Abstract

This article discusses the potential and challenges of improving the accessibility of education in developing countries through the use of technology. With technology, traditional obstacles such as limited physical resources and teaching staff can be overcome, enabling wider and more equitable access to high-quality educational materials. However, significant challenges remain, including limited technological infrastructure, low levels of digital literacy, and resistance to change from the traditional education system. To overcome these obstacles, collaborative efforts are needed between the government, the private sector, and international organisations in building adequate infrastructure, providing digital literacy training, and implementing policies that support the accessibility of technology-based education. With a sustainable and strategic approach, technology can play an important role in improving the quality and accessibility of education in developing countries. The study in this research uses the literature method. The literature research method is an approach used to collect, review, and analyse various written sources, such as books, journal articles, research reports, and other documents relevant to a particular research topic. Research shows that improving the accessibility of education in developing countries through technology offers great potential for overcoming traditional obstacles, such as limited physical resources and teaching staff. The implementation of technology is able to provide high-quality educational materials more widely, enabling students from remote areas to access the same information as students in large cities.

Abstract

Forecasting financial market prices, particularly foreign exchange (forex) rates, remains a substantial difficulty due to the market's inherent unpredictability, intricacy, and turbulent characteristics. By combining the Temporal Convolutional Network (TCN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) models into a hybrid framework, this study overcomes this difficulty and improves prediction accuracy.  The MinMaxScaler function was used to standardize the input data prior to training, bringing all values into a range between 0 and 1.  An 80% training segment and a 20% testing segment were then separated from the prepared dataset.  We tested two different hybrid architectures, the LSTM-TCN and the TCN-LSTM, with the EUR/USD, AUD/USD, and GBP/USD value pairs.  With uniform parameters applied to both models during training, the Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) measure was used for all performance evaluations in order to ensure a fair comparison and determine which model was better. The LSTM-TCN architecture proved to be the superior predictor on the testing set. It recorded a lower average RMSE of 0.003911. This result contrasts with the TCN-LSTM model's performance, which yielded a higher average RMSE of 0.004181.

Abstract

In the digital era, financial technology has become an essential part of everyday life, particularly for students who are highly adaptive to innovations such as electronic wallets. This study aims to analyze the effect of perceived usefulness (PU) on the use of the DANA e-wallet among students of Universitas Dinamika Bangsa (UNAMA), with perceived ease of use (PEOU) as a mediating variable. The research employed a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires and analyzing the data using SmartPLS. The findings reveal that PU significantly influences both PEOU and actual use (AU). However, PEOU does not have a significant effect on AU, and PU through PEOU also does not significantly influence AU. These results indicate that although perceived usefulness is the primary factor driving e-wallet adoption, perceived ease of use does not act as a strong mediating variable. This study recommends that e-wallet providers focus on enhancing useful features and offering user education to improve the experience and adoption of financial technology among students.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to deploy, and commission decentralized drinking-water service points for a river-dependent community on Kemarau Island, Palembang, supporting Sustainable Development Goal 6 by expanding access to treated water at low operating cost. A needs-based field procedure included a site survey, raw-water intake assessment, demand and electrical-load estimation, UF–solar pumping system design, component selection, and installation of a 300 Wp photovoltaic array (3×100 Wp), a 100 Ah battery, a controller/inverter unit, a 450 W pump, an ultrafiltration (UF) unit, and 250 L/600 L storage tanks. The system then underwent commissioning tests (leak checks, pump start–stop tests, and continuous-run trials), operator training, and formal handover to the neighbourhood association. Results showed stable operation of the intake pump–UF pump–storage tank series. The 250 L treated-water tank filled within 20–30 minutes, indicating an effective flow rate of 8.3–12.5 L/min (≈500–750 L/h). Water appeared clearer and odourless, and pH increased from 5.5 (raw water) to 6.9 (treated water). The system demonstrated service readiness and initial treatment performance and may reduce reliance on grid/diesel pumping; however, routine logs and scheduled laboratory testing for turbidity and microbiological indicators are required to verify long-term water safety.
