Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh self-esteem terhadap resiliensi akademik pada mahasiswa semester akhir. Self-esteem didefinisikan sebagai evaluasi individu terhadap kualitas dirinya sendiri, sedangkan resiliensi akademik mengacu pada kemampuan individu untuk beradaptasi dan bangkit dari tantangan akademik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory (CSEI) dan Academic Resilience Scale (ARS- 30) yang telah diadaptasi. Sampel terdiri dari 150 mahasiswa dari tiga program studi: Pendidikan Jasmani, PGSD, dan Bimbingan Konseling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-esteem berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap resiliensi akademik (R² = 0,48, p 0,05). Mahasiswa dengan self-esteem tinggi lebih mampu mengelola tekanan akademik, seperti penyelesaian skripsi dan revisi yang sulit, serta lebih proaktif dalam mencari bantuan ketika menghadapi kesulitan. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa self-esteem merupakan faktor penting dalam membangun resiliensi akademik. Oleh karena itu, institusi pendidikan perlu mengembangkan program bimbingan dan konseling untuk meningkatkan self-esteem mahasiswa, khususnya di tahap akhir studi. Selain memberikan kontribusi dalam psikologi pendidikan, penelitian ini juga membuka peluang untuk studi lebih lanjut terkait faktor-faktor lain yang berpengaruh terhadap resiliensi akademik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam pola komunikasi antara orang tua dan anak dalam mengatasi perilaku menyimpang remaja melalui pendekatan studi literatur. Perilaku menyimpang pada remaja menjadi isu penting dalam perkembangan sosial masyarakat karena berkaitan dengan masa depan generasi muda. Komunikasi keluarga, khususnya antara orang tua dan anak, memegang peran signifikan dalam membentuk perilaku dan moral remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif berbasis literatur dengan menelaah berbagai artikel ilmiah dan hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relevan dari sumber terpercaya seperti Google Scholar. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pola komunikasi yang terbuka, empatik, dan didasari rasa saling percaya dapat mencegah dan mengurangi perilaku menyimpang remaja. Sebaliknya, pola komunikasi yang otoriter dan minim interaksi justru memperburuk perilaku negatif. Studi ini memberikan pemahaman teoritis dan praktis kepada para orang tua, pendidik, dan pembuat kebijakan dalam menangani permasalahan perilaku remaja di lingkungan keluarga.

Abstract

Changes in career interests last until they find a career field that is considered according to their potential and competence. Early adolescence is a time of searching, so their career interests are still changing. This study was conducted to determine changes in career interest in male and female students. The longitudinal study was conducted with two measurements, namely at the beginning of junior high school (grade VII) and at the end of school in junior high school (grade IX). The participants were 169 students consisting of 108 girls and 61 boys. The instrument used is RMIB (Rothwell Miller Interest Blank). Data analysis uses quantitative descriptive analysis to see changes in career interests that occur in each student. The results showed that there were 67.55% of students whose career interests changed or were not stable. More male students have stable career interests than female students. For male students, there are 49.18% of students whose interests are stable, while for female students, there are only 23.15% of students who are stable.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas Pemanfaatan Media Pop-Up sebagai intervensi dalam meningkatkan Keterampilan Komunikasi Anak TK B. Keterampilan komunikasi merupakan aspek fundamental yang sangat krusial, mempengaruhi perkembangan sosial, emosional, dan akademik anak pada rentang usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest dan melibatkan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen diberikan perlakuan menggunakan Media Pop-Up sebagai stimulus visual tiga dimensi dan interaktif, sementara kelompok kontrol menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Data observasi komparatif dianalisis untuk membandingkan peningkatan capaian keterampilan komunikasi, yang meliputi keterampilan Berbicara, Mendengarkan, dan Berinteraksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pemanfaatan Media Pop-Up efektif secara signifikan. Peningkatan tertinggi dicapai pada sub-indikator Keterampilan Berbicara (mencapai 34.38%), menunjukkan bahwa media interaktif ini berhasil mengatasi hambatan keberanian dan kelancaran anak dalam menyampaikan ide. Peningkatan yang juga signifikan terjadi pada Keterampilan Mendengarkan (31.25%) dan Keterampilan Berinteraksi (18.75%), menegaskan dampak positif media pop-up pada aspek reseptif dan sosial komunikasi. Selain itu, media ini mendorong perubahan positif pada Peran Guru dalam Memfasilitasi Pembelajaran (46.87%). Disimpulkan bahwa Media Pop-Up merupakan intervensi inovatif yang unggul dan terukur untuk meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi holistik anak TK B, sekaligus memberikan bukti empiris atas novelty penelitian.

Abstract

The phenomenon of fatherlessness—the absence of a father figure in child-rearing—has become an increasing social issue in the digital era. This condition not only affects children’s emotional balance but also weakens the family’s role in facing digital challenges. In response, this community service program aimed to enhance the awareness and parenting capacity of parents in Grinting Village, Tulangan District, Sidoarjo Regency through the Fatherless Education Program in the Digital Era. The implementation was carried out offline (face-to-face) from August to September 2025 through four main stages: (1) observation of fatherless phenomena in the community, (2) planning and preparation of educational materials, (3) socialization and training for parents, and (4) evaluation and program follow-up. A total of 40 participants—including parents, teachers, and women community group members—took part in the activities. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge, attitudes, and skills related to digital parenting. Parents became more capable of applying positive communication, supervising gadget use, and understanding the importance of the father’s presence in children’s development. Moreover, a community group called Digital Parenting Care was established as a platform for sharing and sustaining parenting practices. This program demonstrates that a participatory and contextual approach can serve as an effective strategy to strengthen family resilience and reduce the social impact of fatherlessness in the digital era.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of play therapy embedded in play activities in Kindergarten B children at Lintang Kindergarten Surabaya. Play therapy is a therapeutic activity given to children to overcome problems related to cooperation, socialization and emotions. This play therapy approach places more emphasis on non-verbals. This means that children aged 2 to 12 years can freely express the feelings they experience, through playing with toys, sand, dolls, clay, art, dance and natural music. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The research population was PAUD PG teachers at Lintang Kindergarten Surabaya. The research sample consisted of 2 teachers who taught class B. The choice of class B teachers was because, from the results of observations made, problems related to student socialization most often emerged in class B. The results of the research concluded that with play therapy, children become it is easier to express his feelings, becomes more relaxed and happy.

Abstract

Academic resilience and academic stress aim to maintain individual stability in dealing with all academic pressures by building resilience. The method used in this study is quantitative correlational. This study was located at Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya using the Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30) scale developed by Cassidy (2016) and the Educational Stress Scale for Adolescent (ESSA) scale Sun (2011). Using a non-probability sampling technique. The focus of the study was taken on respondents according to the characteristics in the study. Respondents in the study were 139 out of 140 populations. The results of the analysis using the correlational hypothesis test r = -508 with a significance of 0.000 with these results can be stated that there is a fairly strong relationship, or in other words Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Meaning that the higher the level of academic resilience possessed by final semester students, the lower the students' academic stress.

Abstract

Background: Student learning outcomes serve as a primary indicator of instructional effectiveness. However, variations in academic achievement are often influenced by individual characteristics, particularly learning styles. Understanding how visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning preferences relate to academic performance is essential for developing more responsive instructional approaches. Objective: This study aimed to examine the relationship between visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles and senior high school students’ learning outcomes. Method: A quantitative correlational design was employed involving 40 students. Data were collected through a Likert-scale learning style questionnaire and students’ report card scores. The data were analysed using Pearson product-moment correlation to determine the strength and significance of the relationships between variables. Result: The findings revealed significant positive correlations between learning styles and learning outcomes. The visual learning style showed a correlation coefficient of r = 0.421 (p = 0.008), the auditory learning style r = 0.356 (p = 0.024), and the kinesthetic learning style r = 0.389 (p = 0.014). These results indicate that students who effectively utilise their dominant learning styles tend to achieve higher academic performance. Conclusion: Learning styles are an essential internal factor influencing students’ academic achievement, though their impact interacts with other factors, such as physiological and psychological conditions, family support, school and community environments, and time management. Contribution: This study provides empirical evidence to support educators and schools in designing adaptive, multimodal, and student-centred instructional strategies to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Career maturity is a crucial indicator of the success of vocational education, particularly in vocational high schools (SMK), which are designed to prepare students for employment and further education. This study aims to empirically examine the effect of guidance and counseling career information services on students’ career maturity. The study is motivated by the phenomenon that many vocational students still experience career confusion, lack clear career planning, and have difficulty making realistic career decisions. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method with a causal-comparative design. The population consisted of 250 twelfth-grade students of SMK Negeri 53 Jakarta, with a sample of 152 students selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using validated and reliable Likert-scale questionnaires measuring career information services and career maturity. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression after meeting normality and linearity assumptions. The results indicate that career information services have a positive and significant effect on students’ career maturity, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and a coefficient of determination of 0.457. These findings suggest that career information services contribute 45.7% to students’ career maturity. Therefore, well-structured and continuous career information services play a strategic role in enhancing vocational students’ career maturity.
