Abstract

IHACRES model is one of the well known rainfall-runoff model and have been successful in investigating the hydrology response of the various watersheds, espencially in indonesia. Previous research in the Rokan Sub-watershed, station AWLR Lubuk Bendahara, Riau Province. The results showed yhat the model IHACRES can be said is still not reliable enough or has not met since the value of R2 generated at simulation stage  at 0,341. It is necessary to further develop an approach using the combined model of wavelet transform – IHACRES with the aim to improve the performance rainfall-runoff model. The results showed that the best scheme in the calibration phase is scheme 1 (3 years calibration) a significant increase in overall input data is filtered in the form of rain data, climatology and streamflow using wavelet transform wherein R2 value of 0,369. While the results of statistical tests of coreelation coefficient (R) indicates that the Haar wavelet model of level 2 increased by 0,03 compared to the original data without filtering by value respectively 0,645 and 0,642. This value is considered a strong correlation. The results showed the use of wavelet transform – IHACRES proviede enhanced performance rainfall-runoff model.  Keyword : wavelet haar, wavelet transform, rainfall- runoff, IHACRES model

Abstract

Water quantity is an important factor in evaluating water resources. It must be measured directly, However not all of the watersheds has hydrology station, the quantity or the amount of the water can be measured by modeling. One of the simple models in estimating the potential of water each month is Thornthwaite-mather method. This method is based on water balance. The rain as an interior, the evapotranspiration and the discharge of water as superficial. The characteristics of the soil physically and the occlusionof land area as a processor. The aim of this research is to getan information about the appraising of the availability of the water per month. The result of this research shows that the appraising of the potential of the availability of water assumed that 50% of the surplus of the water will be become runoff. The Runoff computation of the surface will be start as soon as the dry season ending. (S>0)in which at this point, assumption 50% is used from the surplus that will be added to the run-off for the upcoming month in and the Runoffis the amount of the availability of the water in the sub watersheds Subayang of the water in the sub watersheds Subayang. In order to get the good result of the standard comparison. The result of the water measurement is better to be checked again. Keywords: Water potensial estimation, Direct mesurement

Abstract

Flooding in Mutiara Witayu Recidence caused a big problem for the local communities. This situation led the government taking an action to relocate and plan a construction of retention pond as a settlement of the flood in the region. The purpose of this study was to get a sufficient retention pond capacity to accommodate the flood discharge at the sites. During it’s planning, hydrological analysis was conducted with rainfall data from the Office of Hydrology station for 20 years. Log Person III probability distribution and 5 year retense were used for the analysis. EPA SWMM program was used to analyze the flow of runoff existing in this study. The flooding problem was due to the runoff water which could not flow out into the outfall caused by the operation of the sluice. So it was necessary to accommodate the construction of retention pond during the discharge of the runoff of rainwater. The retention pond with a capacity of 23,000 m3 with a maximum depth of 1 m and ponded area of 23,000 m2, was planned in the study site. Based on the running program, it was found that the addition of a retention pond with that capacity could effectively accommodate the flood discharge at the sites. The cost required to build retention pond was Rp. 7,810,000,700.00 (Seven Billion Eight Hundred and Ten Million Seven Hundred Rupiahs). Keywords : Mutiara Witayu Recident, Flood, EPA SWMM, Retention Pond, Engineering Estimate
