Abstract

This study investigates community satisfaction with public services in Banjarasri Village, Tanggulangin District, Sidoarjo Regency, employing a qualitative descriptive design with a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods. Using a sample of 334 randomly selected respondents, the research assesses satisfaction across nine indicators outlined in the Decree of the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform. While overall satisfaction is observed, the study reveals a neutral sentiment towards service time, indicating a need for improvement in this specific aspect. The average value of 3.17 suggests a positive community response. The implications of these findings underscore the importance of enhancing service time to further elevate public satisfaction with local services, contributing to the broader discourse on effective public administration.Highlight : Comprehensive Assessment: This study conducts a thorough evaluation of community satisfaction with public services in Banjarasri Village, encompassing various dimensions outlined in the Ministerial Decree. Abstract

This study explores the implementation of SIPRAJA, an e-government platform, in a rural Indonesian village. Using a qualitative approach and T.B. Smith's framework, we analyzed the interaction between policymakers, target groups, implementing organizations, and environmental factors influencing its adoption. Findings reveal positive community reception, highlighting SIPRAJA's potential to streamline public services. However, limited outreach and technical challenges raise concerns about inclusivity and sustainability. This research suggests targeted awareness campaigns and infrastructure improvements are crucial for bridging the rural-urban digital divide and maximizing the impact of e-government initiatives. Highlight : Positive community reception: SIPRAJA shows potential to improve public services in rural areas through streamlined access. Limited outreach and technical challenges: Concerns remain regarding inclusivity and sustainability due to lack of awareness and infrastructure. Bridging the digital divide: Targeted campaigns and infrastructure improvements are crucial for successful e-government initiatives in rural areas. Keywords: e-government, rural Indonesia, SIPRAJA platform, digital divide, inclusivity

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Plavon Dukcapil website in enhancing population administration in the Mining Village government. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the research focuses on four indicators: program target accuracy, socialization, objectives, and monitoring. Results show that while the website effectively serves its intended community, socialization efforts are lacking, leading to limited awareness among less tech-savvy residents. Despite human resource challenges, the website meets its objective of expediting administrative processes. However, formal monitoring is absent. The findings suggest a need for better socialization, continuous monitoring, and enhanced training for human resources to optimize e-government services at the village level. Highlights: Target Accuracy: Website effectively serves the community, increasing administration activities. Socialization: Limited awareness due to inadequate efforts and reliance on word of mouth. Program Monitoring: Lacks formal oversight; requires continuous monitoring and human resource training. Keywords: E-government, population administration, Mining Village, program effectiveness, qualitative study

Abstract

This study examines the role of the Sruni Village Government in waste management in Gedangan District. Despite efforts to improve waste management, challenges persist due to a lack of community understanding. The government has introduced facilities like a waste bank to reduce careless waste disposal. Using a qualitative descriptive method with purposive sampling, the research identifies four roles: stabilizer (implementing environmental programs), innovator (lacking in providing training), modernizer (establishing a waste bank), and pioneer (promoting independent waste sorting). Key challenges include community reluctance to segregate waste and inadequate waste collection facilities. The study underscores the need for better education and infrastructure to enhance waste management practices. Highlights: Government Roles: Stabilizer, innovator, modernizer, and pioneer in waste management. Challenges: Community reluctance and inadequate waste facilities. Solutions: Enhanced education and infrastructure for better waste management. Keywords: Waste management, Village government, Community engagement, Environmental policy, Sruni Village

Abstract

General Background: Food security is a critical issue in rural areas, especially in developing countries, where sustainable agricultural practices and government support play a vital role in ensuring a stable food supply. Specific Background: In Sumorame Village, Candi District, Sidoarjo Regency, the local government has implemented a food security program aimed at improving agricultural productivity and community welfare. Knowledge Gap: Despite the program's significance, little is known about the specific factors influencing its success, particularly in the context of rural governance and local agricultural conditions. Aims: This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the food security program in Sumorame Village, focusing on four key factors: communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. Results: The findings reveal that communication between the village government, farmers, and community groups has been effective through targeted socialization efforts. Human resources are competent, with strong collaboration among farmer groups. Financial resources have been allocated in accordance with regulations, but physical infrastructure remains inadequate due to limited agricultural land, unfavorable geographical conditions, and suboptimal hydroponic yields. Disposition among stakeholders is positive, with high commitment observed. The bureaucratic structure has been functioning in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Novelty: This study highlights the importance of resource optimization, particularly in agricultural infrastructure, and stresses the need for improved technological integration to enhance program outcomes. Implications: The results suggest that strengthening communication and addressing physical resource limitations are crucial for improving food security program effectiveness in rural areas. This study provides valuable insights for policymakers seeking to enhance rural food security initiatives. Highlights: Communication is crucial for successful food security program implementation. Infrastructure limitations present significant challenges to agricultural productivity. Collaboration and commitment among stakeholders enhance program effectiveness. Keywords: Food security, rural governance, agricultural infrastructure, communication, resource optimization

Abstract

The general background this research focuses on the implementation of the Integrated Waste Management Program (TPST) to address waste management issues at the village level. Specific background includes the lack of understanding regarding the effectiveness of existing waste management programs, which often do not run optimally. Knowledge gap this drives further research to evaluate these programs. Aims of this research is to describe and analyze the implementation of the TPST waste management program and assess the indicators that influence its success. Results of the research show that the implementation of this program is considered quite good with the indicators of communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure having been met. Novelty of this research lies in the application of implementation theory by George Edward III in the context of waste management in villages, providing new insights into the factors that influence program effectiveness. Implications of this research suggest that village governments conduct ongoing evaluations and improvements to facilities and infrastructure to enhance the quality of waste management and produce organic fertilizer, thereby reducing the amount of residue generated. Highlights: Implementation assessed through indicators: communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. Ongoing evaluations are essential for enhancing waste management effectiveness. Recommendations include improving facilities to produce organic fertilizer and reduce waste residue. Keywords: Waste Management, Integrated Program, Implementation, Community Engagement, Resource Allocation
