Abstract

This study evaluates and analyzes the impact of work facilities and internal communication on civil servant performance, with work motivation as a mediating variable, at the Education and Culture Office of Muaro Jambi Regency. Using both descriptive and verification methods, the research involved 62 employees from the office and employed the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method for analysis. The results from the questionnaire indicated that work facilities had a total score of 2859, classified as good, while internal communication scored 2836, also in the good range. Work motivation was rated at 3080, placing it in the high category, and employee performance scored 3099, which is similarly high. The findings show that work facilities have significant impact on motivation. Internal communication also positively and significantly influences motivation. Additionally, both work facilities and internal communication have significant effect on employee performance. Motivation is demonstrated to positively and significantly affect employee performance. Moreover, work facilities and internal communication both positively and significantly impact employee performance through the mediation of motivation at the Muaro Jambi Regency Education and Culture Office.

Abstract

This research is focused on outlining experiences in rural human resource management through the introduction of a new professional farmer training process. The aim is to provide insights and references for developing countries in implementing farmer training and improving their human resource structure. The research methodology explores the literature combined with an inductive approach to describe and analyse experiences and lessons learned during training programmes to strengthen human resource capacity in the agricultural sector. The results of this study emphasise the importance of new professional farmer training in rural human resource management, with the Indonesian government prioritising the entire training process. The Indonesian government has taken strategic steps in farmer training, which include identifying appropriate training targets, selecting influential investment entities, developing practical training models, and designing supportive policies. These initiatives have significantly improved the quality and structure of rural human resources. The uniqueness of this research lies in its selection of topics that are less widely covered in the literature, especially regarding the training process and the new professional farmer model. This research is also important in enhancing the skills of rural individuals, increasing farmers' income, strengthening the role of agriculture, and supporting economic growth in rural areas. Furthermore, this research makes a significant contribution to the literature by enriching the theory of human capital investment in rural areas.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the competence, organizational commitment, achievement motivation and performance of teachers of SMP Negeri 17 Sarolangun and to determine and analyze the influence of competence and organizational commitment on achievement motivation and its impact on teacher performance at SMP Negeri 17 Sarolangun. This type of research uses descriptive verification research. This study uses the PLS analysis method. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, it explains that the total competency score is 1949 in the high category. Then for the description of the organizational commitment variable, it shows that the organizational commitment of teachers at SMP Negeri 17 Sarolangun is high with a score of 1739. Furthermore, the description of the achievement motivation variable shows that the achievement motivation score is 2602 in the high category. While the description of the teacher performance variable shows that the score is 2596 in the high category. The results of the study indicate that competence and organizational commitment have a positive and significant influence on achievement motivation and teacher performance at SMP Negeri 17 Sarolangun. Increasing competence and organizational commitment encourages the creation of higher achievement motivation, which in turn contributes to improving teacher performance. In addition, achievement motivation itself has been proven to play an important role in strengthening the relationship between competence and organizational commitment with teacher performance, so that these factors are interrelated and together form optimal performance

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe public satisfaction, professionalism, digitalization, and the quality of public services. It examines how professionalism and digitization affect public satisfaction. It examines how professionalism and digitization affect public satisfaction through the caliber of public services. The Population and Civil Registration Office of West Tanjung Jabung Regent, Jambi Province, served as the study's site. This study made use of both principal and supplemental data. 73,266 service customers made up the study's population, and a random sampling technique was used to choose 100 respondents. Descriptive and quantitative analysis were employed in this survey-based investigation. Path study with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method was employed in the quantitative study. The findings demonstrate that public satisfaction is positively and significantly impacted by professionalism and digitization. By improving the caliber of public services, professionalism and digitalization increase public satisfaction. These findings clarify that the public's perception of service quality improves with increasing digitalization and professionalism. Ideal service The key to fulfilling the public's expectations of government services is quality. As a result, the public will gain materially from government representatives' presence, which will raise satisfaction levels.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work effectiveness and physical work facilities on fish farmer satisfaction through the quality of public services at the Fisheries Service of West Tanjung Jabung Regency. The study used a quantitative approach with an explanatory method. The population in this study was 96 fish farmers receiving services at the Fisheries Service of West Tanjung Jabung Regency, and the entire population was sampled (census method). Data collection was conducted through the distribution of questionnaires compiled based on the indicators of each research variable and measured using a Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method using a structural model to test the direct and indirect effects between variables. The results showed that work effectiveness and physical work facilities had a positive and significant effect on the quality of public services. Furthermore, the quality of public services had a positive and significant effect on fish farmer satisfaction. Furthermore, work effectiveness and physical work facilities also had an indirect effect on fish farmer satisfaction through the quality of public services as an intervening variable. This study confirms that increasing the work effectiveness of civil servants and providing adequate physical work facilities are important factors in improving the quality of public services and fish farmer satisfaction

Abstract

This research aims to find out and describe the description of democratic leadership style, career development, job satisfaction and employee performance at the Regional Secretariat Organization Bureau of Jambi Province as well as to find out and analyze the influence of democratic leadership style and career development on employee performance mediated by job satisfaction at the Secretariat Organization Bureau Jambi Province Region. The method used in this research is descriptive verification and quantitative methods. Based on the approach, it can be seen that the number of samples is 62 people. This research uses the Smart PLS 3.0 analysis tool. Based on the description of e-government, competency, work motivation and employee performance in the Bureau. Based on the description of the democratic leadership style, it shows that the democratic leadership style is in the quite good category. Then for fairly good career development, the description of the job satisfaction variable is in the quite satisfied category. Meanwhile, the description of employee performance variables in the category is quite high. Based on the research results, leadership style has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, career development has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, democratic leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, career development has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect. significant effect on employee performance, Democratic leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance mediated by job satisfaction and career development does not have a significant effect on employee performance mediated by job satisfaction.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to obtain an overview and describe the competencies, work environment, motivation, and performance of Civil Servants, as well as to understand and analyze the direct and indirect effects of competencies and work environment on the motivation and performance of Civil Servants. The population in this study consists of 54 Civil Servants at the Regional Secretariat of Merangin Regency in the year 2024. The data analysis technique used in this research is path analysis, followed by hypothesis testing using the F-test (simultaneous) and t-test (partial). The path analysis results indicate that competencies and work environment have both direct and indirect effects on Civil Servants performance through work motivation. This explains that the better the competencies possessed by employees in performing their main tasks and functions, and the better the work environment perceived by Civil Servants, the more motivated the Civil Servants will be to improve their performance within the organization. This study concludes that competencies are in a high condition, the work environment is in a good condition, motivation is in a high condition, and Civil Servants performance is in a high condition.

Abstract

Public satisfaction is a key indicator of successful public service delivery. Achieving this satisfaction is inseparable from the availability of work facilities and the effectiveness of staff, which can drive optimal service quality. This study aims to analyze the influence of work facilities and work effectiveness on public satisfaction through service quality at the Tungkal Ilir District Office, West Tanjung Jabung Regency. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population consisted of 396 service recipients, with a sample size of 123 respondents determined using the Slovin formula with a 7.5% margin of error. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire with a five-level Likert scale. Data analysis used path analysis based on Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results showed that work facilities and work effectiveness had a positive and significant effect on service quality. Furthermore, service quality had a positive and significant effect on public satisfaction. The results of the mediation test indicated that service quality was able to mediate the influence of work facilities and work effectiveness on public satisfaction. These findings confirm that improvements in work facilities and the effectiveness of civil servants need to be continuously optimized to improve service quality and public satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to describe job characteristics, compensation, work motivation, and employee performance at PERUMDAM Tirta Mayang Jambi, as well as to analyze the influence of job characteristics and compensation on work motivation and their impact on employee performance. The research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method involving all employees as the population, with the sample determined through proportional stratified random sampling. Primary data were collected through questionnaires measuring variables of job characteristics, compensation, work motivation, and employee performance, while secondary data were obtained from the company’s internal reports. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test both the measurement and structural models. The findings indicate that job characteristics have a positive and significant effect on work motivation and employee performance. Compensation also has a positive and significant effect on work motivation and employee performance. Work motivation is proven to be a significant mediating variable in the relationship between job characteristics and employee performance, as well as between compensation and employee performance. These results emphasize that well-designed jobs and a fair, competitive compensation system can enhance motivation, which in turn drives employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work facilities and motivation through discipline on employee performance at the Community and Village Empowerment Office of West Tanjung Jabung Regency. The problems raised in this study are the still limited work facilities, varying employee motivation due to the uneven distribution of Additional Employee Income (TPP), and employee discipline that is not fully optimal, thus impacting uneven performance achievements. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 51 respondents who are employees at the Community and Village Empowerment Service of West Tanjung Jabung Regency. Data analysis was carried out using validity, reliability, regression, and path analysis tests to examine the direct and indirect effects between variables. The results of the study indicate that (1) work facilities have a positive effect on employee discipline and performance; (2) motivation has a positive effect on employee discipline and performance, (3) work discipline has a positive effect on employee performance, and (4) work facilities and motivation have an indirect effect on employee performance through discipline. Thus, improving adequate work facilities, providing fair motivation, and consistently enforcing discipline will have a significant impact on improving employee performance.
