Abstract

This study examines hegemonic power relations within intra-campus student organizations in Indonesia by analyzing senior–junior interactions as represented in satirical journalistic content published by Mojok.co between January 2024 and August 2025. Using a qualitative library research design and content analysis, the study is theoretically grounded in Michel Foucault’s concept of power–knowledge relations and Antonio Gramsci’s theory of hegemony. The findings demonstrate that power operates predominantly through symbolic and discursive mechanisms rather than overt coercion, where seniority is constructed as a legitimate source of authority that enables seniors to define organizational norms and moral values such as loyalty, discipline, and obedience. These values are internalized by junior members through everyday discourse and organizational rituals, resulting in the normalization of hierarchical relations and the perception of domination as a form of consensus. The study concludes that intra-campus student organizations function not only as spaces for leadership development but also as arenas for the reproduction of hegemonic power, in which regeneration processes tend to perpetuate inequality by reproducing existing senior–junior hierarchies rather than fostering critical and egalitarian organizational practices.

Abstract

Abstract Guidance and training efforts for members of the Indonesian National Police are essential for achieving professionalism. This study aims to examine the role of the Professional and Security Division of the West Kalimantan Police in enforcing the code of ethics to achieve professionalism, as well as the obstacles encountered. Using empirical legal research and primary and secondary data sources, this study concludes that, after receiving reports or complaints from the public regarding various code of ethics violations allegedly committed by police officers, the Professional and Security Division of the West Kalimantan Police promptly processed them in accordance with established regulations. The obstacles encountered were external, such as a lack of public support; internal, such as negative solidarity among police officers; and technical, such as a lack of validity and legality of evidence. Keywords: Code of ethics; Police; Professionalism Abstrak Upaya pembinaan dan pelatihan yang dilakukan kepada anggota Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia sangat dibutuhkan guna terwujudnya profesionalisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas mengenai peran Bidang Profesi dan Pengamanan Kepolisian Daerah Kalimantan Barat dalam penegakan kode etik demi mewujudkan profesionalisme serta hambatan yang dihadapi. Dengan menggunakan penelitian hukum empiris dan sumber data berupa data primer dan data sekunder, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Bidang Profesi dan Pengamanan Kepolisian Daerah Kalimantan Barat setelah menerima laporan atau pengaduan yang datang dari masyarakat atas berbagai pelanggaran kode etik yang diduga telah dilakukan oleh anggota kepolisian dengan segera diproses sesuai dengan aturan yang ditetapkan. Adapun hambatan yang dihadapi adalah bersifat eksternal seperti kurangnya dukungan masyarakat; bersifat internal seperti adanya solidaritas negatif sesama anggota kepolisian; serta bersifat teknis seperti kurangnya validitas dan legalitas alat bukti. Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini bermula dari problematika kehidupan, diantaranya adalah timbulnya berbagai perbuatan tercela saat ini yang merugikan Masyarakat dengan menganalisis ayat-ayat hati yang tertutup dalam Tafsir Al-Munir kemudian relevansi penafsiran Wahbah Az-Zuhaili terhadap ayat-ayat yang terkait dengan konteks kekinian. Kemudian penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan antara ayat-ayat hati yang tertutup menurut Wahbah Az-Zuhaili dengan konteks kehidupan saat ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kepustakaan (library research), menggunakan sumber data primer berupa kitab Tafsir Al-Munir karya Wahbah Az-Zuhaili dan data sekunder berupa jurnal ilmiah, artikel dan buku yang berkaitan dengan judul. Dan penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis yaitu mengumpulkan ayat-ayat hati yang tertutup kemudian menganalisisi ayat yang terkait dengan relevansi saat ini. Hati yang tertutup ialah hati yang terkunci oleh Allah Ta’ala karena kemunafikan dan keingkaran mereka orang-orang unafik dan orang kafir terhadap ayat-ayat Allah Ta’ala dan ajaran-ajaran yang telah disampaikan Nabi Muhammad. Saat ini, banyak Masyarakat yang melakukan perbuatan tercela seperti kriminalitas dan kenakalan remaja yang mengakibatkan hati mereka tertutup dari kebenaran dan tidak memiliki orientasi kebaikan, apabila pelaku melakukan aksi perbuatan tersebut secara terus menerus, menyebabkan hati mereka tertutup dari nasehat baik dari lingkungan sekitar.

Abstract

Religious extremism (ghuluw) represents a critical theological and social challenge requiring contextual interpretation of Qur'anic texts. This research investigates the conceptualization of ghuluw through comparative exegetical analysis, examining interpretations from classical scholars (Al-Ṭabari, Al-Razi) and contemporary commentators (Al-Maraghi, Quraish Shihab, Hamka, Ṭabaṭaba'i) regarding QS. Al-Nisa' [4]:171 and QS. Al-Ma'idah [5]:77. Employing library research methodology with thematic (mawdu'i) and comparative approaches, this study positions Al-Maraghi's Tafsir as the primary analytical framework, complemented by systematic cross-referencing of six major exegetical works spanning classical and modern periods. The research identifies three principal findings: 1) ghuluw emerges from the interplay of theological misconceptions, unchecked desires (hawa nafsu), and rational deficit in religious understanding; 2) classical and contemporary exegetes demonstrate convergent emphasis on wasaṭiyyah (moderation) as the foundational antithesis to extremist tendencies; 3) Al-Maraghi's adabi ijtima'i (socio-literary) methodology provides actionable frameworks for addressing contemporary polarization phenomena in Indonesian Muslim communities. Empirical contextualization through documented cases—including the Sampang sectarian conflict (2012) and intolerance survey data—illustrates the persistent relevance of Qur'anic prohibitions against religious excess. This investigation transcends normative-theological discourse by integrating textual exegesis with socio-political analysis, thereby contributing a dual-function scholarship: deepening theoretical understanding of ghuluw while simultaneously offering practical deradicalization strategies rooted in Islamic moderation principles. The study's significance lies in bridging the gap between classical hermeneutics and contemporary challenges of religious extremism, radicalism, and sectarian fragmentation within Indonesia's pluralistic context.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of Akidah Ahlak learning with the Pancasila and Rahmatan lil Alamin Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5/PPRa) in building moral and national character in madrasahs. With a qualitative descriptive approach, this study examines the process of internalizing the values of faith, piety, and noble morals that are in line with moderate, tolerant, and inclusive characters as emphasized in P5/PPRa. The results of the study indicate that although the implementation of the program still encounters obstacles, such as minimal teacher understanding and limited facilities, this integration has begun to show a positive impact on the formation of student character. Contextual project activities are able to encourage student involvement in social and religious activities. From these findings, it is recommended that collaboration between teachers, students, and stakeholders is important in developing a curriculum that combines religious and national values to strengthen student identity in the global era

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the phenomenon of stereotypes and prejudices in pluralistic societies and examine the role of Islamic education in building an inclusive and tolerant learning environment in Indonesia. The approach used is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical design through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies in Islamic educational institutions in Lombok. The research subjects include Islamic Religious Education teachers, school principals, and students from diverse backgrounds who were selected purposively. The results of the study show that stereotypes and prejudices still appear in students' social interactions, influenced by internal and external factors such as family environment, media, and limitations of cross-group interaction. Islamic education has a strategic role in reducing prejudice through the internalization of the values of tasamuh, 'adl, and ukhuwah insaniyah, which are implemented through dialogical learning, contextual curriculum, and inclusive school culture. In addition, the role of teachers as agents of social change and school leadership support are key factor in the successful implementation of inclusive education. This research emphasizes that Islamic education not only functions as a transmission of religious values but also as an instrument of social transformation in building harmony in a multicultural society.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam mengatasi stereotip etnis dan resistensi sosial antara komunitas Madura dan Tionghoa di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB), Indonesia. Relasi antaretnis di wilayah multikultural sering menghadapi tantangan berupa prasangka, eksklusivisme sosial, dan jarak interaksi yang berpotensi menghambat kohesi sosial. Dalam konteks tersebut, PAI memiliki potensi strategis sebagai instrumen transformasi nilai melalui internalisasi ajaran Islam tentang ukhuwah, keadilan, toleransi, dan penghargaan terhadap keberagaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi di beberapa sekolah menengah, madrasah, serta komunitas masyarakat di NTB. Informan terdiri atas guru PAI, tokoh masyarakat, siswa, dan perwakilan komunitas Madura serta Tionghoa. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa stereotip etnis muncul dalam bentuk labeling ekonomi, prasangka budaya, dan segregasi sosial. Namun, implementasi PAI berbasis multikultural melalui dialog lintas budaya, pembelajaran kolaboratif, serta keteladanan guru terbukti mampu menurunkan prasangka dan meningkatkan interaksi sosial positif. Kendala utama meliputi kurikulum yang masih normatif, minimnya pelatihan guru, dan keterbatasan ruang perjumpaan antar kelompok. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan rekonstruksi pembelajaran PAI yang lebih kontekstual dan inklusif guna memperkuat harmoni sosial di masyarakat plural.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays an important role in fostering religious moderation among multicultural junior high school students. Moderation refers to a balanced religious attitude that avoids extremism, respects diversity, rejects violence, and promotes peaceful coexistence. This is particularly crucial during adolescence, when students are shaping their social and religious identities. Before implementing moderation-based learning, many students viewed religion in a formalistic way, focusing mainly on rituals rather than values like empathy, respect, and responsibility. They often judged peers based on outward differences, highlighting the need for value-oriented religious education. To address this, PAI teachers integrated moderation values into existing topics such as moral teachings, social ethics, and Islamic history. By linking lessons to real-life examples, including the coexistence of diverse communities in Medina, students gained a more practical understanding of religious values. As a result, positive changes emerged: students became more respectful, open to different opinions, more collaborative, and showed reduced conflicts, indicating stronger social harmony.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the application of the index card match model to improve al-maḥaraḥ al-qiraah class VII students of MTs Maarif Al-Ishlaḥ, Bungkal. This type of research is a class action. Data collection by observation and tests. Data analysis with descriptive statistics. The results of the study showed that the use of an index card match-based active learning model was able to increase the maharah al-qiraah grade VII students of MTs Maarif Al-Ishlah Bungkal in the even semester of 2021/2022. The application of the index card match active learning model in the first cycle of maharah al-qiraah results for class VII students of MTs Maarif Al-Ishlah obtained an average score of 69.4. The increase in the average score occurred in cycle II, which was 85.2, this showed a significant increase.

Abstract

This research uses qualitative research, namely by examining textuality and describing the meaning of character education values ​​in the book Kalilah Wa Dimnah. Meanwhile, the approach to this research is library research. The data collection technique used in this research is the documentation technique. The researcher documented several documents that were considered relevant in the book, such as the choice of words, sentences, paragraphs, diction, and images that refer to character education values. Understood by oneself and others. Data analysis in this research uses content analysis. The use of content analysis aims to review library research. This analysis was obtained from data found in the book Kalilah Wa Dimnah, which was then related to the interpretation of semiotic signs from Charles Sanders Peirce's perspective. Armed with previous studies that convey good messages, researchers want to make new discoveries regarding character values. So that researchers and connoisseurs of the Kalilah Wa Dimnah story will increasingly gain insight into finding various implied messages. In the story text al-Bum wa al-Ghirbaan, the researcher describes the values ​​of character education with 16 value points. These values ​​include religious values, honesty, tolerance, working hard, creativity, independence, democracy, curiosity, national spirit, love of the country, respect for achievements, communication, love of peace, care for the environment, social care, and responsibility.
