Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki efektivitas pelatihan teknis operasional dalam penggunaan Mendeley Manager untuk mengelola referensi dan menyusun daftar pustaka dengan Microsoft Word. Mahasiswa merupakan subjek penelitian yang dilibatkan dalam pelatihan intensif. Metode pelatihan meliputi demonstrasi praktis, panduan langkah demi langkah, dan sesi tanya jawab interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman mahasiswa tentang penggunaan Mendeley Manager dan kemampuan mereka dalam menyusun daftar pustaka yang akurat dan terstruktur. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya pelatihan teknis yang tepat dalam memfasilitasi mahasiswa dalam menggunakan alat manajemen referensi modern untuk meningkatkan kualitas penulisan ilmiah mereka.

Abstract

Teachers need to understand that identifying learner development is an integral part of the teacher's duties as an educator. By doing this assistance, teachers can prepare themselves professionally to face the challenges of teaching in the classroom. A professional teacher is one who can identify and respond to the needs and developmental levels of each learner. By mentoring the identification of learner development, teachers can develop this ability early on. Identifying learner development allows teachers to design learning that suits the needs and developmental levels of learners. The training method used involves a participatory approach with direct observation, interviews with principals, teachers and students, and filling out questionnaires in the form of guidelines in identifying the development of students based on their developmental aspects. Thus, this mentoring contributes to improving the quality of learning in the classroom. Learner development identification also enables teachers to help learners recognize and understand their abilities and potential. This can increase learners' motivation and self-confidence. By prioritizing learner development identification mentoring for teachers, we can ensure that teachers are ready to be effective, responsive educators who can positively impact the development of their learners.

Abstract

SD Inpres 3 Talise, located in the Palu Disaster Alert Area, was the target of the community service activity "Accelerating the Use of Educational Technology: A Practical Approach to ICT Mentoring and Empowerment in PMM" aims to improve teachers' ICT capabilities to implement innovative and effective learning methods. Canva and artificial intelligence applications will be covered in in-depth training and mentoring sessions in this project. More than 80 percent of the teachers were successful in using technology, according to the post-training evaluation, which showed a great improvement from the initial condition. With contract number Manual.164/E5/DT.05.00.2024, the project funded by the Directorate of Research, Technology and Community Service (DRTPM) aims to support the improvement of teaching quality. It also prepares teachers to face contemporary education challenges and improves education resilience in disaster-prone areas.

Abstract

Abstrak. Kecemasan berbicara merupakan salah satu hambatan utama yang dialami mahasiswa calon guru Bahasa Indonesia dalam mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi lisan. Kondisi ini dapat mengurangi kepercayaan diri dan efektivitas mahasiswa sebagai calon pendidik. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi kecemasan berbicara mahasiswa melalui pemanfaatan gamifikasi berbasis spin wheel digital sebagai media latihan berbicara. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan dengan pendekatan partisipatif melalui workshop. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi penyampaian materi tentang kecemasan berbicara, simulasi berbicara dengan spin wheel digital, serta evaluasi pra–pasca kegiatan menggunakan angket sederhana. Peserta kegiatan adalah mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia yang terlibat secara aktif dalam latihan berbicara spontan berdasarkan topik acak dari roda digital. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya penurunan tingkat kecemasan berbicara pada aspek rasa gugup, takut salah, dan kurang percaya diri. Sebaliknya, terjadi peningkatan signifikan pada antusiasme dan keberanian berbicara mahasiswa. Respon peserta terhadap penggunaan spin wheel digital sangat positif karena dinilai sederhana, menarik, dan efektif menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan gamifikasi berbicara melalui spin wheel digital efektif membantu mengurangi kecemasan berbicara sekaligus meningkatkan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa calon guru Bahasa Indonesia. Kegiatan ini berpotensi dikembangkan lebih lanjut dengan topik yang lebih beragam serta penerapan berkelanjutan sebagai bagian dari strategi peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi calon pendidik di era digital. Kata kunci: kecemasan berbicara, gamifikasi, spin wheel digital, mahasiswa calon guru, pengabdian masyarakat

Abstract

Phonological skills are the main foundation of early literacy, which plays an important role in the reading and writing readiness of early childhood. Phonological awareness, such as the ability to recognize phonemes and syllables, can be developed through various strategies. One method that has been proven effective in developing phonological awareness is reading aloud. In this activity, educators read books to children with appropriate intonation, emphasis, and expressions that bring the text to life. In the context of technological developments and digital learning, conventional approaches need to be adapted to be more engaging and in line with the learning characteristics of today's children. A potential form of transformation is the use of digital audiobooks in reading aloud activities. This medium is believed to enrich children's listening experience and increase their interest in the text being read. By utilizing sound technology and professional narration, digital audio books can strengthen the sound and rhythm aspects of children's stories. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques included participatory observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that audiobook-based reading aloud practices are effective in increasing children's engagement and facilitating teachers in phonological learning. Children showed significant phonological development, especially in imitating sounds, repeating words, and recognizing rhymes.  The child-teacher-media interaction showed a new dynamic, namely that digital media can trigger courage, curiosity, and cooperation among children.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memetakan perkembangan multidimensi peserta didik sebagai dasar penyusunan strategi pembelajaran yang adaptif. Pendampingan dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Watubangga melalui observasi partisipatif dan analisis terstruktur terhadap aspek fisiologis, kognitif, emosional, psikososial, moral, motivasi belajar, minat, gaya belajar, serta latar belakang etnik dan kultur peserta didik kelas X. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa berkembang sesuai tahap remaja awal, namun terdapat variasi dalam partisipasi, regulasi emosi, kedisiplinan, dan kesadaran gaya belajar. Pemetaan ini menjadi landasan penguatan pembelajaran berbasis diferensiasi, partisipatif, serta integrasi pendidikan sosial, emosional, dan karakter. Kegiatan ini juga memperkuat kolaborasi sekolah dan perguruan tinggi dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan pembelajaran secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Pemahaman guru terhadap karakteristik dan perkembangan peserta didik merupakan salah satu indikator penting dalam mendukung keberhasilan kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Namun, dalam praktiknya guru masih perlu secara mendalam memahami berbagai aspek perkembangan siswa. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan untuk mengoptimalkan pemahaman guru tentang karakteristik dan perkembangan peserta didik di SD Negeri 2 Lalombaa. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu koordinasi awal dengan pihak sekolah, penyampaian materi tentang perkembangan peserta didik, pendampingan analisis perkembangan siswa, diskusi dan refleksi bersama guru, serta evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan mengenai pemahaman guru terhadap aspek perkembangan peserta didik yang meliputi aspek fisiologis, kognitif, emosional, dan sosial, serta mampu mengidentifikasi karakteristik belajar siswa secara lebih sistematis menunjukkan hasil yang lebih baik. Kegiatan ini secara tidak langsung berdampak pada peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik guru serta mendorong pembelajaran yang lebih adaptif terhadap kebutuhan siswa sehingga proses belajar menjadi lebih efektif dan berorientasi pada peserta didik.

Abstract

Literacy and speaking skills are important competencies that need to be developed from elementary school onwards. However, in reality, there are still students who do not read actively, lack confidence in expressing their opinions, and have limited opportunities to interact in learning activities. Collaborative learning is one approach that can be used to overcome these problems by emphasizing cooperation among students in learning groups. This study describes how teachers apply collaborative learning strategies to develop students' literacy and speaking skills in elementary school. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were obtained through observation techniques, interviews with sixth-grade Indonesian language teachers at the Ihya As-Sunnah Wundulako Islamic Boarding School, and literature studies. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that collaborative learning strategies are implemented through group work activities, group discussions, presentations of discussion results, and peer feedback. Teachers also encourage less active students to participate in presentations to boost their confidence in speaking. In addition, the use of simple technological media such as audio devices and projectors helps improve students' attention and understanding of the learning material. In practice, teachers face challenges in managing time and student engagement, but collaborative learning has been proven to transform the learning atmosphere to be more active and improve students' reading literacy and speaking skills.
