Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sikap remaja Gen-Z berlatar belakang budaya Minangkabau terhadap perilaku seks bebas ditinjau dari aspek kognitif, afektif, dan konatif, serta menguji perbedaan sikap remaja Gen-Z berlatar belakang budaya Minangkabauterhadap perilaku seks ditinjau dari jenis kelamin. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik simple random sampling dan didapatkan 292 remaja laki-laki dan perempuan yang tersebar di Provinsi Sumatera Barat yang berlatar belakang budaya Minangkabau. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik parametrik yaitu dengan menggunakan Paired-Sample T-test dengan bantuan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa fenomena sikap remaja Minangkabau terhadap perilaku seks bebas berada pada kategori menolak. Kemudian jika dilihat dari aspek kognitif berada pada kategori menolak, aspek afektif ragu-ragu, dan aspek konatif menolak. Selanjutnya, terdapat perbedaan sikap remaja terhadap perilaku seksual bebas ditinjau dari jenis kelamin, dimana remaja laki-laki cenderung lebih menerima perilaku seks bebas dibandingkan dengan remaja perempuan. Oleh karena itu, berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini, diharapkan kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak baikorangtua, guru di sekolah dan masyarakat dalam hal menumbuhkan pemahaman berbudaya Minangkabau pada remaja agar terhindar dari bahaya dari seks bebas.

Abstract

Optimisme merupakan kecenderungan berpikir mengenai pemicu suatu peristiwa dan bagaimana seseorang menjelaskan peristiwa yang menyenangkan ataupun kurang menyenangkan. Saat memasuki dunia perkuliahan, mahasiswa akan mengikuti berbagai tes masuk perguruan tinggi diantara SNBP, SNBT, dan Mandiri dimana pada tes ini akan memberikan pengalaman bagi mahasiswa sehingga mendorong motivasi dan optimisme diri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian kuantitatif komparatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa FIP UNP Angkatan 2024. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik proporsional random sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 317 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) tingkat optimisme mahasiswa baru FIP UNP Angkatan 2024 berada pada kategori baik dengan persentase 79,6%, (2) optimisme mahasiswa baru pada jalur masuk SNBP pada kategori cukup baik dengan persentase 72,3%, jalur SNBT pada kategori baik dengan persentase 55,7%, serta jalur masuk Mandiri pada kategori baik dengan persentase 79,6%, (3) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan optimisme mahasiswa ditinjau dari jalur masuk perguruan tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, konselor dapat memberikan layanan informasi dengan tema menghadapi dunia perkuliahan, layanan konseling individual, dan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan topik tugas mengenai menghadapi tantangan di perkuliahan dan pentingnya pola pikir positif dalam menjalani perkuliahan.

Abstract

Digital literacy has become an essential competency for Guidance and Counseling teachers in the era of educational technology. BK teachers are expected to utilize digital media to educate students in a communicative, creative, and contextual manner. This community service program aimed to enhance the competencies of secondary school BK teachers in Payakumbuh City in using Canva as an educational medium for preventing sexual harassment among adolescents. The activity was conducted on August 9, 2025, at the Payakumbuh City Education Office by a team of lecturers and students from the Guidance and Counseling Professional Education Program, Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Padang (FIP UNP), as part of the Program Integrasi Prodi dan Nagari (PIPN). A total of 38 BK teachers participated in the hands-on training, which resulted in five digital posters themed on sexual harassment prevention. The activity results showed significant improvement in three aspects: technical skills in designing with Canva, internalization of moral values such as respect for personal boundaries and consent, as well as the ability to convert preventive counseling messages into visual media that is attractive and contextual for adolescents. This activity effectively strengthened the dual role of guidance and counseling teachers as skilled digital literacy agents while simultaneously protecting students through visual campaigns in schools, aligned with national policies on sexual violence prevention.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah masih ditemukannya siswa kelas X dan XI yang mengalami kecemasan sosial dalam interaksi dengan teman sebaya di lingkungan sekolah. Peer attachment diyakini sebagai salah satu faktor psikososial yang berperan dalam kecemasan sosial siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara peer attachment dengan kecemasan sosial pada siswa kelas X dan XI. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 249 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa skala peer attachment dan skala kecemasan sosial. Uji validitas dilakukan menggunakan teknik korelasi item total, sedangkan uji reliabilitas menggunakan Cronbach’s alpha. Uji hipotesis menggunakan analisis korelasi Pearson Product Moment dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar r = 0,273 dengan nilai signifikansi p < 0,05. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan positif antara peer attachment dengan kecemasan sosial siswa. Artinya, kualitas keterikatan dengan teman sebaya memiliki peranan dalam tingkat kecemasan sosial yang dialami siswa.

Abstract

The research is based on the importance of self-regulated learning (SRL) in supporting students' academic success, as they can set goals and evaluate their own learning process. However, in reality, a number of studies show that many students still have low SRL abilities. Furthermore, there are also indications of differences in SRL between males and females that need to be studied further, namely several findings that show significant differences, while other studies do not. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify differences in SRL based on gender at SMA Negeri 7 Padang. This study used a quantitative approach with a comparative method, involving 298 students as respondents, including 130 males and 168 females. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The findings of this study indicate that there is a significant difference between male and female students in terms of SRL, with female students scoring higher than male students (mean difference = -14.369). This shows that female students are better able to manage their own learning processes and are more responsible for their learning outcomes. These findings have important implications for guidance and counseling services in schools, especially in designing intervention strategies that are more suited to students' needs.

Abstract

The existence of career women in today's society is commonplace in line with developments in the era that have accustomed women to playing dual roles such as working outside the home and taking care of the household. This condition makes career women have greater responsibilities in their lives. With large responsibilities, many career women experience difficulties in dealing with various work and household problems, which can cause various psychological problems such as stress, depression and excessive anxiety. For this reason, the existence of a career counselor is needed to assist in the process of alleviating the problems of career women. This research aims to analyze the problems faced by career women and look at the role of counselors in overcoming them. This analysis uses a literature review approach. The results obtained from this review are that the problems of career women arise because of the many roles and functions of women in their lives, including as a wife, as a housewife, as successor of offspring, as a household manager and as a citizen. The problem of gender differences is a barrier for career women to develop their potential. Apart from being a worker, a career woman cannot be separated from her inherent identity as a wife, mother to her children and role model for those around her. In this case, counselors can design guidance and counseling services to help deal with problems faced by career women, counseling services regarding gender equality and multicultural counseling can be alternatives in providing assistance to career women with their problems.

Abstract

The integration of creativity into counseling methodologies has garnered significant scholarly attention due to its potential to enhance therapeutic interventions. Nevertheless, this literature review highlights several critical gaps that must be addressed to optimize the efficacy of creative strategies in counseling. The analysis identifies five primary areas of deficiency: limited empirical research on effectiveness, inadequate integration within established counseling theoretical frameworks, a restricted understanding of the underlying mechanisms of change, insufficient attention to cultural and individual variations, and a lack of standardized instruments and training protocols. By examining 18 contemporary sources, the findings underscore the urgent need for extensive longitudinal studies, exploration of creative integration within established counseling theories, comprehensive investigations into mechanisms of change, culturally specific adaptations, and the development of professional training initiatives. This article advocates for future research directions and practical pathways to strengthen the foundation of creativity integration in counseling and improve mental health service outcomes.

Abstract

Fenomena rendahnya kontrol diri siswa dalam belajar menjadi salah satu masalah umum yang muncul di sekolah. Kondisi ini ditunjukkan melalui perilaku siswa seperti kesulitan mengatur waktu belajar, menunda pengerjaan tugas, mudah terpengaruh ajakan teman, kurang mampu mengendalikan emosi, serta kurang mematuhi aturan belajar di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan  rendahnya kontrol diri siswa dalam belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif jenis deskriptif. Responden berjumlah 131 siswa SMP Negeri 1 Padang. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan skala kontrol diri yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dalam bentuk persentase. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa faktor internal; yang paling dominan meliputi personal 61,90%, sedangkan faktor eksternal paling dominan meliputi pengaruh sosial 48,85%. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pengaruh personal dan sosial menjadi faktor yang paling dominan menyebabkan rendahnya kontrol diri siswa dalam belajar, sehingga diperlukan upaya pembinan yang tepat untuk membantu siswa meningkatkan kemampuan mengontrol dri dalam belajar

Abstract

The phenomenon of declining social awareness among adolescents indicates that prosocial behavior has not developed optimally, which is thought to be related to low levels of individual empathy. Empathy, as the ability to understand and feel the emotional conditions of others, plays an important role in encouraging the emergence of prosocial behavior. This study aims to describe the level of empathy, describe the level of prosocial behavior, and examine the relationship between empathy and prosocial behavior in high school students. The respondents of this study were 254 students of SMA Negeri 4 Pariaman in grades X, XI, and XII, selected through a stratified random sampling technique. The study was conducted with a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The instruments used were the Student Empathy Scale and the Student Prosocial Behavior Scale using a Likert scale. Data were analyzed using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation test with the help of SPSS software version 27.0 for Windows. The results showed that the level of empathy was generally in the high category (65.75%), while the level of prosocial behavior was generally in the medium category (63.39%). The correlation analysis of the two variables showed a significant and positive relationship (r = 0.643; p <0.05).  The research results show that higher empathy tends to increase prosocial behavior. These findings should serve as a basis for school counselors and educational institutions in designing programs and interventions to enhance and develop empathy and prosocial behavior in students.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X dan XI yang kurang kepercayaan diri terhadap ekonomi keluarga yang belum mampu memenuhi keperluan pendidikan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara sikap terhadap status sosial ekonomi keluarga dengan kepercayaan diri siswa MAN 1 Padang Pariaman. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah 229 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Instrumen berupa kuesioner sikap terhadap status sosial ekonomi keluarga dan kuesioner kepercayaan diri siswa. Uji validitas dilakukan dengan teknik korelasi item total, sedangkan uji reliabilitas menggunakan Cronbach’s alpha. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai r = 0,577 dengan (<0,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa: (1) rata-rata skor capaian skap siswa mencapai 29,58 (48,09%) dengan kategori sangat tinggi, (2) rata-rata skor kepercayaan diri mencapai 107,85 (46,538%) dengan kategori sangat tinggi, (3) terdapat hubungan positif antara sikap dengan kepercayaan diri siswa. Implikasi penting bagi bidang Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) di MAN 1 Padang Pariaman adalah perlu adanya program bimbingan yang terstruktur untuk membentuk sikap positif siswa terhadap kondisi sosial ekonomi keluarga mereka.
