Abstract

This research aims at revealing a clear depiction of figurative language, literature psychology and educational values of Novel Small Letters to God, Davonar Agnes’ work. It is kind of descriptive qualitative research method. And the source of data is by using Novel Small Letters to God, of Davonar Agnes’ work. The data which is used is the result of the researched annotation in the form of sentences containing figurative language and educational values of Novel Small Letters to God. Furthermore, the data collection was carried out by using literature technique or document. The analysis activity is begun from data reduction that allows the researcher to discharge and enter the useful data as well as triangulation which allows researcher to acquire the validity of the data. Thus, the reduced data as well as triangulation will provide a clear depiction and facilitate researchers for collecting the further data. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that Novel Small Letters To God has psychology, figurative language and educational values. Novel Small Letters To God, of Agnes Davonar’s work is found to have id, ego and super-ego. This novel uses figurative language as follows: hyperbole, personification, climax, irony, antithesis, satire, litotes, anastrophe, paronomasia, periphrasis, paralipsis, apostrophe, and contains the educational values, including religious, moral, and social value.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of humanistic learning theory on the quality of student learning outcomes, to analyze the influence of holistic education theory on the quality of student learning outcomes. This research method is a quantitative method with a survey, the population of this study were all teachers at Jembulwunut Elementary School and the respondents were 10 teachers selected using simple random sampling. The research data were obtained by distributing online questionnaires via Google Form, the questionnaire was designed to contain statement items with a Likert scale of 1 to 5. The data analysis of this study used SmartPLS software, the stages of data analysis were validity testing, reliability testing and hypothesis testing. The independent variables in this study are Humanistic Learning Theory and Holistic Education Theory, while the dependent variable is the quality of student learning outcomes. The results showed that Humanistic Learning Theory has a positive and significant relationship with the quality of student learning outcomes at Jembulwunut Elementary School and Holistic Education Theory has a positive and significant relationship with the quality of student learning outcomes at Jembulwunut Elementary School. The approach to educational philosophy and humanistic learning theory has a strategic role in improving the quality of education in the digital era. humanistic and holistic approaches can also be applied in digital-based curricula. For example, project-based learning integrated with technology can be designed to develop digital-age skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum in supporting anti-corruption education at SD Negeri 1 Pulongrambe, Tawangharjo District. The research method used is narrative qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. The results showed that the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum provides flexibility for teachers to integrate anti-corruption values in learning activities. This finding provides new insights into the effectiveness of the Merdeka Curriculum in shaping students character with integrity. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of policy support and teacher training in implementing anti-corruption education.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze the development of 4C competencies (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication) in the context of 21st-century learning as reflected in the Merdeka Curriculum textbook for Grade VI Elementary School published by Kemendikbudristek. The method used is content analysis with a qualitative approach. The primary data for this research consists of questions and exercises in the Grade VI Elementary School textbook compiled, published, and distributed by Kemendikbudristek. The research results indicate that this Indonesian language textbook for Grade VI allocates 42% of its development to critical thinking and problem-solving skills, 38% to creativity and originality, and 7% each to collaboration and communication skills. These findings were obtained through an in-depth analysis of the content of the respective textbook.

Abstract

This research discusses John Dewey's views on progressivism and differentiated learning, as well as the implementation of differentiated learning in the IPAS subject in elementary schools. This study uses a literature review method by referring to relevant books and scientific journals. This research produces meaningful information about the relationship between progressivism and differentiated learning, as well as the benefits of differentiated learning in the IPAS subject. The study concludes that progressivism is an educational perspective that supports a student-oriented education process and learning that continues to evolve with the times. Differentiated learning is learning that is tailored to the learning needs of students, based on their readiness to learn, learning profiles, interests, and talents. Differentiated learning can be carried out in several ways, including: content differentiation, process differentiation, product differentiation, and learning environment differentiation. Differentiated learning in the subject of IPAS can help students develop scientific, creative, and critical thinking skills in understanding concepts, phenomena, and issues related to nature. Differentiated learning in the IPAS subject can also facilitate students to explore, discover, and apply IPAS knowledge according to their interests and talents.

Abstract

Transformational leadership has become a leadership style that emphasizes change, inspiration, and empowerment. The transformational leadership style carried out by the principal has not yet gone hand in hand with the underlying values. This study aims to analyze the transformational leadership of the principal in the perspective of axiological philosophy. Especially related to ethical and aesthetic values ​​in decision making and teacher coaching. This study uses a qualitative approach method with the principal as the subject of research. And using literature study techniques from various references on educational philosophy and leadership management. Data were collected through participatory observation and school administrative documentation. The results of the analysis show that the axiology of transformational leadership emphasizes the importance of human values, justice, empathy, and beauty in forming a transformative and humanistic school climate. By integrating the philosophy of axiology, the principal's leadership is not only oriented towards achieving targets, but also forming the character and culture of the school that is meaningful morally and aesthetically. This finding confirms that the integration between the philosophy of values ​​and transformative leadership is not only theoretically ideal, but also real in practice in the field of education.

Abstract

Academic supervision is a crucial pillar in ensuring the quality of education, which currently tends to be administrative and normative in nature, falling short of the professional idealism grounded in empirical evidence. This study aims to analyze the gap between the concept of evidence-based academic supervision and its actual implementation in the field, particularly in elementary schools in Sukolilo District, and to examine the relevance of the philosophical foundation of realism. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study employs library research and field studies through observation, interviews, and document analysis in 40 elementary schools in the Sukolilo District. The findings show that 80% of supervision in Sukolilo still focuses on administrative document checks without classroom observation or data-based pedagogical feedback, creating anxiety among teachers and hindering improvements in teaching quality.  . Supervisi akademik merupakan pilar penting dalam penjaminan mutu pendidikan yang saat ini masih cenderung bersifat administratif dan normatif, jauh dari idealisme profesional berbasis bukti empiris. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesenjangan antara konsep supervisi akademik berbasis bukti dengan praktik di lapangan, khususnya di Sekolah Dasar Kecamatan Sukolilo, serta relevansi landasan filsafat realisme. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, studi ini menerapkan metode studi pustaka dan studi lapangan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen di 40 Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Sukolilo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 80% supervisi di Sukolilo masih berfokus pada pemeriksaan dokumen administratif tanpa observasi kelas atau umpan balik pedagogis berbasis data, menciptakan kecemasan bagi guru dan menghambat perbaikan kualitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of daily journal writing habits in improving the self-confidence of fifth-grade elementary school students in expressing their opinions through a philosophical education approach that includes ontological, epistemological, and axiological perspectives, as well as physiological, sociological, and anthropological principles. The research method used is qualitative descriptive based on literature review. The object of research is the concept of daily journal writing in the context of elementary education, while the subjects are fifth-grade elementary students in general. Data were collected through document studies of articles and books, and analyzed using content analysis with source triangulation for data validity. The results show that daily journals help increase students’ self-confidence by facilitating self-reflection, supporting knowledge construction, and instilling values of honesty and courage. These findings support the implementation of daily journals as a reflective learning strategy grounded in the philosophy of basic education. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kebiasaan jurnal harian dalam meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa kelas V sekolah dasar untuk mengemukakan pendapat dengan pendekatan filsafat pendidikan yang meliputi tinjauan ontologis, epistemologis, aksiologis, serta prinsip fisiologis, sosiologis, dan antropologis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif berbasis studi pustaka. Obyek penelitian adalah konsep kebiasaan jurnal harian dalam konteks pendidikan dasar, sedangkan subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V sekolah dasar secara umum. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi dokumentasi artikel dan observasi literatur ilmiah terkait. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis konten dengan triangulasi sumber untuk validitas data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jurnal harian mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa dengan memfasilitasi refleksi diri, membangun konstruksi pengetahuan, serta menanamkan nilai kejujuran dan keberanian. Temuan ini mendukung penerapan jurnal harian sebagai strategi pembelajaran reflektif yang berlandaskan filsafat pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the reading skills of elementary school students in Indonesian language learning. The research employs a qualitative method using a literature review approach by analyzing ten accredited journal articles focusing on reading difficulties among elementary students. Data were collected through documentation techniques and critically analyzed to identify patterns of reading challenges and effective strategies to address them. The findings show that students in lower grades predominantly face technical difficulties such as recognizing letters, reading syllables, and reading fluency, while students in higher grades encounter more complex problems related to reading comprehension and correct pronunciation. Internal factors such as memory weakness, low motivation, and lack of concentration, along with external factors like limited literacy facilities and conventional teaching approaches, contribute significantly to students' reading difficulties. Persistent problems in reading are found to negatively affect students' academic achievements and psychological well-being. Therefore, early detection of reading difficulties, the application of adaptive and varied teaching strategies, and strong collaboration among teachers, schools, and parents are essential steps to enhance students' literacy skills and ensure academic success. This study highlights the urgent need for integrated efforts in improving reading abilities from the early stages of elementary education.
