Abstract

Principals as supervisors are required to have knowledge, attitudes, and skills in management and leadership so that they can carry out their duties, in this case carrying out managerial supervision. This study aims to explain the principal's managerial supervision program in improving school performance, implementation of managerial supervision, evaluation of the implementation of managerial supervision, and factors that influence the success and obstacles in implementing managerial supervision in schools. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation studies. The research subjects were the principal, vice principal, teachers and school supervisors. The research results show that: (1) The school program is prepared or planned at the time of the new school year work meeting, which contains the principal's supervision program. The supervision program includes a schedule for the implementation of supervision; (2) managerial supervision by the principal in its implementation has not been so maximal; (3) Evaluation of managerial supervision is carried out by looking at the performance of teachers and staff. Meanwhile, the follow-up actions taken are verbal warnings, other than personal reprimands will also be delivered at a general meeting; (4) Supporting factors include support from the local government, the education office and school supervisors as well as the willingness of school residents to learn and improve their quality. Inhibiting factors include the limited time of the principal and also the lack of community support for the school.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of academic supervision and teacher performance assessment, through programs, implementation and evaluation of academic supervision planning and teacher performance assessment. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation. The research subjects were the principal, vice principal and teachers at SMA Negeri 3 Timang Gajah Bener Meriah. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis, while the data processing steps are data reduction, data display, and conclusions and data verification. Abstract

21st-century learning requires students to be equipped to process and use the information activities such as applying the CIRC learning model assisted by flipping book media. This study aims to determine the application of the CIRC learning model assisted by flipping book media to improve science learning outcomes. The research design used was the pretest-posttest control group. The population of this study was eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 and SMPN 2 Simeulue Timur because, based on data and observations, science learning outcomes were still low and taught using a teacher-centered model. The sample was determined using the purposing technique Sampling, which resulted in 108 students divided into two classes. The results showed that the N-Gain value of the experimental class was 56.96 and the control class was 28,04 and thit> ttab (9.42 > 1.98), indicating differences in the increase in cognitive learning outcomes of the two types of classes.

Abstract

Sistem Pendidikan nasional yang diselenggarakan di Aceh sesuai dengan Qanun berdasarkan pada nilai-nilai budaya islami membuat sekolah melaksanakan pengembangan potensi siswa dengan mengedepankan nilai-nilai islami. Hal tersebut dapat terwujud salah satunya dengan menggunakan bahan ajar atau modul yang terintegrasi. Berdasarkan dari hasil observasi pada salah satu sekolah di SMA di Banda Aceh menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang digunakan hanya buku paket fisika yang belum terintegrasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan bahan ajar modul berbasis integrasi islam dan sains yang valid, praktis dan efektif pada materi gerak lurus. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development dengan menggunakan model Sugiyono. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar validasi, observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, angket respon peserta didik serta soal pre-tes dan pos-tes. Uji coba di lakukan pada kelas X MIPA 3 dengan jumlah 29 orang peserta didik. Hasil penelitian diperoleh kevalidan dengan kategori sangat valid, untuk kepraktisan berdasarkan hasil observasi didapat dengan kualifikasi sangat baik, sedangkan untuk keefektifan dilihat dari uji N-gain pre-tes dan pos-tes mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata 0,67 pada kategori sedang dan mendapat respon yang positif dari hasil analisis angket peserta didik. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa modul materi gerak lurus yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif.

Abstract

The high-order thinking ability of students is currently a problem that is so difficult to improve because it must be extra developed in teaching and learning activities. This can happen because students do not often improve their higher order thinking in everyday life and in the learning process. Most students tend to have difficulty solving problems when the lecturer gives problems with a higher level of difficulty than usual. The cause of this problem needs to be investigated. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and higher-order thinking skills of students of the Department of Physics Education, FKIP USK. The approach used is a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational type of research. The sample of this study was the 2019 USK FKIP Physics Education students which consisted of 71 students. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and tests. Questionnaire and test data were analyzed by descriptive analysis and Product Moment correlation analysis. The results showed that self-efficacy had a relationship with higher-order thinking skills (Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.001 0.05). It is recommended that future studies use more samples so that the results of the analysis obtained will be more accurate

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada materi kalor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experimental, dengan desain jenis pretest-posttest control group design. Subyek penelitian diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X-IA3 dan kelas X-IA5 di SMA Negeri 11 Banda Aceh. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes pilihan ganda. Data dianalisis menggunakan program Microsoft Excel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem solving dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik dengan pretes 70, posttes 100 dan n-gain 90,17. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model problem solving efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik.

Abstract

Abstrak. Peranan ilmu fisika dalam proses pembelajaran agar siswa dapat menumbuhkan keteramplan berpikir kritis dalam memecahkan persoalan sehari-hari. Penerapan pembelajaran fisika yang menarik akan meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model generatif berbasis PhET dalam pembelajaran fisika terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan motivasi siswa pada materi gelombang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa quasi experiment. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIA yang berjumlah 227 siswa, sedangkan teknik pemilihan sampel berupa purposive  sampling. Teknik ini ditentukan berdasarkan nilai akhir ujian yang dimuliki oleh setiap kelas, kemudian membandingkan untuk memilih kelas yang memiliki hasil belajar dengan nilai rata-rata yang sama. Sampel dalam penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu siswa kelas XI MIA 2 berjumlah 33 siswa dan XI MIA 5 yang berjumlah 34 siswa. Prosedur pengumpulan data menggunakan soal KBK dan angket motivasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji t test dan rumus persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui model pembelajaran generatif berbasis PhET diperoleh N-gain KBK 1 sebesar 0,55 atau 55% kriteria sedang, KBK 2 sebesar 0,63 atau 63% kriteria sedang, KBK 3 sebesar 0,73 atau 73% kriteria tinggi, KBK 4 dan KBK 5 sebesar 0,60 atau 60% kriteria sedang, selanjutnya KBK 6 sebesar 0,71 atau 71% kriteria tinggi. Motivasi siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran generatif pada keempat indikator termasuk dalam kategori setuju. Hasil dari keempat indikator terdiri dari perhatian pembelajar diperoleh 4,23, membangun relevansi 4,17, kepercayaan diri 4,15 dan kepuasan 4,21.Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah model generatif berbasis PhET dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dan motivasi belajar siswa menjadi lebih baik.Kata Kunci:Model Generatif, PhET, Keterampilan berpikir Kritis, dan Motivasi Abstract. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the PhET-based generative model in physics learning on critical thinking skills and student motivation on wave material. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental. The population in this study were 227 XI MIA students, while the sample selection technique was purposive sampling. The sample in this study consisted of two classes, namely students of class XI MIA 2 totaling 33 students and XI MIA 5 totaling 34 students. Data collection procedures using KBK questions and motivation questionnaires. The data analysis technique was performed using t test and percentage formula. The results showed that students' critical thinking skills through generative learning models based on PhET obtained N-gain KBK 1 of 0.55 or 55% moderate criteria, KBK 2 of 0.63 or 63% moderate criteria, KBK 3 of 0.73 or 73 % high criteria, KBK 4 and KBK 5 are 0.60 or 60% criteria are medium, then KBK 6 is 0.71 or 71% high criteria. Student motivation through the application of generative learning models to the four indicators included in the agreed category. The results of the four indicators consisting of student attention were obtained 4.23, building relevance 4.17, confidence 4.15 and satisfaction 4.21. The conclusion in this study is that the generative model based on PhET can improve students 'critical thinking skills and students' motivation to learn better. Keywords: Generative Models, PhET, Critical Thinking Skills, and Motivation

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep adalah kemampuan seseorang dalam mengartikan, menjelaskan atau mengaplikasikan suatu hal berdasarkan pengetahuan yang telah dipelajari. Tes diagnostik adalah suatu alat yang dapat digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa. Tes yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tes diagnostik three-tier multiple choice dan dikombinasikan dengan media CBT MOODLE. Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan kajian untuk mengidentifikasi tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi hidrokarbon dengan menggunakan tes diagnostik three-tier multiple choice berbasis CBT MOODLE. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 89 orang siswa kelas XI-MIPA SMAN 8 Banda Aceh. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa 16 butir soal tes diagnostik three-tier multiple choice. Analisis data untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa menggunakan metode certainty of respons index (CRI).  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa rata-rata siswa yang paham konsep terhadap materi hidrokarbon adalah 30,1% dan dikategorikan bahwa tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa gagal. Rata-rata siswa yang tidak paham konsep terhadap materi hidrokarbon sebesar 47,3%, siswa yang miskonsepsi sebesar 16% dan error sebesar 6,6%. Secara keseluruhan dapat dinyatakan bahwa siswa belum memahami materi hidrokarbon dengan benar sebesar 69,9%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman representasi siswa pada materi gerak lurus, penelitian yang menggunakan metode pra experimen dengan desain jenis one group pretest and posttest. Subjek penelitian diambil dengan cara teknik random sampling dengan melibatkan 45 siswa dalam pembelajaran kerangka multi representasi IF-SO dan modifikasi model PBM yang dikembangkan oleh Arends. Data diperoleh dari bentuk soal multiple choices berdasarkan indikator pemahaman Anderson Krathwohl. Pengolahan data menggunakan Microsoft excel 2010 menggunakan persamaan N-gain, untuk interprestasi kriteria pemahaman dengan model Hake. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman representasi siswa pada materi gerak lurus melalui format verbal pada kategori rendah, format matematik pada kategori rendah, format grafik pada kategori sedang, dan format gambar pada kategori rendah, untuk nilai rata-rata posttest siswa tertinggi pada format verbal, matematik, dan gambar, sedangkan format grafik masih rendah, hal ini disebabkan kemampuan awal siswa masih rendah. Setelah diterapkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan multi representasi diperoleh N-gain sedang dan sangat berdampak pada kemampuan pemahaman siswa pada format grafik.
