Abstract

Making literacy parks in schools is a very important means of improving the reading culture in students. The development of a green literacy park must pay attention to environmental sustainability aspects in the form of saving energy, water, materials and land suitability, in such a way as to reduce carbon emissions and maintain the availability of natural resources. Ecobrick is a solution that can be applied in schools so that plastic waste, especially soft plastic produced in schools, can be used as something useful, namely being used as a literacy park. This research method is descriptive qualitative. Collecting data is obtained through questionnaires, observation and documentation. The research was conducted at Junior High School Pekanbaru. The results showed that the amount of waste production for Junior High Schools Pekanbaru City which consists of 45 schools with a total of 30,639 students in 2020 the average production of plastic waste is 15 grams/day. Meanwhile, the total production of plastic waste at Junior High Schools Pekanbaru City is 456,620 kg/day. The construction of an eco-friendly ecobrick-based literacy park is one of the solutions in handling plastic waste in schools, by using an ecobrick of 600 ml aqua bottles, so the construction of an 8 m x 6 m park (48m² ) requires 10,800 ecobricks. Where in 1m² it takes 225 bottles or the equivalent of 45,000 grams of waste. So that for a garden with an area 48m² can degrade plastic waste 2,160,000 grams (2,160 tons) of garbage.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah menetapkan pola pengoperasian pintu pembilas terhadap laju sedimentasi tahunan pada Bendung Sei Tibun, Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau. Permasalahan ini muncul akibat belum adanya manual operasional pintu pembilas di bendung. Hal ini menyebabkan juru ukur bendung kesulitan dalam menentukan waktu pembilasan sedimen dan tinggi bukaan pintunya. Kondisi di lapangan menunjukkan juru ukur Bendung Sei Tibun harus melakukan pengerukan sedimen di saluran irigasi. Kondisi tersebut seharusnya dapat teratasi apabila dilakukan  pembilasan sedimen secara rutin dan berkala. Metode pendekatan yang dilakukan untuk mendiskripsikan pola pengoperasikan pintu pembilas akibat pengaruh laju sedimentasi dalam meninjau aspek hidrolika adalah penyajian dalam suatu pemodelan secara fisik berskala 1:1 yang tidak lain adalah bendung itu sendiri. Dalam pemodelan ini keadaan di lapangan didekati dengan bentuk-bentuk idealisasi untuk menyederhanakan prosedur perhitungan. Hasil utama penelitian menunjukkan besarnya laju endapan sedimentasi tahunan yang terjadi di Bendung Sei Tibun yaitu sebesar 13.320,65 m3/tahun. Untuk menjaga agar fungsi layan Bendung Sei Tibun lebih lama, maka diperlukan pembilasan secara rutin dan berkala yaitu minimal setiap 8 bulan sekali dengan tinggi minimum bukaan pintu pembilas yaitu sebesar 31,7 cm untuk pengoperasian satu pintu pembilas selama 6 jam. Sedangkan jika dilakukan pengoperasian dua pintu pembilas dengan durasi pembilasan yang sama, maka tinggi minimum bukaan pintu pembilas yaitu sebesar 15 cm.

Abstract

The development of slums in urban areas is inseparable of the increases in population and population activity. In addition, undirected and unplanned development also supports the degradation of the quality of residential environment. One area that is included in the slum area is located in Tanah Datar Sub-District. The residential area of Tanah Datar Sub-District is right in the heart of Pekanbaru city. Thus, living conditions and the welfare of the people who live in these settlements greatly affect the face of a city. The characteristics and conditions of slums in each region is different. Thus, this study aims to identify the condition of a residential area in order to determine alternatives to handling slum areas appropriately. The method used  is exploratory descriptive of phenomena and facts relating to the condition of the community and the environment of slum areas based on real facts, expert opinion and the criteria of the Minister of PUPR Regulation Number 14/PRT/M/2018. The results showed that in achieving the goal of handling slum areas, the priority of government policy and budget allocation alignments be the most important factor. Then, strengthen government collaboration with relevant stakeholders and  handling based on the priority scale required by the residential area.

Abstract

The development of urban progress often experiences an inconsistency between urban development needs and the availibility and needs of RTH. Pekanbaru city turned into a city that moves into a form of metropolitan city, land use change in Pekanbaru City causes enviromental quality degradation, so that the existing area of existing public RTH must be considered and expanded and intensified its function. This study aims to determine the extent of public RTH that has existed until 2017 in the city of Pekanbaru and how to distribute the RTH and review the results of the strategy analysis of achieving the availibilty and needs of RTH in the city of Pekanbaru. The research was conducted in March to July 2017. The results showed that the proportion of RTH was set at least 30% of the total area of Pekanbaru City which is 18,967.80 ha consisting of Public RTH 12,645.20 ha (20%) and Private RTH 6,322,60 ha (10%) as mandated by Law No. 26 of 2007. The existing area of public RTH in Pekanbaru City in 2017 has only reached 419.70 ha (2.21%) and there is still a shortage of public RTH covering an area of 12,225.50 ha. Public RTH located in Pekanbaru City until 2017 consists of : (1) City Park covering an area of 98,522.02 m2, (2) Urban Forest covering an area of 1,698,900 m2, (3) Green Road RTH with an area of 161,001.86 m2, (4 ) Lake RTH covering an area of 1,201,100.00 m2, (5) Funeral RTH covering an area of 318,200.00 m2, (6) Sports Field RTH covering an area of 505,651.48 m2 and (7) RTH located in Government assets covering 213,657.20 m2. The Pekanbaru City Government and Pekanbaru City DPRD need to immediately place the green space problem as an important issue in the budget and ongoing program discussion and the Pekanbaru City Government must increase the availability of the budget for public green open space in an effort to achieve 20%. The plan to develop RTH in Pekanbaru City will be realized through the utilization of potential areas around the City of Pekanbaru. The realizationof the RTH of Pekanbaru City which is the Capital of Riau Province revealed in the RTH masterplan of at least 30% can be arranged in a systematic and realistic program indication framework.

Abstract

As a the determinants of public health. Housing must fulfill health requirements, lighting, air circulation, and air temperature and humidity. Healthy housing is inseparable from the availability of facilities such as water supply, sanitation, garbage disposal, transportation, and the availability of social services. In indonesia, many housing developers are building houses without complete spaces. Pekanbaru as a tropics city, the air temperature tends to be high, it is difficult to make a comfortable home. In this condition, if a house is designed to must the concept of a healthy standard, the comfort of the building user will be realized. This survey was conducted in July 2019 to April 2020. The model of the research was to analyze the theories and parameters of the health aspects of habitable houses, to obtain an analysis of whether the type 36 homes meet the health aspectswere done. Data were coolected by observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Data analysis is the description of survey results and quantitative analysis.The results showed than theconstruction of type 36 housing in Pekanbaru City has the health aspects of the houses being built, ranging from lighting, ventilation, and temperature. However, the sanitation aspect are still shortcomings in fulfilling the predetermined standardization.

Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to develop strategies for applying individual-scale rainwater harvesting technology to support sustainable urban agriculture to support food security in sustainable urban areas. The research was conducted at labaratory Applying Individual Scale Rainwater in Green House Housing Blok A. No. 1, Sialang Munggu, Pekanbaru. This study was conducted for four month, in Juni 2020 to October 2020. The research method used is analytical hierarchy process (AHP).whose analysis is supported using AHP Simon C Barnand United Kingdom (SCBUK) software, as well as establishing one identified single respondent who is considered a representative contributes significantly to recommending the assessment / justification of experts namely one of the lecturers of the Faculty of Engineering of Riau University who has implemented and pursued the field of research implementation of RWH Technology combined with IoT-based Agricultural Technology to support urban agriculture programs. The main results of the research stated that the plan of collaboration between the government and the community occupies the top priority supported by the implementation of successive PAH technology ground tanks, head tanks and hybridization of ground and head tanks supported by factors of land availability, construction costs and operational and maintenance costs.

Abstract

Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Siak termasuk DAS kritis khususnya bagian hilir, dimana terjadinya penurunan debit dan kulitas air sungai yang dipicu oleh meningkatnya aktivitas disepanjang aliran sungai yang didominasi oleh kegiatan perkebunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis daya tampung beban pencemaran BOD, COD dan TSS pada DAS Siak bagian hilir menggunakan metode WASP 7.3; dan menentukan besar reduksi beban pencemarannya. DAS Siak bagian hilir dibagi menjadi 14 segment kemudian dilakukan simulasi beban pencemaran parameter BOD, COD dan TSS pada masing-masing segment. Pada simulasi ini digunakan debit minimum yaitu sebesar 151 m3/dt dilanjutkan dengan mereduksi beban pencemarannya sebesar 75%, 50% dan 25% sampai sesuai dengan baku mutu air peruntukan kelas II.  Hasil Pemodelan WASP7.3 Daya Tampung Beban Pencemaran DAS Siak bagian hilir kabupaten Siak pada debit andalan minimum masing-masing untuk parameter BOD sebesar -68.877,82 kg/hari, COD sebesar -300.242,11 kg/hari dan TSS sebesar -169.065,78 kg/hari, dimana tanda minus (-) menandakan bahwa beban pencemar melebihi daya tampung sungai. Reduksi beban pencemar untuk parameter BOD sebesar 75%, COD sebesar 50%, dan TSS sebesar 25%. Parameter BOD merupakan parameter tertinggi dilakukan reduksi karena semua segment pada DAS Siak bagian hilir kabupaten Siak melebihi baku mutu peruntukkan kelas II. Kemampuan DAS Siak bagian hilir kabupaten Siak untuk menampung beban pencemar berdasarkan baku mutu peruntukkan kelas II setelah dilakukan reduksi masing-masing parameter pencemar adalah BOD 75% sebesar 12.134,95 kg/hari, COD 50% sebesar 12.958,94 kg/hari, dan TSS 25% sebesar 36.280,66 kg/hari.

Abstract

Sungai Sail yang dianggap berpotensi untuk dijadikan sumber air baku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kuantitas Sungai Sail terkait debit andalan, keseimbangan air Sungai Sail yang dapat digunakan sebagai sumber air baku, dalam hal ini penyedian air bersih untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat Kecamatan Bukit Raya. Hasil perhitungan didapatkan debit andalan 95% Sungai Sail sebesar 0,21 m3/s. Kebutuhan air bersih domestik dan non domestik  pada tahun 2033 sebesar 0,283 m3/dt. Berdasarkan besarnya debit yang tersedia di sungai dan besarnya kebutuhan air bersih diketahui keseimbangan air Sungai Sail mengalami defisit air sebesar -0,073 m3/s.

Abstract

Most important information regarding of weather especially the rain is very useful for human routines. At this writing used fuzzy logic which aims to made a approaching prediction of raining on Sub DAS Siak Hulu. The Data that used is the rainfall data and climatological data from 2010 through 2012 with a prediction that will be done for the year 2011. The rainfall data is been taken from Pasar Kampar station which sourced from Balai Wilayah Sungai III and  then for climatology data took from Pasar Kampar station and from website www.wunderground.com. For the input of rain prediction model used 6 variables that is air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, barometric pressure, total layers of clouds, and the sun shines with long output variable is rainfall. For the measurement of the accuracy of prediction Mean Square Error formulation used. Based on the results of the verification of the prediction of rainfall had a median value of ratanya was 66% and for the results of the verification of average rain events is 65%.  Key words: rainfall, weather, prediction, fuzzy inference system

Abstract

Sedimentation-erosion that happed at top canal of Duri is one of problem that must be described in analyzing DAS because canal of Duri is multifunction of canal that usefull in wealth of people. Method that used is analysis using some formulas of erosion-sedimentation such as USLE and MUSLE, MUSLE it self is the development of USLE method by changing erosivitas factor with flow factor. Prediction result of erosion potential with MUSLE model show that sedimentation happened at top canal of Duri condition of closing land 2012. It has amount 31.16 ton and in 2002 was 29.38 ton. It shows that sedimentation that happened 2012 was bigger than the sedimentation that happened before in 2002. This happened, because of the changing of closing land happened, had caused the increase of top debit in rain. as a result of the increasing of koefisien of surface flow. Erosion prediction with USLE model at top canal of Duri in 2002 was 45.72 ton/ha/year. Show that the result depends on how high the rain falls. The higher of rain falls the bigger of land erosion.
