Abstract

Introduction: Resin-modified glass ionomer cement (RMGIC) is a restorative material developed with aim to overcome the weaknesses of GIC which has poor physical properties that can affect the surface roughness. A rough surface is a contributing factor to the accumulation of plaque and development of secondary caries. One of the factors that cause surface roughness is the use of mouthwash. Objective: To determine the effect of two essential oil mouthwashes on the surface roughness of RMGIC. Methods: Fifteen samples of RMGIC (cylindrical, 2 mm high and 10 mm in diameter) were divided into three treatment groups (n = 5 in each group). In group I, the samples were immersed in green tea essential oil mouthwash for 30 seconds. In group II, the samples were immersed in lemon essential oil mouthwash for 60 seconds. In group III, the samples were immersed in distilled water (control group). All the samples were immersed for 21 days at room temperature (37°C), with two repetitions. The surface roughness was then tested using a surface roughness tester (Taylor Hobson S100 Series; AMETEK Inc; United States of America). Results: The data were analyzed using one way ANOVA with Tukey’s Post Hoc test (p <0.05). Statistical analysis with One Way ANOVA test indicates a significant change in the value of surface roughness between the three groups. Tukey’s Post Hoc test with p=0.009 shows a significant difference in testing the effect of green tea essential oil mouthwash. Conclusion: Green tea essential oil mouthwash affected the surface roughness of RMGIC compared to lemon essential oil mouthwash. However, both did not have a significant difference with control groups.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Profitabilitas, Leverage dan Ukuran Perusahaan terhadap Nilai Perusahaan dengan Komisaris Independen sebagai variabel moderasi pada perusahaan perbankan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2020-2022. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 47 perusahaan. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan puposive sampling dan jumlah sampel yang diperoleh adalah sebanyak 43 perusahaan. Analisis datanya menggunakan aplikasi Smart PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profitabilitas, leverage dan ukuran perusahaan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terdahap nilai perusahaan.

Abstract

The migration of Indonesian workers abroad and that of foreign workers into Indonesia made problems for the economic growth of Indonesia and ASEAN. This study attempts to analyze the patterns of spatial interaction of labor that occur in Indonesia. It used the Euclidean distance, spatial weight matrix approach to calculate the Local Indicators of Spatial Association (LISA). This study took a sample of workers in ASEAN member countries with a focus on analysis on Indonesian workers during 2004-2018. Analysis was performed using spatial panel data. The results showed that there was a change in the pattern of spatial interaction of Indonesian workers, which in 2004 had a lot of spatial interactions with workers from countries with a large workforce. However, in 2018, they interacted spatially with workers from countries with few workers. Besides, the majority of Indonesian migrants work as low-ranking workers in ASEAN countries, while the majority of foreign workers from ASEAN countries work in managerial and professional levels. This implies that the Indonesian government needs to provide technical and managerial skills, soft skills, and English for migrant workers before working abroad so that they are better able to compete with foreign workers and subsequently receive better salaries.

Abstract

Coronavirus-2 (SARS-Cov-2) is a virus that attacks the respiratory system and causes the Covid-19 pandemic. After the pandemic, prevention and appropriate therapy research continue to be carried out to anticipate the emergence of more dangerous viruses. In line with the culture of consuming herbs that has arisen due to the effects of the pandemic, in this study, an insilico screening was carried out for essential oil compounds produced by ginger and thyme herbs which have been widely consumed by the public. The aim of the research was to find the essential oil content that has the most potential as an antiviral against coronavirus-2. The research method was carried out in silico, including ligand preparation, receptor and method validation, and analysis of ligand-receptor binding interactions using the AutoDoc 4.2.6 program. As a comparison, a study was conducted on remdesivir and favipiravir, which have been used as antivirals. The three components that have the most potential based on the calculation of the free energy value, were determined by the ADMET parameters using the Admet lab 2.0 program. The results showed that the three components in the essential oil exhibited better interactions when compared to remdesivir and favipiravir at the 3-Cl protease and spike glycoprotein receptors. The results of the insilico study and ADMET prediction test showed that of the three most potent compounds, lamda-farnesen was the most potent and safe to use

Abstract

Murder cases in Indonesia often occur but there is one murder case committed by law enforcers. This harms the public view of law enforcement officials. On the other hand, we must be able to see this murder case from the perspective of the murderer, one of whom is Richard Eliezer in the murder case of Brigadier Joshua Hutabarat. Richard Eliezer was a policeman who killed another policeman, Joshua. In this murder we must be able to see from different perspectives such as the perspective of psychology, sociology and society so that everyone can judge whether the penalty that Richard Eliezer recevied was proper or not. The purpose of this research is to examine from the criminological perspective the premeditated murder perpetrated by law enforcement officers against their aides who should be under their guidance. The methodology used is normative, reinforced by primary data, especially in the material of Court Decision no. 798/Pid.B/2022, statements from witnesses in this premeditated murder case. Then, analyze with secondary data and the law system in the police. It is found that psychology of abuse of power often involves analyzing the motivations and behaviors of individuals who abuse power, as well as the factors that influence and prevent such behavior related to the penalty imposed in the case law, seen from perspectives such as the psychology, sociology and society.

Abstract

Christ the King of Surabaya Parish through the Socio-Economic Development Section (PSE) in collaboration with Widya Mandala Catholic University Surabaya, was committed to assisting the Indonesian government's program in terms of improving the post-pandemic family economy through training in making health drinks from herbal ingredients, namely water kefir, which has been used as a probiotic drink. The training participants were underprivileged families in the Parish of Christ the King Surabaya. The training was carried out for 1 day with presentation of material by the team, training implementation and training evaluation by filling out pre-tests, post-tests and questionnaires as well as 30 days of assistance for participants who were interested in developing products to improve their economy. The results of the training show high enthusiasm from the participants, an increase in the knowledge of the participants which was marked by an increase in the value of the posttest compared to the pretest and the desire of the participants to produce and market products to improve the family economy

Abstract

Abstract: One of the IT applications utilized by the community is Microsoft Office. This application helps various parties in supporting the learning process in schools and is used by various parties for office work needs in processing words, numbers and presentations. Understanding and mastering this application is a basic ability that must be owned by every individual in the present. As is the case with students at SMA Letjen Haryono MT while studying at school. However, the use of Office has not been maximized by them. They were only introduced to Microsoft Office applications but did not understand how to use them. Therefore, students need to be equipped with additional learning that focuses on using Microsoft Office as a medium to assist student learning and also prepares students to take advantage of this application in the future. The features available in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Power Point are also less known by students. Departing from this, it is necessary to equip students with learning about Microsoft Office applications. Learning activities provide a range of 77% through questionnaires filled out by students which means that the training provided provides good knowledge benefits to the 28 students who take part in the training. The target planned by the implementation team was achieved where students were assisted in understanding and learning to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point applications.           Keywords: education; information technology; microsoft office Abstrak: Salah satu penerapan TI yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat adalah Microsoft Office. Aplikasi ini membantu berbagai pihak dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran di sekolah serta dimanfaatkan berbagai pihak untuk kebutuhan pekerjaan kantoran dalam pengolahan kata, angka serta presentasi. Pemahaman dan penguasaan aplikasi ini merupakan kemampuan dasar yang wajib dimiliki oleh tiap individu di masa sekarang. Seperti halnya dengan murid-murid di SMA Letjen Haryono MT selama belajar di sekolah. Tetapi, penggunaan Office belum dimaksimalkan oleh mereka. Mereka hanya diperkenalkan aplikasi Microsoft Office tetapi kurang memahami cara penggunaannya. Oleh karena itu, maka murid perlu dibekali dengan pembelajaran tambahan yang berfokus pada penggunaan Microsoft Office sebagai media untuk membantu pembelajaran murid dan juga mempersiapkan murid manfaatkan aplikasi ini di masa mendatang. Fitur-fitur yang tersedia di Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, dan Microsoft Power Point juga kurang diketahui oleh murid-murid. Berangkat dari hal tersebut, maka perlu melengkapi murid dengan pembelajaran akan aplikasi Microsoft Office. Kegiatan pembelajaran memberikan nilai range 77% lewat kuesioner yang diisi murid yang berarti pelatihan yang diberikan memberikan manfaat pengetahuan yang baik kepada 28 murid yang mengikuti pelatihan. Abstract

This research explores the influence of financial performance on the shares of companies conducting an Initial Public Offering (IPO) and analyzes the influence of leverage, company size, managerial ownership structure, and board educational background on share price volatility. This study is based on signal theory and focuses on new economy and non-new economy industries that conduct IPOs between 2021 and 2022. Using financial data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) website, the population of e-commerce companies consists of 3 companies, while The sample of non-e-commerce companies consists of 12 companies. The research results show that leverage has a positive effect on stock price volatility.

Abstract

Minyak jelantah merupakan limbah cair hasil dari penggorengan yang umumnya tidak dimanfaatkan lagi, jika dibuang secara langsung dapat menghasilkan pencemaran lingkungan yang serius. Oleh sebab itu, perlu dilakukan sebuah upaya pelestarian lingkungan terhadap limbah minyak jelantah seperti memanfaatkan kembali limbah tersebut menjadi bahan yang lebih bermanfaat dan bernilai lebih tinggi. Pemanfatan kembali limbah minyak jelantah dilakukan dengan masyarakat sekitar kampus bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi mengenai bahaya minyak jelantah bagi kesehatan dan kelestarian lingkungan serta potensi minyak jelantah sebagai bahan dasar dalam pembuatan lilin aromaterapi yang bernilai ekonomis. Metode yang digunakan terdiri dari beberapa tahapan mulai dari pemetaan permasalahan, persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan berupa pemberian materi, diskusi, dan praktik. Pada pelaksanaan kegiatan, peserta dibagi menjadi kelompok kecil berjumlah 4-5 orang. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa materi kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelatihan telah berhasil diterima dengan baik oleh para peserta yang dibuktikan melalui peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 30% (berdasarkan nilai pre-test dan post-test) dan sebanyak 70% peserta memperoleh nilai post-test ≥ 80. Dengan kata lain, kegiatan abdimas ini telah berhasil dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan serta menambah ide usaha bagi para peserta agar mampu dalam membuat secara mandiri lilin aromaterapi yang berbahan dasar limbah minyak jelantah.

Abstract

Minyak angin aromaterapi menggunakan bahan baku utama yaitu minyak esensial (minyak atsiri) beraroma harum yang di ekstrak dari tanaman menggunakan metode destilasi. Minyak angin aromaterapi digunakan untuk meringankan gejala sakit kepala, masuk angin, menghangatkan dan merilekskan tubuh serta menenangkan pikiran. Kegiatan abdimas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan peserta terkait manfaat dan cara pembuatan minyak angin roll on aromaterapi. Kegiatan abdimas ini dihadiri oleh 21 peserta yang dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok kecil. Terlebih dahulu dilakukan tahap persiapan yang meliputi penyiapan alat dan bahan hingga penyiapan wadah kemasan menggunakan botol roll on. Selanjutnya, pada tahap pelaksanaan dimulai dengan paparan informasi tentang manfaat minyak angin aromaterapi serta pelatihan cara pembuatannya. Minyak angin aromaterapi yang telah dibuat, dikemas dengan menggunakan botol roll on untuk memudahkan penggunaannya karena dapat langsung di hirup melalui hidung atau dioleskan pada kulit tanpa mengotori tangan penggunanya. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa materi kegiatan abdimas ini berhasil diterima dengan baik oleh para peserta yang dibuktikan melalui peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 40% dan sebanyak 80% peserta memperoleh nilai post-test ≥ 85 Dengan kata lain, dapat dikatakan bahwa kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan wawasan serta menambah ide usaha bagi para peserta agar mampu membuat secara mandiri minyak angin roll on aromaterapi.
