Abstract

Vibration and wave material is one of the science materials that are considered difficult; the learning outcome of most students at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Jambi City are still below the minimum requirement (65). This study aims to determine the differences in learning outcomes and implement discovery learning models on student learning outcomes in vibration and wave material. The research employed a pre-experimental design through pretest-posttest-control-design, carried out at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Jambi City from February 17 to March 16, 2020. The sample selection was carried out using a simple random sampling technique. The average student learning outcomes in the control class's cognitive domain was 54,33, while the experimental class was 70,19. In the realm of attitudes, the average student learning outcomes in the control class was 73,58, while in the experimental class was 80. The independent-sample t-test for cognitive domain learning outcomes was 4,512 (> t table 2.063) and in the attitude domain was 2, 57 (> t table 2,063). Paired sample t score of learning outcomes in the cognitive domain was 1,259 (<t table 1,708), and in the realm of attitudes, was 0,0004 (<t table 1,708). It can be concluded that there are differences in student learning outcomes using discovery learning models, both in the cognitive and attitudinal domains.

Abstract

The learning activities at SMPN Satu Atap 3 Tungkal Ulu still lack in training students to be active in the learning process so that students' learning outcomes are not optimal. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes by applying the Experiential Learning model. This study also observes the atmosphere of the learning environment that helps the application of the Experiential Learning model in improving student learning outcomes. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) guided by the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model, which consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. This study involved students of class VIIA SMPN Satu Atap 3 Tungkal Ulu. The data was collected employing observation sheets and analysis of learning outcomes tests. The results showed that the application of the Experiential Learning model could improve student learning outcomes. A comfortable, safe, and fun learning environment is also a determining factor for students to learn more actively, which will help improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang scaffolding ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bantuan apa yang tepat diberikan guru kepada peserta didik dalam menguasai beberapa teknik belajar yang sesuai dengan model pembelajaran yang digunakan. Scaffolding dapat berbentuk verbal ( fokus pada pengembangan bahasa), prosedural (teknik pengelompokan dan kerangka kegiatan), dan berbentuk tools ( alat yang mendukung pembelajaran ). Scaffolding dapat diberikan setelah melakukan dynamics assessment di kelas. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mempersiapkan perancah proseduraldalam bentuk LKPD dan dipraktekkan di kelas dalam pembelajaran untuk mendapatkan dinamika fading dan transfer tanggung jawab komponen aktivitas pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri tipe 5E yaitu Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, dan Evaluate . Penelitian ini merupakan tindakan tindakan kelas yang berlangsung secara tiga siklus. Tiap tahap perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Jenis data dalam penelitian ini berupa data tindakan guru dan tindakan siswa dalam bentuk lembar observasi dan data penelitian keterampilan kelompok dengan tahapan 5E melalui LKPD yang telah dirancang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya transfer tanggung jawab dari guru ke peserta didik.Pada akhirnya, memberikan evaluasi yang berkualitas, memungkinkan peserta didik untuk melaksanakan tugasnya sebagai siswa dengan baik.

Abstract

One of the lessons contained in the genetics practicum is dermatoglyphics. During the genetic practicum on dermatoglyphic material, students experienced few difficulties in explaining the material. Therefore, a genetic practicum guide for dermatoglyphic material was developed. This study aims to produce an appropriate guided inquiry-based practicum guide from the aspect of the feasibility of the material and media. The results of this study are expected to provide new innovations as a source of learning for students. The development of the practical guide is carried out using the ADDIE model. This study reviews the development stage at the ADDIE stage. The data analysis carried out was descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative. Qualitative data came from the validator's suggestion while quantitative data was obtained from a Likert questionnaire on a scale of 1-5. The research instrument is a material expert validation sheet and media expert. Based on the research, the average results of stage 1 material validation were 56.63% with a fairly good category and stage 2 validation was 71.60%. While the results of the media validation stage 1 obtained 34.78% with a fairly good category, validation stage 2 66.19% good category, and validation stage 3 has a very good category with a percentage of 89.05%. The material and media validation process is carried out in stages and improvements are made so that it can be concluded that this practical guide is feasible.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the effectiveness of the results of the development of scientific-based Learner Worksheets (LKPD) in improving critical thinking ability and to look at the development of worksheets in terms of feasibility, effectiveness, teacher response and student response. This research uses Research and Development (R & D) method to produce LKPD. The development model used in the research is the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages namely analysis, design, development, planning and evaluation. The type of data used is skinative and quantitative data. Instruments used in the form of questionnaires and learning outcomes. The results of the study, from the validation results of material experts obtained a score of 84 with a good category and the results of validation media experts obtained a score of 90 with a very good category. The results of the teacher's response obtained a score of 93 with excellent categories and the correlation result of the teacher's response expressed a positive correlation to scientific-based LKPD. For learners to get a correlation value of 0.95, that means there is a strong correlation to scientifically based LKPD. While kappa test obtained by 0.60 with strong category. For effectiveness test if ρ value < 0.05 then H0 rejected, so Ha accepted. In conclusion, scientific-based LKPD effectively improves the critical thinking ability of learners, there are influences both before and after the use of worksheets developed in learning. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) apakah terdapat pengaruh penerapan LKPD berdasarkan kerangka kerja TPACK terhadap pemecahan masalah matematika siswa (2) apakah terdapat pengaruh kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika terhadap hasil belajar siswa (3) apakah terdapat interaksi antara penerapan LKPD dan hasil belajar terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental research dan desain penelitian posttest only control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN 20 Kota Jambi tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Pengambilan kelas sampel dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan tes hasil belajar dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) tidak terdapat pengaruh penerapan LKPD berdasarkan kerangka kerja TPACK terhadap pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang dapat dilihat dari nilai signifikasi dengan analisis data menggunakan ANOVA dua jalur yaitu 0.058, lebih besar dari 0.05. (2) terdapat pengaruh kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika terhadap hasil belajar siswa yang dapat dilihat dari nilai signifikasi dengan analisis data menggunakan ANOVA dua jalur yaitu 0.000, lebih kecil dari 0.05. (3) tidak terdapat interaksi antara penerapan LKPD dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa terhadap hasil belajar siswa, yang dapat dilihat dari nilai signifikasi dengan analisis data menggunakan ANOVA dua jalur yaitu 0.364, lebih besar dari 0.05

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted  to determine the feasibility of the Mendel's law pseudo deviation practicum guide as a genetics learning medium in lectures., namely analysis, design, develop, implementation and evaluation. The data analysis used is qualitative dat The method used in this research is the development (Research and Development) with ADDIE development design, analysis in the form of suggestions from media and material validators and quantitative data in the form of Likert scale questionnaires. The results of the validation of the media carried out in the practicum guide include 69,33% (good) the results of the first validation and the results of the second validation 88% (very good). The results of material validation include 50,37% (adequate) in the first validation, 70,37% (good) in the second validation and 93,33% (very good) in the third validation. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis data kualitatif berupa saran dari validator media dan materi serta data kuantitatif berupa angket skala likert. Hasil dari validasi media  yang dilakukan  pada panduan praktikum antara lain 69,33% (baik) hasil validasi pertama dan hasil  validasi yang kedua 88%  (sangat baik) . hasil validasi materi antara lain  50,37% (cukup) pada validasi pertama, 70,37% (baik) pada validasi kedua dan 93,33% (sangat baik) pada validasi ketiga. Abstract

This study aims to develop dermatoglyphic practicum guide based on guided inquiry and to determine students' creative thinking skills in using the practicum guide. This type of research is Research and development or R&D with the ADDIE development model. The subjects of this study were students of biology education at Jambi University who had contracted genetics courses and genetics practicum, namely students of the 2018 batch. The data analysis techniques in this study were quantitative and qualitative. The results of media validation and material validation showed an increase after revision with a media validation value of 71.60% (good) and material validation 89,05% (very good). The results of small group trials and large group trials of student perceptions of the practicum guide obtained a percentage of 84,82% % with (very good) and 89,24% for large group trials (very good). The use of practicum guides can improve students' creative thinking skills with the N-gain test score of 0.73 including the high category. Guided inquiry-based dermatoglyphic material practicum through the paired sample t-test, it is known that there is a significant effect of the use of practicum guides on students' creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries that depend on fossil-based fuels as a good source of energy. Until now, the portion of fossil energy use has reached more than 80% in the national primary energy mix. From these data, it is clear that dependence on fossil energy in Indonesia is still high. This study aims to describe the knowledge and perceptions of the people of Jambi City about the prospect of using alternative energy sources based on biofuels. And to find out whether there is an influence between knowledge and people's perceptions of Jambi City about the prospect of using biofuel-based alternative energy sources. This study uses the type of mix method. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires and interviews. The results obtained are that the community perception value in Jelutung sub-district regarding biofuel-based alternative energy is higher than the community in Pasar Jambi sub-district. People in Pasar Jambi Sub-district have knowledge about alternative energy based on biofuel which is superior to people in Jelutung sub-district

Abstract

Learning media is part of learning that contains messages, people, and devices, which follow technological developments. This study aims to determine the feasibility of developing web-based learning media to improve digital and scientific literacy skills in the material of the human digestive system in class VIII J at SMP Negeri 11 Jambi City. This research development uses the Dick & Carey development model. The test subjects consisted of a small group of 6 people and a large group consisting of 33 students who were students of Junior High School state 11 Jambi. The instruments used in this study were interviews, questionnaires, tests, and validation assessment sheets. This study uses a one-shot case study experimental design. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The results of this study are media validation. The first material validation gets a score of 56%, and the classification of eligibility is not good, with several improvements. The second gets a score of 72%, the classification of eligibility is good, and the third gets a score of 91%, the classification is very good. The first media validation gets a score of 50%, and the feasibility classification is not good, with several improvements. The second gets a score of 72%, the feasibility classification is good, and the third gets a score of 94%, and the classification is very good. The effectiveness of web-based learning media (glideapps) in increasing digital literacy was carried out in large group tests obtaining an average value of 0.7757 or 77.5712% with high category in effective interpretation. The effectiveness of web-based learning media (glideapps) in increasing sains literacy is carried out in large group tests obtaining an average value of 0.7836 or 78.3601 % with high category in effective interpretation.
