In general, one of the final tasks of students who want to earn a bachelor's degree is to compile scientific papers or what is commonly called a thesis. Writing thesis, students are required to have independence in the process through the guidance process carried out by the supervisor. The process of writing a thesis requires adequate information support as a source of writing. The research method used in this research is a qualitative research method to describe the nature of the problem under investigation. Sulistyo-Basuki (2006: 78) describes qualitative research intending to get a complete reflection of things for the thoughts of people being watched. This study resulted in final year students of the faculty of social sciences at the UINSU Library. Based on the results of the discussions that have been carried out, seven information search strategies were found in this study. That is Ellis' information seeking behavior strategy. Information search behavior is an attitude or action in seeking or finding the information needed. Information search behavior is important to do to get the required information that can help in solving problems. Kriklas (2006: 16), argues that information seeking behavior is an activity in determining and identifying messages to satisfy perceived information needs. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method to describe the nature of the problems being monitored. This study aims to determine the map of the development of research trends in the IQRA Journal for the 2017-2021 period. This study formulates the problem of how the development of article publication trends and literature patterns in IQRA articles (Library and Information Journal) published in 2017-2021. This study used a descriptive research method with a quantitative approach using bibliometric analysis techniques. Mapping is done with co-word based mapping. The research sample is 89 IQRA articles for 2017-2021. In this study, two supporting applications in bibliometrics were used, namely Mendeley and VOSViewer. The results of the study show that the visualization of the results of research data processing using the 2017-2021 IQRA journal metadata is grouped into 4 clusters. The results of the VOSViewer analysis seen from the overlay visualization that the research topic in the journal IQRA 2017-2021 which has been carried out for a long time is about librarians and the latest research on services. The results of the density visualization mean that the keyword groups in the 2017-2021 IQRA journal have a relationship with each other, in which the most frequently researched topic is the library. Judging from its development, the most published articles published by the IQRA Journal were in 2019 and the lowest was in 2021.

In 2023, the social networking app Tik Tok is hugely popular. Sustainable development is within reach, and so is personal growth thanks to TikTok. Therefore, they can be very useful in spreading messages that encourage positive behavior change. TikTok campaigns on issues such as global warming, sexual violence, drug addiction, child labor, child and forced marriage, sexism in the workplace, and gender equality. Greater understanding and shifting perspectives can occur. The research intends to offer an analysis of how generation Z uses Tik Tok and #samasamabelajar hashtags to meet their information demands. A qualitative descriptive approach was taken to this investigation. Generation Z is the focus of this investigation into how hashtags on the Tik Tok app are used to fulfill requests for information. Information was collected from interviews with a sample of students at the Faculty of Social Sciences UIN Sumut. The findings reveal, first, that members of Generation Z have a strong preference for using the Tik Tok app. second, the typical content found on Tik Tok which is popular with generation Z. Finally, the information demands of generation Z are met through Tik Tok through #samasamabelajar hashtags. The writing of this article will provide new insights on how to leverage Tik Tok's social media platform for media through hashtags to meet the information needs of Generation Z and help them acquire and share new learning knowledge.

This study aims to determine the strategy of Indonesian bookstagrammers in packaging information that is interesting and informative for their audience , the format or content used in packaging information , the impact of bookstagrammer accounts on their audience , and how bookstagrammers can build a strong identity and community through this information packaging strategy . In this research process , the author uses a qualitative research method with a case study research type . The data collection method is carried out using the triangulation method by combining observation , FGD ( Focus Group Discussion ) and documentation . Furthermore , the stages in analyzing data using the Miles and Huberman model which functions of 3 main things : Data Reduction ( simplification ), Data Presentation , and finally Conclusion Drawing / Verification . The results showed that bookstagrammers apply the five hierarchies of design needs , namely the levels of functionality , reliability , usability , profession and creativity . The information packaging strategy activities carried out by bookstagrammers aim to disseminate information related to books , reading places. places that are reviewed in the selected content format to shows their characteristics or characteristics as bookstagrammers . Bookstagrammer becomes a reference and motivation for followers to read books , buy books through its repackaged content . In this case , bookstagrammers also build communications both with Instagram followers , with other bookstagrammers .

This research discusses the role of the Karo Regency Library and Archives Service in increasing interest in reading for children affected by the eruption of Mount Sinabung. This research was conducted with the aim, to find out the role of the Karo Regency Library and Archives Service in increasing reading interest in children affected by the eruption of Mount Sinabung, to find out the role of the library and archives service in socializing libraries to children affected by the eruption of Mount Sinabung, to find out the obstacles faced by the Office of the Republic of Indonesia. Karo Regency Library and Archives in increasing interest in reading for children affected by the eruption of Mount Sinabung. The research method used in this thesis is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used is by means of observation, interviews and documentation, while the data analysis technique is carried out in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are that the role of the Karo Regency Library and Archives Service has been carried out as a public library for children and the community in Karo district, but for children who were affected by the eruption of Mount Sinabung there is not yet. The role of the Karo Regency Library and Archives Service in socializing the Karo Regency Library to children affected by the eruption of Mount Sinabung is still carried out in schools only, however, a special program has not been made for visits to relocation villages. The first obstacle faced by the Karo Regency Library and Archives Service in increasing the reading interest of children affected by the eruption of Mount Sinabung was the first budget, inadequate facilities and low interest in reading.

In this case,the researcher discusses the use of Pulut Balai in every Malay traditional tradition in Asahan, the meaning of Pulut Balai, as well as the dynamics of changes in the form and meaning of Pulut Balai from 1980-present. This research uses an antropological approach, namely a way to understand a groupand human culture and their development. The method used to collect data in this research is a qualitative research method combining literature review and filed observation. The findings obtined from this research are, Pulut Balai is a continer for placing pulut used by the Malay community in various Malay traditions. Pulut Balai is a symbol of greatnes and the pride of the Malay tribe. Pulut Balai is used by the Malay community in Asahan for various tradition and has different meanings in each tradition. At the Upah-upah wedding and circumcision event, Pulut Balai is interpreted as a unification and hope for the family, at the Upah-upah Songgot Pulut Balai event it is interpreted as a symbol of the spirit and prayers of the person being singed, in the Pulut Balai Al-Qur'an Reading event, it is interpreted as a symbol of gratitude to Allah for the ability to read the Al-Qur'an, Meanwhile, the Upah-upah Berhaj/Umrah event means gratitude to Allah for the abundance of good fortune so that you can perform the Hajj or Umrah. However, as time progresses, Pulut Balai also experiences dynamics in form which influences its meaning. The Malay people pay less attention to the meaning elements of Pulut Balai, namely by modifying the appearance of Pulut Balai excessively, thus changing its appearance and meaning.

Generation Z adolescents' religious information-seeking behavior has undergone significant transformations in understanding and studying the patterns of searching, processing, and using religious information. Research gaps exist in local cultural variations on transforming Generazion Z adolescents' religious information-seeking behavior in the digital era, which also occurs in information access patterns, social media platform preferences, and responses to religious content. This study focused on information access using the Ellis Model to analyze the behavior of information search stages: browsing, chaining, filtering, monitoring, and understanding adolescents' religious preferences. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method involving Rohis activists from six high schools in three cities, Medan, Yogyakarta, and Makassar, as research samples. Data were collected through observation and FGD. Study results showed that Generation Z accessed religious information digitally through social media due to its accessibility and interactivity. However, they still referred to local and popular religious figures to clarify and validate religious information. Social media played an important role in shaping religious views despite the challenges of spreading misinformation and disinformation. Their information-seeking behavior reflected a combination of digital exploration and conventional references; adolescents actively utilized, created, and shared religious information. The Ellis Model's relevance in understanding information-seeking behavior in the digital era and cultural variations contributes to information behavior study by highlighting the dynamics of technology use in meeting the younger generation's spiritual needs. Practical implications include recommendations for improving digital literacy through technology-based education and partnerships with religious authorities to provide credible and moderate content.

This study aims to determine the fulfillment of the needs of user collections and to find out the obstacles faced in meeting the needs of users. The research method used is a qualitative method with descriptive research that uses interviews to describe data obtained by researchers directly from informants. Some of the data collection techniques carried out in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, researchers conducted interviews with 4 informants, namely the Head of the Archives and Library Office of Bener Maeriah Regency, the Head of the Library Section, and 2 visiting users. The results of the research revealed that in fulfilling the needs of users of library collections, the Archives Office and the district library were actually busy carrying out several activities, namely the selection of library materials, the procurement of library materials, and the care of library materials. However, in meeting the needs of users, namely library collections are constrained by a very minimal budget, inadequate collections, human resources and limited time access, thus affecting the fulfillment of user needs to meet the needs of users.
