Abstract

Pada saat ini banyak masyarakat pemakai sepeda motor belum puas akan performa kendaraan mereka saat berakselerasi.  Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis penggantian throttle body terhadap daya, torsi dan konsumsi bahan bakar yang dihasilkan sepeda motor. Objek penelitian ini  adalah sepeda motor Honda CB150R tahun 2018. Penelitian ini memakai metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, jenis deskriptif. Instrument pengujian daya dan torsi memakai alat dynamometer dan pengujian konsumsi bahan bakar dengan alat gelas buret. Hasil penelitian pada throttle body racing terdapat peningkatan daya, torsi dan konsumsi bahan bakar, daya meningkat 10.63 % dengan selisih 1.72 hp pada rpm 9000, torsi meningkat 1.19 % dengan selisih 0.16 Nm pada rpm 7000 dan konsumsi bahan bakar meningkat 2.98 % dengan selisih 1.18 Km/L, sehingga jarak tempuh yang dihasilkan lebih pendek dibandingkan dengan menggunakan throttle body standar.     Currently, many motorcycle owners are dissatisfied with their vehicle's acceleration performance. This study aims to examine the effect of replacing the throttle body on the horsepower, torque, and gasoline consumption of motorcycles. This study focuses on the 2018 Honda CB150R motorcycle. This study employs an experimental methodology with a quantitative, descriptive approach. A dynamometer is utilized for testing power and torque, while a glass burette is utilized for testing fuel consumption. According to research on throttle body racing, there is an increase in power, torque, and fuel consumption. Specifically, power increases 10.63% with a difference of 1.72 horsepower at 9000 rpm, torque increases 1.19% with a difference of 0.16 Newton-meters at 7000 rpm, and fuel consumption increases 2.98% with a difference of 1.18 kilometers per liter, so the resulting mileage is less than when using a standard throttle body.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi akibat kurangnya motivasi dan minat belajar peserta didik ditandai dengan nilai UTS relatif rendah yang diduga disebabkan oleh kurang lengkapnya sarana dan prasarana praktikum Teknik Kendaraan Ringan di SMKN 1 Bukittinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa tingkat kesesuaian sarana dan prasarana praktikum Teknik Kendaraan Ringan di SMK N 1 Bukittinggi. Jenis penelitian yaitu deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian yaitu Kepala bengkel TKR. Instrumen penelitian yaitu lembar observasi dan analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis persentase. Hasil penelitian tingkat kesesuaian prasarana yaitu 100% dan untuk sarana yaitu 69% terdiri dari bagian perabot 92%, bagian peralatan 48%, bagian media pendidikan 100%, dan bagian perlengkapan lainnya yaitu 96%. Kesimpulan yaitu total tingkat kesesuaian sarana dan prasarana pada bengkel teknik kendaraan ringan yaitu 73% yang masuk kriteria cukup sesuai. The background of this research is due to the lack of motivation and interest in learning of students marked by relatively low UTS scores, this is thought to be caused by the incomplete facilities and infrastructure for the Light Vehicle Engineering practicum at SMKN 1 Bukittinggi. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of suitability of facilities and infrastructure for the Practicum of LVE Competency at SMK N 1 Bukittinggi. This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The research subject is the head of the LVE workshop. The research instrument is the observation sheet and the data analysis used is percentage analysis. The results of the study are the level of suitability, namely 100% and for facilities, namely 69%, consisting of 92% of furniture, 48% of equipment, 100% of educational media, and 96% of other equipment. The conclusion is that the total level of suitability of facilities and infrastructure in LVE workshops is 73% which is in the sufficiently appropriate criteria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan variasi cairan pendingin terhadap suhu mesin pada sepeda motor Yamaha V-ixion 150 cc. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan objek penelitiannya adalah sepeda motor V-ixion 150 cc. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini eksperimen analisa data. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan termocouple digital appa 511, yakni data hasil pengujian suhu mesin dengan menggunakan variasi cairan pendingin. Alat pengumpulan data berupa tabel-tabel yang selanjutnya akan diolah, sehingga menghasilkan grafik perbandingan kenaikan suhu pada sepeda motor yang diuji. Berdasarkan hasil data penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dimana cairan pendingin yang dapat mempertahankan suhu 80℃ adalah cairan pendingin prestone coolant pada masing-masing waktu pengujian 5, 10 dan 15 menit yaitu 91,1℃, 103,9℃ dan 109℃ dengan presentase kenaikan suhunya 13,9%, 29,87% dan 36,25%.    This study aims to determine the use of variations in coolant against engine temperature on a 150 cc Yamaha V-Ixion motorcycle. This study used an experimental method with the research object being a 150 cc V-Ixion motorcycle. Data collection techniques in this study were experimental data analysis. Data collection was carried out using a digital appa 511thermocouple, namely data from engine temperature testing using variations of coolant. The data collection tool is in the form of tables which will then be processed, resulting in a graph comparing the temperature rise on the motorcycles tested. Based on the results of the research data it can be concluded that where the coolant that can maintain a temperature of 80 ℃ is prestone coolant at the respective test times of 5, 10 and 15 minute namely 91.1 ℃, 103.9 ℃ and 109 ℃ with a percentage increase in temperature 13.9%, 29.87% and 36.25%.

Abstract

Many students feel anxious about career prospects, so they are afraid that career insights in the field will not be achieved. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of vocational education in the career development process, especially for students who are still full of doubts about their careers. This type of research is descriptive qualitative in the form of a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to collect evidence based on research topics and support the development of evidence-based research. The stages in the SLR method are planning, conducting, and reporting. The subject of this study is the literature related to vocational education in the career development process. The results of the study found 5 major themes out of 98 articles that had been selected related to the topic under study. The role of vocational education regarding job characteristics, career maturity development services, career opportunities, ability to make career decisions, and vocational career development in the student career development process. It is hoped that the findings in this study will become information for future researchers, teachers, the wider community, and policy-making institutions, especially in Indonesia.

Abstract

Implementation of the developed Learning Implementation Plan (LIP) will result in the risk of learning not being in line with expectations if the validity of the product is not guaranteed. Thus, this research aims to investigate the validity of developing project-based lesson plans to improve effective learning outcomes. This research is research and development with a quantitative approach using the ADDIE model procedure. To obtain product validity results, the stages used are only in the development phase. The subjects in this research were 2 expert lecturers and 3 productive teachers with expertise in light vehicle engineering, and the instrument used was a feasibility questionnaire. The findings were that the project-based LIP that was developed had an average score of 88.7% in the valid category. This study concludes that it has succeeded in developing a product in the form of a valid and usable project-based lesson plan. Carrying out learning using lesson plans that are integrated with project-based learning can be an alternative to providing more meaningful learning and have a positive impact on student development.

Abstract

Minimnya minat siswa terhadap menjadi mekanik mencerminkan rendahnya motivasi dan prestasi belajar mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai pengaruh minat menjadi mekanik terhadap motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa kelas XII TKR di SMKN 1 Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan angket untuk mengukur minat dan motivasi serta tes sebagai instrumen penilaian. Hasil analisis dengan menggunakan metode Hotelling's Trace menunjukkan bahwa minat siswa berkontribusi signifikan terhadap motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa, dengan nilai signifikansi yang sangat rendah (0,000), menunjukkan hubungan yang kuat. Nilai Hotelling's Trace sekitar 0,512 menunjukkan pengaruh yang cukup besar. The students' lack of interest in becoming mechanics reflects their low motivation and academic performance. This study aims to assess the influence of an interest in becoming a mechanic on the motivation and academic achievement of 12th-grade TKR students at SMKN 1 Padang. The research utilizes questionnaires to measure interest and motivation, as well as tests as assessment instruments. The analysis results using the Hotelling's Trace method reveal that students' interest significantly contributes to their motivation and academic achievement, with a very low significance value (0.000), indicating a strong relationship. The Hotelling's Trace value of approximately 0.512 indicates a considerable impact.

Abstract

This research discusses efforts to enhance the professional competence of teachers in Vocational High Schools (SMK) specializing in the field of Electricity. It does so through the implementation of a training program based on Variable Speed Drive (VSD) technology for electric motor control. The training program encompasses two distinct learning approaches: theoretical and practical instruction on motor control using VSD technology. This material forms an essential part of the curriculum for installing electric motors in vocational schools. It is crucial for every teacher to comprehend it thoroughly, as vocational school curricula must adapt to the latest developments in science and technology, commonly referred to as the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0). This research focused on 20 electricity teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi as its subjects. The research findings indicate a significant improvement in teachers' professional competence in electric motor installation, particularly in electric motor control using VSD technology, following the implementation of the training program. This improvement is reflected in the posttest results, with 88.7% of participants passing in this particular subject. In conclusion, the Variable Speed Drive Based Electric Motor Control Training for teachers can effectively enhance their professional competence in electric motor installation, aligning with the demands of Industry 4.0.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi akibat adanya dampak negatif dari peningkatan penggunaan kendaraan bermotor yaitu masalah keamanan, polusi, kemacetan, emisi, penggunaan energi dan lainnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisa penggunaan busi standard, platinum, dan iridium terhadap emisi gas buang sepeda motor Scoopy PGM-FI 2020. Jenis penelitian eksperimen. Objek Penelitian yaitu Scoopy PGM-FI 2020. Instrumen penelitian yaitu tachometer dan gas analyzer. Teknik analisis data yaitu analisis persentase. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa penggunaan jenis busi platinum lebih baik untuk mengurangi kadar emisi gas buang, dengan analisis perbandingan dengan busi standard yaitu dengan kisaran rata-rata hasil CO yaitu 0.15% - 0,20%, dan rata-rata hasil CO₂ yaitu  3,9% - 6.4%, lalu untuk kadar HC dengan rata-rata yaitu 67 – 81 ppm. Kesimpulannya yaitu bahwasannya pemakaian jenis busi platinum yang mampu menurunkan kadar dari emisi gas buang baik dari CO, CO₂, maupun HC daripada penggunaan jenis busi standar ataupun iridium.  This research is motivated by the negative impacts of increasing use of motorized vehicles, namely safety issues, pollution, congestion, emissions, energy use and others. The aim of this research is to analyze the use of standard, platinum and iridium spark plugs on the exhaust gas emissions of the 2020 Scoopy PGM-FI motorbike. This type of research is experimental. The research object is the Scoopy PGM-FI 2020. The research instruments are the Tachometer and Gas Analyzer. The data analysis technique is percentage analysis. The research results showed that the use of platinum spark plugs is better for reducing exhaust gas emission levels, with a comparative analysis with standard spark plugs, namely with an average CO yield range of 0.15% - 0.20%, and an average CO₂ yield of 3. 9% - 6.4%, then for HC levels the average is 67 – 81 ppm. The conclusion is that the use of platinum spark plugs is able to reduce levels of exhaust emissions from both CO, CO₂, and HC compared to the use of standard or Iridium spark plugs.

Abstract

Meningkatnya jumlah kendaraan bermotor mengakibatkan kebutuhan akan penggunaan bahan bakar dan hasil gas buang yang tinggi, oleh karena itu penting untuk mengatur mesin dengan efisiensi yang tinggi untuk mengatasi batasan konsumsi mesin dan mengurangi pembuangan gas buang yang tidak aman. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui dampak penggunaan beberapa mode altitude pada sepeda motor matic pada ketinggian 0-1000 MDPL terhadap penggunaan bahan bakar dan gas buang, dengan metode eksperimen, dengan Teknik analisis data kuantitatif. Hasil penggunaan mode 3 konsumsi bahan bakar dan emisi yang dihasilkan lebih baik, hasil penggunaan bahan bakar yaitu 57,9 km/l hasil emisi terendah CO 0,17% dan HC 47 ppm akan tetapi penggunaan mode ini mengakibatkan motor susah dihidupkan. Konsumsi bahan bakar mode 1 yaitu 48,5 km/l hasil emisi terendah CO 0,36% dan HC 127 ppm. Konsumsi bahan bakar mode 2 yaitu 57 km/l, hasil emisi CO 0,36% dan HC 58 ppm, pada mode 2 mesin juga susah dihidupkan. Hasil dari penggunaan  ketiga mode konsumsi bahan bakar dan gas buan masih sesuai standar.  The increasing number of motorized vehicles creates a need for high fuel consumption and exhaust gas output, therefore it is important to regulate engines with high efficiency to overcome engine consumption limitations and reduce unsafe exhaust gas discharge. This research was conducted to determine the impact of using several altitude modes on automatic motorbikes at an altitude of 0-1000 MDPL on fuel and exhaust gas use, using experimental methods, using quantitative data analysis techniques. The results of using mode 3 fuel consumption and the resulting emissions are better, the results of fuel use are 57.9 km/l, the lowest emissions are CO 0.17% and HC 47 ppm, however using this mode makes it difficult to start the motorbike. Mode 1 fuel consumption is 48.5 km/l resulting in the lowest emissions of CO 0.36% and HC 127 ppm. Fuel consumption in mode 2 is 57 km/l, CO emissions are 0.36% and HC is 58 ppm, in mode 2 the engine is also difficult to start. The results from using the three fuel and exhaust gas consumption modes are still within standards.

Abstract

Pemahaman tentang hubungan kelengkapan peralatan praktikum dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan ini dalam mata kuliah Teknologi Pengecatan di Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Padang. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis korelasi product moment dengan sampel sebanyak 86 orang mahasiswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya korelasi positif yang signifikan antara kelengkapan peralatan praktikum dan motivasi belajar mahasiswa, dengan nilai korelasi product moment sebesar 0.631 dengan kategori hubungan kuat, untuk nilai determinasi diperoleh sebesar 40%. Dapat disimpulkan tingkat kelengkapan peralatan praktikum yang dirasakan oleh mahasiswa berpengaruh secara positif terhadap tingkat motivasi belajar mereka. Dengan kata lain, semakin lengkap peralatan praktikum yang tersedia, semakin tinggi pula motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Understanding of the relationship between the completeness of practicum equipment and student learning motivation is still limited. This study aims to explore this relationship in the Painting Technology course at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Padang. The research methodology used was quantitative with product moment correlation analysis techniques with a sample of 86 students. The results of the analysis showed a significant positive correlation between the completeness of practicum equipment and student learning motivation, with  a product moment correlation value  of 0.631 with a strong relationship category, for a determination value obtained of 40%. It can be concluded that the level of completeness of practicum equipment felt by students has a positive effect on their level of learning motivation. If the more complete the practical equipment available, the higher the students' learning motivation.
