality used fc' = 35 MPa based on SNI 1726 2019. The results show that the calculation of earthquake loading that occurs in building structures using equivalent static analysis is considered accurate because it produces earthquake loading that is close to the results of dynamic analysis calculations. time history. The results of calculations and loading carried out are obtained that the building structure is more stable due to the value of _max. = 0.003991221 0.090909091 building stability due to earthquake direction X and 0.00547442 0.090909091 building stability due to earthquake Y direction so the value of is smaller or does not exceed the value of max in accordance with the provisions of SNI 1726-2019

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bagaimana narasi media mengkonstruksi representasi kekuatan militer, ideologi, dan relasi kekuasaan di antara kedua belah pihak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, berdasarkan teori Norman Fairclough. Sumber data utama penelitian ini adalah artikel-artikel berita dari media Timur Tengah mengenai serangan Israel ke Lebanon, yang diperoleh dari situs website Al-Jazeera, Al-Hurra, dan Al-Arabiya. Peneliti menganalisis wacana serangan Israel ke Lebanon menggunakan teknik analisis Miles dan Huberman berdasarkan perspektif Norman Fairclough, melalui reduksi data, pemaparan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ketidakseimbangan akses media berkontribusi pada pembingkaian yang bias, memperburuk polarisasi dan mempersulit penyelesaian konflik. Tingkat situasional menunjukkan bagaimana pembingkaian berita mempengaruhi persepsi publik, memperkuat Israel sebagai aktor defensif sementara menggambarkan Hizbullah sebagai provokatif. Dengan demikian, analisis ini menekankan pentingnya faktor sosial, politik, dan budaya yang kontekstual dalam memahami dampak wacana terhadap realitas sosial dan hubungan antarnegara. Penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa posisi geopolitik dan afiliasi ideologis media berperan signifikan dalam pembentukan narasi, di mana ketiga outlet media yang diteliti menunjukkan perbedaan penekanan dan perspektif meskipun melaporkan peristiwa yang sama.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the extent to which Arabic textbooks for the fourth grade of elementary schools are suitable in terms of their suitability to the 2013 curriculum. To achieve this goal, this study uses descriptive research methods. The approach used in this research is qualitative, using the literature study method. We collected the data for this research by reviewing existing documents. The data from this research includes fourth-grade elementary school Arabic language textbooks, their contents, and the educational curriculum. The data was analyzed by looking at what was in the book and how it related to the curriculum. This was done to see how closely the teaching materials from the fourth-grade Arabic language book put out by the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia were in line with the 2013 Curriculum. The study's results indicate that the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia's fourth-grade Arabic language book, published at the school level, aligns with the 2013 curriculum, offering a range of teaching materials suitable for use in the Arabic language teaching process at the elementary school level. ined and enriched further to improve it, including religious elements in the topics presented, which need to be enriched to increase students' knowledge.

Abstract

The conflict between South and North Sudan is worsened by racial differences. It has also destroyed public infrastructure, including healthcare. The healthcare system's collapse puts the Sudanese population at serious risk now and in the future. The purpose of this study is to reveal the text analysis dimension, the discourse practice dimension, and the sociocultural dimension in Sudan's famine news. A qualitative method is used as the foundational approach, with a critical paradigm as the research perspective. The approach used is Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to uncover the relationships between language, power, and ideology in the discourse on the Sudan crisis. Data is collected from news articles discussing the Sudan crisis from multiple media, using manual recording tools and translation software to understand multilingual texts.The findings indicate that the choice of sentence structure reflects tense social relations within this conflict situation. The discourse created by the Sudanese government seeks to maintain legitimacy by diverting attention from internal issues like famine to external threats. Furthermore, the sociocultural dimension highlights the inability of international diplomacy to resolve the conflict, creating an impression of deadlock and underscoring the role of the international community in responding to Sudan's complex and historical crisis. Recommendations for future research include conducting field studies that involve perspectives from various groups and performing long-term analyses on the development of the Sudan crisis to understand the impact of government discourse within the context of dynamic socio-political change.

Abstract

The lack of prior knowledge among the students and the tedious lecture-based teaching techniques provide difficulties for Arabic reading education at MTs Shirothul Fuqoha' Malang. In order to improve maharah qira'ah through an interactive method, comic-based educational resources were created using Canva. The objectives of this study were to describe the creative process, ascertain viability, and evaluate efficacy. The study included 53 eighth-grade students who were split into two groups: experimental (25) and control (28) participants. Observation, interviews, surveys, and tests were used to gather data, which SPSS 25 was then used to evaluate for validity, reliability, normalcy, and T-tests. The requirements analysis was the first of 10 steps in the media development process. The instructional medium received a good rating of 96%, while the content and language received an 86% rating from expert validation. The final media was created following experiments and adjustments. According to the findings, the experimental group's post-test score (83.33) was 11.73 points higher on average than the control group's (71.60). With a significant value of 0.000, the Independent Sample T-Test verified the effectiveness of the media in improving maharah qira'ah at MTs Shirothul Fuqoha' Malang.

Abstract

الكتاب الدراسي هو وسيلة التعليم بين المعلم والدارسين التي تساعده للوصول إلى أغراض التعليم ويقرب الدارسين إلى فهم المواد الدراسية. والكتاب الدراسي الجيد هو الذي يناسب بأسس إعداد المواد التعليمية التي وضعها علماء التعليم. لاسيما الكتاب الدراسي لتعليم اللغة العربية. من أجل ذلك هذا البحث يتكلم عن تحليل المحتوى الثقافي من كتاب "اللغة العربية للصف السابع للمعاهد المحمدية" على ضوء نظرية عبد الرحمن بن إبراهيم الفوزان. المدخل الذي اسعمل في هذا البحث هو مدخل المختلط الكيفي والنوعي لجمع البيانات وتحليلها. أما المنهج المستخدم هو المنهج الوصفي التحليلي بنوع تحليل محتوى الثقفي. هدف هذا البحث لمعرفة المحتوى الثقافي من كتاب "اللغة العربية للصف السابع للمعاهد المحمدية" على نظرية عبد الرحمن بن إبراهيم الفوزان. ونتائج هذا البحث : إن المحتوى الثقافي من الكتاب الدراسي السابق يوافق لنظرية عبد الرحمن بن إبراهيم الفوزان بنسبة مئوية 54،90% فالكتاب وافق لمعالجة أمور الثقافية موافقة على الأغلب. لأن الكتاب لم يهتم ببعض البنود مثل : أن الكتاب لا يحتوي النصوص من الكتاب والسنة، ولا يخلو مما يخالف الثقافية والإسلامية، وأيضًا عدم اهتمام الكتاب بنماذج من الثقافة الإسلامية وحضارتها.
