Abstract

The traditional village community of Dusun Dasan Beleq is the oldest Sasak tribe in Lombok and still maintains local wisdom in using plants as traditional medicine. This study aimed to identify the plant species, parts, and processing methods used by the local community for medicinal plants. This type of research is descriptive. The data were collected through primary research, including semi-structured interviews and non-participatory observations. The respondents were selected by purposive sampling, including traditional leaders and the local community. The stages of data analysis are data reduction (Data Reduction), data presentation (Data Display), and conclusion. The results showed that the people of the Dusun Dasan Beleq Traditional Village had knowledge of 25 species from 22 plant families. Leaves are one of the most commonly used plant parts besides flowers, fruits, seeds, and rhizomes. The processing of medicinal plants used by the people of the Dusun Dasan Beleq Traditional Village involves methods such as pounding, boiling, and squeezing.

Abstract

Karang Sidemen Village is an area endowed with rich natural resources that can contribute to the sustainability of the local economy. One form of resource utilization that remains practiced by the community is the traditional use of medicinal plants, commonly referred to as ethnobotany, which has been transmitted across generations. Nevertheless, the continuity of this ethnobotanical knowledge is increasingly threatened due to the absence of systematic scientific documentation. Beyond its role in maintaining public health, ethnobotany also holds significant potential as a contextual learning resource in senior high school biology, particularly in biodiversity-related topics grounded in local wisdom. Consequently, efforts to preserve and incorporate this knowledge into the educational process are essential. This study was conducted to identify the types of medicinal plants utilized by the residents of Karang Sidemen Village and to transform the findings into biology teaching materials. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied, with data gathered through direct field observations and semi-structured interviews. The collected data were subsequently developed into instructional materials using the ADDIE model, limited to the stages of analysis, design, and development. The findings indicated that the community utilizes 45 medicinal plant species belonging to 19 different families. Various plant parts, including rhizomes, leaves, flowers, fruits, and seeds, are employed and processed using methods such as boiling, pounding, grating, and squeezing. These medicinal preparations are administered in multiple ways, including drinking, topical application, attachment, and dripping. The research output was a booklet designed as a biology learning medium, which underwent expert validation and was deemed appropriate for instructional use.

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to determine the practicality of project model learning tools assisted by augmented reality to improve students' scientific literacy and creative thinking skills. This development research procedure refers to the stages in the 4D model which consists of four main stages, namely definition, design, development and dissemination. Practicality testing is carried out at the development stage after the definition and design stages. The instruments used for the practicality test consisted of observation sheets on learning implementation, teacher and student response questionnaires. The observers involved in filling in the learning implementation observation sheet and response questionnaire were 1 science teacher and 20 class VIII students islamic junior high school (MTs) in West Lombok, NTB. The results of the observation analysis of learning implementation at the first, second and third meetings were 91%, 97% and 99% respectively in the very practical category. The results of the analysis of teacher and student responses have a percentage of 97% and 93% in the very practical category. These results show that the tools developed are practical to apply in science learning.

Abstract

Creative thinking skills are one aspect that is part of 21st century skills. However, students' creative thinking skills are still relatively low, so it is very important to improve these skills. This study aims to identify and analyze research trends on creative thinking skills in science learning from 2016-2025. This research method is descriptive and analytical, with data obtained from documents indexed by Google Scholar using Publish or Perish and Dimension.ai. The research procedure uses the PRISMA guidelines and data analysis is carried out using bibliometric analysis assisted by VOSviewer software. The results of the analysis show that the trend of research on creative thinking skills in science learning has increased and decreased during the period 2016-2025. The increase in the number of publications occurred from 2016 to 2021, then decreased in 2022, and increased again from 2023-2024. There are many documents in the form of Chapters, Articles, Edited Books, Monographs, Proceedings, and Preprints that discuss research on creative thinking skills in science learning. Keyword analysis shows that the most frequently occurring terms in this study include Higher order thinking skill as many as 52 times and collaboration as many as 33 times. This trend reflects the growing attention to creative thinking skills in science learning and indicates the need for further efforts to improve research and application in this area
