Abstract

The rapid digital transformation in education has brought significant challenges and opportunities, particularly in integrating technology to improve learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Learning Management Systems (LMS) in enhancing student learning outcomes, focusing on the Education Management course. Using a quasi-experimental design, the research involved 18 students who underwent pre-test and post-test assessments. The results showed a significant improvement in learning outcomes, with the average post-test score (80.67) significantly higher than the pre-test score (54.89), supported by statistical analysis (sig. 0.000). The findings align with Al-Fraihat et al. (2020) and Sun et al. (2008), emphasizing the importance of LMS usability, content quality, and integration with active learning strategies. However, challenges such as the digital divide and lack of face-to-face interaction need addressing through equitable access to technology and hybrid learning models. The study concludes that LMS is an effective tool for digital learning transformation, recommending continuous content development, training, and periodic evaluation to maximize its potential.

Abstract

Structural Equation Model (SEM) was known as powerfull and popular multivariate analysis technique. It provides a comprehensive method for the quantification and testing of theories. The ability of this model is to test model with multiple dependent that more powerfull than multiple regression, it’s also can make some simultaneously model in one form. Data was used from Holzinger and Swineford that measured intellegence in several indicator. This model was lack of form and performance that can be showed in value of Chi-square. Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) and Chi-square value for specificly in  block “male” was less than “female”,  so the result gave structural model for block male was better than female.

Abstract

Extreme event such as extreme rainfall have been analyzed and most concern for the country all around the world. There are two common distribution for extreme value which are Generalized Extreme Value distribution and Generalized Pareto distribution. These two distribution have shown good performace to estimate the parameter of  extreme value. This research was aim to estimate parameter of extreme value using GEV distribution and GP distribution, and also to characterized effect of extreme event such as flood. The rainfall data was taken from BMKG for 5 location in DKI Jakarta. Both of distribution shown a good perfromance. The resut showed that Tanjung Priok station has biggest location parameter for GEV and also the biggest scale parameter for GP, that mean the biggest probability to take flood effect of the extreme rainfall.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze poverty using spatial models. The researchers also compared the Spatial Error Model (SEM) and Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR). The comparison of the two models was based on the estimation evaluation criteria and the constructed spatial associations. Spatial regression is considered very appropriate to be used to model the relationship pattern between poverty and explanatory variables when the observed data has a spatial effect caused by the proximity between the observation areas. The spatial dependence of errors on observational data can be overcome using SEM, while the effect of heterogeneity of spatial variance can overcome using GWR.
