Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the management of female boarding school students in implementing regulations at the Assa'adah Modern Islamic Boarding School in Serang, Banten, with a focus on the four main functions of management: planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. The present research adopts a qualitative approach, employing a case study methodology, with data sources consisting of the head of female student care (1 person), female student care staff (1 person), female teachers (1 person), and female students (2 people), totaling five informants selected through a purposive sampling technique. The research was conducted over two months, involving intensive observation in the natural setting of the boarding school environment. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data was obtained from the head of the female dormitory, care staff, female teachers, and female students. The data was then analyzed using ATLAS.ti software to ensure the accuracy and precision of the data analysis. The findings indicate that the management of female students' care in implementing regulations has been carried out systematically and structurally, and can respond to various challenges that arise in the process of internalizing regulations. Program planning is carried out in a participatory manner, taking into account the actual needs and diversity of the female students' characters. The organizational process demonstrates clear and coordinated task distribution, as well as the active involvement of the student organization in the implementation of educational activities. The implementation stages emphasize exemplary behavior, persuasive communication, and interpersonal approaches that foster emotional closeness between caregivers and female students. Concurrently, evaluations are conducted in a progressive, comprehensive, and continuous manner through formative and summative assessments. These assessments incorporate corrective mechanisms, as well as recognition and appreciation.

Abstract

Teacher competence is a critical factor in educational success, yet traditional training methods often lack interactive and contextual relevance. This study aimed to improve teacher competence by developing a novel training model facilitated by school supervisors. Employing a research and development (RD) methodology, the study involved 15 teachers: 3 for small-group trials and 12 for large-group trials. Data were collected through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). The research procedure included an analysis of current training practices, literature review on LMS-based Coaching, Mentoring, and Consulting (CMC) training using the MKPS flow, design and validation of the training model, iterative trials, and final model development. The study demonstrated that the LMS-based CMC training model effectively enhanced teacher competence. The model emphasized interactive mentoring by school supervisors and collaborative learning among teachers. It differed from conventional one-way training by fostering active engagement, contextual relevance, and problem-solving skills. The training addressed real-world challenges, enabling teachers to integrate learned skills into classroom practices. The CMC model promotes teacher reflection, independence, and continuous professional development. Unlike traditional methods, it encourages dynamic interaction and skill application in authentic teaching contexts, ensuring sustainability and relevance of the competencies developed. The LMS-based CMC training model provides a comprehensive and innovative approach to teacher development, supporting ongoing skill-building and collaboration, which are essential for long-term educational improvement.

Abstract

Collaborative leadership in elementary schools is seen as strategic to address the complexity of education management, although its implementation still faces various challenges. This study systematically examines the collaborative leadership practices of elementary school principals with a focus on principles, managerial strategies, and implementation barriers. A literature review of 14 articles published from 2019 to 2025 obtained through google scholar, Sinta, Garuda, and ScienceDirect. Selection is based on topic relevance, school context, and focus on collaborative leadership. Collaborative leadership is rooted in participation, openness, and shared responsibility. The principal acts as a facilitator who encourages the involvement of teachers, staff, parents, and curriculum development. Prominent strategies include role sharing, deliberation, professional coaching, and external collaboration. The main obstacles are individualistic work culture, limited leadership capacity, and lack of policy support. The success of collaborative leadership is not only determined by the principal's vision, but also by the ability to build a sustainable collaborative climate. These findings contribute to the educational leadership literature and practical implications for principals and policymakers. Further research is suggested to explore the impact of collaborative leadership on student learning outcomes and teacher professional development.

Abstract

The era of global educational transformation demands integration of instructional leadership with Total Quality Management (TQM). The research gap lies in the limited qualitative studies exploring critical bridge nodes as leverage points for organizational transformation. This study aims to explore the implementation of instructional leadership integrated with TQM through the identification of bridge nodes in Indonesian educational organizational communication networks. The research uses a qualitative approach with a single case study design in a senior high school. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with eight informants using purposive sampling. Analysis used ATLAS.ti with a qualitative network analysis approach to identify bridge nodes and communication network patterns. The research identified three main findings: universal consensus (100%) on the effectiveness of principal feedback; significant conceptual divergence (57.1%) in educational quality definitions reflecting organizational maturity; and three critical bridge nodes, namely open communication culture, constructive feedback, and holistic quality, as vital coordination mechanisms. TQM principles can be effectively applied in the Indonesian educational context through responsive adaptation to local cultural characteristics. The identified bridge nodes become strategic leverage points for sustainable organizational transformation.
