Abstract

Pendidikan pada hakekatnya dapat dinikmati oleh semua anak tidak terkecuali bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) seperti anak tunarungu. Layanan pendidikan bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus saat ini telah mengalami banyak perubahan. Perubahan-perubahan ini meliputi perubahan dalam kesadaran sikap, keadaan, metodologi, penggunaan konsep-konsep terkait dan perubahan paradigma yang menuju kepada pendidikan kemanusiaan. Salah satu layanan pendidikan bagi ABK yaitu sekolah segregasi atau yang lebih dikenal dengan SLB. Salah satu SLB yang menerima ABK tunarungu adalah SLB N Mutiara Bahari Mandiri. Salah satu SLB di kabupaten Sukabumi yang telah berdiri sejak 1996, namun hingga saat ini memiliki tantangan tersendiri dalam segi peningkatan kualitas guru dalam pembelajaran bagi ABK tunarungu. Oleh sebab itu, dilakukan solusi berupa peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran melalui zoom dengan menghadirkan pemateri yang telah berpengalaman pada bidangnya. Sehingga mampu memberikan pengaruh baik kepada para guru dalam meingkatkan kualitas untuk pembelajaran bagi ABK tunarungu di SLB. Yang tentunya dengan materi yang sesuai serta diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas dalam pembelajaran bagi ABK tunarungu.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the idea that there is a functional and efficient mechanism for meaningful learning. This study is a literature review with various references to data sources. This study's essential focus is on the difficulties and possibilities of meaningful distant learning. An amount of 21 publications had released between 2012 and 2022. Use the SEforRA.com search engine to find information for research. Thematic Analysis to examine the results and show the findings. The research findings shed light on several topics related to meaningful learning, including perceptions, challenges for teachers and students on distance meaningful education, and learning practices. The findings also explain how meaningful learning is in distance learning. The Results show that meaningful learning activities incorporated into distance learning activities enable teachers and students will gain authentic and meaningful experiences that will benefit their education, such as adding teachers' insights for their future teaching practices. The outcomes of this exploratory study have several consequences for anyone involved in remote education, including administrators, teachers, instructional designers, and policymakers, who want to ensure that students have meaningful educational experiences.

Abstract

Teaching skills are the main skills every teacher needs to produce a generation of quality teachers. But the fact is that the performance appraisal that has been going on so far has used manual performance appraisal with a rubric. It raises a problem, namely, the evaluation becomes complicated and inefficient. The research aims to develop student performance applications in deaf student learning by conducting a needs analysis of current student skills and the material and content needed. The research design used a quantitative descriptive survey method of 120 Special Education study program students. The survey contains subject-related questions, which were distributed to 120 students. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that the level of students' skills in the teaching practice of deaf students was in the sufficient category, namely 99 respondents (82.5%). Data from material analysis showed that 75 respondents (62.5%) strongly agreed, 31 respondents (25.8%) agreed, and 2 respondents (1.7%) disagreed. Data from the content analysis showed that 79 respondents (65.8%) strongly agreed, 24 respondents (20%) agreed, and 3 respondents (2.5%) disagreed. The development of performance applications is based on the results of a needs analysis based on digital technology to assess students' abilities in teaching deaf students.

Abstract

Kualitas guru di sekolah inklusif perlu ditingkatkan guna mewujudkan Sekolah Ramah Anak yang salah satu tujuannya adalah untuk memenuhi hak-hak belajar Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK). Berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan yang dilakukan kepada guru-guru di Kelurahan Jatinegara Kaum, peneliti menemukan beberapa kompetensi yang perlu guru tingkatkan, yaitu: (1) strategi dan metode membaca permulaan, (2)  bahasa isyarat sebagai komunikasi dengan siswa hambatan pendengaran, dan (3) media pembelajaran adaptif. Oleh karena itu, peneliti menyelenggarakan kegiatan lokakarya dan diskusi ilmiah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pengalaman guru dalam mengajar siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Kegiatan ini dilakukan selama dua hari di Kantor Kelurahan Jatinegara Kaum dan dihadiri oleh 50 peserta yang terdiri dari guru-guru PAUD, SD, dan SMP di wilayah sekitar. Materi yang disampaikan dalam kegiatan ini adalah konsep pendidikan inklusif dan keberagaman ABK, strategi membaca permulaan, pembelajaran bagi siswa dengan hambatan pendengaran, dan media pembelajaran adaptif.  Kegiatan ini mendapat respon positif dari peserta dan memiliki potensi keberlanjutan yang tinggi untuk menyelenggarakan kegiatan serupa.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to enhance the ability of prospective educators to develop a comprehensive understanding of students with hearing impairments. This study investigates the incorporation of Pancasila principles into a project-based learning framework to meet the educational needs of these students. This study highlights the necessity of providing essential skills and knowledge to prospective teachers to create a conducive classroom environment for students with hearing impairments. This study proposes a unique method to understand and assist students with hearing impairments by integrating Pancasila values into project-based learning. The methodology employed is a mixed methods study to assess the efficacy of this educational approach in enhancing the skills of prospective teachers and the academic achievements of students. The expected outcome is a compilation of principles and tactics that can be utilized by educators to gain a deeper understanding and help children with hearing impairments, thereby fostering collaborative and capacity-building in education.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills in social science subjects in fifth grade students of SDN Majalengka Kulon I through the cooperative learning model type of group investigation. This study uses an action research method using the Kemmis and Mc.Taggart model which consists of four stages, namely, planning, action, observation and reflection which is carried out for two cycles. Data collection techniques using field notes, documentation, observation of teacher activities and observation of student activities, tests and non-tests. The subjects in this study were fifth grade students of SDN Majalengka Kulon I. The results showed an increase in critical thinking skills. This is evidenced by the average percentage of students in the first cycle of action that is 69.9%. Teacher activities according to the steps of this method reached 67.5% and student activities reached 65%. An increase in the second cycle reached 88% of teacher activity according to the steps of this method reached 90% and student activity reached 87.5%. The implication of this research is a group investigation cooperative learning model to improve critical thinking skills. In the teaching material theme 5 is proud as Indonesia. The results of this study indicate an increase in students' critical thinking skills through the cooperative learning model group investigation type. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam mata pelajaran ilmu pengetahuan sosial pada siswa kelas V SDN Majalengka Kulon I melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan dengan menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu, perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi yang dilakukan selama dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan catatan lapangan, dokumentasi, observasi aktivitas guru dan observasi aktivitas siswa, tes dan non tes. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Majalengka Kulon I. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan rata-rata presentase siswa pada tindakan siklus I yaitu 69,9 %. Aktivitas guru sesuai langkah-langkah metode ini mencapai 67,5% dan aktivitas siswa mencapai 65%. Mengalami peningkatan pada siklus ke II mencapai 88% aktivitas guru sesuai langkah-langkah metode ini mencapai 90% dan aktivitas siswa mencapai 87,5%. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Pada meteri ajar tema 5 bangga sebagai Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation. Abstract

Study to equip future educators with the necessary skills and tactics to proficiently assist children with hearing impairments in educational settings. This study holds significant importance for institutions that provide training for teachers, educators specializing in special needs, and policymakers in the field of education. The focus is on promoting effective communication with students who have hearing impairments, highlighting the significance of utilizing assistive devices such as hearing aids and cochlear implants. Curriculum modifications are crucial to ensuring we can obtain educational resources. The study uses academic literature and practical instances to uncover efficacious approaches that instructors can embrace. The results indicate that by employing suitable strategies, utilizing technology, and making necessary modifications to the curriculum, teachers can improve the educational experience and academic achievement of students with hearing impairments. Teachers must possess the necessary knowledge to properly teach, with a focus on teaching tactics, assistive technologies, and curricular changes.

Abstract

This study aimed at producing a set of contextual-learning based training package for teachers of inclusive school to teach hearing impaired students. The absence of the instructional packages for hearing impaired students and the lack of the teachers’ competence at inclusive school were underlied the need for this research. Borg and Gall’s Research and Development methods were employed in this study and Instructional Development Model (MPI) was applied to develop the package. At the end, the research produced a set of contextual-learning-based training package for teachers to teach hearing impaired students, it included the design of training, user’s guide for instructure and participant, 4 modules with soft-copy (CD) of training materials that had been tested for the effectivity, efficiency, and feasibility. Besides, the research provided a number some of recommendation.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to explore the teachers’s competency in teaching students with hearing impairments within inclusive educational settings. This research conducted from February 2012 through June 2013. Method of the research is qualitative descriptive, observation and interview were employed to gather the necessary data towards 5 teachers where there is at least one student with hearing impairment in their classroom across all educational level. The result shows that the teachers do not have the competency about teaching the hearing impairments. The teachers have never been trained on teaching and instruction of children with hearing impairment, because the training based on contextual learning has not been previous. The research results some implication and recomendation.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to improve the learning outcomes of dynamic addition math using bead media for students with hearing impairments in class VI SLB Negeri 5 Jakarta. The study used an action research method. Data collection uses quantitative data from test results, while qualitative data is collected by observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects in this study were 4 students with hearing impairments. The research was carried out in 2 cycles, in cycle I 75% of students were able to reach / exceed the passing grade and achieve learning objectives while in cycle II 100% of students were able to exceed the KKM value and achieve learning objectives. The results showed that bead media was able to improve students' learning outcomes because it had a role as a bridge of information from teachers to students when planting the concept of dynamic addition material.
