Abstract

Analysis of tidal components can be done with several methods, namely least square method, admiralty and so forth. The least square method is a tidal harmonic analysis method used to analyze and to predict tides in this research. Daily observation data of 15 days in each hour will be simulated against 158 variations of time using Hijri calendar, to find out the initial variation of observational data that best matches the tidal prediction in Bengkalis waters. The analysis was carried out using tidal data in the waters around the port of Roro Bengkalis. The analysis results show that the smallest average root mean square error (RMSE) value is on the initial variation of the 30th data for verification of the simulation data. The 30th days of the Hijri calendar is in the new moon phase. The tidal type of the location of the research based on the value of the Formzahl number was classified at the double mixed tide prevailing type (mixed tide prevailing semidiurnal). Keywords: formzahl, least square method, RMSE, tide prediction

Abstract

Previous researchers have much success using the model Artificial Neural Network (ANN) as a forecasting model for hydrological analysis. Reliability of ANN models need to be tested, especially to farecast of the tidal. In this research, Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) models which built using data tidal observations in Tanjung Buton (2004). The result of tidal forecasting by using ANN models show excellent results with value the test statistic parameters of the correlation coefficient (R) more than 0.8774 that is in category of very strong correlation, statistic parameters of Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) 0.4362 m, and the test parameters of the average valuation relative error by 11.57%. Abstract

Series data forecasting discharge Qn to Qn+1 using artificial neural network modeling approach backpropagation algorithm produces a good correlation between the value of the discharge predictions and actual discharge, it is also influenced by the pattern of the data available is quite good, it can be seen from the training process , testing and validation in MATLAB value that produces a fairly high correlation learning. In the process of building a model of artificial neural networks using matlab backpropagation algorithm, obtained parameter values that provide a good learning outcome correlation, while the parameters that epoch = 2000, lr = 0.1, mc = 0.9, the parameters have been experimentally repeated on each of the various parameters that affect. variation in the data 80 (training) and 20 (test) results are slightly better correlation than the data variation 70-30 and 75-25, this is evidenced in the testing process neural network model is applied to predict discharge in 2009.The results of this study in predicting discharge Qn+1 be developed by conducting in-depth research, so it may be a recommendation for a flood early warning system around the station AWLR locations berhala island.Key word : Artificial neural network, Algoritm Backpropagation, forecasting

Abstract

The flood problem and inundation local often occuring in regions Rumbai Pesisir, precisely in the intersection of Yos Sudarso Street. The main cause of the flood and water was changes to land of the natural environment to development , raising the surface watertight , for example the way , commercial area , the sidewalk , and residential . This change reduce , disturbing vegetation natural or eliminate the ground up , the natural and drainage patterns that prevents , vaporize , store , issued slowly and meresapkan water . The impact of changes to land management in the region yos sudarso was the increasing flow of direct surface (run off) and parse water to seep in ground which can make puddles .On pesing , analysis was conducted hydrology with the data of rain in 20 years from station office hydrology. Analysis hydrology planning it uses distribution probability logs pearson type 3 and with on the EPA SWMM with a period of flood re until 2033. Abstract

The Regional Water Company (PDAM) has not been able to providing clean water in the city of Pekanbaru, one of which is the Bukit Raya subdistrict because of the many obstacles faced such as leaking pipes, the age of the pipe that is very old, and the quality of the Siak River water had been contaminated by heavy metals. So it is necessary to study the potential for surface water sources that could be developed, one of which is Sail River considered potentially to be used as a source of raw water. This study aims to determine the quantity of river discharge associated mainstay of Sail River, Sail river water balance and determine the quality of Sail River that can be used as a raw water source, in this case water providers to meet the needs of Bukit Raya subdistrict. The results of the calculation, 95% of the river discharge mainstay Sail River of 0,21 m3/sec. Clean water needs of domestic and non domestic in 2033 amounted to 0.283 m3/sec. Based on the amount of discharge is available on the river and the need for clean water is known Sail River water balance have deficit water amounted to -0,073 m3/sec. Results of laboratory tests of water quality in mind some of the parameters that does not comply with quality standards, such as pH, BOD, COD, DO, NH3, nitrogen, iron, sulfur as H2S, and total coliform. Therefore, to take advantage of Sail River as raw water treatment is required in advance. Keywords: Feasibility Study, Raw Water Availability, Sail River

Abstract

Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (SUH) is the most practical and simplest method in analyzing the flow rate in an ungauged watershed. It only needs the watershed characteristic data such as the area size of watershed and the length of the river. The flow rate data used in many water resource related planning activity such as drainage, water reservoir etc.. Some of the oftenly used SUH methodes are SCS (Soil Conservation Service), Nakaysu, Snyder’s, GAMA-I etc. The concept of Unit Hydrograph with the volume control/ DRO (Direct Run Off) value closest to1mm, is used to determine a proper SUH method to be applied on watershed. In the case study of Tapung Kiri watershed, the proper SUH method to be applied is the Nakayasu’s with the α = 2, and DRO = 0,992. Nakayasu’s is also the proper SUH to be applied in the Tapung Kanan watershed, with the α = 2, and DRO = 0,992.Keyword : UH, SUH, SCS (Soil Conservation Service), Nakayasu, Snyder, DRO, Tapung River
