Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of project-based learning on Magnetism, Electricity, and Technology for Life material in grade 5 of elementary school using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. This study uses a quantitative approach with data analysis through SPSS software. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and learning outcome tests. The results of the analysis showed that all CIPP components were in the high category, and there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the implementation of the project-based learning model.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of social interactions in the school environment on the emotional development of fifth-grade students at SDN 060875 Medan. Using an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design (30 participants), data were collected through participatory observation, emotional intelligence scales (EIK), and interviews. Results revealed a significant positive correlation between social interaction and emotional regulation (r = 0.62; p < 0.05). Cooperative interactions (65% of total interactions) and partner diversity were critical for developing empathy and self-awareness. Teachers functioned as emotional models through emotion coaching techniques, while a mastery goal-oriented classroom climate strengthened this relationship. Practical implications include integrating social-emotional learning (SEL) into cross-group collaborative activities and structured peer mentoring programs. This research affirms social interaction as a constitutive foundation for emotional development in Indonesia’s socio-cultural context.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using short stories to enhance the writing creativity of fourth-grade elementary students through a literature review approach. It employs a qualitative descriptive method with a non-experimental design. Data were gathered from various written sources such as scientific journals, books, and relevant proceedings, focusing on the role of short stories as a medium for writing instruction. The findings indicate that short stories can stimulate students' imagination, expressive abilities, and narrative understanding through structured plots rich in emotional meaning. Short stories also support students in composing more organized, creative, and expressive narrative texts, in line with the concrete thinking stage of Piaget’s theory. This approach aligns with constructivist principles, as it encourages students to connect personal experiences with story content. In the learning process, short stories are considered more engaging than traditional methods because they create a more interactive and meaningful learning environment. Therefore, the use of short stories has the potential to be an effective instructional strategy in fostering writing creativity and building a strong foundation in literacy from an early age.

Abstract

The scientific approach is an approach that conveys students' understanding of knowledge and uses a scientific approach to understand the scientific approach that does not depend on direct information from the teacher, anytime, anywhere, anytime (Daryanto, 2015). Through this approach, learning is aimed at students who are centered on interactive, encouraging students to improve their thinking skills. According to Permendikbud (2013), students carry out five main activities to learn: observation, questioning, gathering information, connection and communication. When using a scientific approach, the question aspect is the most difficult aspect. Many students have low enthusiasm, curiosity, and motivation to follow the PPKN compartment. The area of ​​study is considered boring and student life is lost. Low skills in critical thinking, problem solving and decision making also interfere with the learning process (Fischer et al 2012 Murawski 2012 Wang & Zheng, 2016). To answer or ask questions, students must have the ability to analyze, evaluate, integrate, and apply acquaintances.

Abstract

This study observes the impact of the use of image media in learning plant and animal materials in grade 5 of elementary school. 060875 SEIHATI. This science material is often abstract, making it difficult for students to understand. The purpose of the research is to find out whether image media can increase students' understanding, interest, and activeness in learning. The method used is direct observation when the teacher uses image media (for example, printed or digital images) in learning. As a result, image media has been proven to make students more interested and motivated to learn. Abstract concepts become easier to understand because they are visualized with images. Students' memory also improves, and they are more active in discussions. Picture media helps students see plants and animals that may not exist in their surrounding environment. However, the images must be of good quality and used in conjunction with other learning methods. In conclusion, image media is very helpful in learning science of plant and animal materials in grade 5 of elementary school, so that learning becomes better and more effective. Teachers are advised to choose the right images, combine them with other learning activities, and engage students in use of image media.

Abstract

21st Century Learning is a concept of an educational approach as a design to overcome the demands of the sophisticated and modern era where changes are increasingly complex and rapid. Competence in the 21st era is an important competency that must be possessed by students in order to be able to be involved in life clearly in the 21st Era. The purpose of this research is to determine what strategies to face the challenges of the 21st century learning system. This writing method uses literature reviews from several sources, such as journals, the internet, and books. The results of the study show that there are several strategies to deal with the challenges of the 21st century: Providing training and professional development to educators to update their knowledge and skills in teaching, managing classrooms, and using technology to increase learning effectiveness. This encourages educators to be better prepared to face the challenges of 21st century learning. The learning system in the 21st century is still a reason for more adequate education management, considering that there are challenges in the learning process for educators and students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh Beban Enam Tugas KKNI terhadap Tingkat Stres Akademik mahasiswa PGSD Stambuk 2023 Universitas Negeri Medan. Menggunakan metode kuantitatif asosiatif kausal dengan sampel 62 mahasiswa, analisis regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan bahwa Beban Enam Tugas KKNI berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Stres Akademik, dibuktikan dengan nilai tingkat signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 dan thitung= 5,507. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi beban yang dirasakan dari enam tugas KKNI (TR, CBR, CJR, MR, RI, PJ), semakin tinggi pula tingkat stres akademik mahasiswa. Kontribusi pengaruh Beban Enam Tugas KKNI terhadap variasi Stres Akademik adalah sebesar 32,5 % atau (AdjustedR2 =0.325), sementara sisanya 67,5 % dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain di luar model. Hasil ini menegaskan pentingnya evaluasi kurikulum KKNI untuk menyeimbangkan tuntutan kompetensi dengan kesejahteraan mental mahasiswa

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara penerapan sistem blok di Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED) dengan efektivitas pembelajaran Statistik Pendidikan mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD). Sistem blok merupakan bentuk perkuliahan intensif yang memusatkan fokus mahasiswa pada satu mata kuliah dalam periode waktu tertentu. Pendekatan ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan konsentrasi, pemahaman konsep, serta keterlibatan aktif mahasiswa dalam proses belajar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa PGSD UNIMED yang mengikuti mata kuliah Statistik Pendidikan, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 responden yang dipilih secara acak sederhana. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dengan skala Likert 1–5. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji validitas, reliabilitas, analisis deskriptif, uji normalitas, dan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment dengan bantuan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh item kuesioner dinyatakan valid dan reliabel dengan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha masing-masing 0,879 untuk variabel penerapan sistem blok dan 0,853 untuk variabel efektivitas pembelajaran. Data berdistribusi normal dengan nilai signifikansi > 0,05. Uji korelasi menghasilkan nilai r = 0,682 dengan Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara penerapan sistem blok dan efektivitas pembelajaran Statistik Pendidikan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin baik penerapan sistem blok, maka semakin tinggi pula efektivitas pembelajaran Statistik Pendidikan mahasiswa PGSD UNIMED. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi bahwa model perkuliahan sistem blok dapat dijadikan alternatif strategi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di pendidikan tinggi

Abstract

This study seeks to assess the assessment capabilities of students in our evaluation process conducted at SD Negeri 060852 Medan. It falls under the category of classroom action research, focusing on evaluating learning outcomes systematically to gauge achievement of predetermined educational goals. The objective is to gather data to measure student progress, development, and the effectiveness of teaching. Findings reveal that teachers at SD Negeri 060852 Medan implement evaluations following repeated lessons. Subsequently, they employ observational tools to guide students in self-discovery before providing explanations.

Abstract

Mathematics is a fundamental science that underpins many aspects of daily life. Where mathematics can be used as a method of solving problems that we face in life activities, such as in using information, knowledge and seeing and using relationships between objects. Not only that, the important role of mathematics includes the formation and development of rational, logical, systematic and critical thinking skills. In the study conducted by Putrihapsari and Fauziah (2020), Nazir (2014) defines literature study as a research approach that involves evaluating a multitude of literature studies that are pertinent to the research being conducted. This strategy is employed in research as a preliminary stage to organise the investigation by gathering data from literature in the subject, without the necessity for direct involvement. By using the PjBL model, it is hoped that it can cover 21st century skills so that it can improve the quality of students' mathematical literacy skills. Given that students must collaborate from the outset, the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning paradigm may assist them in developing the skills required to work effectively in groups. In order for students to comprehend the rationale and benefits of the mathematics education they receive in the classroom, this learning paradigm is essential for fostering mathematical literacy.
