Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the tourist attraction in Waduk Panji Sukarame. Tenggarong City has one of the mainstay tourist destinations in East Kalimantan, one of which is the Waduk Panji Sukarame as a tourist attraction, as a tourist attraction and object, it is necessary to hold a good management process so that visitors become interested in coming to the place. This study finds out what tourist attractions are in the Waduk Panji Sukarame Tenggarong, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative research method. The data collected is through direct observation and interviews with the managers of the Waduk Panji Sukarame. Waduk Panji Sukarame has natural attractions. It has an orchid garden and has artificial gazebo tours, colourful bridges, unique toilets, flying fox, duck bikes, viewing towers, playgrounds. The Waduk Panji Sukarame has a tourist attraction and is worthy as a tourist attraction.

Abstract

Pariwisata massal dapat difungsikan sebagai salah satu strategi sederhana untuk mempercepat kunjungan wisatawan ke destinasi pariwisata. Hal ini telah dilakukan oleh Pokdarwis Mentari di Kawasan Wisata Bukit Mahoni dengan memperbanyak atraksi wisata buatan, seperti Pasar Tradisional. Tujuannya untuk mendatangkan wisatawan keluarga sebanyak-banyaknya yang merasakan kerinduan terhadap kuliner tradisional khas Jawa. Pasar Tradisional menyajikan berbagai jenis makanan dan kudapan khas masyarakat Jawa, mengingat bahwa mayoritas penduduk di Kecamatan Tenggarong Seberang adalah pendatang. Daya tarik Pastra terletak pada posisinya yang strategis di tengah-tengah destinasi wisata Bukit Mahoni dan Taman Edukasi Madu Kelulut. Sayangnya, Pastra dan Bukit Mahoni mengalami masalah fundamental yang menurut peneliti perlu dibenahi, yaitu status Pastra sebagai daya tarik wisata massal yang berada di lingkungan ekosistem pohon Mahoni yang harus dilestarikan. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan sebuah konsep pariwisata massal berkualitas (quality-mass tourism) yang dapat diterapkan pada kondisi yang cenderung bertolak belakang, antara destinasi pariwisata massal dan ekowisata seperti di Bukit Mahoni. Peneliti menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif dengan model Miles and Huberman, yakni melalui data collection, data condensation, data display dan conclusion drawing/verification. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi konsep pariwisata massal dan pariwisata berkualitas di Bukit Mahoni, akan bersinggungan dengan pariwisata berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Coffee shop dapat menarik minat dan mempertahankan agar customer merasa nyaman serta puas terhadap layanan yang diberikan oleh pengelola coffee shop secara khusus Kawa Coffe Point Kota Tenggarong. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kualitas pelayanan dan fasilitas yang diberikan oleh Kawa coffee point Tenggarong berpengaruh terhadap minat customer untuk berkunjung. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah para pengunjung Kawa Coffee Point Tenggarong. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 100 responden. Hasil penelitian analisis regresi berganda, pengujian hipotesis melalui uji t dan F, dan analisis koefisien determinasi (R2). Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini Kualitas Pelayanan dan Fasilitas yang diberikan Kawa coffee point Tenggarong berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat customer untuk berkunjung. Dan hasil nilai r square penelitian ini sebesar 0.620 atau hanya 62 % yang mampu menjelaskan bahwa minat pelanggan atau pengunjung untuk berkunjung, sedangkan sisanya 38 % dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain yang dapat menjadi alasan sehingga para pengunjung mau datang ke Kawa Coffee Point di Kota Tenggarong Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara, Kalimantan Timur.

Abstract

In the realm of higher education, understanding the complex interplay among learning styles, instructional strategies, and assessment methods is crucial for fostering meaningful student engagement in college-level science courses. This research aims to fill a gap in existing literature by systematically examining the collective impact of these elements on student engagement. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study involves quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with both students and educators in diverse science disciplines. The research objectives include assessing prevalent learning styles, examining instructional strategies and assessment methods, analyzing their relationships, and gauging their impact on student engagement. The study's significance lies in contributing nuanced insights to science education and offering practical implications for educators to enhance pedagogical practices.

Abstract

This research aims to determine (1) the decline in tourist visits and government losses after the Bromo fire; and (2) revenge tourism as a strategy to increase the number of tourists to Mount Bromo after the fire. This research is qualitative-descriptive research. This research uses SWOT analysis. The results of this research show that (1) the level of tourist arrivals in the Mount Bromo area after the fire was around 40-60 percent of the total quota prepared, plus state losses due to the fire reached 89.7 billion which was calculated based on the number of visits, ticket prices, fees and length of closing time; and (2) the idea of a revenge tourism strategy can be a reference for returning enthusiasm for tourism to Mount Bromo after the fire. The strategy to increase tourists used includes the SO strategy through publication planning to convince tourists that the Mount Bromo area is safe and ready to visit, the WO strategy by displaying the image of 'safe travel' for visiting tourists, the ST strategy through government collaboration with the private sector to support sustainable Bromo tourism, and the WT strategy by providing education to tourism managers.

The evolution of the digital economy has been characterized by an increasing trend in academic publications from 1996 to 2024, reflecting its growing importance and widespread implications across various sectors. This study analyzes the publication trends using bibliometric data, revealing significant growth in research outputs, particularly in the past decade. The implications of this growth are profound for both the business sector and policymakers, as they adapt to technological advancements and shifting market dynamics. The analysis not only highlights the sectors' responses to these changes but also underscores the need for updated policies to support digital infrastructure, ensure data privacy, and promote digital inclusivity. The study further discusses how this burgeoning research can guide strategic decisions in technology adoption and policy formulation.

Abstract

English language training at Dusun Putak Village, Loa Duri Ilir Village, Kutai Kartanegara, provides a platform for local tour guides to improve their English communication skills and competence. This form of the program has been designed to provide participants with relevant vocabulary, phrases, and communication techniques in the context of tourism guidance by merging theoretical conceptualization with role-play simulation and non-tes evaluation. More than language competencies, it also develops interpersonal and customer-servicing skills to provide a rewarding tourism experience for foreign tourists. Proficient communication in the English language facilitates the delivery of more interesting information to the tourist guide and simultaneously promotes locals' sustainable local tourism. This training is expected to improve the quality of tourist guide services and encourage the younger generation of Dusun Putak to promote the pot actively.

Abstract

Lau Kawar merupakan pusat pelatihan dan pedesaan Swadaya (P4S) di Sungai Merdeka, Kecamatan Samboja Barat, Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara, Provinsi Kalimantan Timur yang memiliki lahan pertanian dan peternakan yang cukup luas. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan potensi agrowisata diwilayah tersebut melalui pelatihan pembuatan paket wisata, Pengabdian Masyarakat dilaksanakan pada bulan september 2024 dengan melibatkan pengelola dan anggota pusat pelatihan dan pedesaan Swadaya (P4S) Lau Kawar. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini menggunakan metode ceramah, demonstrasi langsung dan tanya jawab. Dalam kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan paket wisata peserta pelatihan diberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam dalam merancang dan mengemas paket wisata yang mencakup daya tarik wisata alam, edukasi, pertanian, serta budaya lokal, sekaligus menyusun strategi pemasaran yang efektif melalui pembuatan brosur wisata. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam mengelola dan memasarkan agrowisata, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan daya tarik wisata Lau Kawar dan memberikan manfaat ekonomi yang berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

Remote work poses challenges for companies to ensure employees remain effective in their roles. This study aims to examine whether work environment, work discipline, and compensation individually or simultaneously influence employee performance during remote work. This is a quantitative study involving a sample of 55 employees currently working from home. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a Likert scale and subsequently analyzed. Instrument testing confirmed that all items were valid and reliable. The findings revealed that work environment, work discipline, and compensation positively and significantly influence employee performance both individually and simultaneously during remote work. This research provides several important implications that can assist companies in optimizing employee performance while working from home. Moreover, companies can enhance overall employee performance and achieve greater efficiency and productivity in remote work settings.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of organizational culture, employee training, and internal communication on employee retention within the Indonesian manufacturing industry. Using a mixed-method approach, data were collected from 179 employees across various manufacturing firms in Indonesia. The results reveal significant positive relationships between organizational culture, employee training, internal communication, and employee retention. A strong organizational culture, effective training programs, and transparent communication channels were found to enhance employee satisfaction, engagement, and commitment, ultimately reducing turnover rates. Practical implications suggest that manufacturing firms in Indonesia should focus on fostering a positive culture, investing in training and development, and improving communication to retain talent effectively. These findings contribute to understanding the dynamics of employee retention in the Indonesian manufacturing context and provide actionable strategies for organizations aiming to enhance retention efforts and sustain long-term success.
