This research method is a quasy experiment with quantitative approach. The subjects of the study were the students of class X IPS 3 and Class X IPS 4. Subject take technique done by perposive sampling. The experimental class used the co-op self-co-op learning model and the control class using the conventional co-op co-op learning model. Data were collected using written test techniques to obtain data on problem solving abilities and student learning styles. Data analysis techniques in hypothesis testing using two away anava, followed by tukey test. The results of this study obtained the average value of experimental class 1 taught with Co-op self-co-op learning model is 65.56, the average experiment class 2 is 66.33 and the average control class that is taught by the model of learning Co-op conventional co-op is 59.83. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that (1) There is influence of independent co-op co-op model and learning style to problem solving ability, (2) Co-op Co-op model independent of problem solving ability, (3) learning styles on problem-solving skills and (4) there is an interaction between Co-op co-op models and learning styles in influencing problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is In 21st century learning students are required to be more active in learning than teachers, therefore this study aims to determine whether there is an influence between the LAPS-Heuristic learning model and the ability to solve problems. Methodology: Using quantitative descriptive. Where, the number of samples in this study were 436 students from SMP 11 Jambi City who used purposive sampling technique. Data were then analyzed with the help of SPSS 21 application to find descriptive statistics in the form of mean, min, max, and category as well as inferential statistics using simple regression. Finding: The results obtained in this study are dominant both in the ability of student problem solving and the effectiveness of the LAPS-Heuristic learning model in mathematics lessons. With this, it is strengthened by the existence of a relationship and influence between the LAPS-Heuristic learning model and the students' problem solving abilities seen from the sig value below 0.025, which is 0.019 and has a contribution of 70.3%.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the factors that influence the growth of large and medium scale industrial output in Jambi Province. The data used are secondary data of Jambi Province during the period 2000 - 2014. Data were analyzed descriptively and used multiple regression models. The results of this study found that: 1) large-scale industrial value added for food and beverage groups and wood and rattan industries was significantly affected by investment. Whereas the rubber and plastic industry groups are significantly affected by the number of workers; 2) medium-scale industrial value added for all industry groups (food and beverages, textiles, wood and rattan, rubber and plastics, goods and metals) influenced by the amount of labor and investment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop an instrument measuring spatial intelligence in form of mathematic game for class VII as an alternative instrument between conventional test. Research type is Development Research and using ADDIE Development Model which stands for Analyze (Analysis), Design (Design), Develop (Development), Implement (Implementation) and Evaluate (evaluation). Based on validator assessment, a developing instrument was feasible to be tested on field. Field test result show that instrument can measure student’s spatial ability as conventional test did. This instrument can be used for students with computer-use ability especially using keyboard and mouse and need further research to make a better instrument in different form from conventional instrument.

Abstract

Students’ learning outcome on the national final exam in MTs Minhajul Ishlah school in the Tebo District is still low. To overcome the problem, researchers apply a learning model of Learning Cycle 5E and Two Stay Two Stray learning models. This study aims to determine the effect of the learning models on science learning outcomes by taking account student initial ability. The research took place in the MTs Minhajul Ishlah School in the Tebo District on the subject of solar system in the second semester of the 2018/2019 school year. This experiment research employs a Posttest-Only Control Design. The population in this study was all VII grade students in the MTs Minhajul Ishlah School. The sample in this study was taken randomly and the selected sample classes were class VIIA as experimental class I and VIIB as experimental class II while class VIIC served as a control class. Data were analyzed using Two-Way Anova. Based on the results of the post-test data analysis with a 95% confidence level, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the Learning Cycle 5E learning model and the Two Stay Two Stray models by considering the students initial abilities on theirscience learning outcome.

Abstract

Mastery of the prerequisite material is essential to help students overcome mathematics learning difficulties; however, the prerequisite material needs to be managed effectively to achieve learning objectives. Student Worksheet (LKPD) is a learning tool that can be used to achieve learning objectives. This research is development research to produce a student worksheet that is valid, practical, and effective. LKPD development is carried out using the ADDIE model. The valid value is obtained from the results of content validation by the validator. The practical value is obtained from the test subject's response, and the effectiveness value is obtained based on the assessment of students during the actual trial. The development results show that the average percentage score of the validation results of material experts and media experts reaches 72%, which indicates that LKPD is valid. The practicality assessment was obtained from the percentage of student and teacher responses to the questionnaire given; the average is 99%. The trial results show that the students' responses are very valid. Student learning outcomes showed that 76% of students were able to reach the minimum requirement achievement, meaning that the LKPD effectively improved student learning outcomes. Mathematical LKPD based on structured prerequisite material fulfills the valid, practical, and effective criteria for learning straight line equation material.
